Future Trunks (Dragon Ball)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name: Future Trunks
Series: Dragon Ball
Gender: Male
Status: Alive
Family: Future Bulma (Mom)
Flower Motif: Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non‑scripta)
Flower Meaning: Constancy
Weapon of Choice: Claymore
Associated With: Interdimensional Hero Club
Hero Form Appearance: An outfit that takes direct inspiration from Chrono Trigger, from the sword to the adventurer’s armor- and YuYuYu’s Hero Form Outfits. The tunic itself is made of lightweight yet strong material, and is a vibrant blue to match the bluebell’s color scheme; yet fades to a soft lilac as you reach the ends of it. The pants are the same case, while the boots and gauntlets are built to weather anything- and they’re a solid silver to help contrast with the outfit. The outfit’s main accents are white, orange, yellow, and gold to help balance things out, and the bluebell’s petal shape can be seen in the lower half of the tunic (And the sleeves) and pants, and the bluebell’s flower can be seen as earrings.
Full Bloom Gauge Location: Left Shoulder
Guardian: Kawino (Based on the Kawabotaru)

Parallel To: None
Bio: Hailing from a future ravaged by androids, Trunks is the half-Saiyan son of Vegeta and Bulma Brief. In the hopes of averting disaster, he has traveled into the past to fight alongside the world's strongest heroes.

Plant of the Day
Saturday 3 May 2025
The flowers of Hyacinthoides hispanica (Spanish bluebell, large bluebell, Spanish squill) come in blue, pink and white. The species originates in Spain, Portugal and North Africa and was introduced to the UK as a garden plant in the 17th century. It is invasive and poses a significant threat to the native Hyacinthoides non-scripta (English bluebell) through hybridisation and competition.
Spanish bluebell is listed on Schedule 9 of the UK Wildlife & Countryside Act as an invasive non-native species. Although not banned from sale, it is an offence to plant or cause these to grow in the wild in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

I'm not the most patriotic person but I will die on the hill that there's no more wonderful sight than a carpet of English Bluebells in British woodland during spring

What's blooming in the garden today? Well maybe it's time for another walk down the garden path. As regular visitors know, the house is up for sale and by next summer I expect to have a planter box on a balcony, and maybe a couple of houseplants for company. This is day three of my garden tour. I hope you're enjoying it. I know I am.
And I'm not done yet...
In order of appearance:
Rhododendron hybrida
Ajuga reptans (bugleweed)
 Symphytum x uplandicum (Russian comfrey)
Tellima grandiflora (fringecups)
Hyacinthoides non-scripta (common bluebell)
Rosa rugosa (rugosa rose)
Convallaria majalis (lily-of-the-valley)

Kid!Trunks (Dragon Ball)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name: Kid!Trunks
Series: Dragon Ball
Gender: Male
Status: Alive
Family: Bulma (Mom), Vegeta (Dad), Bulla (Baby Sister)
Flower Motif: Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non‑scripta)
Flower Meaning: Constancy
Weapon of Choice: Gauntlets
Associated With: Interdimensional Hero Club
Hero Form Appearance: A combination of a young inventor’s outfit and YuYuYu’s Hero Form outfits. The undersuit of the outfit is a jet black so it can serve as a canvas for the main outfit- which is of course, blue- but becomes more of a sky blue when you reach the lower half of the pants, the lower half of the sleeves, and the tailcoat. The accent colors include gold, silver, black, white, gray, and yellow. The boots and belt have patterns of bluebells on them, and the only other accessory is a pair of wristbands that look like bluebells. The flower’s petal shape can be seen in the tailcoat and sleeves.
Full Bloom Gauge Location: Left Thigh
Guardian: Kobo (Based on a Kobold)
Favorite Food: Definitely my mom’s cooking.
Parallel To: None
Bio: Kid!Trunks is the Human and Saiyan hybrid son of Bulma and Vegeta. His best friend is Goku’s younger son, Goten, and believe me, you should never leave the two of them in a room together. Trust me.

Common Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta)
Family: Asparagus Family (Asparagaceae)
IUCN Conservation Status: Unassessed
Adapted to life in deciduous forests with dense canopies that limit the degree to which low-growing plants can access sunlight, Common Blubells survive by rapidly developing and reproducing during the early spring before the trees around them develop their leaves. In the later spring and early summer, as taller competing plants develop leaves, the flowers, stems, leaves and even roots of members of this species wither as they enter a dormant state until the following spring, with only an onion-like subterranean bulb, packed with sugars produced through photosynthesis during the non-dormant period, remaining; come next year's spring, the sugars in the bulb are used to facilitate the rapid development of new roots and leaves, allowing the bluebell to repeat the process year after year. Common Bluebells can reproduce both sexually (producing 5-12 small, pale-purple bell-shaped flowers that droop notably to one side when in bloom, with each flower possessing pollen-producing "male" organs and pollen-receiving "female" organs, with any flower that is pollinated developing into a small seed-filled pod that drops its seeds as the plant goes dormant) and asexually (with new but genetically identical bulbs, known as "daughter bulbs" developing as offshoots from the sides of an existing mature bulb, known as a "mother bulb",) and as they thrive in shady deciduous forests and are unable to easily disperse their seeds or bulbs over any great distance, it is not unusual for the understory of a forest that supports members of this species to be completely dominated by them during the spring - such forests are referred to in some regions as "bluebell woods'."
