And then KP scrambling to put together a hasty statement trying to make it sound like a royal thing somehow. Lol

Now I wish she had gone. Years later it would have come out that she got some poor, old sod somewhere to buy her a ticket and then ghosted the bloke immediately afterwards. Hahaha... What a treat it would have been lol

If she had appeared at the 2018 gala, I think Meghan probably would have ended up on the "partially slayed" spectrum, with some grade inflation for being there. Jessica absolutely would've gone for the Jessica Rabbit look, maybe with a literal halo too (the theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, which was pretty controversial). I'm not sure what Meghan would have chosen, but it'd probably be something like the Ralph and Russo engagement dress but on a Dior/Chanel scale.

If she had appeared at the 2019 gala, whose theme was "Camp" and which nobody followed (because what exactly is campy fashion), it would've been on the "literally traumatizing" side of the spectrum.

And while I've forced you all onto the topic of Met Gala (#sorrynotsorry), can I just say how excited I am for this year? I'm expecting lots of gorgeous floral vintage and I cannot wait to see what Zendaya and Law Roache do. They have been killing it for the Dune 2 red carpets. Part of me hopes she wears McQueen, like this one but I think that particular gown may end up being part of the display.

I saw Promare again and wrote a short (?) spoiler Twitter thread about the experience. Transcript under the cut.

Sadly, the 4D does seem to only be on Wednesday, and I won’t be able to go because I didn’t buy a ticket soon enough, and it’s all sold out where I’m at....

Tweet Transcript: I'm always a slut for Promare and couldn't help myself, so I went and saw the film again today (and I'm gonna see it Tuesday too lol I've seen this movie four times now (three times in theaters and also at the AX premiere this movie is2g)).  

Anyway, short(?) spoiler thread? 

I wanted to go today 'cause I thought it'd be 4D? But it wasn't?? I was so looking forward to smelling the roses when Galo knocks off Lio's helmet Is the 4D just on Wednesday? Or only in very specific theaters? I am so confused. I will totally see it Wed too for 4D, though.

Despite staff at Kumoricon saying that both the Galo and Lio shorts would be shown with this redux, the advertising was correct: only Galo's short was played. A lot of people walked in late and missed parts of it at my theater. Don't be late for the redux, y'all!

This was my first time ever going to watch a movie alone in theaters, I think. Seemed like the folks next to me were also going alone. You gotta appreciate Promare for getting introverted shut-ins like me outta the house, pfft.

The roundtable after the credits is still a thing! But there's ALSO an "Inferno" singalong! With a little music video. It's not the full song, and nobody actually sang along at my theater, ahaha, but. The "lead me to you" parts. Oh my goodness.

For the first "lead me to you," the accompanying footage is Galo and Lio's heart explosion. For the second "lead me to you," it's their fist bump at the end of the film. My heart. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I don't think I have too much more to say about the film itself here, but because I can't shut up about the Kill la Kill comparisons, I also noticed a new comparison this watch. When Lio and Galo are in Deus X Machina, Lio gets miffed at Galo for being a kinda crap pilot, pff.

And that just reminded me of episode 3 in Kill la Kill. Senketsu also gets miffed at Ryuko for being a kinda crap "pilot" of their own synchronization.  

Will I ever shut up about Lio and Senketsu comparisons? Probably not. I find it *so* interesting. Nakashima, I have so many ?s. 

On another note, I know they're probably cleaning up parts of this film for the Blu-ray release, but those dorky frames of Lio's hair during Deus's info dump near the end of the film better stay put, pfft. They're beautiful. 

I also realized for the first time that Thyma's name is actually spoken in the film??? And I'm so embarrassed because I'm planning on cosplaying this character and have been pronouncing her name incorrectly 😳

(For those curious, it sounds like it's THEE-MA.)

Regarding the ending, now knowing from Kumoricon that squares represent the city and ice, triangles represent the Burnish, and circles represent "spoiler," I felt super emotional about the sun's light changing from squares to circles at the end. Promare's ending is so good.

To wrap things up, Promare is still a real treat to see on the big screen. I'm excited to see the dub again on Tuesday! And especially excited to hear the dub of the short!!

Yeah,the guy is a little annoying, being nice to him was a burden for Saeyoung too.You’re always very nice, but he knows by now this can tire you a lot.
