(@ask-north) Wisteria @ Loki: "Ohhhh woahhh…" The small ghost seemed to stare at Loki in awe, she'd never seen a pokemon quite like them. Her expression quickly shifted into a gleeful smile, "You have purple too!!" She squeaked out excitedly, "You know, My mom was purple!" Wisteria happily swayed trying her best to resist hugging the taur. "Oh! Don't tell her this!! But you're purple is way prettier than hers! I wanna be a pretty purple someday. Maybe when I become a Mismagius I'll be purple like you!" She rambled on before finally pausing.

"I wish I had a mom like you! Maybe you can be part of my family too and then you can be like my mom!" She nodded giddily, Wisteria was getting a bit ahead of herself already trying to add Loki to her family, maybe it was too sudden but she appeared to be insistent on this, determined even. "If you're like my mom does that mean I can have more friends!?!" She gasped, "How many new family members do I get?! Do I get kids to play with??" Children, parents, siblings perhaps the taur had family members to add?

Loki had been playing one of the ticket cyclone games, hitting a jackpot a mere moment before the small ghost began floating over and staring at her with squeaks and glee. She ignored the flowing tickets, listening to the excitable girl ramble and flickering her ears intently. When the youth was finished, Loki's own smile matched Wisteria's glee as she posed proudly in front of her.

"I do have purple!" Loki rumbled, noticing the Misdreavus' wiggling and desires to hug her, before shaking her head and wrapping the ghost in her arms in an affectionate bear hug. "And you're easy to snuggle." She stuck out her tongue happily, leaning down and nuzzling her snout against Wisteria's face with occasional licks and affectionate purrs. "Well, purrple, as it were, anyway." She grinned proudly at that, despite the pun being awful. "Aww… I'm sure your mom was just as beautiful a purple as I am, honey. Maybe she wasn't a taur like I am, but I'm positive she was gorgeous, and you'll evolve into a wonderful Mismagius. Bright, purple, and happy, just like I am… and I'll be proud as can be to see it!"

"What do you mean, you wish you had a mom like me??" Loki mused, gently tapping her fingers over Wisteria's head in a rhythmic motion, petting the ghost and rocking her in her arms. "You don't have to wish for something like that, sweetheart. I'll gladly be your mom if you're really that adamant about it!" She chuckled softly to herself, tail swaying in thought. "Oh, honey, you're going to make friends all over the place… with how bubbly and full of love you are? Absolutely!"

"Let's see… there's my daughter Bijoux who's in college… my girl Celeste who visits from time to time, my half-sister Starla, my brother Bhut, my granddaughter Darya, countless kids I've babysat over the years who've called me Aunt Loki. You're going to be so spoiled you won't know what to do with all the attention you're going to be getting!" She nodded, picking up the collected tickets and sneaking them over to Wisteria's collection. "I love how I come here to celebrate my nephew Lunch's birthday and I'm sitting here leaving with another daughter. It's almost like kids just basically fling themselves into my life and I'm suddenly everyone's mom… and I couldn't ask for anything better."

I've been hanging in there. Unfortunately I haven't been released from the hospital yet, but the doctors say that I might be able to here in a few days. They want to make sure I have enough strength and energy to be able to move around in a wheelchair at least a little bit before releasing me. Thankfully Tails has been around to help me out and is planning on sticking around a bit longer to make sure I'll be okay with Ray. I kind of wish I didn't need to chair-bound, but not much I can do about that really.

I wish I could say it's been getting easier, but honestly without the pain relief I've been receiving I don't think I'd be functioning as much as I have been. Granted it's been a lot of sleeping, when I can, but it's something. The docs say that I'm extremely lucky, but I just told them that us blue hedgehogs have a nack of getting extremely lucky. Some of them weren't as amused as I was at the joke, unfortunately.

When I get out of this damn hospital, the first place I'm going is to see you and I mean it. Even if I have to roll my chair over the by myself. I'm not going to lie, not having you to talk to is driving me a little stir crazy. I wish you could be here with me, but I understand why you can't. There's a lot on my mind and I think only you could really help me make sense of it all.

Please enjoy the little goodies Tails and I got you and Mina. I hope they help a little. Maybe once we are all back to our normal selves, we can finally go on that double date we've been talking about. I'm split between karaoke or a hiking trip myself and I don't think Ray will be able to easily pick between those two.

     {➹} – IT HAD BEEN A FEW very uneventful weeks, much to the elder’s annoyance. Deep down he knew it couldn’t really be helped, he was still far from peak health and still couldn’t quite get around on his own but he was back on his feet and that was something. Even if he couldn’t manage it for very long but, luckily, either Mina or one of his teammates were there to make sure he and the ground didn’t meet anytime soon. 

     Still, there was only so much to occupy the hero’s time in the base. Only so much television he could watch and only so many hours he could spend talking to the others. Apart from overseeing a certain project, a new addition to the chamber he spent more and more time in these days, nothing of note had happened and it was making him restless. The worst part was that no one was letting him leave the base, not for a little while longer anyway and he wasn’t in a very patient mood. 

     Nevermind that he wanted out, but he still needed to check on Lil. While he didn’t doubt any of the updates Amy and Tekno had been sending nearly everyday, he still wanted to see his alternate for himself. To given them a proper thanks, and then promptly scold them for being so reckless, hypocritical as it would have been.

     But it seemed Lil had beaten him to the punch, at least somewhat, and when the hero saw the letter amongst all the other gifts his curiosity had come full swing. Seemed a little archaic but it didn’t stop him from opening it and reading over its contents. Just the first three words had him feeling better than he had in the last few weeks. 

     Worry had come over him soon after, however. Hearing that the other was still in pain and going to be wheelchair bound caused a guilt to surge in the hero right along with it. He had been hoping it wasn’t that bad, but it seemed it had been wishful thinking. He was just glad that their version of the fox was there to help, not to mention Amy and Tekno if Lil needed it. Though he had to chuckle at the mentioned joke. Yeah, he imagined the doctors weren’t impressed with that one at all.

    At least it seemed they were on the same page with wanting to see one another, and Arrow was going to make sure that happened sooner rather than later. Even if he had to sneak out. Mina would have his hide, but it would be worth it. But it didn’t take long for a smile to come to Arrow’s muzzle as he read the rest. Right, they did still have that date, didn’t they? Although the four of them doing karaoke? Seemed a little one sided but it did pique the hero’s interest. 

     He was engrossed in the letter enough that he hadn’t noticed his partner coming to stand over his shoulder until she nudged his head with her own. The resulting jump made her give an apologetic look, and a small kiss to a tan cheek for good measure, before both of them turned back to the piece of paper. It didn’t take long for Mina to get caught up and the next words out her mouth weren’t ones the hero had been expecting. 

     “Think it’s time to go visit?” There was little to suggest she was kidding, and after looking at one another the hero knew she was being quite serious. It was due time, and she wanted to see Lil too. She had a lot to thank him for. 

     It was only because of Lil that she could still look into those eyes she loved so much, still far from their usual green but still full of the life she had been so drawn to. Especially now that a visit was in the works and she swore the hero’s smile could have lit up that whole room, even with the playful spark just under it all.  “I’d say so. ‘S long as you don’t mind supporting me on the way there, of course.”

     “How is that different than any other day?” The mongoose hadn’t missed a beat as she smiled at him, leaning forward to give wrap her arm around his shoulders for a hug, or as close to it as she could get with him sitting on the couch and her standing behind it. “We’ll go in a day or two, promise.”

Rangers, Monks, and certain race features got buffed! (This is after lvl 10 for story)

Rangers can move stealthily in any environment (honestly thought it was dumb that they couldn't do this before).

Beast Master's don't have to give up their turn to command. Talking is a free action, so it goes after you in the Initiative order.

Feral senses activated at lvl 10. Why is it so late for a class that is known for hunting?

Horizon walker isn't touched, because it's good for right now.

Monk: Ki Points

Hoo boy. Ki points refresh on short rest and you get double per monk level. This is the key(trying not to pun) function of the class, and its needed to do your cool attacks. Why not have more than you need for cooler tricks?

Aasimars: Race Features

You're literally an angel or a devil, why limit your wings? You get it 3 times per day now.

War Boars and RoGs

War Boars are a new mount you can find either in the wild or bought through a magic salesman. (I teased this with Gurrim finding a large Boar and somehow it growing in the presence of wild magic)

These Boars are one of the few left overs from the old races from the beginning of Muestra. These large pigs only have their genetics activated in later boars and pigs when in the presence of a magical person or mana pools. They can be saddled and have a strange loyalty not seen in most farm animals.

War Boar, large beast

Speed: 35 Swim: 30 | AC: 14 | HP: 60

Weight it can carry: 1 ton

Con +3 | Int +2

Same attacks as a regular boar, but with multiattack.

Damage resistances: Anything nonmagical

It has been breed and used by larger races for high meat and low fat, but due to the introduction of the pigs from old Europe (it has been explained this is canon) the genetics have been hidden into the smaller pigs. Sometimes you can get these War Boars by dunking small piglets in Mana Pools, but it's not advised.

Some boars in proximity to humans, who wield dangerous magic, can copy them and use magic themselves. Only small spells though, don't expect the porker to chuck fireball. However it seems that those who can, can only manage first and second level spells.

It's a perfect companion for war medics because it has the snout of a Boar, the magic of a caster, but its the size of a wagon, making it a smart and fast transport.

RoGs: Rodents of Giant Size

While the RoUS is indeed unusual, these rats are big enough to instill fear in any wanting adventurer who dares to venture into the mysterious labyrinth at the edge of the sea, the Sea Spire.

RoGses are rodents of Giant size, sea rats that washed over to the Sea spire and made it their home, destroying the inhabitants of the old Triton forge and digging in the ancient tunnels to guard their new home. These giant rodents only grew that way due to the unfortunate sailors and curious adventurers who venture either too deep or too close.

These are the Apex predators of their habitat. Some are smart enough to create the language of those they ate, luring their prey deeper into the Sea Spire, but these are rare as they are the smaller variety. The rideable ones are the stronger ones who guard the treasure dropped by their ill gotten prey.

They do not have magic.

FruBa: Catsuki Baku-Kyo

Yeah, doing more anime fan art, but next piece won't be related to that! But I've wanted to draw this for a while, so here's Kyo dressed as Bakugo from My Hero Academia. As a fan of both BNHA and FruBa, some of the characters in the latter remind me a bit of the characters in the former. Kyo tends to give me Bakugo vibes here and there for a load of reasons.

Like with Kirishima in one of Haru's outfits, "Baku-Kyo" was yet another drawing idea I had in my head for ages and was finally motivated to execute it. It came to me later that I should draw Kyo wearing one of those grenade gauntlets, and it had to be on his right arm. That's mainly because we usually see him wear his bracelet around his left wrist. And yes, Bakugo has worn only one of his gauntlets before (not just in Heroes Rising), but during the USJ arc, because he wasn't wearing his mask either. I took that detail as an opportunity for how to draw Baku-Kyo's arms. 😊

I had a lot of fun making this drawing, and especially coloring it. I have mixed feelings about Kyo's hair, but for a first time, he looks really good imo. Wanted to have a little fun and decided to draw Kyo's cat ears during the sketching process, because I love it when some of the Cursed Sohmas' animal parts (mainly ears and a tail) appear. As much as I love Momiji in bunny ears and Kisa with tiger ears and tail, I love Kyo's cat ears a lot. 😹 Plus, I couldn't resist making a cat-like pun with Bakugo's first name at the last moment. I can only grow from here with Kyo.

Volkan grumbles.

“Hey, now. We’re almost in Bandit Town. Now, these claws can probably handle climbing the mountain, but it’ll only get colder. And if you sink any further into this fur, I’ll never find you again.” She gives Volkan an affectionate pat on the head, then starts pacing around the mountain’s base.
