everything has been a whirlwind of emotions for you these past couple of weeks. starting from the mama practice, minji kissing you on the roof deck, hanni’s confession at han river, and jinni’s departure. dispatch caught you and that was a blessing in disguise. being on lockdown means you have time to think things through and process everything. 

all of this… brings back unwanted memories.

its izone all over again. jinni leaving gives off the impression of disbanding, even when the possibility of staying together was there with millions of support. no one was willing to take the risk. similarly with your own feelings towards wonyoung before, your first love who is happily working twice as hard.

why didn’t i confess?

at such a young age, you were forced onto focusing on debuting, working hard, moving to a different country without your parents there to comfort you 24/7. the pressure of it all simply made you focus on becoming an idol, as if you didn’t have a choice with your parents having faith that you’ll do well. that was how you and chaewon ended, she was just someone to fill that hole in your heart, being deprived of love and affection, filled with harsh critics and strict rules that makes you question if you’ll live another day.

the fear of disappointing your parents was the driving force to always make the safe decision, and that was kim chaewon. although you never felt yourself loving her as much as she loved you, clearly someone else occupied your heart.

jang wonyoung, the girl that filled your mind with what ifs. the very same girl who chose you over anyone else again and again yet you were too dense to notice it wasn’t platonic. she loved you the same way you loved her, but being young and with multiple eyes watching your every move, maybe that was another reason why you never confessed.

the familiarity of it all brings you back to your original train of thought. kim minji and pham hanni.

it was weird at first, how minji reminds you of chaewon. your ex and best friend in izone. she’s grown within a year of disbandment and yet she still captivates you. then again, she is still the same kim chaewon that deals with your childlike behavior, holds your hand within any crowded spaces, reminds you to stay grounded, and overall your best friend during produce to izone and until now.

minji is like that, your first date clearly shows it. maybe that’s why you’re so allured to her because of the familiarity she gives off. yes, you like her but do you like her enough to actually pursue a relationship with her?

familiarity led you to not admitting your feelings to wonyoung. the fear of ruining a good dynamic. yujin was there anyway, wonyoung deserved better and that was yujin. a relationship that is already perfect on its own without the complication of romantic feelings. chaewon was there. you also liked her at that time but it wasn’t as strong as it was for wonyoung.

eunbi knew this, she’s the other sister figure you leaned on to aside from jihyo. the thing is that you broke two hearts instead of one, wonyoung also didn’t confess in which you recently found out, and chaewon was actually into you more than you were.

you fear repeating the same mistake.

then there’s the uncertainty. the uncharted waters of your feelings, one similar and stronger than the one you felt with wonyoung.

hanni gives off that uncertainty. the fear of taking the risk and going on a deep dive towards the unknown. there’s the thrill of it, but you’re a coward that gets overwhelmed easily who needs someone to hold their hand when in a crowded room.

your first date with hanni was perfect, trying new things despite being uncertain whether hanni would enjoy it as well. it makes you question how strong the butterflies in your stomach would last and not actually make you sick, how the littlest details she keeps in mind, and willing to take the time to get to know you better.

hanni did make you happy, feel loved and heard, someone who sees you as a person and not as an idol. maybe that’s why its unfamiliar for you because you never experienced these things with the person who truly has your heart.

minji isn’t chaewon.

hanni isn’t wonyoung.

this entire thing is completely different from them because for once, you actually know that she likes you back.

eunbi is right, you shouldn’t settle for someone because you have this sense of familiarity around them. she wants you to take the risk, take the leap of faith, what is there to lose when she likes you back? you can take it slow, its your decision, your parents aren’t here to be disappointed in you. this is your life, your love life, its going to be a wasted opportunity if you let her go.

Let’s Talk Boys Planet | Elimination 2

The second round of eliminations is finally over. We’ll go through the top 9 and then a few other contestants that deserve some attention (good or bad).

#1 Hanbin – I mean, nothing new to see here. Will he pull a Cai Xukun and be center, place first throughout the entire competition and then be center and first place again? Probably and honestly I don’t blame people for it.  If we have to compare to PDX (we don’t have to but I want to), I think Yohan was a bit more charismatic but Hanbin is overall more well rounded, but Yohan had been a trainee for a very short period of time back then.

#2 Zhag Hao – I mean, the centers be centering idk. He is very good, and does his best always. I think he will look great in the final group.

#3 Yujin – I have no doubt he will debut and I honestly think he did a good job in Law, where did that low voice of his even came from? However, his mental health really concerns me. I don’t know how much of the way he acts is him being an introvert (and this kind of environment doesn’t helpt at all) and how much is because that stupid judge decided that it would be a good idea do talk a fucking teenager like he was a 35 year old man. I hope that as time goes on and he realizes how talented he is, his confidence will come back. I know a lot of people are against him debuting because he is so young but honestly most people don’t actually give a shit, if they did Wonyoung wouldn’t have debuted in Izone, Dohyung wouldn’t have debuted in X1, Somi wouldn’t have been in I.O.I and so many others that didn’t go through a reality show like this. People are making a big deal out of it but they don’t actually care.  And let’s be clear, once the show is over and he does make the cut, people will not say “I won’t stan this group because he is too young”. I bet whatever you guys want that in less than six months someone will have written filthy smut with him as the main character and will sexualize everything he does. So please, don’t be hypocrites, if you don’t like him just say so, okay?

#4 Matthew – I like him, I was voting for him but I’m not crazy over him. The second I had to drop someone from my voting list he was the first one to go. This doesn't mean that he is bad, it just means that he doesn’t do it for as much as he does for other people.

#5 Jiwoong - Like I said before, sometime I am a basic bitch. Comparing to PDX (we don’t have to but we will), Jiwoong gives me very much Wooseok vibes, in the sense that he looks very cold and sometimes it makes me wonder if he even wants to be there. He isn’t the best singer but he’s a good dancer in the idol form not like a dancer, dancer. In these few last episodes we were able to see some of his personality and he longer seems to cosplay Elsa.

#6 Gyuvin – Sometimes the basic bitch doesn’t get it, okay? I don’t personally think that he is handsome, he hardly sings in the songs that he was given, and he is an okay dancer I think. I can’t even remember which song he chose in the second round (after much though, like 2 whole minutes, I remembered that he was in Love Killa). So, again, comparing to PDX, he gives Jungmo vibes but with a Minhee lookalike face.

#7 Taerae – I knew that was going to make it into the top 9 and I’m sure he won’t be getting out of it at all, Koreans do love him and he deserves it. He is such a good singer. His voice is so calming and beautiful and he has the sweetest smile. Him and Keita were the only one who made into top 9 without any benefits and that’s very hot of them.

#8 Keita – dude is outstanding. He can sing, can dance, can rap, is super talented (YG is a dumb bitch). Apparently his only negative point, according to Kntez, is the fact that he isn’t tall but he love a short king. I don’t how much his rank will fluctuate now that we can only vote for 3 people but I hope he can debut because Rain is basically selling his group out.

#9 Gunwook – HE MADE IT!! By a short margin, almost didn’t, but he’s here. I hope he stays here and doesn’t go anywhere at all. I love him so much, from the first episode. It seems that Mnet wants him debut so I’m assuming that he will get a lot of positive editing in the next episodes so try and get him to rank higher. People think that he is scary but he is actually just a giant baby who knows that he is good GOOD. The fact that he gets in the top 9, if we just consider the Korean votes, makes me really happy and hope that there’s a chance of him making it.

And now onto the trainees that didn’t made it but I want to mention:

Hui – I called it in my last post, he dropped and he won’t be getting back up. I have a feeling that since the Hyuna and Dawn thing people have a personal vendetta against Pentagon and the members, Hui most of all. I remember how during RTK all the other groups voted for Pentagon but their votes were actually very low when it came from the audience. So yeah, he is great but he won’t make it here. I hope he can debut solo, for real, and have everyone by the balls like B.I did with BTBT.

Jongwoo – I decided to give him my third vote even though he didn’t make it the first and second round. Dude is crazy good, a born leader (I loved to see him chewing up Ma Jing Xian’s ass, that guys really need a wake up call and that was so hot of him). I hope he is the dark horse of the season. From the current top 9, I would take out Gyuvin and get him up there, but realistic he is probably against Gunwook which makes me nervous. I guess it’s a good think that I’m voting for both of them.

Shuaibo – Please tell me what you guys see in this dude, PLEASE. When I said that I don’t get the hype Gyuvin it wasn’t hate, I don’t get it but I accept it. With this guy is pure hate. Like, I watched his fancams and I don’t get it. He half asses everything. HE WANTED Feel Special, he chose it from the started, said it was the only song he wanted, and then proceeded to boycott his own team. Woongi carried the whole performance on his own and for some reason Shuaibo still placed first, still placed higher than Woongi the overall rank. You can’t say that you’re voting for him because he is handsome, because he is not. So what the hell is it? Is it pitty because he didn’t make it to the chinese show is was part of of? TELL ME WHAT IT IS! People say that he is great but I’m yet to see anything from him. He is low-average at best. My hate comes from the fact that he is trying to be in a group but he is not a team player and he doesn’t even try to hide it. I saw people commenting on the fact that that Mnet always cuts his speeches but honestly, thank god. He ranks this high being bad and having a bad edit on his back, imagine what he would do if he could have a single chance to do anything that isn’t hateful.

Wang Zihao – He has no chance of making it into the group. Mnet hates him, dude never even got a mic during the recordings but he is sooooooo good. H was someone I paid attention to during Kill This Love and then again in Law. Mnet, you piece of shit. H will probably be eliminated in the next round since he had very little votes in Korea (the lowest of them all 30k only) but I still want to see him kick some ass in the next round.

My three votes for this round go to Gunwook, Jiwoong and Jongwoo.

It’s really interesting to see how much the ranks change if you take into consideration only the Korean votes or only the Global votes. One of them has 5 global trainees and the other one only has 2. Any wild guesses?

I guess that’s all I had to say. I’m looking forward to see which song will be the song of the season, like U Got I and Move were for Produce X. The song that the group will carry with them once the show is over.

I talked so much about X1 and PDX in this post. I’m going to hate myself but I’ll go back and watch of the performances again.

Wonyoung was happy to be at MAMA again. What made her even happier, in addition to performing and receiving all the love from Wizones, was that you were there, with her. Not exactly with her, since the location of the tables was made so that her group and yours were somewhat distant, but you both were there, giving sneaky glances at each other and dancing excitedly during more animated performances by groups you liked. "Oh, thank you so much!", you came a little closer to her to allow the girls to go up the narrow stairs. "I'm in love with your album too. ASAP always manages to make me very happy, even on days when my mood is not... good."

You were not praising each other for no reason, you had known each other long enough to not need formal praises.

"Hey, what's up, Wonnie?", you asked, hurrying to catch up with her, but keeping an expression of false happiness on your face.

"Nothing.", her tone of voice cut into your heart, she hadn't even bothered to turn around.

"Hey, you know I can't keep up with your stride, that's not fair."

She stopped on the stairs, in the corridor that led to where her group's table was, turning to you and you almost ran into her, taking a few steps back.

"Just don't!", her gaze on you was as hard as her voice, but the smile was wide open on her face, it was petrified there.

You stopped as you watched your girlfriend move on without looking back.

"I can really do whatever tomorrow morning, I don't care, I just need to get this sorted out as soon as possible."

"I just think it's too late for you to go there...", Soojin had some concern in her voice.

"Have you texted her yet?", Jiyoon asked, stretched out on the living room floor.

“How many do we have left?” You raised your head to look at Wonyoung before pointing to the stacks of books on the desk, earning a groan from the woman sitting on your bed.

“Why do we have so many?” She whined and slumped back onto the bed, making you giggle as you glanced back down at your paper.

You finished writing the final answers, closing the book shut and stretching your neck before leaning your head on your arm, watching your friend play with the stuffed bear, pulling out the loose ends as she procrastinated doing her homework.

You stared at Wonyoung for a while, the room was silent, though it wasn’t awkward. It was usually like this when she was over at your house, both of you doing your homework, or a couple hours of silence where you two would relax, listen to music, talk about nothing and everything.

She grew comfortable around you to the point where she would tell you all her problems and worries in her life. You became one of her bestfriends that she put close to her heart.

She values you a lot and learned to be comfortable with you helping her as well as being a safe place for her to keep her secrets.

Although at first, her members disliked you,

Not because of you as a person but because they feared their safety and privacy as an idol.

While you did understand their point, Wonyoung was frustrated with her unnies.

You understood them not trusting you, the world was getting crueler to people like them. So you did your best to prove yourself while Wonyoung only got upset at her unnies.

The time where you convinced them was when you started to drift apart from Wonyoung because she was beginning to hate on her unnies for not trusting you, so you had to take the bullet and started to ignore her.

Day after day you would start to spend less time with her, saying short replies like ‘I’m busy’ or ‘sorry something came up.’ Wonyoung was getting sad, she missed hanging out with you and whenever she approached you, you would suddenly turn or fake doing something to avoid talking to her.

When the girls noticed the maknae looking troubled, they confronted her.

Wonyoung told them what you were doing and at first they didn’t seem to care but when they saw how sad their maknae was they knew that she really cared for you.

So the next day Yujin and Minju approached you, asking why you were avoiding the girl, demanding a valid reason which made you explain to them your whole idea.

You wanted to be friends with Wonyoung, because she was a fun person to be with. You two had fun together and easily had conversations.

But you weren’t going to allow yourself to ruin her relationship with the people she was going to be with for a while when possibly, she could easily forget about you after a few weeks.

When Yujin and Minju heard that, they told their unnies, and suddenly they loved you.

The following day Yujin and Minju dragged you to an empty classroom, closing the door without another word.

You furrowed your eyebrows at their actions, trying to open the door and call for them, but they didn’t reply so you turned around, and to your surprise Wonyoung was there.

She was keeping her head down, fiddling with her hands before she raised her head, looking at you softly as she moved towards you, wrapping her arms around you silently and pushing her head to the crook of your neck as she pulled you closer.

You were startled at first but soon hugged her back, regretting your decisions about ignoring her for so many days.

The scent of her hair filling your nose and making you high with her presence because of being apart for so long. You two were best friends, but you both cared for each other a lot more than best friends. You wanted Wonyoung to take care of herself while she wanted you to be close to her and have fun together.

The shrill ringing of Wonyoung’s phone rang in your room, pulling you out of your memories as you raised your head to follow Wonyoung, who picked up her phone with a confused look on her face when she showed you who called her.

“Hello, Eunbi unnie?”

You furrowed your eyebrows and glanced at the clock, it was only 5 pm, you thought maybe she has practice.

“They’re calling you home?”

You mouthed earning a shrug from the latter,

“You want me to put you on speaker?”

You were confused when you heard that, shuffling closer to the bed as Wonyoung placed the phone where you two could hear. “Y/n? You’re there right?”

You hummed in reply still wondering why their leader would ask to put the phone on speaker.

“So the company gave us a break for the rest of the week, and we wanted to ask if it’s alright with you to have Wonyoung over, you could do your work and you could have some time together too,”

A smile bloomed on your face, glancing at the other who also had a growing smile on her face, “Of course, unnie, I wouldn’t mind having company.” You answered, both of you hitting each other silently.

“Great! We’ll text you when we pick her up, take care and have fun!”

When the call disconnected there was a moment of intense squealing, which would’ve alarmed the neighbours if you hadn’t controlled yourselves before you turned into giggling messes.

“We have the whole weekend to ourselves!” She shouted running around your room before she jumped and crashed onto the bed, her laugh ringing in your ears making you giggle until all the energy came down and both of you were breathing heavily.

A few minutes later Wonyoung sat up and looked at you, “What are we going to do now?” she asked and you sat up looking at her thinking of an idea until you thought of one

“Movie night?” You asked and Wonyoung smiled, her eyes flashing with excitement which made you laugh before standing up, throwing her a hoodie and an extra pair of clothes.

“Wash up, I’ll prepare some snacks so we can binge.”

She nodded and took your clothes in her hands rushing to the bathroom excitedly, when you heard the shower you left the room to your kitchen taking out some popcorn, chips, drinks, and set it up in the living room.

You rearranged the couch into a makeshift fort, using some extra blankets and pillows from your room, making it comfy for the both of you.

When Wonyoung came down, you internally cooed at the sight of her in your hoodie, even though you two were nearly the same height, she looked so small and cute wearing it.

You spread your arms and showed her your work, “Does it look good?” You asked and she smiled before rushing down the stairs and jumped onto the couch going under the blankets and reappearing, her face the only thing showing and you could die contented.

She was showing another side of herself which she does show publicly, but this wasn’t forced like they ask her to, this was all natural and you don’t think she notices herself doing it.

She felt so comfortable that she could do anything cute without noticing it.

“Go wash up so we can start!” She threw a pillow at you, pulling you out of your cute induced coma before you laughed, going upstairs to take a quick shower and joining your best friend.

Both of you cuddled on the couch, Wonyoung resting her head on your shoulder, and you rested your head on hers. It was comfortable because both of you did have these kinds of ‘dates’.

Most would be outside, cafe, library, park, and sometimes it would be home dates. Though both of you did specify that you were only friends, her members would think otherwise.

But people could think what they could. Both of you were still young and you had all the time in the world.

You could wait, sitting here with Wonyoung cuddling beside you, eating snacks and reacting to the movie you were watching. You were content because both of you didn’t rush into anything you would regret.

There was a lingering feeling but both of you didn’t mention it.

It was a problem for future you, for now you were enjoying the moment, pulling Wonyoung closer and feeling her warmth transfer to yours while she finished the chips and moved to wrap her arm around your waist, making you content with the butterflies fluttering in your stomach.

“You know we still have homework, right?”

first of all, i wanted to say i didn’t plan on writing something about the disbandment. the past few months have been incredibly rough on my mental state to the point where i feel as if i’ve lost all sense of self. shit has been so rough for me, their disbandment being confirmed made that even worse for me. however, i realized i need to learn how to be okay with like...being open about my own emotions in a time of uncertainty and writing them out helps me in a way even if a lot of those emotions i’d rather keep private. i’ve also been going thru a time where i’m currently reevaluating this past year and everything i’ve done/felt in the past few yrs (2.5 of those years being izone’s run), so i thought i’d write something about the disbandment and what iz*one means to me, esp during this point in my life. i’d write more about what led me to this point, but if i did, i’d end up writing a whole novel, so i’m just going to keep this as short as possible.

also if this is a jumbled mess, i’m sorry!!!!

since we’re here to talk about the inevitable, i just wanted to say that i’ve probably had a harder time accepting them being gone than i thought. i knew they were gonna disband eventually bc lol produce group, but also, knowing what happened with the voting scandal and the panasonic, it makes it even worse for me. i hate that they didn’t even bother to handle their disbandment in a way that wasn’t complete horseshit. i hate how the pandora screwed everything up. i hate how we didn’t even get a proper goodbye from the girls. i knew that this was going to happen, but i fucking hate how it all turned out. i can’t say i’m 100% happy with the ending and honestly, don’t think i’ll ever be able to fully accept that they’re no longer a group. 

that said, i’m not here to vent.

while i’m obviously upset that they’re gone, the fact that they were ever a group to begin with--i’ll forever be grateful. i avoided getting into them for the longest time because of my own trauma from being involved in the 48 fandom (smth i’ll talk about at a later time bc it’s a lot), but the moment i decided to watch their “up” performance and actually give them a chance beyond looping la vie en rose, that’s when i fell in love. i fell in love with the music. i fell in love with the visuals. i fell in love with the bond between the girls. most of all, i fell in love with the fact that during a weird transitional period in my 20s, i found a group that gave me the closure i needed in a time where it felt like the world was against me while also giving me the strength i need to move on. 

while we’re on that topic, let’s talk about kwon eunbi.

as you already know from my url, eunbi is obviously my bias. she’s the leader of the group, under the company my ult group, lovelyz, is also in, and THE absolute all-rounder. she’s extremely talented, super fucking funny, a babe of THE highest order, and the best single mom you could ever ask for. every time i watch a video of iz*one’s or look at any of their pics, i’m always in absolute awe of her. while i love all of the girls (j-line has a very special place in my heart bc of my time in 48 fandom) and do consider the entire group to be one full of bias wreckers, it’s eunbi that instantly caught my eye and the one i’m incredibly proud to call my ult.

“now, drea, why is it that you’re taking so much time with talking about how special this group and that girl are to you?” well, it’s mainly because that eunbi and i are the same age (both 95-liners, but i’m older by 2 months) that i’m so drawn to not only her, but the group as well. yeah, it’s normal to be drawn to members born in your birth year, but for me and esp in this case, it’s far more complex than it seems.

around the time i got into the group, i was (still am) going thru a quarter life crisis. i had just finished my a.a., was a few months away from turning 24, and had pretty much decided i was going to take an indefinite hiatus from twitter due to the amount of harm its done to my mental health over 10 years. i felt like shit knowing that so many people my age were living their lives, getting married, having kids, etc all that shit while i felt as if i was frozen in time and like i could never accomplish any of those things because according to society, my time was up. as a woman on the autism spectrum, i never felt like anything i did was enough and knowing that even after years of trauma, the feeling that if i don’t have my entire life sorted out by 24/25 scared the living shit out of me. knowing that a panini happened made those feelings even worse. 

i know it’s weird to like...feel so many emotions over this esp since 23-25 is young and starting your career out at that age is normal. that said, knowing how eunbi was already in a group prior to joining iz*one that ended up disbanding months after they debuted, the road she took to get to where she is now, and the fact that she’s 25/26 and will get so many chances to start over is what gives me hope after such a shit year. i can finally get to where i want to be, i’ll graduate from university, i’ll hopefully get a job that will earn me enough money to move out of my mom’s house, i’ll find love, etc who the fuck knows what’s going to happen? i hate that after years of hating myself and being afraid of getting older because people often have this mentality that you should abandon all sense of yourself once you hit your mid 20s, it’s taken me THIS long to actually start accepting myself for who i am and living my life for myself, but i’m excited to see where the fuck life takes me after years of self-hatred, trauma, and trying too hard to please ppl that don’t give a shit. seeing eunbi just have a fucking blast on stage, take care of her members, and overall be the amazing person she is gave me the strength i desperately needed to actually get to the path i want to be on as someone that’s a few years away from turning 30.

as i said earlier, i’m not ready to just outright accept iz*one being gone. i’ll probably spend the entire month of may just watching their content since there’s still a shitton of stuff i have yet to watch and i’m lowkey embarrassed that as a fan, i’m admitting this, but also: there’s no time limit. i can always watch that video at another time, i’ll like that pic later, etc. i wish iz*one was one of those things that had no time limit because i’ll always cherish them, but in the 2.5 years of their existance, i achieved some big things and survived a pandemic. i left twitter, got closure in chapters i needed closure in, finished my a.a., etc among many other things during that time and it’s partly because of iz*one that i’ve pushed myself to do all of those things. it’s hard esp since it’s easier to just write smth like this on tumblr than actually do it, but the girls and their music were part of the reason why 2020 wasn’t a complete dumpster fire for me. 

most of all, i wanted to write this because i wanted to shout-out the amazing folks at @izonetwork​. i joined super late in the game, but the convos i’ve had, the laughs we’ve had on discord/among us, etc i’ll never forget it. meeting all of you was one of THE highlights of an otherwise shitty year and i’ll always credit you as one of the reasons why i wasn’t completely emotionally distant during such a dark time. all of you keep me grounded and i’m forever grateful. super honored to call you guys my friends. <3

so yeah, thank you iz*one. thank you, eunbi, sakura, hyewon, yena, chaeyeon, chaewon, minju, nako, hitomi, yuri, yujin, and wonyoung. i don’t speak korean or japanese, but know i’m eternally grateful for all the joy, strength and bops you gave me in the past 2.5 years. i’m even more grateful for the friends i’ve met thru my own fandom of the group. i’m excited to see what every single one of you does next regardless of what it may be.

ngl I’m kinda sad bc a lot of y’all don’t like the song ;-; but I can’t do anything about it since it’s your opinion so

but I hope that people know the difference between hating and giving criticism saying the song sucks and that it’s trash music is straight up music

I can get why people are disappointed with the song since everyone wanted almost the same thing, “jennie getting a rap part”, “jisoo saying blackpink in your area” and a high note from rosé

personally I really like the song, to me it’s not the same as dddd and ktl tbh I think it’s different

nako, hitomi and sakura would most likely return to Japan, although I see sakura staying in korea to pursue an acting career and hitomi as a producer since she wrote some of izone’s songs

yuri might debut as a solo or debut in a new girl group as main vocalists, the same goes for chaewon

i see minju and hyewon going into acting careers and CF contracts, the same as kang mina, especially since minju is now an mc for music core

whereas for wonyoung and yujin, their both still young so I think they’ll finish school before re-debuting in groups plus yujin will be attending sopa

especially wonyoung, we all know that she’s actually really smart and is good at academics, i also think she might do modeling work, she fits the criteria

i also kinda see yujin pursuing an acting career because she will be in the theatre and film department in sopa. unless starship is going to debut a new girl group, I hope that yujin can debut as a soloist instead

Hmm personal likes and dislikes, I think I could work with that...hopefully.

Eunbi- I guess she’s the leader so anything that applies really because even before they elected a leader her members didn’t really need to vote. So Yena decided to play a prank and make her think Chaeyeon will be the leader. Because they all knew Eunbi was a great leader. Not only is she caring but she also is funny and she could handle embrassment if it means she could make her members brighten up.

Sakura- She’s also classified as Izone’s 3rd mom? She takes care of her members and tidies up for them. One time in Izone Chu the members left to do something and she stayed behind. The girls thought she would go and play on pc bang by herself but she tidied both of the dorms and even made custom shirts for the members which surprised them even more.

Hyewon- She is known to be the expressionless one by almost everybody. But she actually said, also in Izone Chu, that she doesn’t often express her feelings well. When they did secret friends they had a challenge where they had to touch the hearts of their chosen member and it was done by secret. She got Eunbi and in the end it showed a background of her trying her best to act sweet instead of saying words. But sadly Eunbi didn’t notice it. Hyewon is sweet and caring but she doesn’t show it like others would, she mostly wants it to show with her actions because she doesn’t really hate showing her feelings she just doesn’t know how to express it well.

Yena- Her personalities are pretty obvious she is playful, funny, loud, and is the happy virus for Izone. But of course she also shows just how much love she has for Izone. On every Izone Chu they’ve done (which I have watched all 4) they all include her being funny, playful, and teasing her members but there is always a recording of her saying how much she loves and cares for her members. That although she teases them a lot she just wants to make them smile. She mentions constanly during their concerts that she is happy to have a family like Izone and she hopes they can be together forever.

Chaeyeon- 2nd mom? She’s basically Eunbi but she can speak japanese. She cares for her members just as much as Eunbi and she is a very caring member. She does anything she can do to make the J-line feel comfortable. She helps them when they struggle to talk and generally helps then express what they want to feel. Like when she does it with Sakura. The two have been best friends since before they debuted because for Sakura, Chaeyeon is the person that helps her and makes her feel comfortable. And I’m sure all of the members feel that way. Because not only is she hard working and dedicated she also has time to bond with her members and have fun with them as a family. To give you an idea, when Sakura made it in to the debut she didn’t care about her rank, all she cared about was debuting with Chaeyeon.

Chaewon- I guess everybody doesn’t really notice Chaewon because she doesn’t stand out. And I totally disagree with that. She’s great she might not be much to others but for the rest of the people she is amazing. Her singing is great, she dances well, and she’s funny and caring. She’s unique in her own way and she also loves her members like they love her. They might argue a lot but she loves them. In an interview she did the directors asked her what she thought about Izone and her answer was the simplest yet most thoughtful thing I’ve heard, “They’re the best thing that happened to me”

Minju- She is the shy one but she makes her members laugh nonstop. She often gets teased by her members but she does her best to fight back in a funny way that will make her and the others laugh. I guess she doesn’t realize how good she is because she oftens gets worried about being embarassed. But she is perfect she’s inproved so much and her talents are getting recognized not just because of her pretty face. She wants to make her unnies proud and the rest so she tries to work hard for her group. And she is the one in izone to cry the fastest because she easily gets touched and its touching to see how she easily gets affected when the members get serious and caring around her.

Nako- Her personalities are a bit far away from the members since the cameras often show her always being cute and stuff so I still haven’t got to see much of her personality but from what I’ve seen she does her best to be a part of izone. And that she always doesn’t want to be recognized as a cutsy person but more of a foreigner who worked her way through a challenge to get where she is now.

Hitomi- I guess I could say her personality was described in The very first Izone Chu where she took her members to her hometown. She was so nervous about bringing them because she wanted her parents to love the members as much as she loved them so she tried her best to teach them what to say and what to do properly so she could make a good impression. She is generally a quiet girl but she also loves and cares for her unnies very much.

Yuri- well she’s basically considered the baby for her unnies. She loves clinging to them and showing how sweet she is. Often on Enozi cam she’s mentioning how she wants to go with her members to Busan to meet her parents. I know Minju and Hyewon want to go with her, Minju wanting to talk with Yuri’s mom in person and Hyewon because Yuri talked about bringing her along to Busan. And to me that’s the sweetest thing because intruducing your members to you parents is like showing them your second family. And for the members to have spoken with her mom multiple times means her mom really likes them. And like Hitomi I think she wants her second family to know her family.

Yujin- ( I actually found the video where you said Eunbi cried over something Eunbi said and I can send the link if you would like) and her playful attitude was always a given but most people forget she’s still technically a minor. Where keep in mind not only did she achieve her dreams and does what she loves she also often recieves a lot of hate which I don’t get why. Yujin is great she’s funny, cute, pretty, and great at dancing. I don’t see why people hate but I guess that’s just the world. And in the video she said that when they were over seas, Eunbi, for Yujinie’s birthday she got her Tteokbokki which is her fav food and said it was like tasting her mons cooking. And Yujin texted her about an interview she did where Eunbi said she was more introverted than she looks and she gets hurt when critism is shown and she’s timid and that being a leader with so many young members was hard and it might be hard to connect with them but she said she tries so hard to do it anyway. And they joke often so it was hard for her to say thank you so in the video she showed how much she is thankful for their leader which is super sweet.

Wonyoung- The maknae is a little hard to say because people’s attitude change overtime and Wonyoung is still a baby because like Yujin she’s really young so being in this industry is hard. But she shows how much she wants to be there because she works hard. She ignores the bad comments and continues on. It’s a little sad on why a lot of people think she’s not worthy of being the center and even an izone member but she really shows how much she works hard and loves beingg with her unnies. In their first concert she said that her family was there, she apologized for not being around often and promised to be with them more even with her job. And she said that she was doing great with her members and that they’re treating her well. Because its so hard being away from your family at that age and I’m glad the members not only say how much they love Wonyoung but they also share it in their lives and shows. They make it a mission for her to experience the things that what a normal teen would where critism and hate weren’t a thing and they care for the maknae so much even though they constantly tease her. They love her to death and I don’t think anything can beat that.

Hm I hope this somewhat answers what you want. Tho likes and dislikes aren’t much here I hope you enjoy reading this. And some of it might be longer than some but I don’t really have much to work with since all they have is some vlive moments and tvshows since a lot of people brush off izone so here i guess.

I might be bias about some others but I tried to keep it to a neutral where you can still learn about the other girls

You can also see Sakura and Hyewon taking pictures together, with Sakura kissing Hyewon's lips. But the one that caught your eyes the most, is how Eunbi is acting like a baby towards Chaeyeon; a sight no fan, or even managers aside from you, has ever know of. You're kinda amused seeing a strong leader in front of the camera, wanting to be dragged by Chaeyeon as she hug the younger one so tightly, really acting like a baby. You see Chaeyeon stopped on their tracks, she's saying something to Eunbi. The leader let go of the hug after Chaeyeon talked then went to put her head down for you don't know what reason. Chaeyeon then chuckles, pats her girlfriend's head, and held her chin up to give her a long romantic kiss. Yes, these are the girls' dirty little secrets that only you are permitted to see.

You're done with your final rounds for tonight. It's technically not a "tonight" because it's already 2am but the girls are still alive and hyper. Produce 48 Final [Reaction]

So, it is 2: 30 am ( Sept 01 - 02, 2018), right now and I’m typing as i just finished watching the English sub of the last episode of Produce 48. I have watched every season, every episode, every youtube video, and just about everything. The show fascinates me, encourages and there’s always pain at the end.

this is probably the most gutted season for me. 

In the picture (dated July 08 made), I took a screenshot of the trainees that I wanted to debut sadly only 6 of them made it.

There are so many thoughts running through my mind right now like what ifs and I just want to list them down.

1. what if lee gaeun became the center of Nekkoya instead of Sakura would she have made it to the Top 12?

2. If Mnet didn’t show much of Jo Yuri’s singing skills and showed more Haeyoon’s, would the producers fall in love with her more and voted for her as the main vocal?

3. If Heo Yunjin didn’t try to become the center for the position evaluation from Nako, would’ve she made it too?

4. If Takeuchi Miyu gave up the main vocal role during the final evaluation and wouldn’t be portrayed as someone selfish and had just given her role to Haeyoon (who can reach the  high note) then the producers would have think that she is selfless (which she had been doing for the whole season btw). I think if she became selfish in the beginning and showed more of vocal, producers would have voted.

5. If Kang Hye Won did not move Chowon’s role during the picking of final evaluation position, would Chowon made it or her? I thought she was Chowon’s friend because of being in the same group Boombayah, but moving her to a vocal position with only 1 line? 

6. If Chowon and Kang Hye Won didn’t become part of the boombayah, would they have gotten the nation’s pity?

7. if Lee Sian, tried hard during the Side to Side performance as she was center, would she have been fan pick favorite by then? You see lots of people took notice of her after the premiere of Ep 11 last friday but the funny thing was the next day of the that episode was the elimination. So the national producers did not have enough time to see the wonderful beautiful meme that she is.

8. If the top 12 from previous rankings, like Lee Gaeun and Chaeyeon picked and did not group with other high ranking members would they be ranked higher or be part of the Top 12?

9. Kwon Eunbi was smart and deserving. She put in the leader role cos she’s natural at it. and she knows IZONE needs a leader.

Only 3 Japanese got in and 9 Koreans, like what in the world? I thought they were aiming for “GLOBAL” girl group. I could have agreed if they put in 2 more Japanese members. I guess they, huh? Maybe they are too needed for AKB48.

Miru should have been part of the Top 12 too since she got lots of recognition in each evaluation and won it individually. That’s what you call charisma, capturing everyone’s gaze and hearts even tho not in the center position.

Leee Gaeun should have been part of the Top 12. But I guess, Mnet and her company saw the potential of her and Heo Yunjin being in a duo or somewhat since she didn’t make it to the Top 20.

In the beginning, i liked Ahn Yujin since she was relatable and funny. But on the second ranking announcement, her insincerity showed through her speech because she got sad ranking at 4th in front of the eliminated trainees. like wtf. I thought she didn’t deserve to be in the Top 12 since she takes care of her image so much. She knows she can get nation’s producers through her winning smile and funny attitude. But her facial expressions are bland and her eyes are just weird.

I  don’t like Jo Yuri too. I can see MNET likes her since they showed most of her good side. I think Jang gyuri is a better vocalist. But the best vocalist for me for IZONE is Haeyoon. I guess from the very beginning, she was picked to be the main vocal.

i don’t see anything special about Lee Chaewon. I think the only reason why she got in is because during the early on the episode they showed the  top 4 candidates for top 12 and her fans panicked and wushed away to voting.

It’s a pity that the center is Jang Wonyoung, since she’s too young. All I can see in her is pretty and good facial expression. So what happens if a broadcast go past 10 or 11 pm or something? Don’t they disallow underage idols to continue to perform? So, it was kinda useless. Sakura should have been center. 

It’s understandable why Takeuchi Miyu didn’t make it. She didn’t make much impact during Produce 48 except for the audition episode. She let others shine and forgot that this is an individual competition. I guess all trainees are hesitant since they don’t know what how Mnet would edit the scenes that would ruin their images

I’m happy Lee Chaeyeon got to debut. I’ve been watching her since her Sixteen days. Miho was a pity. I’ll only stand for Eunbi, Sakura and Lee Chaeyeon.
