Hey, you guys know the headcanon that Jason still has an autopsy scar?

Consider a moment in a dp dc crossover where Danny was vivisected by someone and has his own Y scar and the batfam, or at least Jason, know at this point that he's a halfa.

Ignoring the angst part, I'd like to imagine Danny seeing Jason's scar for the first time and eventually working up the nerve to ask about it. Jason says it's not a pleasant reminder (that he's died before) and would rather not talk about it. This leads into Danny accidentally hinting at having the same scar on himself (from the vivisection) and Jason just tells him he doesn't need to explain, that Jason gets it and if Danny wants to talk about it/talk about the feelings regarding it, Jason will always lend an ear, no problem.

And Danny is overwhelmed because he never had anyone to talk about it with before; he didn't want to worry his friends/make them feel bad for taking so long to rescue him and Jason speaks bluntly like, all the time, so if he says he'll always lend an ear and it's no problem? Danny just straight up starts bawling.

So they have their little bonding moment and Danny promises to talk with Jason about it eventually. And he does! He absolutely does. There are vague phone calls and overall lots of talk about feelings in the moment. Jason doesn't entirely relate with Danny's feelings sometimes, but he chalks it up to them being different people, Danny being half-ghost, not actually knowing how Danny died, etc etc

(Other times Jason can relate far far too well. Sometimes he relates so much he has to ask Danny to give him time to prevent or manage a panic attack. Sometimes he has to ask for a topic change or to cut the call short, even on his best days. It's frustrating.)

One hot summer day, the batfam decide to have a pool day and they invite Danny to come hang out.

Danny shows up, realizes pool day means going to the pool in their backyard, and has a grand old time. None of the batfam mention his scar, assuming it's like Jason's, and he doesn't mention their scars either.

It's snack time, everybody's got watermelon slices curtosy of Alfred and Danny and Jason are lounging by the pool.

Everything's great.

Someone mentions how Danny is kinda like a mini-Jason because they're both slouched against their chairs and eating in massive bites and spitting their watermelon seeds into the fire pit nearby.

Jason flips them off and Danny says "thanks, it's the vivisection scar"

And everyone goes silent.

Then they're all yelling, "THE WHAT?!"

Cue the batfam realizing very quickly that despite being pretty good at communication sometimes, they definitely dropped the ball here.

"Kid- Danny." Jason lowered his tone, something a bit more similar to the voice he used for traumatized kids. "You were vivisected?"

Danny raised an eyebrow. "Uh, yeah. So were you." He jabbed a thumb towards Jason's chest. "That's how you got that scar."

"This is my autopsy scar."

Danny blinked. "Oh." He blinked again, harder this time. He took in a shaky breath. "So, all that stuff you said before was a lie?"

Jason baulked. "No! No, absolutely not. All of it was true, I just thought..."

"You thought it was about my death?"

Jason nodded. "Danny, if I knew, I would've told you exactly what this scar was from immediately. I promise this wasn't a bat thing."

Danny took several deep breaths. "Okay.... Okay."

And then uhhh, big talk with lots of feelings and Danny ends up being given a very nice hug from Jason and becomes trapped in his arms/lap for a while like a teddy bear.

As he's falling asleep, Danny mentions having gotten his scar almost six months ago and Jason goes a little feral because he knows that Danny's been dead for well over a year and goddamnit he thought the vivisection was what caused Danny to become a halfa. But now that all the emotions have been dealt with and Danny's nearly asleep, he's reminded of the person who gave Danny his scar rising to the top of his hit list. Or beat-within-an-inch-of-their-life list, if he has to play by bat rules.

When he side eyed Bruce and saw his thunderous gaze with a cracked glass of lemonade in his hand, however, Jason thought he might have more leeway than usual.

Hmm this is good question in my head summer looks so good ahh but I've never really had a sent for it cuz the past few years I've been in my room but I love the sun oh and you know when your about to go in the pool and you can smell the Clorox mixed with the sun block and that smell just smells like a soft nice energy and there is this one tropical sent havent really smelt it in years I remember the one time I got to smell it was in middle school in the girls locker room so ig it was a perfume idk if it was really associated with summer or it was just tropical perfume my mom could spray on anytime of the year

Lol none I hated p.e I was also pretty tall at the time so people expected me to play but I just wanted to hide in the corner

Well I don't really like breakfast that much I think food in the morning makes me nauseous but I have to eat it cuz I can't eat school lunch food cuz that shit is nasty but breakfast school food is 😉 so I usually get banana bread and good ass duch chocolate milk

1. hoodies are good for when you dont have a bra on and they come with one BIG pocket and you dont need to worry about a shirt

Leather jackets are for cool kidz and carry a nice vibe and still thick enough to keep you warm , but you can't really get them wet I think so you can't wash em , but they can come with cool designs on the back but their better fitted on perfectly on a person and if you grow they just look odd on you then you have to buy another and that's not fun

being eaten alive inside out by plants is like my number one phobia ever since i was a kid and my mum said if you swallow watermelon seeds they grow in your stomach and you die she kinda had a philosophy of lying to scare kids into obedience and not giving a shit about the consequences :P

oh man now im remembering that one clip i saw from some movie i dont even know, where a guy drank an immortality potion and it actually turned him into a tree and he was like trying to tug out the branches growing from his stomach til he bled og christ who would even script something so fucked up

OH GOD and that one episode of torchwood where the evil fairies were slowly brainwashing this human girl into joining them and they killed all her family by making rose petals grow in their stomachs til they choked and Jack had a flashback of surviving an attack like that cos of his immortality, he was serving in the army once and his whole troop were dead from the rose petal vomiting disease and he just woke up walking through miles upon miles of dead people while choking on the petals unable to die and then the ending was him being so scared due to that memory that he makes the wrong choice, and choosing to give the kid away to the fairies in order to stop them from killing more people and the kid was so far gone that she was happy with this, and laughing at seeing her dad dead on the floor and it was really morally confusing too cos he was an abusive father who actually deserved it, but the fairies still indiscriminately tree death’d a bunch of innocent people too. like anyone who even slightly annoyed the kid was killed. you won in a baseball game, its totally fine if we murder you. and the kid was just so brainwashed into thinking the fairies were the only people who loved her and that this was all okay, and her non-abusive mum was abusive too because she asked her to obey the rules sometimes and stuff it was so fucked up to see the kid just laughing and running away and NOT EVEN MISSINg her mum that loved her, just because she committed the sin of not noticing the dad was being abusive and like.. this poor kid missed the chance to escape him and have an actual future with her mum and like even if theyd saved her fromn the fairies her mind was already so far gone that she never could have lived that normal life they’d turned her into exactly the sort of selfish perversion of childish innocence that her abusive father perpetrated towards her... and our hero is the one who let this kid be stolen away, and it wasnt even an evil act, just a flaw of a scared man

i was really kinda depressed as a kid that this episode is NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN and we never get any sort of character development from jack’s arc here... i mean you had an episode of people dying from plants growing in their flesh yet that WASNT THE SCARIEST PART my actual phobia and you scared me more from the identity loss thing! thats quality writing! why just abandon all the potential plot threads in a downer ending and then never mentioned again... I have a feeling that that episode was some sort of leftover from a pilot of another series that never got made. Cos seriously they had to make such a lame excuse of the fairies being aliens somehow so it’d fit in continuity :P felt more like a great pilot to a show about evil fairies, yo i would have watched the hell out of that even if every episode traumatized me just as much, just in the hope that eventually there’d be some continuity and an actual resolution to that kid’s story... seriously why just fuckin end with ‘yep her brain is gone and she’s happy to fuckin die forever and become a creepy slenderman fairy, and our hero caused it to happen through his incompetance and cowardice THE END’ THE END why god why did that post have to remind me of this, i took so long to stop having nightmares about it
