finally heard back from the specialist it's going to be over a month for my appointment 🥲
#they're probably just going to confirm my diagnosis 😭#then make me schedule another appointment for treatment#also make me find a primary care and start looking for an underlying cause#ughhhh#i dont want to wait four months to even atart treatment for this scary condition....el oh el....#now i get to spend the next month all anxious abt this appointment#hopefully they can confirm the problem and prescribe treatment at the same appointment#but they might want to dind the underlying cause first 😣#and who knows how long that will take#this has been a shitpost#trauma dump#illness tw#disabled tag#ugh i don't want to go blind 😬#literally what job could i even do#im already so bad at everything#i have no real skills and my degree is in design 😭#my plan is to do an office job until i have kids then run a daycare from home so i can actually be home and raise my kid while still working#not sure many people would trust a blind person to watch their kids#not saying blind people aren't perfectly capable of safely taking care of children i just think it would be a risky business model#given stigma and how protective people are of their kids they wouldn't want any potential safety risk#idk maybe i could still do it if i had a sighted business partner to make parents feel comfortable tho#anyway im way ahead of myself here but the future is scary 😭#don't reblog
