I posted my Mirage design once and was immediately so embarrassed that I didn’t draw him for 3 years, so time to rectify that.
#I wanted to focus harder on him being a mechanical creature#so that meant so much time figuring out his vehicle mode which you don’t even get to see.#I genuinely never registered he’s supposed to be a formula 1 car so I got to dip my toes into that for a bit to figure out his alt form#i ended up switch him to a Red Bull Racing RB18 just because I perfered it’s aerodynamic curves#the other benefit was really emphasizing that he’s a fairly small and very light bot#for reference the RB18 weighs 1760 lbs and is about 200 inches long#in bot form your average human comes up to his knee#which I think adds a dimension to his avoidance of dirrect conflict- most bots could literally just chuck him#I tried to emphasize that by including the hollow arms of the Henkei! Henkei! Mirage toy he’s mostly based on#god sorry I have a lot of thoughts about this boy#my art#tf mirage
