Thinking about Izzy (shocker, I know) and how he’s paralleled with Mary and her line of ‘I don’t hate our lives! At least no so much as to want to [change them so drastically and potentially dangerously while uprooting our kids lives as well]!’ and how she was unhappy too but was putting in the effort to make things work as best she could while Stede just didn’t try.

Thinking of how unhappy Izzy must have been in this life that he had no choice to live in while still putting in the effort while Ed didn’t try because he hated his life and wanted to drastically and potentially dangerously change it leaving Izzy and his crew high and dry.

Thinking of how Stede and Mary reconciled after Mary’s attempted murder and their subsequent talk and how they get to be friends now (Stede’s fake death notwithstanding, they could work around that) and they actually let themselves care about each other despite the hurt they’ve caused each other.

Thinking of what the future looks like for Ed and Izzy, where they can be friends and care about each other despite the hurt they’ve caused each other.
