Hi, I'm glad you enjoy the posts. I've created many strategies to find fat positive content on this website since, sadly, fat representation is very difficult to find.

The easiest strategy is to search popular fat positive tags, like "fatshion" or "fat positive." However, most people don't tag fat representation, and many fat-related tags are overrun by thinspo blogs, fat fetishists, and fatphobes.

Sometimes I search "plus size" and another word to try to find specific posts. For example, I queued posts with a Valentine's Day theme for Valentine's Day. One of the strategies I used for that was to search "plus size pink," "plus size red," "plus size lovecore," "plus size valentines day," etc. I have to get creative like this when trying to find content of specific groups of fat people. As another example, when I want to find content for fat Asian people, I may search "plus size hanfu," "plus size jfashion," "Vietnamese fatshion," and any combination of words involving fatness and usually either a specific cultural clothing or country. If I just use normal search terms, I likely won't find anything.

Sometimes I look at popular tags like "artists on tumblr" and scroll through hundreds of posts to find a single drawing of a fat person. Usually said drawing didn't use any tags for the fat representation. This strategy is extremely based on luck and will involve spending way more time before seeing any posts of fat people, but this is one of the few ways to find posts of fat representation that weren't tagged with words related to fatness. What I would give just to get people to tag their posts of fat representation, you have no idea. Even if no one else started drawing fat people, there would be a mountain of more fat positive posts to reblog if those posts were simply tagged in a way to make them possible for fat positive blogs to find.

Some tags are more likely to include fat people, like tags for Mermay. Fat people are barely represented, but some artists are willing to be slightly inclusive when drawing mermaids. The likelihood of size inclusivity also goes up with events like Mermay since some of the artists who participate will draw a different mermaid design for every day of the month. It's hard to not draw a single fat mermaid design when a person is drawing 31 mermaids.

When I find an old fat positive or fatshion blog, I'll usually comb through the entire blog for posts. Not only do I find posts that way, but I also usually find other blogs with posts I can also queue. This ends up with me going through a chain of old blogs and why you'll see us post content that was made anywhere from 5 to a whopping 12 years ago. I usually keep at least one post from each of these blogs in my queue at all times to remind me to continue searching the blogs for fat positive content. I've had some posts in the queue of Fatphobia Busters for two years because I keep them as reminders for what blogs I need to search. For every post we share, I try to thoroughly look through the blog of the op for any other scraps of fat positivity I can queue. This is another reason why some posts stay in the queue for months or years. Since fat representation on this website is abysmal, I usually only put posts at the front of the queue that were either made by blogs I've already combed, blogs that still have posts in the queue so I can search those blogs a different day, or if the post was queued by Mod Squirrel. I don't have a lot of energy to search blogs, which is why those posts stay in the queue for so long. That's also why you may notice certain blogs being posted a lot for a period of time—they're blogs I'm safe to post without missing any content I could have queued.

Tumblr has a pretty terrible search function, and I've basically never been recommended a blog by Tumblr that actually posted fat representation. However, the one helpful function Tumblr has actually been good at is the similar posts section called "More like this," which looks like this on desktop:

It's to the right of whatever post you look at on a blog. On mobile, it looks like this:

I looked at the same post for both of these screenshots. In the "More like this" (or "More posts like this") section, Tumblr will usually include other posts by the user, posts by other blogs who interact with the user, posts with similar tags, etc. etc. For whatever reason, I'll sometimes be able to use this Tumblr function to find more fat representation. As an example, Tumblr showed me the same grayscale drawing of a fat person in both of these screenshots. That drawing was posted by an entirely different blog and with no tags related to fatness or fat positivity at all, but the "More like this" Tumblr function is the only time that Tumblr realizes "Oh, for the past five years of running and modding for fat positive blogs, you've actually wanted to see posts of fat people and not all of the posts of thin people I've suggested to you all this time?"

Sometimes I'll try my luck with certain fandoms when I know the media the fandom is for actually has a fat character or if I know that the fandom is somewhat size inclusive. There are times where an artist who draws the media's fat character also has fat OCs or draws other fat people. For instance, I'll probably have more luck finding artists who draw fat people in the Magnus Archives fandom than I will in a fandom for a media that's very fatphobic or pretends thinness is an art style, like Hazbin Hotel.

If I find a fat person who posts selfies or photography of themself, I'll look at their tags to try to decipher what tags they use for posting those photos. They may have a specific tag just for their photos, like "my face," or they may tag all of their photos with a tag like "ootd," "melanin," "cosplay," "black girl magic," "lolita," "jfashion," etc. It's also important to make sure not to share any posts that have tags like "do not reblog." If a post has the tag "personal," I'll usually either skip it or ask the user if they're okay with the post being reblogged. This is especially important for text posts about fatphobia since sometimes a person just wanted to vent and doesn't want their post to be shared. Whenever I'm in doubt, I write a reply on the post and ask the op if they're okay with me reblogging it.

On some occasions, I'll see the url or tags of someone on our posts that makes me think they may have more fat positive content. When that is the case, I'll queue posts that a follower made. Said posts are usually selfies or text posts. Sometimes this means queuing a post they made about a specific product they sell on Etsy that otherwise isn't accessible for fat people, or this could mean queueing a well-written rant that they've okayed for people to reblog.

That's basically the gist of most of my strategies I can think of. You can see that running and modding for fat positive blogs involves a lot of work and strategizing just to find content. But you can help make it easier. If you:

Tag your posts of fat representation with fat positive tags

Send posts you find of fat people to fat positive blogs

Tell artists who draw fat people to tag their art with fat positive tags

Ask artists who only draw thin people to make their art size inclusive

Make posts about fatphobia and tag those posts with tags like "fatphobia" to make them searchable

Or even just reblog posts from fat positive blogs to help spread them and encourage those OPs to keep representing fat people

By doing those things, you help us a lot and also help more fat people see themselves in the media they look at.

If you do tag your posts for this purpose, I strongly suggest using more than just tags like "body positivity." That tag on Tumblr is full of mostly porn, thin people, and celebrations of weight loss, so I've given up on looking at that tag at all and would assume many other fat positive blogs don't use that tag either.

Steve Harrington and the Witchy GF

So I mentioned witchy GF for Steve here and I got an overwhelmingly positive response via messages and a few asks and comments as well. 

So here's kinda what I'm thinking. 

Maybe witchy GF is a friend of kawaii/lovecore GF's from back home. 

Cause you know, she's the new kid. 

And maybe like, she's the best friend actually and so it was so fucking hard when kawaii gf had to leave. 

And maybe witchy GF just thought, fuck it, might as well trade one small town for another. 

So she fucking does.  Just up and moves to Hawkins.  

Maybe it takes her a while to get there because you know, she was still a senior and trying to save up. 

But eventually, she gets enough together and just thinks, fuck it, I'll figure it out. 

And maybe she shows up in the parking lot one day.  

And Goth GF is over there being shy over Billy even though the little simp has been dating him for a year. 

And Kawaii GF is making Eddie blush because there's no hope for him when it comes to him.   I mean, kawaii already landed him and yet she still flirts with him RELENTLESSLY.  Poor boy's heart will probably explode one of these days. 

And so anyway maybe witchy GF pulls up on a motorcycle. 

And it's all black and gold and glistening in the light. 

And maybe she gets off the bike, black and gold celestial boots hitting the pavement.  

And she lets loose the long swishy skirt (That she tied up to keep it from being a problem while driving).  

And maybe she's got a black leather jacket with gold stars on the sleeves and pins on the front. 

And maybe she takes off her helmet to fix the purple wrap around her head.  She adjust the little black and gold decorative band around it because you know, this is a new place and new people and she veils to protect her energy. 

And maybe she slips the giant gold hoops back in her ears, the glittery gold of her nail polish glinting in the light. 

And maybe her eyes that are done up in sparkling gold shadow and ornate black liner search the parking lot. 

And she spots a familiar flash of pink and red and glitter and hearts. 

And so she whistles a tune that she knows will get her attention. 

And kawaii GF immediately stops teasing her boyfriend and slowly pivots around. 

And she's just standing there, staring across the parking lot trying to decide if she's had a stroke or if that witch bitch fine piece of ass is really her best friend from home. 

And then Kawaii gf is off in a dead run, launching herself when she gets a few feet from witch girl who laughs and catches her. 

Fingers tattooed with symbols and runes pat the head of the excitable kawaii gf.  

A gold lip ring glints in the light as she smiles, her red lips stretching in happiness. 

And then kawaii gf has grasped her inked fingers and is all but yanking witchy girl across the parking lot. 

She's screaming.  Screaming. 

At the top of her lungs. 

"Babe! Babe! Come meet the love of my life!" 

To which Eddie is slightly offended of course. 

And she all but flings the girl at the group of people. 

Goth GF is, of course, flustered because god damn where do all these hot girls keep coming from? 

Billy is amused by this if not a little territorial… again. 

Poor Eddie is still trying to recover from having a person flung at him and also trying to process the fact that kawaii GF is telling him that witchy girl was her first EVERYTHING. 

And apparently she has no shame in it even if witchy girl looks a little embarassed to have had their business put out there like that. 

And beside Billy's Camaro is Steve, leaned up against his own car.

It was less about looking cool and more about the fact that fact that if he didn't he was fairly certain his knees would buckle. 

And he's glad he has sunglasses on because his eyes are blown wide. 

But apparently, his mouth that had fallen open was a little obvious because Robin, always ready to dig at him, pops him under the chin. 

"Close your mouth, Dingus.  You'll catch flies."

Hey, loves! So I hope you liked the intro to witchy gf.  She's part witchy part biker because I think Steve secretly needs a girl like that.  Tbh.  Also, by the way… I have literally created the actual characters for Goth GF, Kawaii GF and Witchy GF with names, descriptions, backgrounds and everything.  I would love to share them with you and also maybe just do a trifecta story with the ladies and their gents.  AND I actually made one for Robin too… with a gremlincore/goblincore GF.   So there's that.  But idk if you want to see that so I haven't mentioned it before.

Dreamcrush: the coining post of the word and the aesthetic

WARNING: Mentions of dereality

If you've been on my blog for a while, you'll notice that I use a peculiar word: "dreamcrush". But in my one-and-a-half months of using tumblr, I've never defined what it is.

Dreamcrush: A crush that you know can't be reciprocated, due to being fictional, a celebrity, etc.

Though anyone who's fictosexual, fictoromantic etc. can use the term as it encompasses f/os, this term is more broad in mind. Case in point, my current dreamcrush: Jimmy Page. Not only is he a celebrity, but I'm also exclusively crushing on his young self (between the '60s and 1975). Of course, most of my dreamcrushes have been fictional.

The real point of the term comes from my MaDD experience. Most if not all of my dreamcrushes have been paras in my daydreams, in one way or another. I had the term in my mind before I even knew what a "para" was. As such, it came from "a crush, but they only exist in your (day)dreams".

This term isn't exclusive to romantic or sexual attraction, however! Aspec people can use "dreamsquish" or other equivalent terms based off their type of attraction. They can also use the original term if they're comfortable with it.

Recently, I've also thought of an aesthetic for it:

The Aesthetic

I use two tags for this word rn: #dreamcrush for posting about my dreamcrush(es, if there's a shift) and having a dreamcrush, and #dreamcrush-aes for the aesthetic in my mind. I may change it to #dreamcrushcore if it gets more popular, but it'll have the aes tag for now.

Now you'll be wondering: why don't the posts under the #dreamcrush-aes tag match that much with each other? There are hearts and it's romantic, but also weirdcore and unsettling glitches? What do they have to with each other?

I can't really find that many crossover pictures (or i'm not searching hard enough, idk). But I'm trying to cobble together something that resembles the explanation below:

This aesthetic is an offshoot of lovecore, with a focus on unrequited love, fantasy and escapism. The usual aspects of lovecore are still here: hearts, yearning, dates, gestures of love...

There's a heavy influence of MaDD, and its symptoms and effects, be they negative or positive.

The "dream" aspect could be interpreted in any way! I personally use dreamcore as a near synonym for weirdcore (because dreams get really weird at night). However, the "ethereal/dreamy" aesthetic and the more coherent parts of "surreal" dreamcore are the other main influences on the dreamcrush aesthetic.

Hazy filters and low quality/compressed images may feature at times to enhance the "daydream" aspect.

Despite the alluring fantasy, there's still a looming feeling that none of this will ever be real. As such, glitches are common to this aesthetic. They represent the reality calling from afar, how disruptive it may be to a maladaptive daydreamer, and the impossibility of the relationship.

There are usually two types of glitches in this aesthetic: datamoshes to represent repeating or changing daydream scenes, and the more usual neon glitches for the blurring between reality and the paracosm.

The glitches are usually less in-your-face than in glitchcore (and some other weirdcore-adjacent aesthetics) due to the nature of MaDD. This is my interpretation, though.

Music-wise, I think one of the songs that best exemplify this aesthetic is the Sewerslvt remix of Hi High by LOONA. The original song is all about innocent love, with cheesy metaphors. While it had dreamy elements, Jvnko took it up to eleven and into the realm of surreality. It'll definitely be in the dreamcrush themed playlist I'm curating.

Sorry if this got rambly at parts: it's probably me not knowing how to articulate some things (adhd+esl). Regardless, feel free to ask me anything about this aesthetic!

Gonna annotate about Leon’s entire character to y’all because he’s so so good, and every time I see someone say he’s a bad character for crushing on a man who doesn’t like him back i’m >:(

An archer born in a Zofian town. His manner of speech and conduct are unmistakably similar to a young lady's. He grew up care-free thanks to his parents and their laid-back environment. He was often teased for his effeminately good looks, and he always responded with a test of skill--which he would win, improving his reflexes. He joined the army to search for someone he could devote his heart to. When Valbar decided to accompany Celica, he naturally tagged along, and provided much assistance during the journey. He has a frank personality, saying what's on his mind; he's also the type of person who wears his heart on his sleeve. After the war, he became a merchant and it's said he lived a free and happy life.

The area of Zofia do follow Mila who is known as the goddess of love so considering how Leon is sappy and having the title “True of Heart”, Leon would totally be into lovecore aesthetic.

He may act feminine, use female gendered words in other languages, and would call himself a maiden, but as far as everything else he’s crude and mean and doesn’t hold back on filtering himself even if he’s talking to a kid.

Leon left home when he was young, so considering how this game series does have a thing of making 15 year old kiddies soldiers I’m guessing he left home at around that age.

To ‘wear your heart on your sleeve’ means to be honest and openly show your feelings or emotions. He’s painfully honest and drop hints he’s not straight.

"...Blerg. I don't like sea travel, and it sure doesn't like me. I'm nauseous, I'm sunburned, and I'm wind-beaten. I look like death's damp leftovers. But YOU look fresh as a daisy, Priestess! What's your secret? ...What? Nothing? NOTHING?! But you look like a dew-dappled angel! Augh, that's so annoying... Well, youth is great and all, but don't expect it to last."

There’s that painful honesty.

He sure does focus on his looks. He’s 24, smh Leon don’t think that you’re not gonna last past 30.

"Great. We finally get off that infernal boat, and now it’s the desert. Are you doing this on purpose, Priestess? Is it personal? *sigh* I want to get out of here before I dry up like a mummy. If I turn hideous and Valbar abandons me, it’s your fault. …What did you say? …Valbar isn’t the sort to judge people by their appearance? You think I don’t realize that? I know him FAR better than you! Gods, it really throws me when you’re so rational and correct…"

Still trying hard to get noticed by Valbar.

I like how he’s saying this particular line to a 17 year old, like chill, dude. Be nice.

"When I was a kid, there was this guy that I was head over heels for. He’s the reason I enlisted, actually. Just so I could stay close to him. He died in the first battle we fought. I cried so hard, I thought my eyes were going to float clean out of my skull. Valbar saved me from that. Every time he saw me, he’d take the time to say something. Cheer me up. What can you do with a man like that but fall in love? You’re thinking I’m a tramp, aren’t you? Well, I’m not. It’s hardly my fault that the world is full of wonderful, lovable people. Such a thing really motivates one to get out there and save it."

He made a big decision to leave home and enlist to follow a guy.. Now that he fell in love with Valbar he’s doing anything to follow him, too. I guess what’s different is it had been an unrequited love, even when it was suggested that Valbar knew about it it remained as a crush. Leon loves him at a distance so then he wouldn’t get badly hurt as he once had.

Him saying he’s not a “tramp” is a bit of info I like because people tend to wanna characterize effeminate gay characters as being touchy and wanting to peek at lotsa guys (which isn’t bad but there’s more than one type of guy), but not Leon, he’s more of a yearning for a soul mate kinda guy. He’s not big on lots of physical touch unless he really likes ya. "Hey, hey, now. No more of that." “I'm a friendly fellow, but not the touchy-feely type. All right?"

talking to Valbar “Heh heh. But it's fine. Emotions come in many forms, and as you say, there's no point in hanging on. I'm still glad I have these feelings, and nothing will change that.”

A crush is totally different than being in a relationship so like... I don’t like it when people say he’s a bad character for it. It totally happens to like someone but they don’t swing that way. In Leon’s case he keeps the crush because it feels safer and sappy to have it. Even if he tries his darnest to let Valbar get the hint he Loves loves him, when nothing happens he just accepts that.

talking to Valbar “Just realizing I've been a fool for feeling sorry for myself. Compared to what you've gone through, my worries are nothing.”

Despite the ol’ “keeping his heart on his sleeve” thing Leon has a knack of keeping negative feelings to himself. Probably the type who wouldn’t admit it because it doesn’t feel as big of a deal compared to other’s. This guy needs a hug so bad.

Kamui: “Oh, you're a laugh riot. But anyway, what do you think makes a good man?”

Leon: “Hmm. That's not easily summed up in a few words, but... for starters, he should be kind, strong and mature... while maintaining a boyish innocence. He also needs to listen, but be ready to tell the hard truths when necessary.”

Kamui: “Oh, come on. No one's that perfect.”

Some people take their conversations as being odd or random information or just to express again on how Leon’s gay but I wanna turn more attention on Kamui’s motive for asking in the first place. For someone who tries to not make people take him as gay, and explicitly so in the manga, he sure do wanna know what Leon’s type is if he’s got his eyes on Valbar.

Kamui is kinda right that no one could be perfect but Leon had been describing Valbar, when like,, they’re not even in a relationship… Leon honey… don’t hurt yourself like this. This leads to their next conversation;

Kamui: It's about… what you said before. So what would you do if Valbar ended up being.. the opposite of your ideal?

Leon: Well, that's an absurd question. But in the interest of humoring you and passing the time... Well, I suppose I'd set off looking for a man who met my perfect ideal. A journey like that might actually be kind of... fun.

Kamui: I think that's the first time you and I have agreed on anything.

Kamui could probably tell that Valbar isn’t ever going to return the kind of love Leon wants, and tries to learn what Leon’s thoughts are about that. Because even if he says he doesn’t care much about anything he seems to care about Leon. On the battlefield given his specific quotes for Leon and in these conversations. Kamui tells how his luck went south ever since joining in this journey and he’s only sticking around for the money, but that job he was paid for was done a long time ago at his recruitment quest. So he seems to hang around anyway for his sense of completion on things it seems.

The word ‘journey’ is like music to Kamui’s ears considering his history. It would be a fun writing idea actually of them traveling across Valm picking guys to speed date, well, like in the manga lmaooo but wider ranged.

This would be the first time Leon speaks nicely to Kamui instead of being standoffish and harsh. Kamui sounded really relieved for that. Then when Leon says he doesn’t like him that way Kamui instantly tries to back track lol

"Hello, Kiran! I've prepared some tea. Would you care to join me? I must admit, I was anxious when you first summoned me here. Ugh, don't laugh—it's rude! I may not look worried, but I have my fair share of concern, same as anyone else. Anyway, you've proven yourself more than capable, so I suppose I don't mind sticking around. To be honest, I am eager to return home... But that can wait, I think... Care for another cup?"

He says this when level 40 in FEH. So by this point he’s well acquainted with the player. Him admitted that negative feeling is once again that thing he has of keeping feels in to not seem it’s a big issue. And him wanting to go back home…. boohoo..

(If Valbar lives) Welcomed into the One Kingdom's Brotherhood of Knights, Leon remained at Valbar's side until an injury ended his fighting career. He then took up work as a merchant in the city market, where he lived free, happy, and dauntlessly true to himself to the last.

He better keep that good happy ending 👊

(If Valbar dies) Dealt a grievous blow by Valbar's death, Leon disappeared for a time before returning to join the One Kingdom's Brotherhood of Knights. There, he fought with the strength of a hundred men, and later served as an instructor to new recruits, contributing greatly to the order.

It’s messed up to think of Leon losing someone he loves again….. He should not go through all that again… Where did he disappear to.. Did he turn himself from twink to a bear to take the place of what would’ve been Valbar’s job if he lived (since Valbar ending would’ve been him becoming the instructor)

Favorite instrument: Just establishing right here and now that the cello and electric bass are the best instruments ever made, though tbh I do really like basses, they're underappreciated but absolutely crucial to actually making music work 🙌 also I really like the versatility of pianos (I am looking DIRECTLY at franz lizst transcribing everything for piano, the paganini etudes, beethoven's symphonies, just. all of that) and have to give a point to the violin just bc it's such a technically demanding instrument and it looks WILD if you're actually good at it (which I am not U_U)

Aesthetic: I have a lovecore tag so that speaks for itself, there's just something about the wild exaggerated expression of affection that just entrances me, which is especially funny since I'm aro lmao, also I love slapping hearts on everything ❤ I also love anything spacey 🌟

I probably have enough going on that I qualify as having visual snow syndrome but the big thing is that my vision has what looks like a layer of fine grain static over it, it's ignorable for the most part but gets super prominent in the dark or if I look at something that's mostly one color. Also I literally didn't think to question this until last year bc I just live like this and it's never been a problem so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m feeling silly.

So I had a convo at work in which I was telling my work buddies how Bang was the cryptid of energy drinks (will explain upon request). I was explaining how weird the flavors were, and one of my co-workers, who has not had experience working with Bang, mentioned how he just refers to Gatorade and Powerade flavors by their color. To which those of us familiar with Bang laughed because IF YOU TRY TO DO THAT WITH BANG, YOU WILL END UP WITH ABSOLUTE HELL

Therefore, for the sake of not knowing when to end a joke, I am going to compile the flavors of Bang* here by can and name them based on their color palette

Random: I'm trying to find comfort in femininity again. I tend to avoid anything that's feminine bc it will make me look like a girl, but I realize you can be feminine and nonbinary, and nb ppl can look anyway and be valid. So I'm gonna wear crop tops and skirts and earrings and paint my nails bc I like it. At the same time as I don't have to do anything that I don't want to! So I won't shave or wear make up anymore cause that's my decision to make.
