(longtime loveless fan here) yeah i think i remember reading her publishers are the ones who push her to give it a kind of Weird Vibe but anyway think the text in canon is decently strong towards their relationship (whatever it may be) being mostly condemned by canon. there are even like a lot of hints that soubi isn't doing the things he's doing entirely out of his own free will and might be being manipulated by seimei (into Being Weird about ritsuka), esp. on rereads. not saying she'll 1/2

2/2 stick the landing though, where loveless is going is anyone's guess.  it's my all time favourite manga but it does explore some very VERY dark subject matter and i wouldn't expect a lot of people to be able to stomach it if they weren't like. braindead fujoshi (loveless is very good but its fandom on the whole had historically been vile about shipping ritsuka with soubi, though this was before modern fandom.  i actually hoarded sourits url years ago to keep it from being used for evil)            

its been a while since i read i feel like i should have a reread ghhdfg, a lot of it i guess was me wondering whether the author really meant it one way or another bcos the fandom at the time was Definitely taking it a different way,, OH that does remind me though ive had a look, the more recent chapters have been moving to a stylistic change that im personally not fond of so that also put me off continuing tbh
