1. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge: it's as old as me and still running in a theatre after all these years. it's literally that movie. the biggest reason he's called the king of romance and there wasn't even a kissing scene in this. hasn't aged. beautiful soundtrack. and the infamous mustard field

2. My Name is Khan: 14th feb 2010, 3pm show in a single screen theatre and i had the time of my life watching my first srk movie in "talkies". i was so happy i was gonna cry finally in a theatre and wept i did. he was so fucking good in this kajol's comeback directed by karan johar. lots of tears. and some more. 9/11 background but it's a love story still. he should have won the national award and that jury will end up in hell someday :)

3. Veer-Zaara: romeo and juliet's tragedy is nothing compared to veer-zaara's. the songs the music the acting the actors the director the writer everything was just so good. a lot of people don't know this but eye acting was actually invented by shah rukh khan

4. Dil to Pagal Hai: a musical about a musical the soundtrack slayyyyed then it slayyyys now. underrated on current tumblr but i think i am starting to prefer that because DTPH is mine. i never had a crush on shahrukh but if any character of his ever came close it was from this movie. one of his sexiest characters imo. did i mention the songs were way too good.

5. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham: shahrukh really cries like children do. who knew weeping can have range. great songs great cast. kajol in orange. srk in see-through shirts. it's actually a family drama but it's fun also his mother in the movie has a superpower.

6. Om Shanti Om: no bollywood movie has ever bollywooded the way OSO did. love friendship reincarnation hero heroine villain nepotism revenge action comedy great music (and one more thing but that's a huge spoiler) it really just had everything. one of the finest masala movies ever made. it's tumblr's favourite as it should be. also this movie is how i learnt san francisco rhymes with disco

7. Baazigar: the directors were having trouble finding the lead actor because nobody wanted to take the risk then srk told the producer that nobody can play this role as good as he can and he became the first actor in the history of filmfare to win the best actor award after playing a negative role. a cult classic.

8. Darr: it's the 90s it's the hero heroine villain era when the audiences think the people who play villains are bad people irl and dislike them. sunny deol an already established "hero" is the hero of the movie and srk is the villain a scary stalker and what happened was that the audiences really loved him instead. (my sister got scared of him enough that she started crying in the theatre and my parents had to leave mid-movie a wuss). something that couldn't have been achieved by just anyone except the future king of bollywood. oh lots of switzerland. also the legendary director of the movie kinda adopted srk and started casting him in every movie of his afterwards.

9. Fan: about an obsessed fan (not me just tbc). underrated af.

11. Main Hoon Na: a cool srk entry. action comedy friendships a whole college adopting a grown up as their big bro beautiful sarees the best dressed character who then got a make-over 🥲 (the only one flaw of the movie) a villain (which was getting rare in the 2000s) the best ending credits ever and whatnot. it was farah khan's directorial debut and she brought fun back to bollywood with her bestie <3

Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa: i was younger than 4 srk wasn't my favourite "hero" yet but his character from this movie was my first blorbo. my murderous rage awakened for him. the first character i ever related to was also from this movie. gangster uncle 🤜🏾🤛🏾 me. srk was so baby (he was like 28) there was also ra ra rasputin in this. srk loves this movie so do i.

this is probably the most relaxing evening you ever had in your entire existence. you felt the most safe at home with abby. you had no problem dropping everything to be with abby at home, doing the most mundane things known to mankind. some of your friends would even say you and abby are in yall the "boring couple era" however, the way you would rephrase it would be, "quality time". you didn't mind doing things that might feel boring to others with abby like watching TV, reading together on the couch, or even doing a puzzle on a friday night rather than going out to a club. it didn't matter what. just along you were being touched by her presence. and you know, when the time comes she will be there to cater to your social needs. always.

you were feeling like a gooey pile of mush. it didn't matter how many times you re-watch 10 things i hate about you it seems like that movie had the undertone superpower to make you feel like your heart has been broken into a million pieces - and the craziest thing is that they are fictional characters. astonishing. you were so hypnotized by the movie that abby's words fell deafly onto your ears. with a small touch from abby, you peeled your eyes away from kat and patrick. looking at the sight of your beautiful girlfriend, the small colored freckles scattered all around the bridge of her nose. The best feature you loved was her nose and her watercolor eyes. the way her eyes would create this type of expression was only found in the imitation of the wild ocean water. you adored how blue they were under the shining light and how dark they would become in the shadows. "hm?" you blinked a couple of times, staying still upon her sight. 

the pads of her fingers slowly and lightly stroke the peak of your shoulder. you moved in closer, head tilting in the process. "you okay abs?" you spoke softly. the guilt-ridden expression painted on abby's face, her chest heaved . "I feel bad" Abby's hand immediately went to the back of her neck while lowering her head. "oh baby" you cooed. the palms of your hands reaching the warmth of her cheeks, lifting her face to make her look at you." why? My love" god. if y'all couldn't get any closer. you moved from the soft cushion onto abby's lap. you draped your arm around her neck while your fingers found the shell of her ear; playing with it to soothe her overwhelming nerves.

"imma stop you right there, abs" Your lips drew this amused smile, her warm plumped lips being covered by your hand. her eyes flickered down to your hand and quickly back up to your orbs whilst her eyebrow frowned a bit -- giving the impression she was gonna whimper a bit. however, the hand that played with the ruffles of your satin shorts never stopped. 

"When I first met you I knew we were the total opposite. I knew that I was more extroverted than you are. which is okay. I didn't let your social awkwardness or your introverted ways stop me from dating and loving you" you reassured. your eyes soften, you love abby with all your heart and when you love someone, you love them whole. 

Your hand vibrated against abby's moving lips for a mintue or two. "I agree" you let out a small laugh. you both forgot your hand was taking up space on her face. she removed your hand from her mouth and into her own and as if it was a daily routine between her and you, she intertwined her calloused finger in between yours. "I enjoy my solitude, but ever since I met you I enjoy it even more when you're in it" abby whispered the small confession, god. there are not enough words in the universe to express the amount of love you harbored in your heart for them.

I really do" You were lost for words, you love it when abby expressed these types of thoughts she had for you. abby heart swelled with pride at being your girlfriend because she never met someone capable of understanding her in a way she thought only she would. you are her soulmate. In a quick small vision, abby had imagined you in this most beautiful wedding dress known to man and with your ring finger decorated with the most expensive ring ever. 

you notice abby was deep into thought so you nudged her slightly, "penny for your thoughts?"

A/N: Pssssttt… i have a little excerpt from a fic i’ve been working on and planning out with my bestie 🫣 I’ve proofread the best i could but there could still be some mistakes! I hope you enjoy <3 This is Hobie and the reader’s meet cute!!

You hated everything about this store. Maybe you would’ve liked it if the previous owners weren’t forced to hand the place over to the bank because of bankruptcy. The old store had a sense of home and community, opening its arms for every and any type of person who entered its doors. But this— this was ridiculous.

Practically every surface was reflective while the expensive ass price tags taunted your empty pockets. Everything about this place was uninviting. Just like the greeter who refused to acknowledge your presence.

You walked past the greeter and seethed, “Hello to you too.”

His face soured and it was exactly the reason why you wouldn’t feel bad about taking what you needed.

There weren't many people who looked like you here, despite this place being smackdab in the middle of your area. Large ads with white-filled propaganda filled your vision as you walked past different aisles. Each one peered at you with uncaring eyes as they preached a message for a world that didn't involve you in it. The memo that 'you don't belong here' threatened to overwhelm your mind. The stares from the white employees and the white patrons drilled holes into the back of your head.

You were always told to stand strong even when you had to stand alone, but no one warned you of how hard it would be. You could feel your face burn and your hands grow damp under the fabric of your gloves.

The next thing you knew, your lead-filled legs turned you into a random aisle. You released a heavy breath and tried to will your heart to slow down. Gracefully raising your gaze from the floor, you were met with one other person and surrounded by different candies. Though, you were completely taken aback at the sight of the person in the aisle.

He was tall— like, really tall and his wicks only added to his height. They were thick and long, well taken care of too. It made you wonder how long he'd had them— your eyes trailed down to the sticker covered guitar that hung from a thick strap from across his shoulder. It seemed well loved, although it appeared it could use some new strings and a few pegs to get it into peak shape— you were sure you had a few pegs at home— No. No. No, you were not going to go down that hole—

The guy suddenly turned his head to look over his shoulder at you and you were met with an electric pair of amber eyes. The appraisal he gave you made you stand up straight as the two of you came to the same realization. He gave you an acknowledging nod and you gave him one in return. It was enough to set you back on your tracks and make your steps lighter as you eagerly searched for you and Riri's favorite candies.

You weren't alone. You weren't the only black punk going through this oppressive world.

You plucked a bag of candy you hadn't heard of before while mentally racking your list of things to grab. Behind you, there were a pair of footsteps that passed you until they stopped beside you. You craned your neck to look up at the guy from before, opening your mouth to ask him what he needed before he interrupted you by jutting out his chin in the direction of the end of the aisle. You moved your gaze to follow where he was gesturing and immediately understood.

An older white employee was restocking a shelf and not-so-inconspicuously watching you two from the corner of her eye. She had turned to fixing the same item on the shelf to keep an eye on you.

Then, you were introduced to a strong British accent as the guy beside you leaned in close to your ear. "Wouldn't recommend takin' anythin' just yet." His voice was low as it rumbled from his chest.

You looked back at him and gave him another once over. He had strong features accentuated by his piercings and adorned studded accessories on his neck, arm, and wrist. But his vest was a sight to behold— "Me? Stealin'? I would never." You feigned innocence. He let out an amused chuckle, letting you know he didn't believe a word you said. You watched as his eyes flicked down to your hands that were still clutching the candy bag. His brows raised in interest.

"Those say 'fuck off', mate?"

It took you a few seconds to realize he was talking about your gloves. You subconsciously ran a hand over the stitching, before a small grin spread across your lips. "Damn right they do. Gotta make sure these pigs know exactly what I mean." You took a split second to do a sweep over his lanky form; from the top of his wicks to the bottom of his blue-laced boots. You tilted your head. “Seems like you showed them pigs who’s boss,” you said, motioning towards his boots.

“Damn right.” He mocked your previous phrasing with a smug grin before looking over your shoulder to the lady who was observing you. “I have a proposition for ya, wanna hear it?”

You shrugged. “Depends on what it is.” You couldn’t exactly do what you had intended on doing, but that didn’t mean you would be down to do anything, especially if the proposition came from a complete stranger.

A mischievous glint entered the man’s eyes and his voice took a conspiratory turn. “Between you ‘n me, who do you think Peepin’ Tammy is more likely to follow?” His eyes lingered over the spot where your eyes were and you could feel the intensity of it even while hiding behind your hair.

You sighed. “Most likely, you.” At the end of the day, you both were black but he was extremely tall and you had forgone your spiked accessories, something he definitely didn’t do. If it came down to you or him, you weren’t even an option.

He gave you a pleased grin and pointed a finger at you. “Exactly. So I’ll get her off your ass while you handle your business, ya get me?” he offered. “All I ask is you get me this, yeah?” He held up a bag of off-brand candy.

Your agreement fell from your lips easily as you grabbed the bag from his hands. “Deal.” A thrilled laugh left you as you imagined taking advantage of the woman following you two. “Get her ass,” you whispered encouragement as you danced around him to go the opposite direction.

His two finger salute to you was the last thing you saw before kleptomania flooded your veins.

Now, you knew how this looked. You were doing exactly what the woman had expected of you— stealing what you could fit into your bag. Food that you would never be able to afford on this side of town and tv dinners were snatched from shelves and freezers. It didn’t bring joy to you (a solid half-truth) to do things that were expected of people who looked like you, but you adapted and overcame.

You did things that needed to be done, even if it came at the expense of your reputation.

Ha, like you gave a shit.

With a full bag and a half-light heart, you navigated the store to find your partner in crime. It was easy enough, you ended up locating him in an aisle filled with propaganda-filled magazines. He had one in his hands that had Spider-Punk on the cover and he read it with obvious distaste.

Near him, Peepin’ Tammy was fixing a stack of books that didn’t need fixing.

As if sensing you, he lifted his gaze and gave you a questioning thumbs up. You returned the gesture with a confirming nod and a thumbs up. You looked at the magazine in his hands.

“You don’t like him or somethin’?” you asked. He gave you a noncommittal hum before tossing the magazine back into the display, much to Tammy’s chagrin.

“Jus’ don’t like what they’re sayin’ about him is all.” He blew air out of his mouth. “They couldn’t have picked a different label, hm? Damn PM calls him a ‘spider punk’ once and that’s his entire character? Come out of it.”

His passion for the name surprised you. You picked up the magazine and observed the blurry photo of Spider-Punk on the cover. “Yeah, I mean, he’s a spider dude and he’s punk. It fits. And he’s also fucking Ozzy over, y’know, in a ‘hah this spider punk is kicking your ass and inspiring others to fight back’ way. Taking the name and slapping the old man with it.”

Your partner-in-crime looked you over before giving you a laugh. “That’s one way to put it.”

You grinned at him, tossing the magazine over your shoulder. “Okay, I’m ready to go.”

The mischievous glint from before returned to his eyes. “Then what’re we waitin’ for?”

With a sudden resolve, the two of you turned to face Tammy, who startled at the sight of your guy’s undivided attention. You locked eyes with your partner then looked back at Tammy.

Then, the two of you spun on your heels and ran out of the store.

I just wanted to come on here and thank both you and @thescarlettvvitch IMMENSELY. I struggle and have struggled for what feels like my entire life, with depression, anxiety, and the list goes on and on… But, Just Pretend means so much to me. It has been my saving grace for the last few months. It’s my safe place and the amount of times that I have gone back and reread the entire thing from start to it’s current chapter, or have even gone back just to reread my favorite chapters and favorite bits, is more then all 10 fingers and toes combined lol. Music has always been something that I turned too and would submerge myself in to take me away from it all and block out all the overbearing things surrounding my brain. But lately, Just Pretend is now what I reach for when I need a place to escape to drown out the noise. Although, it’s Angel and Noah’s world, in a sense, I feel like it’s also my world too. It’s my safe place and I know that if things are feeling a little too overwhelming, I can always open the tumblr app and can count on Noah & Angel to clear my head for a bit, or for hours on end. I cannot put into words or express my gratitude enough to either of you to measure up to how much Just Pretend has helped me through these last few weeks. I absolutely meant it when I said that both of you could be writing novels that sell out and are hard to keep stocked on the book shelves every week at all the book stores. The way you both are able to write these stories and fully encapsulate all the emotions and every single character, no matter how big or small their role in the story is, is absolutely astonishing. I just wanted to leave this in your inbox because I know you both have posted about how this week has been a bit rough for the both of you. But just know, that your work has saved people and granted them happiness and a sense of purpose when they needed it the most. I will always be here to continue coming back to read Just Pretend and drown myself out in Mochi, Angel, and fruit basket citrus sock smearing Jesse’s world. First off, I want to say you’re not alone. I also suffer from anxiety and depression. It’s not easy. Some days(like this past week) are really hard. So to hear that Just Pretend helps you through yours makes me fall to my knees. I’m so so glad our story can be a positive outlook on life when the darkness seems to pull you under.

My work saved people? Our silly little story about Noah Sebastian saved people? I’m just at a loss for words because we NEVER thought it would be like this. In the best way possible. You guys say it all the time that Just Pretend is the best Noah fic on here but I still don’t believe it. We just thought it would be something fun to do together. We never imagined it would turn into something so magical and life saving.

I truly believe this is what Noah meant in the Rock Sound interview. Bad Omens has brought together so many different people with different backgrounds and who are going through their own struggles and find peace in the things Bad Omens created and what others create for/ because of Bad Omens.

With all the negativity Bad Omens is getting right now, I would love to show them this. Tell them that this is what their music is doing to/for their fans and the people that support them through and through.

But then again, I truly hope Noah never finds this story 😂

So i just finished reading that ask about Harry as a wizard-cop, and i totally needed to read that. Like two days ago a friend told me she stopped reading HP when she found out that Harry wanted to be a cop (yeah she's dramatic like that, i love her). We talked about it a bit, and, like i always say to my friends "Yeah, JKR sucks, but fanfiction is awesome!" . And i remember mentioning castles to her, and one part that i can't find right now, it was very short, and it was harry working as part of the crowd-control team of people manifesting (is that how you say it?), he was in disguise i think (was that in castles? man! i read a lot of things at the same time and get confused ). And THAT was when the "WOW he's a cop" really sunk in, because, well i've been on the other side of that hittin-stick when i was a teenager (what's the name of that stick? you know, the stick that cops use to hit people) and well, i sort of wanted to burn all of my HP books after that (i didn't of course🫣).

Anyway i don't think i've ever read a canon compliant fic that adressed Harry's carreer choice the way you do, which i find sooo interesting and necessary. I have (i hope) grown up a bit since a was 16, and talked to a few cops (yeah teenage me is 😲), and some of them really start working in the police because they genuinely want to help. I didn't know what to say, because that's the same person who hits teenagers manifesting for more founds to public schooling, but also rescued a friend's mom from a violent relationship, which is, you know, a really good thing. I devoured those parts, when you describe this internal moral fight Harry has and the way he also grows up, from wanting to be an auror to "catch the bad guys", like a videogame, to facing all these dilemmas with it being a part of a goverment, with laws, regulations and obligations. Pffffff can you imagine dear Harry James following all those RULESSS?

so, yes, that is in castles! it's chapter 11 after Kingsley's Ministry grants are handed out, thanks to the Blair loan:

Officially (and, for what it’s worth, even knowing his own feelings towards Kingsley, Harry honestly believes him on that one), most of the recovery grants were distributed to a selection of wizarding businesses deemed to have suffered the largest losses during the war. Applications were submitted in the month that followed the passing of the bill and the list of successful applications was compiled by Ministry staff on the basis of a complex matrix including the difference between pre-war and post-war turnovers, expenses incurred to repair the sometimes extensive damages suffered within the premises, the viability of their recovery plans, etc. It all sounded good - at least on paper. In actual fact, this thorough assessment led to an overwhelming number of grants being awarded to businesses owned by people generally known to have been on Kingsley and the Order’s so-called “side,” during the war. 

The moment the allocation decisions were made public, a wave of disgruntled Knockturn Alley shop owners found their way into the many offices of different press outlets across the country, soon expressing their innumerable grievances, and less-than-favourable opinions of the current government which, according to them, was operating under unconscionable biases. At the Burrow, this strategy enraged George (and, in her correspondence, Ginny, who’d spent hours with he and Ron going over Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes’ accounting and writing their application) who slammed The Prophet against the kitchen table and expressed what sounded like a rather fair point: ‘Their bloody shops weren’t torched, were they?’ 

In response to this latest wave of criticism, the Head of Kingsley’s new Money Matters Department, Bernardus Dee-Poquets, gave a rather unfortunate interview on Radio 5, attempting to ‘give more context’ on the decisions made. Instead of smoothing things over, this position only further enraged the opposition, prompting a spontaneous protest to take place in Knockturn Alley with placards that read: WE DON’T NEED CONTEXT WE NEED GALLEONS! He and the other Aurors were soon called in for ‘crowd control,’ an idea that began sounding terrible as soon as they were asked to put on their riot gear. On the way there, Robards added fuel to the fire by making it abundantly clear to whoever was willing to listen that this ‘peacekeeping’ operation had been forced upon him by the Head of the DMLE and was neither his choice, nor his idea, which in turn meant that no one in the Auror ranks actually wanted to go in. and, like, yeah, it's funny, but it's also - not, you know? i think i want this moment to sound like a "fun" anecdote but i think it also feeds into what i was saying in the original post, about the post-war low-level "crime" that feels somewhat endemic and unsolvable. here, of course, it's knockturn alley shop owners, which i suppose we all don't have much sympathy for, but perhaps, we should? the thing about the post-war wizarding economy is that it's full of petty crime and black market stuff and disgruntled demonstrations - because these people have spent years trying to survive and make a living under the hold of an authoritative government, and now not only is democracy not really bringing in money, but it's also preventing them from operating the way they used to. and even if it's nothing at scale, i think the endlessness of it kind of wears down your morale, as a ministry employee.

as you very rightly say, i think most people who join police forces aren't horrible people. like, sure, a percentage of them just wants to beat people up and get paid to do it, but that's not the majority. i think for the most part, there's a lot of big-eyed kids like harry who just want to "save" people. and then, you get called in to these ops and you start realising that "crowd control" is a scam and that putting people in jail is a bit pointless when what is being held against them is just trying to survive and feeding their families. and, of course, there's also multiple aspects to this, because they also sometimes do intervene in stuff that is useful like domestics and stuff (although, there's this whole thing about how police often doesn't believe women, but that's a whole different debate). so, i think, with harry's "early" time at the ministry, i wanted to show the different layers to that.

and, it's funny cause i expected to get a lot of angry comments about harry becoming a hit wizard because of the sort of violence that is associated with those kinds of departments, but i actually didn't. i think the above is sort of the reason why he joins though. it's like: he wants to save people, and that's what they do. their operations are big enough, it's never petty crime, they have a lead (hawk) who knows what he's doing and who can make difficult decisions, and they get in, intervene, and get out. it's not about fighting disgruntled shop owners, you know? or pointless trafficking of magical objects. and, it’s also not detective-like investigative work which, frankly, i don’t think he has much patience or focus for. especially, feeling kind of like a nameless cog in the investigative machine. to me, the hit wizards was the only way to make auror!harry work within the "reality" of what the police force is.

Honestly yeah, I hated that they were spoiling their own movie in sm ways. Trailers always gotta ruin it and so true with the killer. I liked him enough I guess but so much of it didn’t make sense. (plus scream six already gave us a similar reveal earlier this year so i was even less surprised) YESSS ugh they’re making more Zombies movies and I’m happy yet a little sad cause they aren’t that good, and while Zed was my introduction to Milo back in 2016/2017 (w/e the movie released), the quality just sucks and I can’t bear to get through the movie. Milo has pipes tho and I’m glad he gets to show them off by singing🤭 Flynn could work but yeah he seems older-ish in animation and they would likely go with someone who has thicker facial/body hair and more “masculine” fitting (No offense, Milo‼️ You’re perfect the way you are sksjsk) I think Josh did it for self-gratification because he was rich and liked putting on the act that he didn’t want to associate himself with his money and actually help people, but it’s all an act to attract girls (and guys)

I can see him having a toothy smile on his face because of it, so happy that someone is just accepting him for who he is, even in such a simple way like cuddling. You’re not asking him to be anything more than what he is, just embracing all of it for all of its flaws and mistakes. He’d be more than happy to just be with you intimately, feel your heartbeat and have you imagine his (if he’s a ghost)

Thank god someone does… he had them out almost every episode and it was distracting from the plot😩 I woudlve shown them more but the pool scene is enough. Say less. Yeah I didn’t love that they tried to push it as the movie went on because Bobby is so… (the name Bobby is bad in general, so i think that says enough) And yessss i love seeing the differences between the two characters because Milo’s range is evident due to playing both. Ryan brings a lotttt to the table that Wally doesn’t (but in a good way)

Yeah being a writer is such a time consuming thing but it’s so worth it because making content that is lacking for certain characters (like Wally/Ryan/any of Milo’s other characters) and allows us to be self indulgent😮‍💨 and keep sending requests because the more to pick from is the best thing everrr

In which I should have read this more carefully 🤣 I saw it was about WIPs and didn’t realise it was so fic focused. I guess I could answer this two ways. I could convert it to art which is fandom, or I could vague talk my original novels. Maybe both? 🤔

1) 🦈Tell us the name of your/ one of your WIP(s)

Hmm well I don’t want to share the name of my original novel 🫣 I know I probably should but I get afraid about it. I sort of put up a division between “personal fan me” and “career me”. Not that I have a career (yet) but I can dream.

As for art well that doesn’t have names exactly, and also I don’t have WIPs in the same way. I have a list of ideas and I tend to take one, and finish it, rather than juggle several projects like I did fanfic.

I am currently signed up to the Librarians Exchange and I will be making something for that. I probably shouldn’t talk about that though because of the whole ‘secret’ gifter thing.

I would like to pick one idea off the list and say “I’ll do that next” and talk about it but truthfully what I am hoping to do is practice basic techniques. I spoke about this earlier with my frustration at being stuck with the ‘tracing’ and wanting to do it properly. I don’t know if I will be able to ‘teach myself’ to any level so that I can use it for the exchange. I mean I have had literal years to do so and not got anywhere with it so far 🤷‍♂️ I got a new sketchbook (because clearly the half dozen I already had weren’t enough) but maybe this time I will commit. I got some erasable coloured pencils and sketching in purple seems very fun so 🤞

7) 🖍Post Any sentence from your wip

As said I can’t really do this. I wish I had some kind of sketch to show, but again as I said art “WIPs” are more just ideas unless I am mid-project and I’m not right now.

11) 🛠Is there a scene or anything in the WIP you are struggling with right now?

For my original novel quite a lot of things 😂 but description is usually the hardest part. I can see it in my head but it’s so clunky when I try and write it down. Way too much frowning or smiling going on lol. I am trying to use more body language and less dialogue tags but I need to find more variety in it.

For the art it’s like I said I have my current process of bashing together a bunch of different references. Sometimes this includes selfies when I am struggling to get limb angles to match what’s in my imagination, but it just doesn’t work. It’s a) botched together so a lot of the angles are just slightly off/mismatched and it is unnatural and b) so stiff with no flow/life. It has zero style.

10) 🤡How many Wips are you actively working on?

Well I am actively drafting one original novel. I have benched the redraft I am 1/4 of the way through, the first draft I need to reboot, the first draft I am only about 70% finished with, and the first draft I only wrote a bit of (I think that covers them 🤔). But really it’s just the one for “actively working on”.

For art… well I can’t lose sight of the gift exchange. I’m wondering if I should pick up ‘Sketch a Day’ again. I definitely want to do the 100 heads challenge. I got a copy of the Loomis Method book (heads and hands) and I think I should go through that. Same with Hamptons book (figure drawing). I was doing some screenshot redraws from “What If?” as I adore that art style. I can’t seem to pick a medium (paint, pencils, markers, ink) and so there’s so many options for rendering practice. It’s a bit overwhelming to be honest all of everything I want to work on.

So I’ve made it my mission to spread some of my love and appreciation to all my favorite writers (which you are one of clearly) for the work u put in creating stories that make me very happy. I literally have a list full of names, that sounds crazy, but I promise it’s nothing weird I’m just trying to keep track 🫠😅

Before I get into my mission, I have to say something else. I think it’s really fucking terrible of people to steal writers work and then go around and trying to manipulate the writer to believe they actually stole first like the audacity to gaslight wtf. I’ve seen one too many times that an incredible writer gets their hard work just copied and there’s so little you can do about that and then the people who steal are so fucking mean. I get it writing is hard and sometimes you look at other peoples stuff to see how they write to get creative juices flowing but you don’t just straight up copy it I mean, I would ask for writing advice or idk, anything but plagiarism….there’s so many people who love that writers work and they will notice when that writing shows up somewhere else and then you have a lot of people on your ass rightfully so for stealing. And now that I’ve actually started to write something myself, I feel like I can understand it a little more because if I just try to imagine that somebody would take this story and try to sell it as their own when it is literally my story like actually my story, this is my life experience written in a story and you’re trying to sell that as your own, I would go ballistic I would, I would be very mad. Let’s just say that. 💀

I am pretty sure I found my way here because somebody else (I don’t remember who anymore🫣) rb your story “by the grit of Sandpaper” and it absolutely peaked my interest. I mean basically anything with Joel Miller peaks my interest, but you know. 😉💛 Sadly though I did not get around to reading it yet. I’ve kind of also been putting it off because I want to read it and then immediately let u know what I think. If the memory is still fresh, then my thoughts are much better articulated if that makes sense. Here’s the thing I’m trying to write my own first story and simultaneously i have a lot on my other list of stuff that I really want to read or reread and it’s a little overwhelming, but I’m trying to work my way through that and let me tell you when I get to your stories you will definitely see me scream in a very loving way for sure. 😅💛

I think you’ll probably see me scream even before that because one of my other mission is to engage more and be more mindful of the fact that there are people writing the stuff that I love, so please know that you should never feel pressured or forced to get a chapter or story out as quick as possible. I will wait however much time it takes because in the end, it’s absolutely worth it.

Ok one last thing (this is already so long I’m sorry 🥺) I know everyone on here is literally a person like me and everyone is just writing their silly little stories but I look up to so many and it feels like interacting with a celebrity, I hope that doesn’t sound weird. Okay, so, Plu (Off) has been raised by his grandparents, as his parents are dead, or so I understood. I hope they'll tackle his issue, but we are yet to see. Mai is the older brother, as far as I understood, his father remarried Phukao's (Ohm) mother, and I'm guessing here that his mother is dead also. So I understand why he's so emo and does drugs. What I do not yet understand why he was selling drugs, I feel there's a motive there and if I'm correct it'll be connected with his father's business. His relationship with Phukao is honestly heart-wrenching, because he was literally willing to give his life for his little brother, which I am now suspecting may be the case.

Bruv, I literally asked who the fuck brings a child to a morgue ??? Also, the police comes and they take their children ?? Logic where, bruv ?? How stupid do you have to be to do that. Jesus fuck.

Basically the grandmother was the one helping out Plu (older brother) with his emotions and family issues. So, her having dementia is extremely ironic, as it seems that she was the one holding the entirety of the family group. I also believe she was the only person who knew about their relationship. Which is also a problematic topic that needs to be tackled, as she was his teacher in school. (Idk about age gaps, since I date 10 years younger people usually 🫣)

When the kid cried I honestly felt my heart swell. It was so good. The girl who played young Kongkwan was also so so good, especially in that kindergarten scene. It was heartbreaking.

No worries, I sleep for 16hrs in general. So I feel you. Sleep is too good. Hope you had a good sleep ☺️

Ok I'm fully rested and ready to tell you all my favorite parts of the last chapter.

1) "I never felt like I didn't know you." YES! We all really needed to hear this. I was worried initally Taehyung might confirm Nina's comment. I felt so frustrated bc even though she was hesitant I thought there were so many genuine moments we saw OC fight against her survival instincts and push herself out of her comfort zone to share parts of herself, and I'm so happy Taehyung saw that. It's ok to not feel comfortable opening up to someone until trust is established and Davis and Nina proved that they were not worthy of earning OCs trust so they have no right to gaslight her into thinking she was the cause for their treacherous actions. Do you see OC and Nina ever making up or do you think she will learn its best to let Nina go?

2) "An outline of the boy who sees you, knows you, loves you." Ugh this might be favorite line of the whole series.

3) "Since Strindberg!" Omg the way I can picture irl Taehyung doing the exact same thing in this moment. It reminds me of the "medic! medic!" moments from Run BTS. I remember you saying you only write for Taehyung right now bc you feel most comfortable writing in his voice and this was a moment where I felt your ability to capture his playful but earnest spirit really shone through.

4) The smut scene at the end was so good! When they first went to the basement I was like really? On the pong table? After that sweet love confession? But then per usual you surprised us with a switch up and a steamy but still very sweet scene! I love how you pepper in realistic moments of silliness or awkwardness during these scenes, like OC getting a leg cramp a few chapters earlier. It makes them feel so much more real than so much of the smut out there that sometimes describes things that are not even physically possible lol.

5) And lastly Taehyungs final words. Just the perfect ending moment that was romantic in all the right ways while still being authentic. And don't get me started with the fact that the first thing he called her in that list was smart. Swoon.

And yes 😱 you totally had me going for a moment! I was like girl did you not just say "what was it all for??"

I'm so sad this series is over but so excited for more CF drabbles and Trip! I can't wait to reread the whole series again once I start missing it and find more of the little threads you've woven throughout that I probably didn't see the first time. And in the meantime will start making my wishlist of WWH drabble requests.

Honestly, as an adult person who has walked away from MULTIPLE toxic friendships and came out stronger for it, no, I don’t see oc and Nina reconciling. OC deserves better from her friends, and she’s learning through this story to realize her worth. I made my ride or dies in college, and i see that future for oc, kiko, and brig.
