Roach Appreciation

Samba Schutte does my favorite background acting on this show, and this post is showing some appreciation! He's on par with Matthew Maher in absolutely destroying one liners, and his emotive acting conveys just as much.

So.... here are some of my favorite scenes!

At the beginning of 1x2, I love his looks of annoyance as Pete is telling his story and Stede is so in to it.

At the end of 1x3, his terror and confusion over the Jim reveal makes the scene.

During Ed and Stede's storytime at the beginning of 1x6, I love his cute Tell Us prompting to Stede asking Ed how to use people's fear against them.

At the end of 1x6, I love that he laughs at Stede's awful dad joke that he was proud of.

At the end of 1x8, he really sells the sadness about Karl.

At the end of 1x10, he's so happy about that talent show!

In 2x2, he is the audience's reaction to watching LuPete kiss.

In 2x5, his "Imagine if it bleeds" to stabbing the Cursed Red jacket is the best.

At the beginning of 2x6, his excited gasp to "Today is Calypo's birthday" is the best acting in the season (even through Rhys Darby tried very hard to compete at the end of 2x3)!

At the end of 2x8, he's just so happy when LuPete is married.

Such a cutie. I love him.

I can’t believe y’all moved on from this. I’m still stuck on the fact that Carlos is just patiently waiting for TK to get to him so they can kiss??? This man really has both arms wide open for his fiancé, he’s like dude get in here, and he waits.

On the other hand, we have TK, a literal golden retriever (I like to think of him more as a corgi for obvi reasons but we make do), with his little impatient run/overly excited wiggle to get to his fiancé when he finally realizes Carlos is waiting for him.
