im fine answering that, im in a good mood rn. 

its mostly helped me by allowing me to explore all of this “gender” stuff without any consequence. i don’t know a lot of people irl on my tumblr (and those i do are queer themselves) so i could experiment with all this without fear of anyone becoming violent or losing people i care about or whatever. it lets you avoid countless awkward coming out conversations after years of questioning. its also low risk if i decide that “no that label doesn’t fit, imma change it” while if i did that off of social media you have to re-come out and theres all this questioning from people and clarification conversations that id really prefer to avoid. this doesn’t just go for labels but names too, i used to go by orion, duncan, clyde, and a couple others before deciding on Ivan. having people who relate is nice too of course. lets you know you’re not a freak. im not in desperate need of a support network ‘cause im in a REALLY supportive environment (thank god am i right) but im also a really private person so being able to talk to people who can relate while on anonymous is a lifesaver. i hate talking about personal junk with people i know but, again, online i feel i can complain, discuss, and explore being LGBT with relatively no consequences.
