Ok, for those of you who have seen my blog, you know how much I enjoy inanimate objects that are “alive.” Because I’d like to introduce my all time favorite ad about excavators (HOLY AWUKHEFUKHWEFK I LOVE CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES).

Do you have any headcanons about swordsman and the dark matter race in general?

Yes!! I have quite a few thoughts about them as a matter of fact, so this might get long haha.

Dark Matter Species

Dark Matter and Light Matter (what Kirby’s species is made of) are related species that both come from Void. Dark Matter in particular is negativity and hatred given physical form.

Given that they are made of hatred, they thrive off of misery and negative emotions and grow weaker in the presence of positive emotions. They can only be defeated with the use of a Light Weapon, which have all since been lost to time.

The most ancient incarnation of pure Dark Matter is Zero, who serves as the ruler of all of the lesser Dark Matters.

By feeding on enough dark particles and negativity, Zero can reproduce asexually to create even more Dark Matter underlings. This is a trait unique to him, as lesser Dark Matters are not strong enough to reproduce.

On rare occasions, a Dark Matter can be born that contains trace amounts of Light Matter which causes them to experience more sincere emotions and physical traits not found in others of their kind. However, such emotions are a sign of weakness among the clan, and weak links are quickly eliminated by Zero or one of his henchmen.

Dark Matter are also known for being quite aggressive among others of their kind and will attack each other if they sense weakness.

Zero, as well as the rest of the Dark Matter, can utilize psychic abilities such as telepathy and telekinesis. Zero himself can even overwhelm the minds of others to an excruciating degree.

Dark Matter is known for their ability to possess various things such as living creatures and inanimate objects. They can pass their own physical characteristics to their hosts in a way that is completely unnatural and strange. Young and/or inexperienced Dark Matter struggle with fully possessing a victim but they can possess small objects and creatures with very low mental willpower.

Being freed from Dark Matter possession leaves the host with lingering side effects for the next few days, such as feeling lightheaded and nauseous. They can also suffer more frequent nightmares and feelings of misery and irritability. These effects will wear off in a few days.

Dark Matter Blade

Zero's most trusted henchman. He is one of the captains of the Dark Matter army and the strongest one too. Skilled with a sword and effectively unable to be killed, he is a huge threat to the GSA.

His first mission as captain was to slay a Star Warrior. But something deep down inside him didn't have the heart to fully go through with it.

He has a deep inner conflict about his role as a member of Dark Matter that he keeps buried as much as he can. Despite his front, he is a deeply lonely person. However, any sign of weakness could get him destroyed by his master.

Like the rest of his kind, he doesn't need to eat actual food to survive. If given the chance, however, he would love to try Dreamland's cuisine as it looks very tasty to him.

Gooey was banished by Zero after having escaped being destroyed by him. Blade pities Gooey, and occasionally hopes he is well back on Popstar. (Gooey Headcanons)

But our story today is different in theme, for our hero had no choice, or so it would seem. It starts with a fairy bestowing a spell. This one’s for a baby named Julie of Frell.

||Tan(60)=√3|| Although very abrupt, Shugarl could make some exceptions for certain events, and people. A birthday celebration and his favorite person on campus were two equally important exceptions, that when weighed together gave him no chance to refute—not that he would. Komui has been there for him when he was having a hard time, and he was that friend who he could pass some time leisurely with. It was the least he could do, spending the special day with him.

    He’d only have wished that Komui would have given him more of a heads up so he could have at least attempted to prepare something for the day, but alas, Shugarl had no idea. Then again, now that he thought about it—Komui likely didn’t know the anniversary of his own birth. When he thought about it that way, he couldn’t help but relent and let Komui off the hook for that one. Otherwise it would be one of those ‘calling the kettle black’ situations.

    Given the fact that he hadn’t tried to fight against it, Shugarl was going to guess that Komui was fine with the idea of Shugarl buying him a birthday dinner. The big question was there to go? There were so many restaurants that one could go to around Akounri, but how many were worthy of being used to celebrate one’s Birthday with? That is the big question.

         “Yes, Joe.                   It’s a name I arbitrarily bestowed upon him.”

    Shugarl wasn’t the best at reading facial expressions and the like, but he couldn’t help but think that maybe Komui was laughing at him. Perhaps the older man found it childish of him? Well, that was fine. Mentally shrugging his shoulders, Shugarl was looking forward to see his favorite aquatic animal in the entire aquarium.

    Locking the door to the office, the two were ready to go.

          “Joe might be playing with a rubix cube.                  It’s fascinating to watch him go.”

Komui watched his friend complete his ‘end of the day’ ritual in silence while he continued to mull over who Joe could be. There were so many possibilities or at least he imagined there would be since he had only heard good things about the variety of creatures housed at the aquarium. The real question was which of them would have snared his friend’s interest enough to warrant being granted not only a name but the position of favourite.

At least he had been provided a clue of sorts... that the creature in question was intelligent so that automatically ruled out ordinary fish, jelly fish and anything crustacean.

Hmmm... 

Could it possibly be a dolphin? They were extremely intelligent creatures and Shugarl had mentioned the dolphin show just prior to mentioning Joe. It would be hard to distinguish an individual dolphin from it’s companions though, unless of course it had a unique characteristic that made it easily identifiable.

At the comment, Komui inwardly shook his head and scratched dolphins from the list of candidates. Dolphins that were part of a show mostly had their own names given by the trainers and he couldn’t imagine his friend renaming one arbitrarily or not.

The scientist momentarily ceased his musings to give his friend a fond smile. Somehow he hadn’t ever thought the man likely to give a nickname to anything but it was rather touching to know that he did. He felt almost privileged to get to know a side of his friend that he hadn’t before.

“I think Joe is a pretty nice name. There’s nothing wrong with giving a name to something you consider special to you.”

After all, he randomly named inanimate objects all the time just for the fun of it so he was probably the more questionable between the two of them if one came down to it.

Noticing that Shugarl was almost done, he gradually started drifting towards the door even as his mind returned back to it’s previous contemplations.

I guess that rules out orca and possibly whales as well...

Could Joe be a shark? Some of them were quite intelligent from what he’d heard although perhaps more along the lines of being cunning so maybe not. A seahorse? Unlikely. An eel? Probably not. 

What about...

By now Komui was standing outside the office and not too long after his companion followed and locked the door. His mind still concentrating on resolving the mystery at hand, he almost missed what was said but as soon as the words registered his demeanour brightened considerably.

To be able to ‘play’ with a rubix cube in any other fashion besides batting it around with a nose or fin would require flexible appendages of some kind and the only such creature that the scientist was aware of was an octopus. Feeling pleased with his deductive reasoning, Komui nodded in appreciation of his friend’s choice. The octopus truly was a remarkable and fascinating creature.

“I’m sure it must be an impressive feat to witness firsthand.”

Now that they were finally on their way, he could feel his excitement escalating but he tried to contain it for the time being. He didn’t want to cause his friend any reason to regret accompanying him, especially when they hadn’t even arrived yet.

The beauty of the public transport system was that it often included stops at popular venues to visit and the aquarium, conveniently for them, was one such location. Once he’d hopped off the bus, Komui stared in awe at the welcoming banner displayed above the entrance while he waited for his companion to join him.

“Since you’ve been to this particular aquarium before, I’ll leave you to play to tour guide~”

As Kingfishers Catch Fire — The Compleat Analysis

As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame; As tumbled over rim in roundy wells Stones ring; like each tucked string tells, each hung bell's Bow swung finds tongue to fling out broad its name; Each mortal thing does one thing and the same: Deals out that being indoors each one dwells; Selves — goes itself; myself it speaks and spells, Crying Whát I dó is me: for that I came.

I say móre: the just man justices; Kéeps gráce: thát keeps all his goings graces; Acts in God's eye what in God's eye he is — Chríst — for Christ plays in ten thousand places, Lovely in limbs, and lovely in eyes not his To the Father through the features of men's faces.

I consider Gerard Manley Hopkins to be one of the most skilled poets of all time — and in this sonnet, we see the Jesuit poet in his versificatory prime. Few other poets could claim to display a similar mastery of poetic form, rhythm, rhyme, and the subtler techniques of alliteration and enjambment. Hopkins's style can be daunting at first, and indeed this poem can be difficult to understand on a first reading, but this makes him all the more rewarding for the perceptive reader. What is most remarkable about him is the way he uses words as more than vessels for meaning — he imbues them with life, and their sounds are a crucial element of his expression. This poem is a wonderful example — and were you to limit yourself to reading a single poem of his, there is hardly a better choice. In As Kingfishers Catch Fire, Hopkins, in his trademark style, lays out his philosophy of being, his religious views and his ideas on the nature of the whole world.

Hopkins's ideas could be seen as a Catholic interpretation of Plato's Theory of Forms. He sees everything as having its own inscape, its unique identity which is shared across all of its instances:

Each mortal thing does one thing and the same: Deals out that being indoors each one dwells;

The word 'mortal' here describes inanimate items as well as living creatures, but I think we can consider them all mortal in comparison to God's eternal being. The are all His creations — even man-made strings and bells are, in a way, God-given. All mortal creatures and objects express their inscape in some characteristic way, through some unique aspect we associate with them. This is fundamentally subjective — two different people can have two different ideas as to what constitutes a distinguishing feature. For example, Hopkins associates stones with the sound they make when tumbled over the rim of a well; I have never dropped stones into a well and thus I wouldn't have that connection in my mind.

A crucial element of this idea of inscape is described in the sestet. Humans also possess an inscape, but it works in a slightly different fashion to that of other creatures and objects. Because we have free will, we can choose to suppress our inscape through immoral acts. Every human's inscape is Christ, present in them insofar as she or he "Kéeps gráce". Christ thus appears "lovely in limbs, and lovely in eyes not his" when good people do good deeds. To the extent that our acts are fair and just, we become more human — we become Christ. Boggs (224)1 points out that Hopkins stresses the religious significance of the difference between human and other inscape by moving from the human eye seeing the kingfishers and dragonflies to "God's eye" looking at us.

With all this, we may have forgotten that As Kingfishers Catch Fire is not a philosophical text — it is a poem, and Hopkins makes expert use of this fact. Kingfishers "catch fire" and dragonflies "draw flame" not merely because of how they appear when flying around, but also because of their very names. Hopkins harnesses the forms of words and ties them inextricably with their meanings. The opening line of this sonnet presents a perfect example, and also constitutes one of the most masterfully crafted lines of verse I have ever seen: [Bold indicates stressed syllables, underline alliteration]

As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame;

The alliteration of the 'k' and 'f' sounds of "kingfishers" and "catch fire", as well as the 'd' and 'f' of "dragonflies draw flame" links name with action and, by extension, object with inscape. The unusual double-unstressed, double-stressed combination slows down the line and draw attention to it; they also bring to mind those creatures speeding around and changing direction in midair. The rhythm is perfectly symmetrical across the two subjects; Hirshfield (9)2 notes that the vowels also maintain the harmony — "The vowels, too, keep the vow: the 'i' in 'kingfishers' repeated in 'fire,' the 'a' of 'dragonflies' in 'flame,' each shifting from short to long in pronunciation."

In the next few lines, Hopkins continues to link inscape with the words used to describe it. He uses onomatopoeia in "tumbled" and "ring" to describe the sound of the stone. The alliteration of plosives3 in "tucked string tells" is reminiscent of the sharp plucks described. The line describing the bell — "bow swung finds tongue to fling out broad its name" — switches from the chaotic rhythms of the previous lines to an impeccable iambic pentameter, imitating a bell's steady ringing. Four of the stressed words have broad vowels like a bell's deep echo, while the only other one ("fling") brings to mind a bell going 'ding'. I find the level of detail in Hopkins's language here absolutely astonishing.

Hopkins's use of neologisms further explores the inherent meaningfulness of words. Even a completely new word can be comprehensible given its context and form. Hopkins's neologisms are entirely logical — everything with a self "selves", and what would a "just man" do but 'justice'?

The underlying harmony behind worldly chaos is reflected in Hopkins's use of form. Despite all of its stylistic invention and innovation, this poem is written in the entirely conventional and rather constraining form of a Petrarchean sonnet. The rhyming scheme — ABBAABBA CDCDCD — is particularly strong in the octet, with only two different rhymes in eight lines. In addition, they are all simple masculine rhymes, which makes for even smoother reading. Without a set form to rein it in, Hopkins's stylistic oddities could have turned the poem into a jumbled mess, but the structure and techniques employed prevent that from happening.

Here is my proposed scansion for the entirety of the poem, along with the most important instances of alliteration (I based the scansion in part on consolidating the accents shown in the poem from Poetry Foundation4 and poets.org5):

As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame;

Stones ring; like each tucked string tells, each hung bell's

Bow swung finds tongue to fling out broad its name;

Each mortal thing does one thing and the same:

The phrase "thát keeps all his goings graces" is notable because the stress on 'that' means that it should be read 'keeping grace [is what] keeps all his goings graces' and not 'the just man that keeps all his goings graces...', in which case the word 'that' should have been replaced with 'who' anyway. This is not how I initially read it but it probably makes more sense to interpret it this way.

Why — we might asks ourselves — is Hopkins so concerned with identity and moral behaviour? We could speculate that, at least on a subconscious level, he was expressing his uncertainty and confusion about his own identity, and in particular his sexual orientation. Ferguson (6)6 notes that Hopkins "was plagued with bouts of what would now be considered clinical depression and deeply internalized homophobia," which infused his 'Terrible Sonnets' in particular, but is also glimpsed in this poem. The discrepancy between his religious convictions and the very fibre of his being manifests in the underlying tension of his work — he was manipulated into believing that his sexuality was contrary to being a "just man" who "keeps grace". The suffering forced upon him was deplorable, but without it some of his best work — this poem included — may have never been written. Perhaps — as Hopkins would have no doubt characterised the situation — this is simply an example of God moving in a mysterious way.

Angels are a species in Devil May Cry, alongside humans and demons. Although no true angel is encountered in the classic series, they are inferred to be a divine counterpart to devils. In many alleged appearances, however, the "angel" is simply a demon with angelic characteristics and powers, or a human who has undergone the Ascension Ceremony, which lends some doubt to the existence of angels in the first place. In the new series, however, angels are a well-known counterpart to the demons.

Devil May Cry 3 Manga In the Devil May Cry 3 manga, Vergil and Arkham discuss the nature of devils and angels while gazing upon one of the Seven Sins. When Vergil comments that he sees only a devil, Arkham reminds him that the two, meaning angels and demons, were once the same thing, and that this demon has retained its angelic appearance.

Devil May Cry 4 The Order of the Sword created a ritual called the Ascension Ceremony, which gives its participants angelic form and abilities but actually turns them into demons in the process. This process created Alto Angelos,[3] as well as transforming Agnus and Credo into Angelo Agnus and Angelo Credo, respectively. Bianco Angelos, another result of the Order's research into demonic power, also possess angel-like appearance, however those are just inanimate armors possessed by demonic or human soul.[4] The Wing Talisman is also claimed to be made from crystallized angel wing.

DmC: Devil May Cry In the DmC: Devil May Cry universe, angels are an ageless supernatural species that have always been at war with demons. Prior to the beginning of the game, the demon Sparda fell in love with an angel named Eva. Their love transgressed ancient boundaries and bore witness to the birth of twin boys, Dante and Vergil. The happy family lived a happy life until the Demon King Mundus found them. Mundus then proceeded to kill Eva.

Dante is a Nephilim, an angel-demon hybrid, and can channel his angelic powers into his sword, changing its form. Dante's Angelic powers seem to be concerned with manipulating him rather than him manipulating the world, such as Angel Glide and Angel Lift.

Although Angels exist in the game world, Dante only encounters one throughout the game, his mother, who appears to him when he comes out of the Secret World. Vergil also encounters his mother in Hell in Vergil's Downfall.

In the Abrahamic religions, angels are spiritual beings who serve God and carry out his will, and are often described as his children. Most demons (ex. Leviathan, Beelzebub, and Lucifer) are said to have been high ranking angels prior to their falls from grace. Angelic hybrids are also known as Nephilim. In the book of Genesis, the Nephilim were a race of powerful angel-human hybrids, said to be giants, and the "heroes of old". In the Book of Jubilees, however, they are seen as evil entities. Seeing the creatures as a threat to humanity, God released a flood which destroyed the Nephilim. They were born when fallen angels consorted with human women.

Devil May Cry 6 Lord is a young orphan of unknown origin. He was found abandoned on a small village. manly believe he has noble blood but his true family remains unknown. His village was attacked by demons when he was very young. Being the only survivor he decided to become a demon hunter and to avenge his friends and family which was slaughtered by the demon attack. Lord is also childhood friend of Mary(Lady) and secretly has a crush on her. Later He finds out that he is actually the Christian God who is the Supreme Being from Heaven and Creator of the World.

Mary Also known as Lady in Heaven Virgin Mary. Heavenly Mother and the wife of God the Father.

This last woman, who sets in motion the entire rescue operation, can only be Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus according to Dante's faith.

The Blessed Virgin of the Comedy is the Blessed Virgin of Christian faith. "Lady" (birth name: Mary) - Named after The Blessed Virgin Mary who appears in The Divine Comedy as a symbol of Divine Mercy to aid poet Dante Alighieri on his quest calling on  Beatrice to assist him. "Lady" is likely a reference to one of the virgin's other names, "Madonna" (Italian for "Lady").

Lord also known as The White Lord takes his character inspiration from God  In the game he appears as playable character in Devil May Cry 6 as an assassin archangel who came to secure the peace on earth once more.

He doesn't trust anyone except for his childhood friend, Lady which he grew up with. He is very calm and silent. Often works as a lone wolf. However he always prepare for a mission. Always prepares for work by looking for information about target. Knowledge about week points of enemy, their allies and enemies.

Later in the game he meets Lady and joins the Devil Mary Cry shop as her partner in fight against the demons.

He is originally an Archangel and right hand of the Father of Heavens. After The Great War that resulted with the banishment of Lucifer he earned his place at the right hand of the Supreme Father. Nowadays he is sent to Earth and given the task to secure the peace on earth once more, by eliminating all demons who come to create chaos. He is viewed as a cold blooded killer who shows no mercy to demons instead of words or prayers he prefers cold steel and swift deaths. His second task is to find and protect the High Priestess which bears the sacred catalyst pendant that can close the door between earth and demon world forever.

[Appearance] Veszelyite has a bulky figure that makes her look like a male and she’s about Garnet’s height. She has short green-blue hair with dark blue eyes and sky blue skin. Her gem is placed on her right shoulder and is in the shape of an oval.

(Pre-Poofed) Veszelyite wears a sleeveless, pale blue uniform, there is a black stripe running down her back with three black tiger stripes on each side of her chest that connects at the blue diamond insignia in the middle of her chest. Her pale blue pants are connected to her uniform by a black belt, the pants stick to Veszelyite’s legs and have a blue diamond insignia on the knees, the pants are stuffed into black boots that reach halfway up Veszelyite’s legs and the boots have a dark grey sole each.

(Post-Poofed) Veszelyite wears a white short sleeved T-shirt under a short sleeved red and black checkered jacket with a grey hood and a yellow star over the left chest area, the shirt and jacket have their right sleeves ripped out. She also wears blue jeans that are ripped at the knees and blue green and white sneakers over white socks. Veszelyite wears a pair of rectangular, sky blue visors from time to time like sunglasses.

[Personality] Veszelyite is a tomboyish gem and is very nonchalant and is mostly laid back and/or calm. She’s very collected and patient but can lose her temper easily and becomes a ‘raging beast’ if angered. Veszelyite is very protective about the one she cares about and will go to extreme measures if it means keeping her loved ones safe.

[History] Veszelyite was created on Homeworld years after Jade was created, she was a natural fighter and was made to be a captain. Veszelyite always trained with other gems and loved to hangout and talk with the Famethyst, she was famous among her soldiers and was loved by them too, but they always preferred to stay on Veszelyite’s good side.

In the army Jade was in, Veszelyite led. She and her army were assigned to destroy Earth, on the ship, Veszelyite interacted with the assigned soldiers and came across Jade, who was sitting at one side and staring outside at space. When Veszelyite greeted Jade, she caught her completely off guard, causing Jade to jump and yelp. Veszelyite laughs and teases Jade, who didn’t enjoy it one bit. Realizing that Jade wasn’t joking, Veszelyite apologized and starts a conversation with Jade, eventually getting to know Jade much better and developing a new feeling.

In the battle on Earth, the gem warship used for the attack was hit with the Laser Light Cannons. Veszelyite’s gems cracked while she tried gaining control of the chaos, she was thrown into a corner before Jade manage to find her and heal her using her tears. Unfortunately, Veszelyite was poofed during the crash as she tried to protect Jade and was bubbled by Garnet when The Crystal Gems were looking for any surviving gems from Homeworld.

1 week passed after the attack, Jade entered the temple while The Crystal Gems were away and looked for Veszelyite, she managed to find her and free her from Garnet’s bubble, but Veszelyite didn’t reform. Upset, Jade took her to Steven’s living room and talked to Veszelyite everyday about the things she’s learnt and her adventures, but all the while hiding Veszelyite from The Crystal Gems, and catching Steven’s suspicion.

1 month after the attack, Veszelyite reformed under the moonlight, waking Jade and unknowingly Steven. Jade was overjoyed beyond compare to see Veszelyite, but Veszelyite was confused and angry at Jade for joining The Crystal Gems. As Jade tried to explain to Veszelyite her reasons for joining with the enemy, Steven confronts them, scaring Jade into a panic and provoking Veszelyite into attacking.

Veszelyite attacks Steven with her battle axe, snapping Jade out of her panicking state. As Veszelyite broke Steven’s shield and was about to deliver the final blow, Jade interrupts and shields Steven with her body, making Veszelyite stop her attack. Jade attempts to reason with Veszelyite, but The Crystal Gems interrupt and attack Veszelyite on sight. Veszelyite happily fights, but is soon outnumbered by Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl and is cornered.

Before Amethyst could poof Veszelyite, Jade jumps in and protects her, Jade explains that Veszelyite should be given a chance like her and shuts Veszelyite down when she tried to attack again.

At first, Veszelyite was very untrusting towards The Crystal Gems and only relaxed around Jade, she would summon her axe whenever a Crystal Gem got too close and scowl at them. Jade made an attempt to get Veszelyite to understand by bringing her to Peridot and Lapis, saying that they could help her like how they helped Jade. During their first encounter, Veszelyite was very rude and mostly ignored Peridot and Lapis, it was until she got a scolding from Jade did she give the barn gems a chance and watch Camp Pining Hearts with them.

Slowly, Veszelyite warms up towards The Crystal Gems and is more comfortable around them. One day, Jade was out tending to a small cut Steven obtained and was unaware of the crocodile approaching her. Veszelyite, having to see the crocodile, screams for Jade to watch out and proceeds to attack the shark. During the fight, Veszelyite managed to drive away the crocodile but only with the dust that flew when she was poofed.

Jade, horrified, picks up Veszelyite’s gem and holds it close to her. But it only took an hour or so for Veszelyite to reform with a new attire, Veszelyite announces that she was joining The Crystal Gems, and that they weren’t so bad along with that she was only doing it for Jade.

[Abilities] ¦ “Nah, I don’t have healing powers like Jade, it’s not my thing you know.”

Veszelyite possesses standard Gem abilities, bubbling, shapeshifting, fusion, regeneration, agelessness, and superhuman strength/durability. Although her gem isn’t very hard, she has more stamina than most gems and is as strong as Garnet.

(Natural Abilities) ●Weapon Summoning Veszelyite can summon more than one battle axe from her gem. ●Bubbling Veszelyite is capable of encasing items in a sky blue coloured bubble. ●Photokinesis Veszelyite is able to shine a sky blue light similar to a flashlight from her gem. ●Immense Stamina Although her gem is not very hard, Veszelyite has a large amount of stamina that allows her to fight for days without breaking a sweat.

(Unique Abilities) ●Shapeshifting As an Era 1 gem, Veszelyite has the ability to shapeshift into inanimate objects, living creatures, and working vehicles. ●Armor Summoning Unlike other soldier gems, Veszelyite is capable of creating armor out of light to protect herself.

(Garnet) Veszelyite used to despise Garnet, always scowling with an axe ready whenever she was around. But Veszelyite realized how strong Garnet was and started to admire her strength. Veszelyite attempts to get to know Garnet better through a spar, the two came to a tie in the end, but they understood each other better through a conversation they had during the spar and got along better.

(Pearl) Veszelyite used to act higher and vain around Pearl, treating her as if she was just an accessory since that was how she viewed Homeworld pearls. She was surprised when Pearl talked back and didn’t follow orders from The Crystal Gems, and even more so when Pearl displayed the skills she had taught herself. When Pearl showed that she was a pearl of her own and followed no one’s orders, Veszelyite came to respect Pearl more and treated her like a normal gem.

(Amethyst) At first sight, Veszelyite viewed Amethyst as a defect but tried to make friends anyway, she manages to befriend Amethyst quickly by mentioning the Famethyst and their progress. Veszelyite was able to get along well with Amethyst due to interacting with many of her kind and therefore, knowing most of her personality.

(Steven) After Jade’s encouragement, Steven was the first one Veszelyite tried to interact with, noting how Steven had helped Jade and her anxiety during their conversation. Steven and Veszelyite managed to get along well through their cares for Jade and their comrades, Veszelyite respects Steven for his determination to protect his friends and his strength to hold against her when they fought.

(Peridot) Veszelyite had no problem getting along with Peridot, her only problem was that she didn’t give Peridot a chance during their first encounter, due to Veszelyite only having to have met Era 1 peridots and viewing them as vain. It was only after a scolding from Jade did Veszelyite attempt to befriend Peridot, Veszelyite and Peridot both got along through their knowledge for piloting and their knowledge of warships. Even so, Veszelyite enjoys Peridot’s company and once said that if she needed a captain or a co-pilot, she would know who to go to.

(Lapis Lazuli) Veszelyite was in the same court as Lapis, but they never met due to there being many blue gems between them. Veszelyite used to be uneasy around Lapis, probably even scared of her. But Lapis showed herself to be calm and friendly unless provoked, easing Veszelyite’s discomfort and letting her get along with Lapis better.

(Connie) Connie looks up to Veszelyite, strength-wise. Veszelyite took notice of Connie’s stamina and strength and came to respect her for it, she doesn’t hesitate to teach Connie what she knew about sword play when questioned and was more than happy to demonstrate her skills. Veszelyite enjoys Connie’s presence and grins like an idiot whenever Connie requests for a private lesson from her.

(Greg) Greg and Veszelyite do not meet often, but during their short encounters, Veszelyite proved herself to be an intimidating and strong opponent, scaring Greg slightly. Greg thinks that Veszelyite was a brute who wouldn’t hesitate to beat others up until Steven protests and explains that Veszelyite was only putting up a show and is actually very caring and kind at heart.

(Jade) Veszelyite cares a lot for Jade the most and acts very nonchalant around her, her very presence calms Jade down and Jade is the only one who can calm Veszelyite during one of her raging moments. The two had met each other on a warship and had hit off quickly, Veszelyite loves to flirt with Jade and was very grateful for when she healed a crack in her gem and when she freed her from a bubble and kept her company before she could reform. Whenever Jade is around, Veszelyite almost always looks at her and blushes when she talks to her.
