God Bless the Children of the Beast - Part 8
Previous // Masterlist
Pairing: The Dirt!Tommy Lee x Reader
Word Count: 3.1k
Notes: Ugh, this one was a chore. I had to rewrite a chunk of it since I changed my mind about some stuff…it was a whole thing.
I am playing chess with so many plot elements right now and some of them are like so freaking long game; like hang with me this is gonna be one of those updates that makes sense 8 updates later. Like I am laying the ground work for the bigger picture I swear it’s all relevant and my narrative choices will make sense later. (probably)
1984 is almost over… 🙃
Warnings: N/A (I don’t think anything majorly bad happens in this update?? So used to them at least doing drugs…)
1984
After your fight with Nikki, the atmosphere on the set of the video shoot had been less than stellar. It’s a wonder you all had managed to finish filming at all.
You were angry at Nikki for what he’d done and for putting you in an awkward position with Tommy, and in turn Nikki was trying to avoid you as much as possible. Then, you felt guilty about keeping the whole thing a secret from Tommy, which made you feel awkward around him; so it was easier for you to just try and avoid him all together if you could.
Tommy was trying to calm Roxy down after meeting his parents, and he was kind of pissed at you for laughing at the whole ‘groupie’ comment his mother had made. Normally you’d be upset about this, but it actually worked out in your favor, since you were trying to avoid him anyway. Still, how long could you keep this up? How long could you keep your distance from your best friend? How long could you lie to him, even if you knew it was for his own good?
The shoot done, you’d all retreated back to the hotel. After a long, hot shower, you called Razzle. You talked to him most nights now; some days it was only a few minutes, just to check in, see how the tour was going, make sure everyone was doing okay before he and his boys went out to party and you and yours did the same. Other times, the two of you stayed on the phone for hours, talking through the night. You had seen the long-distance bills from the hotels when you helped Doc with the paperwork–they were outrageous; but you didn’t care. It was worth it.
You had debated whether you should tell him about what was going on with you and Nikki, just so you could get it off your chest. Normally, if you had an issue like this, you would go straight to Tommy, or in the past Nikki; the fact that they were both at the center of the problem meant you had no one else to turn to. You could talk to Vince or Mick–under normal circumstances you would trust them enough to confide in them, but this issue was delicate; what if something happens and they accidentally told Tommy? You couldn’t risk anyone else close to you finding out and telling him. But then trusting someone new was, for lack of a better word–scary–and you weren’t sure if you were ready to put that level of trust in Razzle yet.
When you called him, you hadn’t really planned on telling him; you were just going to have a normal conversation. But he’d picked up on it immediately; he could tell something was wrong just by the tone of your voice. When he asked you about it, you realized you wanted to trust him, and you decided to take a chance and open up to him.
It felt good to talk. Not just to tell him about the situation, but to tell him how you felt about it. Razzle listened, telling you he honestly wasn’t sure what the right thing to do was, but that he was there for you, and you only had to call if you ever needed anything. Just listening was enough; just being there was enough.
And you really did love him for that.
—
After the shoot, there had been a noticable change in the dynamic of your group. No one wanted to talk about it, but the difference was obvious. You could barely stand to be around Nikki; between your anger at his actions with Roxie and his increasingly rude and inconsiderate behavior towards everyone, you found yourself fighting with him more and more each day.
Then there was Tommy. He and Roxie broke up, so that was one problem solved; but just like he always did after a breakup he was extra clingy with you now that she was gone. He wanted to hang out all the time, and that had caused some problems. For starters, while Roxie may be gone, you were still dealing with the weight of the her secret sex with Nikki, and knowing about it made being around Tommy awkward for you. You tried to suck it up and act like nothing was wrong, but it was obvious something was on your mind, and you wished Tommy would just give you some space so you had more time to process everything.
Then, there was the other issue that had come up between you. You had made it clear to Tommy you needed some time to yourself every once and awhile, and he seemed to agree, in theory. Then, in practice, would still bug you whenever he felt like it. Sometimes, he came to bother you in the middle of your phonecalls with Razzle. The few times this had happened, things had not gone well.
Tommy would insist you hang up and spend time with him. You would of course tell him no, saying you would hang out with him later. Usually, he would leave, pouting like a child. Later, he would spend the whole time complaining about Razzle; which annoyed you to no end–and you made sure to tell him so. That would only pissed him off more, and you two of you would both leave angry.
The last time he came in while you were on the phone, he’d been high, or drunk–or both–and when you refused to hang up he’d come over and done it for you. You’d gotten into a huge argument–something that had never happened before–and you made him leave, locking him out of your room.
Ever since your fight, Tommy had been walking on eggshells around you. He knew he’d fucked up, but he didn’t know how to fix it. You knew he couldn’t do anything; he’d apologized, but you were still upset. You just wanted to get away from all the drama–from Tommy, from Nikki–where you could relax and you didn’t have to worry if someone was going to yell at you for something or if you were going to get into another argument.
You weren’t essential to the band, it had occurred to you that maybe you could just go home for a week or two; take a little break? The guys wouldn’t love that idea, but no one could argue that things weren't strained right now. You could use some time apart. You hadn’t been away from them since they’d become a band–you’d all been living together the whole three years since they’d formed Motley Crue. It would be strange to be away from them after being together for so long, but then again some distance was starting to seem like exactly what you needed. And they do say absence makes the heart grow fonder; maybe taking some time apart would help heal the rifts forming in your most important relationships. Even if you didn’t love the idea of being alone, it would be worth it to get away for awhile.
As you drop your bags in yet another empty hotel room, you spot the phone on the nightstand, and an idea suddenly occurs to you. A crazy idea; maybe a great idea, or maybe a totally stupid one. Either way, the boys will absolutely hate it.
You pick up the phone, dialing the number and giving instructions to the receptionist on the other end as you sit on your bed.
“'ello beautiful.” Razzle greets you, and you smile.
“Hey Nic, how’s it going?” You ask, twirling the spiral cord around your finger.
“No' too bad; the boys and I jus' go' back.” He answer.
“Oh, that’s good.” You say, biting your lip, unsure of how to proceed.
“Is everythin' awlrigh'? You sound upset again.” He asks. “More trouble wif your brofa? Or is it Tommy this time?” You sigh, grateful he brought it up so you didn’t have to.
“Um, well I mean yeah, sort of, but, that’s actually not what I called about.” You say.
“Oh?” He asks. “Do tell.” You take a deep breath.
“I was wondering what you would think about me maybe coming to stay with you?” You ask, nervous. “Just for a little while.” You add hastily at the end.
“You wan' to come wif me? On tou'a?” He asks, clearly surprised.
“Yeah; I, I mean if you and the band don’t mind.” You reply.
“Of course I don’t fuckin' mind!” He says, clearly excited; and you let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. “But wha' about the Crue? Won’ they be angry you’re off tourin’ wif another band?”
“I’ll handle the boys.” You assure him, smiling into the receiver.
—
“The fuck do you mean you’re leaving?” Nikki asks as he looks at you, your bags at your feet.
“Exactly what I said; you need it in writing?” You snap.
“Would you stop being a fucking bitch for five seconds and explain to me what the hell you think you’re playing at?” Nikki spits back. “You can’t just fucking leave!”
“Newsflash Nikki; you don’t fucking own me! I can do whatever the hell I want!” You shout, throwing your arms up.
“Okay, okay can everyone just chill out for a second please?” Vince asks.
“Stay the fuck out of this Vince.” Nikki sneers as he looks over at the blonde. “This isn’t any of your fucking business.”
“Don’t fucking yell at him!” You say, scowling at Nikki as he looks back at you.
“We’re gonna get kicked out of the lobby soon.” Mick comments absently.
“Y/N please don’t go.” Tommy begs. “We can talk about this.”
“I’ve made up my mind Tommy.” You say firmly, crossing your arms.
“Where you gonna go, huh?” Nikki asks. “Back home? You live in my house y/n! You can’t go home–I won’t allow it!”
“'Allow it?’” You repeat in a mix of anger and disbelief. “God you have been such a fucking asshole lately! What the hell is wrong with you?” You yell back at him, exasperated. “And for your information no, I’m not going home; I’m going to stay with Nic.”
“Nic?” Nikki looks at you confused. Then, realization spreads across his face. “Oh hoho! You’re going on tour with Razzle and the rest of those fuckers in Hanoi Rocks!”
“What?” Tommy scowls. “You’re going on tour with another band?”
“I’m going to stay with my boyfriend, who is currently in a band that is touring.” You try dodging the question with a half-truth.
Technically Razzle wasn’t your boyfriend yet–but that was only because the two of you didn’t have time to talk about it over the phone before you had to leave to catch your flight. You expected that’s where things were headed though, since you were going to be touring with him now, so it wasn’t a total lie.
“Boyfriend? Since fucking when?” Tommy shouts.
“That’s none of your fucking business.” You snap, taken aback by his sudden change in tone. He had been so desperate and kind a second ago.
“So what? You a fucking groupie now y/n? Huh? You just gonna hop from one band to another whenever it’s convenient for you?” Tommy asks, clearly pissed. You look back at him like you’ve been slapped in the face. You clench your jaw as tears start forming in your eyes.
“Fuck you Tommy.” You whisper, tears sliding down your cheeks.
“Y/N–” He calls out to you, but you ignore him; grabbing your bags and heading out the door.
—
You stand outside waiting for your taxi as the tears continue flowing down your face. It was all too much, and as much as you hated people seeing you cry, you just couldn’t hold it in anymore.
Nikki was changing. It had been happening for awhile, but you had tried to ignore it; made excuses, played it off. Now there was no denying the truth: the brother you knew, who hurt himself to save you from your mother and her shitty boyfriends, who went hungry so you could eat, who took beatings to protect you–he was disappearing. This new Nikki was someone else, someone dark, and controlling. Someone who didn’t care about hurting the people he cared about–even you. You saw less and less of the Nikki you knew everyday, and you worried one day you’d look at your brother’s face and see a stranger staring back at you.
Then there was Tommy. That sweet, simple boy you meet three years ago. Your best friend. There was more to Tommy than that now–maybe there always had been, and you just never saw it. You didn’t understand how Tommy could be so sweet, then act so cruel. You didn’t understand why he got this way about Razzle; it’s like ever since you’d started seeing the other drummer, it had brought out the worst in Tommy.
As you stand under the awning waiting for your taxi, tears still staining your cheeks, you hear the doors to the lobby open behind you. You turn and see Vince and Mick walking toward you. You quickly wipe your face on the back of your arm and smile up at them.
“Hey, sorry you guys had to get stuck in the middle of that.” You say, doing your best to sound cheerful.
“Not the first time we’ve been in the center of a public shitshow; though usually there’s more nudity involved.” Mick says, the corner of his mouth turning up slightly. You know he’s trying to cheer you up, and honestly it works. A small giggle escapes your lips.
“We can still fix that if you want to y/n.” Vince says, winking at you. “I’m always down for a little public nudity if you’re involved.”
“I’d like to not get arrested tonight; but thanks anyway Vince.” You say, smirking at him. He shurgs.
“Your loss.” He replies, looking away. After a moment, he looks back at you, a more sincere expression on his face. “By the way y/n, I wanted to say…” He trails off, rubbing the back of his neck as he looks down at the pavement awkwardly.
“What?” You press. It was unusual for Vince to be at a loss for words. He sighs, then looks back up at you.
“I just wanted to say you shouldn’t listen to Nikki and Tommy–they were being real assholes, and they were wrong.” Your eyes go wide as you stare back at him in shock. You knew Vince and Mick felt bad for you, but you hadn’t really expected them to openly take your side against their bandmates.
“Look, you’re not a bitch, and you’re definitely not a fucking groupie, okay? I mean if you were then I think I got fucking jipped.” He says with a laugh. You’re too surprised to laugh at the joke, not that it was that great to begin with.
“With jokes like that it’s amazing you ever resisted his charms.” Mick comments, and that manages to get a laugh from you. “He is right though; those two were total shitheads and I don’t blame you for wanting to split. You deserve to be happy, and if that frilly English shit makes you happy, then I say go for it.” You’re taken aback by the sincerity in Mick’s words. Vince comes over and puts a hand in your shoulder.
“Look, try not to worry about what Nikki and Tommy said, okay? They’re just pissed because they’re used to having you all to themselves, and they don’t like the idea of having to share you. So go have fun with your English boy toy, and just know we’ll be here if you ever get homesick.” You look back at the two of them, and you feel your heart swell so full it aches.
Nikki and Tommy had been the people you were closest to since the band formed; Nikki was your brother, your rock, your oldest friend. Tommy had quickly grown to be your best friend, your closet companion, the person you trusted most. But you couldn’t forget how much you loved Vince and Mick; they were your brothers just as much as Nikki and Tommy were. You had been through so much with both of them, and just because you were having problems with Tommy and Nikki, you didn’t want to punish Mick and Vince for that.
You feel tears well up in your eyes as you grab hold of Vince, hugging him tightly as you bury your face in the crock of his neck.
“Thanks Vinny.” You say as you squeeze him tighter. “I appreciate it.” You let him go, and his cheeks are flushed as he looks away.
“Yeah, whatever.” He says, and you laugh, whipping your eyes. You move over to Mick and wrap your arms around him.
“Give us a call every once and awhile so we know you’re not dead.” He says, and you laugh as you pull away.
“Yes dad.” You reply sarcastically, and he scowls. You smile, moving to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. His eyes go wide as he stares back at you in surprise. “I promise I’ll call as soon as I get there, okay?” He looks away.
“S'all I’m asking.” He mumbles.
“Hey, why does the old man get a kiss?” Vince whines, and you laugh.
Just then, the taxi pulls up to take you to the airport.
“Well, looks like my ride’s here.” You say, trying to mask your sadness by turning away from them. You move to get your bags, but Vince grabs them before you can. He winks at you, and silently moves to toss them in back of the taxi.
“It’s not forever; I’ll see you guys again in no time.” You say cheerful as you look at Mick, who just nods in response, looking lonely. You take one quick glance back at the lobby doors, before turning to the taxi.
“Thanks for grabbing my bags Vince; maybe there’s a gentleman buried in there somewhere after all.” You say, smirking.
“Don’t hold your breath sweetheart.” Vince jokes, smiling; though you both feel the sadness behind it. As you pass him, you lean in and give him a quick peak on the cheek. You smile as Vince laughs.
“There, now you’re even.” You say, before getting into the taxi. You shut the door, waving out the back window as you watch the two of them get further and further away.

Mini Fanfic: #634: A Very Worried Princess (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)
4:21 p.m. at Mario and Peach's Bedroom......
Mario: Hey, Peach?
Peach: (Hugs Mario Loving from Behind) Mmhmm?
Mario: Is everything okay with you today?
Peach: Of course, dear. Why wouldn't I be okay?
Mario: Well, for starters, you told me to come here to our room in a phonecall. Not only that, but you've been hugging for almost an hour now....(Immediately Starts Blushing) N-N-Not that I have any problems with this, of course! (Chuckles Awkwardly)
Peach: (Pouts at Mario) Well, I sure hope not, mister~ What's wrong with me giving my handsome, small boyfriend the love and attention he needs?~
Mario: (Rolled his Eyes in a Bit of a Annoyed Manner) I'm not small.....
Peach: You are to me, gosh-darn it!~ (Kiss the Top of Mario's Head)
Mario: (Turns to Peach With a Worried Look on his Face) Peach, I'm serious. I knows something's wrong and I need you to tell me so I can help. Please.
Peach: (Stares at Mario's Pleading Eyes For a Few Seconds Before Sighing in Defeat) I'm worried about you, okay!?
Mario: (A bit Surprised by Peach's Sudden Outburst) Really? B-But why?
Peach: It's because you keep getting yourself into more danger recently! I mean, first, you got stabbed by Ridley, then a year after that, a Creeper in Steve's universe detonated on you in a dark building, and do I REALLY need to explain why it bothers me that your attempted MURDERER is inside our mansion right now!!!? I mean, granted, he made it clear that he's not moving in here anytime soon, which I am VERY thankful for, but it doesn't ignore the fact that he still ticks me off!!!! And it ASTOUNDS me that none of this has been bothering you as of late!!
Mario: (Chuckles a Bit Awkwardly) Well, I mean....I have been in many near death experiences before. So....uhh...
Mario immediately stops chuckling once he sees the tears already falling down on Peach's cheeks.
Peach: (Trying her Hardest to Keep it Together) ('Sniff')
Mario: (Frowns While Sighing and Placing his Hand on top of Peach's) Hey. There's no need for you to worry about me. Really. I mean....('Sigh') sure. All the those near death experiences from Ridley, the Creeper, and Sephiroth were pretty scary and all, not to mention all the other times I almost died in most of my adventures.... B-But I was still able to make it through in the end.
Peach: ('Sigh') I know you do, Mario, but it doesn't make my worries for you go away. (Gently Squeezes Mario's Hand) Your safety is just as important as each and everyone of us in this mansion....('Sniff') And I don't wanna lose you....('Sniff') You mean so much to me and I-I just can't.....('Sniff')
Mario: (Gently Squeezes Peach's Hand Reassuringly as He Feels his Heart Slight Shattered by Hearing the Voice of her Sadness) I promise I'll be more careful next time.
Peach: ('Sniff') R-R-Really?
Mario: (Rapidly Nodded with Determination in his Eyes) Of course. I-I know it's not gonna be easy, but I'm still gonna trying to do so for you and everyone in this mansion.
Peach: M-Mario, I....... (Slowly But Surely Begins to Smile a Little) Thank you....('Sniff') Thank you so much. (Starts Wiping the Tears off Her Eyes) I'll try not to worry as much as I used to anymore. I promise.
Mario: (Smiles Softly at His Princess) You don't have to do all of that for me.
Peach: I know, but I still wanna do this. It won't do me any good if I keep stressing myself out about it. I mean, I did almost tackle Sephiroth earlier today.
Mario: (Eyes Widened in Surprised) Wait. Seriously?
Peach: (Nodded Proudly) Yep! And I would do it again too if it means defending the honor of my Knight and Shining Armor~ (Winks at Mario)
Mario: (Chuckles Lightly) You really are something else, my dear~ I'm guessing it took a lot out of you, huh?
Peach: (Simply Shrugs) More or less.
Mario: (Gives Peach a Seductive Smirk on his Face) Well, if you like, I can be your stress reliever and give you all the love and cuddles you need~
Peach: (Smirks Back at Mario) You sure you wanna do that?~ We have been in this room for a while now.
Mario: (Shrugged) Yeah, but I don't really mind. (Smiles Brightly) I wanna do whatever I can make my beautiful princess happy again~
Peach: (Heart Begins to Melt in Pure Happiness as She Gives Mario a Loving Kiss on the Lips) ('Mmmwaaah') I love you so much, Mario~
Mario: I love you, Peach~ (Kiss Peach on the Lips) Thank you for always looking out for me~
Peach: Anything for you, my dear prince~
And with that, Mario and Peach begins to cuddle and snuggle the day away....That is until people call them to come down stairs for various reasons. Either way, they both come out of their bedroom while happily holding each other's hands.

Drabble: If RSE/ORAS got the Pokemon Origins treatment
Rso **Preface: this is mainly a draft of an idea I had while driving today. But I was thinking--what if our beloved Hoenn games got a miniseries anime? How would it play out, plot-wise and character-wise? Let’s find out!**
“Welcome to the world of Pokemon,” narrates a familiar voice. Various shots of Pokemon relaxing in their habitats throughout Hoenn flash by--a clan of Zigzagoon chase each other around the tall grass of Route 103; Lotad and Lombre bathe in a puddle as Sirskit and Masqerain buzz about; a troublesome Wurmple wakes a sleeping Slaking, which leads to impending chaos until a passing Shroomish’s spore lulls everyone back to sleep once more; Wingull fly above the sandy beaches of Petelburg city. These are brief glimpses into the world we are about to see, the adventure we are about to embark on. It is revealed that these images and the Professor’s narration are from a YouTube video playing on our protagonist’s PokeNav in the back of a moving van. The van’s door finally opens, and we see our protagonist’s face for the first time: a boy, about twelve, stands tall and stretches before running toward his new home. He’s ecstatic to begin his Pokemon journey!
The boy finds it difficult to help unpack while his mother directs a group of Machoke and Vigoroth to take boxes upstairs. The boy (we’ll call him Brendan) overhears his mom’s phonecall with Norman, his estranged father whose gym leader salary brought them this new life in Hoenn. Norman Brendan’s mom, Caroline, have been separated for a year, since Norman’s position as a Hoenn gym leader has made it tough to maintain a relationship with his family. Brendan hopes he and his mom reconcile their relationship. Caroline hangs up with Norman and advises Brendan to visit the home next door, as this region’s professor and his family live there. Brendan reluctantly obliges.
While on the way to the Birch’s, Brendan overhears a cry for help in the distance. He races to the edge of town where a child tells him the professor is being attacked by a wild Poochyena. Brendan rushes over to a frantic Birch, where he is told to reach inside his bag, grab a pokeball, and throw it. The pokemon that comes out is none other than Treecko. Thinking about what he learned from observing battles growing up in Johto, Brendan realizes this Pokemon likely knows Pound. He shouts to attack the Poochyena with a Pound, and it sheepishly runs away. Treecko looks at Brendan curiously, and nods in understanding. The professor approaches Brendan to thank him for saving him, and asks him to meet at his lab that afternoon.
On his way home, Brendan sees a girl about his age watering a playful Mudkip in her backyard, at the house next door. The girl’s eyes shimmered like the night sky. Her hair blew gently in the breeze, and her smile...oh, her smile...was contagious. Brendan realized he was staring when she catches his gaze, and waves him down. She introduces herself as the professor’s daughter, May, and asks if he has a pokemon. Brendan answers back that he has to meet the professor in his lab that afternoon, perhaps to get a pokemon and finally begin his journey. May offers to come with.
*******************************************************************************************
Ok so! It’s been a WHILE since I’ve written like this. It’s good practice to get back into a creative mindset, after all! Before I continue, some quick notes on character/what I foresee happening:
-This takes place in the non-megastone universe. Therefore, Mega-evolution does not exist.
-Brendan and May are equal protagonists. -Brendan is your typical go-getter. He was raised in Johto but often took trips to Kanto with his parents before they separated. Kindhearted, eager, ambitious and spirited, he aims to take on the Hoenn League and become the region’s champion. He has a complicated relationship with his father who he hasn’t seen since he was promoted to Hoenn gym leader, and much of the pressure Brendan puts on himself are to impress his dad. He has a crush on May, but he doesn’t realize it until later when she shows how much she cares for him. Brendan also befriends Wally, who looks up to him as an older brother figure. Brendan takes Wally under his wing and lets him learn battling from him. Brendan is generally good natured, but can get discouraged when he loses battles and especially when his loved ones and Pokemon are in danger. He also has a tendency to be sarcastic and witty, especially when he teases May or when he encounters Team Aqua/Team Magma. -As Birch’s daughter, May was always surrounded by Pokemon and fascinated by them, as well as the Pokemon-centric world she lives in. She is easily excitable, and finds joy in discovering new methods of battling, types of Pokemon, abilities, and trainers alike. She always carries a notebook with her to learn about the world around her and often asks for interviews after she battles someone, eager to learn as much as she can. May has two starter pokemon--it is revealed she has a Torchic she keeps at the lab as well as a Mudkip. She switches between them as her out-of-the-ball pokemon, and they have a friendly rivalry with one another for May’s attention. -May comes off as confident and carefree, but every time Brendan beats her in battle, she gets continually discouraged and downtrodden...though she doesn’t show it. She worries she won’t be able to keep up with him as he keeps advancing in his gym battle journey earning badges on the first go, while May often has to rematch gym leaders and try new strategies. She wonders if battling is really her thing, or if she should consider another option. May is afraid of following in her father’s footsteps as a researcher, as she has always wanted to create her own destiny with her Pokemon. Over time, May becomes less and less confident until she finally decides to head back to Little Root when she and Brendan meet up again in Lilycove. -While in Slateport, May and Brendan come across a popular Pokemon Contest Coordinator named Lysia and her Altaria. She invites them to participate in a contest with her, but Brendan’s heart is set on taking on the league. May decides to consider entering. -May admires Brendan’s drive, spirit, and ability to get along with any Pokemon or person. When they tag battle, they’re an unstoppable team! -May realizes she has feelings for Brendan when she sees him on TV at Sootopolis City. She leaves the dinner table in a huff, and commands her Altaria to fly her there...even if she wasn’t a great battler on her own, May knows Brendan needs her. And she needs him too. -When Brendan battles his father, he tries to reason with him and impress him with his battling technique. When Brendan beats him, Norman is cold and cunning, leading to a brutal argument between Brendan and Norman. Norman breaks down and admits he acts this way because he himself was afraid of failure. He realizes he failed his family by moving away and not being present in Brendan’s life. Brendan is not quick to forgive...he had been trying for so long to earn his father’s approval, but he realized too late that Norman was a coward. Brendan takes his badge and leaves. -While traveling together, Wally joins May and Brendan for a short time. -The end of the world scenario was fueled by both teams Aqua and Magma. May and Brendan encounter them at different parts of their journey, both together and apart. In Sootopolis, Kyogre and Groudon are fighting and wreaking havoc on the city. Steven Stone asks Brendan to call on Zinnea, a dragon lore keeper, to help resurrect the only force that can stop their fighting: Rayquaza. Brendan asks May to come with him, and together, they awaken Rayquaza. May uses combined tools and strategies she learned from her interviews to instruct Brendan on capturing Rayquaza, who finally puts an end to the whole ordeal. -Brendan’s final team: Sceptile, Aggron, Flygon, Wailord, Swellow, and Sableye. -May’s final team: Combusken, Mudkip, Altaria, Gardevoir, Raichu, Breloom More to come? Maybe! Just wanted to jot all this down. A lot of thoughts running through my brain tonight.

i’ll be putting jamie’s bio under the cut and also link it here , muse inspo can be found here and i think that’s all??
i’ll be heading straight into the starters tag and will try my best to read up on everyones’ info now xx
°✧。 [ lana condor, twenty-one, female, she/her ] ━ hey, I just saw [ james ‘jamie’ woods ] walking down the streets of crownsville. they’ve lived in town for [ their whole life ], and you can catch them around town working as a [ vlogger & dental assistant ]. I hear they’re known to be [ lively & reliable ] and [ impulsive & distracted ]. if asked, they would say their aesthetic would be [ walks on the beach, BBQs, glitter, snowball fights, laughing so hard there is no sound coming out ]. ━ [ ooc: sarah ,21, gmt+1, she/her ] °✧。
Jamie was born in Pleiku, Vietnam as Suong Dinh and lived there in an orphanage until she was adopted by her two dads when she was almost 2 years old; while they did change her name, her fathers were always very supportive and open when it came to her origins, making sure she knew where she came from and later supporting her when she tried to reach out to her family in Vietnam
her mother had given her up for adoption almost right after her birth since she’d still been a teen, barely able to provide for herself. at least that is what the orphanage had told jamie’s dads when they adopted her
growing up Jamie had always been a little whirlwind, she always had to try and discover new things and was never able to sit still for very long, she’s gotten slightly better at it, but is still constantly adding new things to and crossing things off her bucket list
the only one who seems to be able to calm her down no matter the situation, is her big brother connor, the two have always had a very close realtionship, being able to tell eachother everything that was on their minds and being extremly supportive of eachother. as a child when her dads had trouble setting her down to sleep, her big brother would have to come in and read to her out of one of the books he was reading at the time. these times are some of jamie’s fondest memories and something she still ends up asking him to do whenever she’s staying at his place now. only that now, she makes him read his own stories to her.
her high school years were filled with laughter and adventure and while she had to deal with racism and homophic people, she had never been the type to let these comments get her down. she had always been confident and the fact she never let herself get bothered by the comments of others and openly spoke her mind and called them out on their bs made it easy to find the right friends.
after high school jamie moved on to become a dental assistant, she’s often being asked how and why anyone would choose to work in this line of field, but other than ‘it’s fascinating’ jamie would not be able to tell you why she chose this path either, all she knows is that it’s fascinating and she loves to work in the dentist’s office
upon her request to study in Kennesaw, GA, her bother stepped in and offered to help out with the fees, something jamie is very greatful for but also promised to pay him back eventually (“i know you’ve got the money and want to help out and i love you and am super proud of you, but i will pay it all back and you can’t stop me. same way as i can’t stop you from paying them for me now big brother.”)
while living away from home, jamie also began to vlog. while there was a time when she looked up to youtubers and bloggers, this wasn’t the reason she started doing it. she already had made small videos and took about a million pictures to send connor when her brother first moved away because she had missed him so much and didn’t want him to feel left out, and now she was the one that left home. she wanted her family to still be able to know what she got up to in a more interesting way than just daily phonecalls, so she began to vlog her days. - after the first few videos she had sent back home, her best friend from high school convinced her to upload them to youtube, saying that “you put so much work into these little videos for us, it’d be a shame to only show them to us”, and so in an impulse she actually uploaded her videos.
over the course of the next few weeks, she began to gain more and more views, something she had never expected and was slightly terrifying at first. while she was impulsive and known to at times make big decisions within a heartbeat, jamie wasn’t stupid. yes she gained more views, and yes just before her final exams youtube reached out to her and gave her the opportunity to make money with her videos, but this all could end as soon and as fast as it had started, so jamie made sure to pass her finals first and get settled into a normal day job still
once she had graduated, jamie moved back to Crownsville, GA, and got a job there at one of the dentist offices, she’s settled in well, got her own apartment and can’t imagine living anywhere else
right at her graduation she picked up vlogging again, and now uploads her ‘daily’ vlogs twice a week, she’s gaining more and more followers which is crazy and slightly confusing to her
on top of that she’s currently also working on becoming an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

last trip home
[part 1]
The last thing she heard before the elevator doors shut, was a loud thump of something heavy hitting the wall in the apartment at the end of the hall. She didn't wait for the doors to slam shut. On her way to the car, she shrugged out of her coat, sick of wearing it for God only knows how long. She never noticed the bee that landed on the asphalt and crawled away, right under the wheels of a speeding truck, but jumped away, startled as it passed her, throwing a low curse after the driver. 'Asshole. This town is full of assholes,' she thought, trying to swallow the lump in her throat and the pain in her chest. Maybe it was time, to look for a new place. She started the car and went home, thinking about a bath and a bottle of wine stashed behind the dry muffin mix. She didn't have strength for anything else that evening.
Turns out, life wasn't as cruel as she thought it was, though the next morning, a phonecall dragged her out of fitful sleep and into a pounding headache. "Scully." She mumbled, not looking at the clock, eleven times out of ten it was Mulder. "Doctor Scully, my name is Ramin Shakari, I'm the chief medical examiner at the Boston Forensics Institute, we met at a conference in D.C., a few months ago?" The bells in her head started ringing a different song, she remembered the man, fifties, genuine smile, very tall. "Doctor Shakari, yes, I remember, what can I do for you." "I hope you'll forgive my calling like this because I know this is quite forward and not exactly protocol," the apologetic tone refreshed her memory better than a photograph, "but I spoke to AD Skinner this morning, and found out you're no longer with the bureau." ‘News travels lightning fast' she thought. "Yes, this is correct." "Can I ask, if you have any plans, concerning your future?" A gallon of water and a pound of Tylenol for starters, she thought, fighting the headache to stay focused. "This is a very recent development, I just began weighing my options." "Well then, may I present you with one more for consideration?" his tone turned cheerful, heavy accent boosting the effect. "Meaning?" "There's an opening at our institute, and I won't lie, your presentation made quite an impression on me an my colleagues, we would love to have a brilliant pathologist like you on our team." Scully's eyes went wide. "The terms are obviously negotiable, as are the benefits. Since I'm in town I'd love to meet with you, to discuss this matter in person, dr. Scully, should you be interested, without any obligations of course." A job offer, falling right into her lap, in Boston. Away from madness, away from conspiracies and alien viruses. It sounded suspiciously convenient, but it wasn't outside the realm of extreme possibility that Skinner would put in a good word for her. "This is quite sudden," she said, keeping her tone neutral, "but of course, we can meet." "I'm happy to hear that, would lunch be okay? Today?" She glanced at her nightstand, 9:15 am, her stomach rumbled. "Yes, lunch would be perfect." They exchanged cellphone numbers and having set the time and place, the man hung up, sounding quite pleased with himself. Scully sank back on the pillows and phone still in hand, caught herself, finger hovering over the worn out 1. He was her first thought, so first that he came even before the thought of calling him fully formed. Then last night came back and the words she said and believed in. He didn't need her, she only held him back. It was time to set Mulder free. The thought though, weighed her heart to the ground.

Avyan Immortal Dynasty, Chapter 4: Breathmints for All
Index
<- Previous
Since Gino’s night of fishing was a tremendous success, he’s taking some time off; called up a neighbor, one Mila Munch. She was with the welcome wagon when he moved in, and I guess he liked knowing there was someone closer to his own age in the neighborhood. Can’t blame him.
“No, I’ve never been a family man. The sea’s a lonely place… Sometimes, feels like a bit of a waste,” he’s explaining, still in his PJs of all things. Not that I’ve never done that; a good pair of PJs can get you through a whole day, right?
“It’s hardly a waste to do what you love!” She proclaims, fervently. “I try and tell my boys the value of a dedication passion, of going out into the wilderness (especially Gunther, who needs a little wilderness), of the value of hard work.”
“I don’t regret it, not exactly; kept me having the time of my life for years! But I’ll say you’ve got the gumption of any sailor, raising those boys on your own! There’s a lot of value of filling your life with people you love, giving them a guide in the world. It’s real swell you can do that.”
“Oh, you shameless flatterer,” she chuckles. “But now you’re closer to the city.”
“I’m doin’ more river-fishin’ these days. Better on the joints. Still got to get up early -- and the fish have to get up early to get past me!”
They both laugh about that for a while.
“I am to understand that Miss Avyan keeps a well-stocked bar,” she says, rising. “Let me pour you a drink; I have a taste for such things.”
“That would be nice.”
No, you can’t fault the old guy for wanting a friend.
Or more than a friend.
“...Mila. I’ll admit, I’m not the best talker in town. But I want you to know. If you could find the time… I’d really love it, if every so often, a beautiful, charming woman like you could stop by and spend some time with me.”
“I think you’re selling yourself short! There’s a lot to recommend, enjoying your time with someone with so many stories, who’s so… energizing, to be around. It’s important to spend time with...someone you care for.”
Well, I’m not going to eavesdrop after that. I think that, you know, unlike some men… He might just want someone in his life.
I’ve got my own accomplishments; some people were busy today; not that I’ll fault Gino his getting busy.
I was scoring a promotion, for starters. Been a long day, and I came out on top.
And since I am the champion, with a bit more cash to throw around…
Bam, house upgrade! ...It’ll look much better when we can slap a second floor up there. One simoleon at a time.
I worry about the new roomie there; it’s not normal for a guy to cry in his sleep. Well, he seems kind of lonely.
Oh, well. I mention it to Zest, just after he’d gotten a phonecall from Candy. He grins and clicks his phone off, casually tossing it to his opposite hand, and he says, “I’ll take care of it! I know just the thing to cheer a guy up.”
“A double-date! Breathmints for all.” “I could use some,” says Candy, staring pointedly at him. “I was really sick. This morning.” “Aw. Hope you feel better.” He orders breakfast.
...Zest is...sure something. And by ‘something,’ I mean ‘a person who is missing an unsubtle clue.’ I wasn’t there, but I can promise you:
He was missing her point.
Speaking of things getting missed...
“It’s so frustrating, seeing everyone with someone but you, isn’t it, Ulrike? It’s so annoying, when people are so public, right?” Akira asks, shooting a glance at the other couples enjoying breakfast. I’d heard he was a jealous type. “...I think a little romance is nice. There’s no need to get all worked up.” As Ulrike answered, there was the subtle noise of a chair scootching back. Swing and a miss there, Akira. Swing and a miss.
Well, while they’re off muddling about their time, I’m up and about and working my way through my skills.
Behold! With this tumbler, I’ve cleared another barrier, and onto my third stage of my mixology aspiration. I’ll need to have a social occasion soon.
“Sooo, when do we want for a wedding?” Miko asks, sidling up close to me on the couch while a culinary training video plays in the background. Ah, yes, another social event I need to think about.
“Well, we’re going to go for fancy dresses here, right? Guests are a must. I’ll bake a cake.”
“I want our toppers to be something cool! Maybe elves? Ah, no, a lady and a knight!” she said, waving a finger at her own change in suggestion. I chuckle.
“I’ll see if there’s a suitably cool and lady-like knight option.” Armor could make up the difference. “OK, so we’re going to need a lot of time, but… It’ll be hard for us to find time, for a while.”
“That’s true; we basically work opposite schedules. Every night, the moon comes and steals you away, just when I get home; and when you awake, I must depart! It’s all so very Ladyhawke... maybe you transform into a wolf.” The drama of her sigh is patently manufactured… But we both giggle anyway.
“I’m a kestral, aren’t I? So I’m the hawk here! We can’t afford to miss…”
“So we’re going to have to be patient, alright, babe? Until our next mutual day off.” It rankles a little to not be in control of my schedule. Oh, well.
In the meanwhile, we take what moments we can; little kisses as we wind down like this -- a brush of our fingers over a morning cup of coffee -- every time she turns, the urge to just reach out and grab her is irresistible. Maybe I really am a bird of prey.
“Hey, Kest?” Zest brings his breakfast out to the porch the next morning. “Zest.” I wait for him to explain the uneasy look on his face. “...So. I’ve got, I mean, haha, I guess it’s good news, but -- well, you know how no news is good news? This is news. Ha.” He pushes my perfectly good leftovers around on his plate. “... Maaike had a baby.”
“No kidding.” And the last horse crosses the finish line. I pour him a celebratory drink that we can take inside. “Congrats, poppa! What’s the scamp’s name?”
“Hobart... Haas.”
“...Hobart.” I ignore the worry in his voice over the kid’s last name not being his, born to another household and all, in favor of this series of wedgies laid out across this poor boy’s lifetime, which just so happened to take the form of a name. A name like Hobart. For entirely separate reasons, we stare off into a great middle distance.
“What should I do? I’m not ready to settle down! I don’t want to take care of a kid!” He bursts out, when I have adequately adjusted to the intense wave of nomenclature-based disappointment that washed over me. Hobart. I ponder my approach here.
“Jonathan Zest --”
“When you say it like that, it doesn’t sound like Jonathan should even be a name,” Zest interjects. “Sounds like you made it up, even though it’s my name. Weird, right?”
“You have a choice,” I ignore this other name vortex into which I am being pulled. “You either be sweet to that girl, do right by her… Or. You don’t. You let her worry about her business -- you have fun having yours. You let it go. Let it all go.”
He doesn’t tell me his answers in words, so much. But he’s not ready for one girl. He won’t worry, and the choice is immediate.
Best of luck, I guess.
I’d like to call your attention to something.
That is a man eating a raw lemons. He just eats two raw lemons and goes back to fishing. What a nightmare.
He needs a break. He really does. I worry about how many more angelfish we can get out; he’s only got the one, and all, but if having Mila over to chat about fishing, and cooking, and what looks like a nice little baby bump she’s got going there. I think I heard them talking about names -- hopefully, they go with some of they better ideas, like ‘Julian,’ so we don’t have to contemplate another Hobart.
He’s not the only person with a guest, though. Akira invited Ulrike over to apologize for the other day. “I am sorry,” he explains. “I just meant… Well, I want something wonderful, and special, and perfect. I can get a little rough sometimes about it. But also like gestures like this to be intimate. Personal, and private, and without anything in the way.”
“Just like this. Isn’t this nice?” “It is,” and Ulrike relaxes, melts into him.
So he’s finally making some progress.
There’s something funny about it, though. I go to work. I come back from work. I am immediately dragged by Catarina out to karaoke, all the household’s young people. I grumble, because I am tired enough to pass out right there on the sidewalk, but…
I may just know a girl who loves karaoke like I love the satisfaction of being right, and so, there we go.
And Akira, for a guy who just got a girlfriend, looks like he’s fit to tear out his hair. Weird. We more or less scatter after that.
Zest talks to Catarina, but I’m going to save you a lot of time and tell you to just put a pin in it, it goes nowhere right now.
Akira gets closer to somewhere, entering in a private room with just one occupant: this married lady, Anaya Jang.
“Don’t you want something more? Something that leaves you completely satisfied, someone that feels really, truly yours? I… I want that. I just can’t believe --” He breaks off, his body tensing “I can’t believe your husband can give you that. But I think I can. I want that. Do you?”
“I want it like I want a grilled cheese sandwich.”
This gives him a moment of pause, the romantic tension of the moment broken.
“...Is that a lot?” He just had sort of been picturing a metaphorical hunger up until this point, if I had to guess.
“It is.”
“...We’ll see about the sandwich later, then,” he says, managing what I would call an A+ attempt to sound seductive about grilled cheese.
And as for me…
I tell Miko to pick the songs; frankly, I will be happy if I can stand upright through the whole thing. The music started, and a microphone lands in my lap.
“It’s a duet. You’ve got the first part, OK?” She asks. I sigh with mock reluctance, nod, and get into the rhythm. Her face lights up.
“Don’t go breaking my heart.” “I couldn’t if I tried.” “Oh honey, if I get restless --” “Baby, you’re not that kind.”
We share a little smirk over the role reversal there, as if I were the one to worry about getting restless. But we can chuckle about it, and let the song wash around us. I try my best to keep up, and I’d say I do a pretty good job -- one day, I’ll beat her. You’ll see. For now, though, I’m content to just watch the smile on her face until I’m about dead on my feet.
#sims 4#The Sims 4 Gameplay#The Sims 4 Dynasty#The Sims 4 Story#The Sims#immortal dynasty challenge#The Avyan Immortal Dynasty#crosspost#All Karaoke is represented by this briefly becoming a songfic#I am not capable of apologizing#I say to convince myself not to lol#Me deftly manueving my desire to have townies reproduce#Also my version of Akira becomes kinda scummy#Tune in next time to see why I decided this was his character in this game now.

“You’re really not coming back this weekend?” norah ⟶ tommy
LONG DISTANCE SENTENCE STARTERS
anyone looking at tommy in that moment would have been able to see the pain painted all over his face. he hated moments like this, having to let norah down when she had been so good at coping with him so far away. he had almost put off making the phonecall, but he thought better of it, the two of them always handled things like this together, and he owed her all the honesty in the world. it was his own fault he shouldn’t have made promises that he wasn’t going to be able to keep, but it had been so long now. he was almost certain it was the longest the two of them had spent apart regardless of whether or not they were in a relationship at the time. that was the problem with falling in love with your best friend it seemed. he just missed her twice over when she wasn’t at his side.
“i’m sorry,” he spoke, cringing at the sound of the other’s tone on the otherside of the phone. “i tried... god norah i really just want to come how, but adam’s booked this interview and you know what he’s like claiming it’s a once in a lifetime deal,” right then tommy had every want to tell his manager that he could stick his interview up his ass if he didn’t get back to his girl soon, but that wasn’t how this worked. if he was going to get his dream he had to work for it, regardless of the personal cost. “it’s just gonna be a few more weeks ok baby, then the whole tour will be done and i’ll be home so long that you’ll get sick of me,” the thought almost made him laugh, as if they had ever been like that with each other. “you’ll be so busy working this weekend you won’t even notice i’m not there i just... i need you to hold out just a little longer and then i swear to god i’ll make it up to you,”

SHE WANTED TO SAY THAT SHE COULDN’T BELIEVE THE CHOICES MADE RIGHT NOW, but that would be far too easy. it was believable. though she was firm in pushing that fact away to the side as if it was the farthest from the truth. ‘ i’m about twenty minutes away. probably sooner. ’ throwing in that little piece of information was key. for her own sake. she’d need all the time in the world to situate herself and her daughter. this was a random chance she was taking. as it was random that a former current on-and-off lover’s relative would be calling her, asking her to stop by. certainly, it was no issue seeing as new york was only a few hours from boston. a few hours too long when you have a child and you haven’t seen someone in some months. besides, he had no inkling of her arrival to his childhood home. THIS SHOULD BE FUN. always was and always ended in a conversation of the future. but was it really a thought of things to come ? NO. but scarlett tended to push yet another aspect of her life aside to remain grounded and the one in control. she had to.
‘ see you soon. ’ the phonecall had finally ceased. scott was always a man of many, MANY words. and in between his continued spewing, she had managed to smile after speaking whtin him. must be a perk of the EVANS bloodline. the drive through the city that never sleeps was rough. never fails. the traffic alone would make a driver go crazy but once the scenery changed from tall towering buildings to a plethera of earthy tones of reds and oranges, scarlett forgot all about what she had left behind for the night. boston was beautiful. a place that could have been and SHOULD be addressed as one of the world’s wonders. although, it was not her home by any stretch, if FELT as though she had known this place all her life. the thought, it causes her lips to curl and a warming sensation to course through her entire frame. SHE WAS HOME.
‘ baby, make sure the goodies are okay. keep them safe. ’ eyes focus in the rearview mirror at her daughter in her car seat. tiny hands doing their best work making sure the storebought desserts were settled securely. ‘ i can’t believe i let you talk me into getting red sox cupcakes. ’ she laughs, shaking her head. but she can believe it. her daughter wanted to pick them out for chris. rose was always so keen on making the bostonian happy. sugary treats or not, it was without fail. ‘ he’s going to love the rwings, mommy. ’ head poking out of a bunded sweater, with bright eyes watching back at scarlett’s eyes in the squared mirror. ‘ he really will. ’ confirming the toddler’s choice was right, head nods in agreement. she has no doubts that she’s making a good choice to visit him and his family. his brother wouldn’t let her think anything but. he continued with notions that his older brother was lonely and had been for way too long. even after being surrounded by thousands upon thousands of anticipating fans. he could be surrounded by bodies, words of admiration thrown in every which direction, people fawning at his feet and yet the man was still lonely in mind and heart. she knew the feeling all too well. chris and her, they were one in the same in a myriad of ways. sometimes, she despised knowing that.
car now rounding the corner of the suburban home’s spiraling driveway. the destination only a few feet away yet it seemed like more than the miles she had traveled to get to this point. ‘ we’re here, love. ’ turning her head, she’s alerting her eager child as the vehicle comes to a complete halt, now parked. fingers swipe slowly along the screen of her iphone. too slowly because her brain can’t wrap around that they’re at this AGAIN. without any further waiting, scott is skipping down the front porch’s miniture staircase. there’s some pop in his step and a grin spread across lips. eyebrows raise but maybe he’s just happy to see a familiar face.

Party event explanation
So, here’s a little explanation on our upcoming event! I want to start it on Thursday. I’ve made a mini scenario for every character for the party. I tried to give everyone equal drama. Now, this is just one mini scenario, so you don’t have to interact with just the person that is in your scenario. You can make starters, reblog others and see where else you can take it.
For example, are you drunk on drugs? You can go insane with your conversations with everyone and plot where it goes. But wait, what if you're smoking somewhere in the room with just one person? Then you can still write your convos on before you got there. Or maybe people come in when you are trying to put out the fire you caused. Or you call your best friend for help. Are you locked up? No problem, because besides the convo with the person you got locked up with, you could be texting people downstairs like ‘please help us’. Or maybe you were just in the middle of a private phonecall and the other person is wondering what’s happening.
The possibilities are endless, so you definitely don’t have to interact just with the person in your mini scenario. Use this drama as an inspiration and make it extra dramatic on the dash when you interact with others. You can use this as a little bit of help to plot with members you haven’t made plots with too!
I have the post with our event scenario’s in the queue, which publishes at Thursday 6am EST. So once you see it, you can start posting! I want to end the event at the end of Sunday. If you need more or less time, we’ll discuss it in the ooc blog!

@incubabe ♥’d for a starter
Come over, Nat had said, I miss you, she’d said. It had been a hurried phonecall that Tasha barely remembered having when it had happened but there was nothing more certain than it happening. She could see Riley heading towards her apartment from the spot in her window she was perched. It would be a lie to say that she was entirely in her right mind. She was tired beyond recognition but Riley’s face still stood out amongst the crowd of people walking by. God, she was beautiful. And dangerous. And she still felt like some iteration of home when Nat made her way back to the dark, lonely apartment in the city. She was at the door before she heard the knock, pulling it open and looking a little sheepish.
‘ You didn’t have to come over right now. I shouldn’t have called you - I hope you weren’t busy, Riles. I’m sorry. ’

Do you think we'll see Dean and Jody discuss Cas? Does Jody even know Cas exists? They told her s8 angels exits and she was claire but still i thibk textually they never mentioned his name around her? Im guessing they are gonna discuss Deans feeling about Mary since Jody knew her but Cas?
I don’t know, which I know I say to like basically all questions about speculation but this one is something I don’t really have a clue about and I’m not even sitting on my thumbs pretending not to have an opinion because I’d rather not say anything on the record until I know I’m right or not… I really, genuinely, to the best of my ability to sound it all out and guess from the available information, don’t know :P
It depends how they handle Cas being gone overall, whether Dean’s openly, loudly mourning him all the time every episode constantly, which is a detail where I’d only be able to offer you a confident speculation on the eve of this episode anyway after seeing the first 2. If Dean goes stoic and jaw-twitchy but quiet about it then probably not but that’s just like… super obvious and short term.
In the mean time, please assume the tin foil hat position you’d take to listen to a conversation that sounds like this:
There’s quite a lot to pack in with meeting Patience, and getting our guys some good face to face time with Jody for any emotional support they need to sponge off her. Sam doesn’t seem to be around so he may be off with Jack, but if he wasn’t, he’d probably want to learn how to be a mom to him from Jody, for all we know :P Thematically it might sort of be that way anyhow - if Patience doesn’t come in direct contact with Sam it seems ridiculously unlikely she’s not going to be thematically connected to him and therefore Jack through an extremely easy join the dots between 13x03 and 1x09. (Sam already kinda went one round with this sort of thing in 12x04 so in a way he’s got his booster shot of dealing with it directly so it can just be storytelling mirrors for him :P)
Certainly Jody is more connected to Mary symbolically and in general the Wayward Sisters stuff has been more about parenting and those dynamics recently, with 11x12 looking at how Jody copes and teasing us with hindsight for Mary’s return with Dean talking to her about wishing his mom had been around, and in 12x06 and 12x22 she and Mary sort of bounce off each other as moms directly in a continuation of that - in 12x16 she’s not around except on the other end of phonecalls but Dean’s carrying on parenting Claire as a hunter a lil bit.
Of all of those, 11x12 was the only one to make a nod to Cas with Claire holding grumpy cat in one of her scenes, but the show has decided to treat him a lot as just the inciting incident to get her onto the road hunting by dragging her into the life, while Dean does the thing he does around feisty wayward teenagers, and probably was mostly responsible for switching Claire’s amateur detective attempt onto a hunting thing in 10x20. I don’t want to make Claire cringe but I think she thought he was actually kinda cool and inspired her or something, because she had not had any interest in the supernatural side of things before that episode…
Despite all her connections to Cas I think Dean sort of birthed hunter!Claire, so the story sort of wanders that direction and leaves Cas behind because he’s more like Azazel in Claire’s story than anything, even if a very sad soft squishy Azazel who gave her a stuffed toy for her birthday :P Still they played it like her forgiving and hugging Cas was about the same as Dean finally getting to shoot Azazel, in both case freeing them to go do their job with the angsty backstory resolved…
In any case, I think Cas is probably an emergency contact Jody has for Claire-related stuff, although whether they told her to or not, she’d probably always call Sam and Dean first because she knows and understands them (and has met them), and I think the story is asking us to believe that with this symbolism of Claire getting past what Cas did to her family, she’s in a new stage of life he’s not a part of in the same way even if she does cling onto grumpy cat, and Cas is still family to people who consider Jody as family, who she considers family. Sort of shunting him from awkward dad no. 3 of 4 as per 10x20′s recap and symbolism to a weird uncle or something. (Although if Jody has mom symbolism to both Claire and Dean, that makes them siblings and Cas her brother in law… this found family stuff is really difficult :P)
So there’s all that shaping my expectations - Claire’s not in the episode and she’s our connection between Cas and Jody. Previous episodes have made it clear that Sam and Dean really hate calling even beloved friends with their shit and don’t tell Jody alarmingly huge things like that Mary came back from death. She’s been offering a shoulder to Dean personally while he’s been going through all his stuff, and in 9x08 I think Sam did open up to Jody more than Dean even when they were all in the same room, never mind in that and 7x12 they got split up from Dean and actually bonded (And I think this is also a quote from Kim Rhodes but also just something fairly obvious, that because Sam was the one connected to her more in her intro episode and ended up shooting her zombie son for her, they’ve always had a closer emotional bond via shared trauma).
I don’t think it’s showing that Sam and Jody aren’t as close now to have her switch focus to Dean but that Jody is determined to get Dean to open up to her *too*. In 12x06 they have really different attitudes about her when Sam makes the comment about Dean’s “animated Japanese erotica” which show how they’ve grown in different directions with Jody. So I think Sam’s closeness to her is fairly accepted fact and now Dean’s the tough nut to crack for her :P Anyway she’s made the offer two or three times now that she’s there to talk if Dean in particular needs her (definitely 10x08 and 12x06… Can’t remember if she said as much in 11x12 although they did also have an actual personal conversation in that episode, so one point to Jody there). I think 12x06 made it clear there’s still an owed conversation of greater than that opening up and spilling the beans on what’s making him emo right now, so there’s that.
And Cas and Mary have been connected all through season 12, in their arcs, in the subtext, in basically everything, and Dean textually named that in 12x22 that in the start of the season he’d “got Cas back, got Mom back” and in 12x23 of course he loses both, again, in a highly inter-connected way, and so again they’re going to be parallel lines to him, though again I think showing how he feels differently about one and the other and hopefully we get to unpack what those individual losses mean by the way of having both at once (and Crowley, who often in these cases is included to put a finger on the scale :P).
One of the things confusing me right now is of last night’s behind the scenes set peeking which revealed a Turducken Slammer relaunch from the ever-hopeful Biggerson’s, which is not letting frequent murder and mayhem and dodgy meat recalls on its premises stop it from trying. Even if it’s as overall irrelevant to the story in the sense of being mentioned or actually explored as the Mystery Spot sign in 12x01, it’s still telling us something and making connections. I mean yeah it can just be worldbuilding continuity but it’s always picked for a reason and they know what all these signs mean and how to connect them, which is why we have the beer language for example.
And Jody is pretty deeply connected to season 7 and Dean’s arc. And this connection was obliquely referenced in 12x06 in that moment I already mentioned, where Sam outs Dean’s porn habits to Jody. It was a nod from Yockey that he’d watched past Jody episodes because in every way it was a season 12 style rehash of Sam’s “strictly into Dick” comment, which was from a Jody episode. And… look, maybe this is the best way to explain how I felt the season 12 references were kind of out of this world in their scope and intelligence :P
For starters, that comment was not just a run of the mill Dick joke, that was a Robbie level Dick joke, which collected up a hilarious character thing for Sam (his fucked up moment when he should have made the barb, his determination to hang onto the Best Zinger Of His Life until Dean next gave him an opportunity and bless Sam’s cotton socks he delivered it like a pro :P) and Dean’s spiralling obsession with Dick as a Dick or Anime thing. Dean’s anime-watching was from 7x01, when he was waiting for Godstiel to blow up the planet in despair, and was at just about the lowest point we’ve ever seen him. In 7x02 Bobby gives him the “You just lost your best friend” pep talk, which is a role of comforting parental figure Dean then went and lost that season when Bobby died. And in the end of 7x02 Dean reveals how Not Fine he is to Bobby’s answerphone, which is important that it’s never commented on again but I think affects how Bobby treats him and in the subtext of 7x09 you have to know all that happened.
In 7x09 Bobby’s on his farewell tour of comforting advice to his adopted sons, in the last great set of retconning episodes to embed him permanently into their backstory as having always been there for them, to make it hurt juuust that much more than it already does. Towards the end of the episode he has another talk with Dean that mirrors advice Dean will get from Frank and Ness in 7x11 and 7x12, and *that* is opened up by Dean getting drugged by the turducken slammer and going on about how he doesn’t care about how he doesn’t care, and that he feels great for the first time since Cas and the black goo. Like, wow, his depression and hurt and betrayal didn’t go anywhere just because he said he was fine, who knew :P
And that’s the backstory to Dean’s obsession over killing Dick, who has taken everything from him by this point in season 7, told through the medium of anime and sandwiches and somehow always ending up about Cas and Dean’s feelings for him. The anime was an attempt to not care and not think about it that the slammer actually inflicted on Dean, and was used to get Dean to tell us how he really felt. By 7x12 it’s a joke for Sam to make implying Dean’s into lowercase dick, with one of those false binaries the show loves making. And like in season 13 Dean’s lost a love interest and a parental figure, and now things are really blurry about which one hurts more in this short run of episodes before they both reappear in the narrative and make it confusing. 7x11 makes the hurt most about Bobby. 7x12 subtextually tells us rather a lot about Cas, especially by making a Bobby figure to contrast in the background with the lady in the shop who literally calls Dean an idjit at some point, I think, or some other Bobby-ism, to make it clear that Ness is definitely not standing in for that and all those Cas parallels are probably where it’s at while Dean fangirls over him :P
And nope I’m not even done unpacking the Yockey Robbie Edlund turducken because of course JODY is all tied up in this completely. She’s incidentally in 7x02 as a useful local beloved character who can get menaced by Dr Sexy and let them know there’s leviathan nearby, and so she’s pretty embedded in the early Leviathan worldbuilding. Of course Edlund being Edlund, while the lil girl leviathan is channel surfing for ideas, there’s a Biggerson’s advert, I think the same one that plays in 7x03 or 7x22 about their pie salad bar (it’s like a salad bar, but pie!) and in the end she lands on wanting to be a Dr Sexy when she grows up.
(Stop me when you think this might somehow subtextually be about Dean :P)
The Dr Sexy leviathan has an amusingly childlike view on being a surgeon as a result of forming its opinions on that job while being a little girl, and apparently not listening to the memories of the poor guy it ate except to get a frightening knowledge of anatomy. It very much acts the part of being a doctor on TV who can just wheel patients off to perform unnecessary surgery, as per the malpractice of our favourite sexy doctor on TV - and there’s a thing to contemplate about “I’m not a doctor, I just play one one TV” but that’s digressing :P But it goes and menaces Jody and Bobby goes and saves her, and Robbie brings her back 2 more times in season 7, once in 7x06 to thank Bobby for saving her, and to link them romantically so she can even more handily take over the parental role by being romantically linked to their adopted father, which is just a sort of easy association to help. And in 7x12 of course she’s just there and helping and mourning Bobby a lil bit with Sam (since Dean was the one in the focus for mourning Bobby in 7x11), drinking his dubiously won scotch from 11x16 (… Rufus didn’t have to let him have that one, Bobby WAS insisting it was a ghost :P I think he just wanted Bobby to have a win after seeing how down he was.) But that IS a Jody episode so it would have been on Yockey’s list for homework for 12x06 and it contained the anime/Dick thing.
And, if he’d watched the deleted scene, at the end of the episode Dean makes it clear that he’s not sitting alone in the dark watching anime, he is strictly into Dick, and goes and reads an article on Dick “erecting” a tower.
(I hope it is clear how much I love the Dick references in season 7 by now and I’m not sorry, they started it :P)
So yeah. Jody is already intrinsically linked into a ridiculous chunk of the Dean/Cas subtext from season 7, the absolute wild nonsense that Edlund and Robbie were messing around with with pie and turducken and Dr Sexy and anime and Dick, to create the absolutely most ridiculous, like… no one part of it on its own in isolation doesn’t make you cry laughing, bit of storytelling (that, of course, added up into a full picture, just makes you cry a lot in earnest for poor Dean right then).
To me this is the picture of Dean mourning Cas in season 7, and the unique elements to season 7 are the anime (already referenced in season 12 just as an aside and I don’t think as anything more than a witty reference to past canon except that Dean was “kinda bummed” about Cas being gone (and don’t worry, I’m getting to Berens :P)) and the turducken, and Jody as one of the key characters wandering through all this picking up the emotional baton from Bobby, which she has been attempting to use on them ever since season 9, when they got back in contact with her after neglecting her all of season 8.
(And, oh gosh, I stared out the window to try and collect my thoughts for the next paragraph and washed up on thinking about Sam going and crashing out on Jody over the Dean in Purgatory period instead of hitting a dog and ending up with Amelia, like Dean with Lisa except by the time Dean gets back Sam’s probably been whipped into shape and is wandering around Sioux Falls in a deputy uniform…)
Anyway yeah, to go back to 13x03 finally… If the Turducken sign isn’t portentous of anything, I’m still seeing the Gas n Sip sign, in the maroon colours rather than blue one, but still, in a Berens episode. And if you can’t get mourning Cas in season 7 via Jody and a turducken related things to stick, you can totally shortcut through the fairly simple steps of Berens + Gas n Sip = 9x06 and assume whatever personal feelings stuff Dean and Jody talk about, this is a great way to cram Cas into the background via the enormous glowing yellow sun that has come to represent him. (And, of course, it was Berens who had the “morning, Sunshine” line for us in 12x03.)
So I think the set stuff and character stuff all have some fairly good slap to the back of the head things for Dean to maybe open up to Jody or at the very least for whatever he says to her to be heavily subtextually about Cas even if Jody asks about Mary. Because Dean’s wearing weirdly Cas-coded clothes, and Jody is wearing the family unity red n blue plaid colours. The maroon Gas n Sip seems to be more about family and even Wayward Sisters, since it was prominently used behind Claire in 12x16 and maroon has been a lot about family because of the infamous red hoodie that Kevin, Charlie and Cas all wore, and that Mary was put in maroon within an episode of getting back (and Chuck tried to cash in on it in 11x21 to make himself look harmless and cute and relatable in the same hoodie). But even in 12x16 having the Gas n Sip sun looking over Claire, with her connections to Cas, made it seem like he was watching over her too. The colours change the meaning in some ways but the overall message is the same. I think in 13x03 we have to remember it’s also going to be about the Wayward Sisters so whether Jody and Dean are having a personal conversation or not, the sun might be about Cas but the overall thing might be a more neutral family building thing for the main arc stuff. If it was a blue Gas n Sip I’d immediately think it was all about Cas and oozing tragic subtext *everywhere* and completely unavoidably.
(it might also just be that they’re maroon because Biggerson’s are and maybe there’s some sort of corporate alliance of Gas n Sips connected to Biggerson’s, because, after all, Dick Roman ended up owning both franchises and by 7x23 you can see that both are involved in his masterplan, which is part of why I love so much Cas is then intimately connected to both later while still in a gloomy penance mood about the whole thing and everything he’s ever done since…)
… So to actually answer your question, I can see some really really convoluted reasons in the history of the show that if Dean and Jody have their big important “seriously how are you” talk in this exact location while hanging out and hugging in front of all these signs, that they might either not mention Cas at all because he’s not a part of the openly stated story going on between Dean and Jody and all this family stuff and Wayward Sisters and everything absorbed into the entire chunk of the show about parental relationships, of which Jody has been a part since 7x06 thanks to Robbie. Or it’s a part of the emotional backstory to Dean losing Cas which Edlund kicked into high gear in 7x02 while dibsing all the important Dean and Bobby conversations which shine a light on Dean’s loss and Cas, also dragging Jody into a ridiculous web of Dr Sexy and stuff that Robbie and then much much later Yockey were playing around with.
Either way,

starter for @scrcndipty location: outside of a club/bar?
rina had been spending her last three weeks without any communication with her ‘best friend’. she would meet individually their other friends to chat a bit but she would always avoid junho. and the one time that he happened to come when she was with the other common friends , as soon as he came she simply left without saying a word. for the past week though, things have picked up for her. she had already stopped crying over her broken heart and was already taking advantage of her free nights to go out and meet people. and just five days ago she met jongsuk. he was the definition of humor. he made her laugh so much that she didn’t have time to think about junho when she was with him. that was why for the past five days, every night they would go out for drinks or just to a club to dance together. and quite frankly rina had even started to be conflicted because she had started liking his company more than she had expected.
that night though things were a bit out of her control. jong suk had invited her to watch a movie and after that they were going to go back at his place. rina made sure to be prepared for anything. a man and a woman alone in a room ... anything coul happen. that was why she wore one of her sexiest dresses and lingerie that would certainly drive him crazy. yet after the movie finished she received a phonecall from a drunk junho asking her to go and take him home. of course the first thing she did was shout at him but then she asked where he was and politely asked jongsuk to go with her so she could help her friend.
upon arriving she saw where he was and it felt like something had just struck her heart with a hammer. this was when she held jong suk’s hand more tightly. “yah stupid! how much did you drink?” she asked him and went to his side to help him. “did you call anyone else? i don’t think you believe i will be able to piggy back you or anything of that sort. jong suk, the younger male , also joined rina mostly because he wanted to see if he could be of any help to them. “can you walk mister? rina should we just call a taxi for him?” and rina nodded. “good idea. junho we will call a taxi instead!”

Argh, the thing on my mind after watching 11x19 is that it and 11x11 each have such specific relevance to one particular Winchester per episode when it comes to the little mini arc set up in 11x04 where Sam asks Dean about something with someone in the life.
11x11 and Eileen seem specifically about Sam, romantically, and Dean is even paired off quite blatantly with Mildred, the most excellent "romantic false lead" ever to show us the two of them being paired off and Mildred even intervening to let them have alone time after vicariously shipping them together herself as a way of ascertaining Eileen's interest in Sam (I mean... I assume so, if you guess she's super canny and kindly about being very manipulative, and she literally drags Dean away from Sam and Eileen at one point :P). Eileen is also very compatible thematically to Sam as someone he can reflect on as well as attach to... She has similar mental landscape to Sam, with the cold open showing something happening to her while she was in her crib, a life-long thing to hunt, getting revenge but not going to a law career, etc.
She was very clearly someone fitting the description of what Sam had been wondering about in 11x04. She's very clearly a mirror and parallel to him, as well as someone who represents what he actively wants, because I really don't think you can pair the 11x04 conversation and Sam stashing a retirement home leaflet as being JUST Sam planning for his future. That's a ridiculous romantic keepsake that reminds him of that excellent day, because Eileen did not have the presence of mind to give him a freakin' lock of her hair or something more appropriate than stealing a pamphlet on the way out the door of the retirement home...
In 11x19 Jesse and Cesar are a bit more of an abstract example for Dean, but show him basically what he could take away from all this - he dismisses Sam in 11x04 asking him about it all, but in 11x19 he's so surprised he derails their discussion of the monster to croak out his question about what's it like settling down with a hunter, as if seeing for the first time. (I mean, seriously, I haven't re-watched in ages, I'm amazed at how creaky and off-guard he sounds as he asks after seeing it in gifsets mostly since then...) Then someone else has to interrupt back onto the monster exposition dump they'd been in the middle of until Dean (of course) managed to blurt out enough words to make Cesar be like, come on babe, this is going to be so awkward, I'm just going to tell him, and Jesse scowled like, fine but don't blame me if they hate us, and Cesar was like, nah this guy is cool, just... going to randomly reveal we're married to him like, I toootally don't feel a comfortable level of kinship with this dude or something hahaha that would be ridiculous (sorry, that pretend inner monologue turned into me being snarky >.> There's no characterisation consistency in my rambling :D)
So Dean and Sam are split up again and Jesse represents some pretty different emotional stuff to Sam, dealing with the brother stuff and all that (just like Mildred dealt more with the retirement and old age theme to Dean of making him long for a sunset without necessarily bringing in romantic connections unless you're me and have the Gas n Sip logo tattooed on your eyelids), while Cesar and Dean mostly just hunt and bond a bit. They very specifically have a conversation about revenge on the drive to it, which reflects Eileen's parting comments about the hunt feeling no different despite it being her revenge resolution hunt (meaning she continues hunting, as Sam does, though with a tease that they could come together and bear the life together... I'm just... not thinking outside of season 11 right now okay). Both Jesse and Eileen get on-screen origin stories and their revenge on the monster that caused them, but Jesse and Cesar get to have a happy ending and drive off into the sunset because they have each other and a firm understanding of when they can stop hunting and knowing when it's all over. Sam stashed the leaflet about the retirement home in his box of special things, but as 11x19 ends as well with them still having looming work to do, they just can't think about packing it in quite yet, though the point is made in both, that this is the discussion on the table - hunter endgames.
Dean's understanding of Cesar's relationship with Jesse and the understandings they have and Cesar's read of it founded ON the revenge thing and "peace when you are done", to borrow from the road so far song, is what informs his decision not to ask them to help with fighting Amara at the end. His interpersonal arc with Cesar was much more openly muted than Sam and Jesse having the emotional encounter with the old sheriff and the very obvious links with Jesse yelling about his brother, which makes parallels that on this show can always be read from space when someone says "brother". It leads Dean to the important decision of understanding what to do about letting them go raise their horses in peace. Dean is personally connected to the side of the story about their marriage, and split off with Cesar who is just married into the revenge mission whose only connection to care about it is because of what it's doing to his husband, and not for his own sake.
Essentially, the fact they were married hunters is presented to surprise Dean (and he's seen married, heterosexual, hunters before so that question may have been answered honestly by Cesar just to the pressures of marriage in a dangerous crappy job, but seems to mean with Dean asking, wait, you can MARRY another MALE hunter what the heck i never even - ) and he's the one who asks (and since Jesse is surly and untrusting as a result of the discrimination of this town (and in both episodes understanding is presented as belief in monsters - Mildred is good because she already saw a ghost and is willing to believe... Jesse is living a metaphor where the town's intolerance is both of him being gay AND the fact he kept saying he saw a monster - the intolerance metaphor is soubled down on by the sheriff and his reaction to discovering his daughter was taken, and I hope the point of the metaphor was that the chitter monsters were how intolerant people SAW gay people *from their perspective* of it being so bad you'd disown and never talk of it etc). Cesar, the one linked to Dean more - I mean he even saved him for starters and it was Dean sent off into the woods to make first contact with him by a fortuitous phonecall, though if there was nothing going on on a higher narrative level Sam could have just have easily done that). Dean's the one split off on the side of the story about their marriage with Cesar again, and he's the one who makes the judgement call about them being allowed to go settle down and have some peace and safety together.
Cesar in basically every way does as a side-character function for Dean what Eileen does for Sam. Except the obvious second level remove here with him already being married, and the fact that Dean is also un-pairable in 11x11, hence Mildred, who by being romantically interesting to Dean (look, they watch a sunset together, you don't have to ship them or think they actually would ever - but that's a romantically coded moment and he has a big heart so it's still a Thing even if it's a go-nowhere thing. It's a thing Sam could later tease him about and Dean would blush and smile fondly about Mildred's attention even if he had no intention of hooking up with her...) kinda has the opposite but identical effect of a sexy hookup where there's no romance, just a fling. Mildred was absolutely Dean's meaningless girl of the week if you wanna be technical about her role there :P Anyway in both cases Dean just sees and experiences, and in his specifically tailored episode on this theme, he only sees an example of what he could have, not as Sam sees, someone who could very easily be that exact endgame.
Because, as Mildred says, Dean was very obviously pining for someone else.
And Dean's personal relationship and retirement introspection episode comes wedged in after 11x18, where he's just lost Cas to Amara in a sort of ridiculously painful doubling down on how *much* he's lost Cas, even in spite of Amara's presence... And soon we will get the direct testing of these rival bonds... But that's a whole other web of meta on the main arc relationship parallels which I spent all of season 11 and most of the hiatus after mired in, so I think we're good here :P
