absolutely no rush on this, idle blorbo thought that rolled around: how would Dawn/Dusk react to seeing Robin coming into work, or joining them on a mission, looking under-the-weather? the kind of level where a person might try to shrug it off but is 100% going to bite them hard afterwards

Given that I am not feeling my best, I'm tackling this ask now and afterwards I'm going to nap this migraine away fr. Some (mild) caretaking coming up!

Neither of them likes seeing Robin come in just-slightly-sick-but-it's-fine-really. But, depending on where they are with their rivalry, there's not much they can do about it.

Dusk has the stronger case, and in the case of an actual field mission he'll put his foot down and, if necessary, strong-arm Robin back to their office. There is no way he's letting them parkour if they're not feeling their best - what if a coughing fit hits them mid-jump, or they zone out a bit just as they land and fall flat on their face? No way, he'd rather not have to explain that to the higher ups. If it's bad enough that he notices, it's bad enough to keep them away from the field. Will threaten of making a scene and involving Agent River - and by then Robin would cave. They don't want negative attention, so they'll begrudgingly accept that it's a paperwork kind of night only. He's making their office his office for the night, too, occupying the ground if necessary and either wordlessly leaving every now and then just to return with a snack and something to drink, or grumbles about them taking a break whenever he gets the impression that they're struggling through a bit too much of a haze.

May urge them to just go home if he feels it's bad enough - or ask them to rest the next day, maybe even telling them that they should just ask their neighbor for help so they can actually catch a break. That'll grate at him, because he can't help more than this, but someone else might - but when Robin reacts with an offended gasp and "It's really not that bad, I don't need to bother him about something silly like this!" he feels just a tad better, because at least they let him help. Will tell them point blank that if they're still feeling sickly next night they better stay home, or he'll do all this again, night for night, until he deems them fit enough for the field again. Will still be worried when they stay out the next night, because he's a goober. Once they're back, he'll pretend nothing ever happened, but keep a closer eye on them anyhow, just to be safe <3

Dawn will have a bit more of a struggle. Their job isn't as physically taxing, and Robin would wave off any concerns for their mental state with the insistence that they're fine, they've been doing this for years, they know themself and know they can handle this. Doesn't even think of involving River, because he's also a little particular about attention from the higher ups. (Dusk isn't. Dusk will be a menace to anyone, and won't be sorry). So he'll just watch them like a hawk if they won't let themself be convinced to take it easy, and cover for any blunders from their side by either being charming, or scathing, or both. Draws the attention back to himself, and that's easy, after all. Similarly to this scenario, he'll tell them to get some fresh air whenever possible, with the distinction that if they're sick, and not just out of it, he won't let them go alone. Will claim the truth - they aren't feeling to well, but the two of them will be right back, not to worry!

Will give them another out once they're alone, tells them he'll cover the rest and to please just go rest, they're only making things worse for their recovery. Don't they have that helpful neighbor who likes helping them, anyway? They should just go home and let Dawn cover this for them - he won't even mention it in the report, so no one has to know. (How do you know Dawn has it bad for you? He suggests breaking the rules for you. Unfortunately, Robin is too dense to realize). But, same as above, Robin will insist on staying, and not bothering their nice neighbor over something so trivial. But, well... They wouldn't mind if Dawn takes the lead this time, and maybe they can use the sickness as a strategy, play it up a little (i.e. stop hiding it as much), to convince certain people to perhaps "let them rest" in restricted access areas. That's a compromise he can live with - he gets to watch them, be as caring as he rarely gets to be, and the job gets done. Tomorrow, though, they better stay home or he'll personally lock them in their office, promise and a threat <3

1.) First impression of them?: The way I just instantly wanted to put Juice in my pocket and take him home with me. I stood no chance. I was doomed from the start.

5.) My favorite ship of them?: Juice x Happiness 😭 Lmaooo no but in all seriousness, I've got a couple OC ideas bouncing around in my brain for him that I've grown very attached to. Someone also randomly got me thinking about Juice x Happy Lowman and I must admit, I think about it frequently.

16.) A childhood headcanon: Juice was deeeeeefinitely the type to be immersed in comic books. I also personally have an HC that he liked to draw and was actually good at it. But I can easily see him with his nose buried in comics whenever he got the chance. 🥺

27.) If they could meet a character from another show/movie/etc. who would be the most fun for them to meet?: The way I COOOOONSTANTLY think about him meeting the Mayans guys. It would be so good, MJ. It would be so fucking good I'm weeping.

3.) A song that reminds me of them: okay this is 110% because I've been thinking about writing a fic inspired by it butttt I've been listening to the 1 by Taylor Swift and the way it's been putting me in my Reyes feelings is...unreal and unacceptable lmao

24.) What do you think is a secret that they have never told anyone?: I think that there have been a lot of things in life that Angel has tried to do or be because of how much he always feels he's falling short. But if it doesn't work out right away he bails on the idea, and then he just never fucking tells anyone because he doesn't want it to be another thing added to the list of what he's not good enough for. (pardon me choosing violence with this I'm just in that mode apparently lmao)

30.) Funniest scene they had?: Oh man. Angel has had so many golden moments??? But what we were just talking about the other day, all that shit with the Swole Boys, is always going to be some top-tier shit. Like it just doesn't get better than that lmao

23.) Future headcanon: They way I know that the money from the end of the season is going to push the restaurant into a new era. And it's going to be great. And things are going to be going well. But I think that Carmy is going to get so wrapped up in all of that, that all of his trauma and all of that is going to get put on the backburner all over again. Because he's going to think that he's going to be fine because other things are fine. And that's not going to be the case. Like obviously there is still going to be chaos in the restaurant because it's a fucking restaurant but I really can't wait to get deeper into all the shit with Carmy and his brother. I can't wait to watch him rip those old scars open RAHHHHHH I'm losing my mind.

26.) When do you think they were being themselves the most?: I feel like his dynamic with Richie is really and truly what brings out some of the realest Carmy. Like not necessarily when they're screaming at each other (but that too) but also just. The jokes and the banter and the snark and the laughs. Like fuck, man, those two knew each other before all of the grief and they still have each other now and I think that's about as real as it gets.

5.) My favorite ship of them?: I've been thinking a lot about what kind of OC I would put with him. (Because I have...ideas. Like the way I'm lowkey waiting for Whumptober to be over so I can invest more of my brainspace into my Thoughts about him and this mystery OC in my head). But he can't be with someone that's a pushover. Which I feel like putting him with someone soft and all that is a nice thought but he's got some bite and I think he needs to be with someone who can match that. Someone funny, and witty, and definitely someone with their own damage. He can't be with someone who is going into the relationship with the intent to "fix him" because that's gonna drive them to an early grave. He needs someone who is kind and loving but will also call him out on his bullshit because he gets so far into his own head and up his own ass sometimes that he gets lost. He needs someone who is going to pull him out of that. The way I'm rotating through careers in my head trying to see which one fits for a potential partner for him. Someone in the restaurant business, maybe, because they'd have that in common. But I also think that if his partner was someone in a completely different field, he could learn a lot from them and I think that he would appreciate that a lot too. Fuck me I've rambled for so long I'm so sorry 😂😂

my brain does feel like a washing machine rn because i want to play 811 (again) but i want to keep thinking about dracula (again) but i also want to read tcomc (again). so my brain is feeling a little blorbo overwhelmed. especially because i already played/read these things so i have plenty of knowledge of them to perpetuate thoughts about it. u know.

huh anyways i'm just gonna use this post to type random thoughts! i've been drawing on paper lately, & it makes me miss when i could just take a photo of a drawing n post it......... T_T i haven't taken a photo with my phone in a while bc there just isnt space on it to save images. i know exactly what would solve this but im so overwhelmed at the prospect of moving files around and sorting through things T_T

this means i have a backlog of doodles i want to share but haven't bc i dont feel like using someone else's camera, womp womp. as well as a backlog of drawings i need to type IDs for.

sharing art is also hard because of typing image ids...i know they're necessary fr some people & i dont want to exclude them but idk, i just like to make the pictures. i worry my writing style is too repetitive & boring to sit through, bc getting in all the details is hard. sorry this post is pretty negative :•\ actually i say this & one time someone did say in the tags of a post the writing of the ID was really good & even enhanced the drawing so UMM????? maybe i'm doing something right for someone out there!

9. What are you currently trying to improve?

my patience lol

fr fr i have a tendency to want to do EVERYTHING in one sitting, so im working on like, being able to set things down and pick them back up again! besides that, i'm working on doing full body poses, character interaction, expressions... and waaaay on the backburner, doing backgrounds more often :P so!!! a lot of stuff haha

10. What’s that one thing that inspired you to make drawing your consistant hobby?

uhhh the need to draw my oc's and @merrydoodles oc's holding hands lol. like. fr fr fr i love drawing my own ocs, yeah, but also specifically my friend's ocs :D its so fun;;;;; i love throwing art at people (when i have the spoons for it at least)

ironically until i got into this sun and moon madness i didn't hardly draw canon characters??? like ever. like every now and then i might have done a little chibi of some canon characters from - whatever fandom, but mostly its alllll been ocs. and invader zim characters actually. they don't register as canon characters to me they are just. blorbo. yee
