q: what program do you use to make your flags/edits and how? a: i use gimp on desktop! here's a simple flag tutorial i made and a basic flag splicing tutorial for multi-flag icons.

q: what's your header/icon? a: my icon is the bard from 'wandersong' over the lumesimplekind flag and my header is an edit i made inspired by wandersong's cover art and the song 'i wanna be the hero!' from the game!

q: are you alright with requests involving [insert media]? a: if it's not in my general rules linked above, probably yes! if you're concerned for a specific reason (source content, shitty creator, etc.) please let me know in your ask; i don't know what's problematic about every piece of media!

q: i don't see my request in the inbox! can i resend it? a: yes! just resend it and let me know that you sent it previously while requests were open.

q: can i put your terms on [insert wiki] or [insert other social media site]? a: yes, as long as you credit me and do not reword my definitions, add additional definitions, etc.

q: can you tag [insert thing]? a: yes, i'll try my hardest to remember! feel free to remind me if i forget.

q: how long will it take for my request to be posted? how long will it take for you to get to my request? a: i can't definitively say, sorry! i try to make it so the queue has a month's worth or less of posts in it, but as for getting to your request, i don't really know for a number of reasons.

q: [insert post] should be tagged as eyestrain! a: thanks for letting me know! i struggle to determine what is eyestrainy a lot of the time, so i tag things as 'eyestrain' when i'm certain and 'potential eyestrain' when i'm not. if you're photosensitive, i recommend blocking both tags to be safe.

q: can i use one of your edits somewhere? a: yes, and i would strongly prefer if you credit me somewhere if you do.

q: are you alright with spam likes/reblogs? a: yes, and i appreciate your support and enthusiasm!

Netherworld Post Office's Unscientific Yet Very Amusing Survey Something or Other Fancy Name to be Written is coming along nicely.

I want to create... a lot... of fun, weird surveys. I LOVE making these on Tumblr, but there are limits.

And.

I can do both -- run them externally and host them on Tumblr -- and then just combine Tumblr's data into the open version when the former times out.

I was originally going to do this with Google Forms but I've decided to build it on Mail Chimp, after some testing. MC does not require a poll taker to add their email address, which was critical

I do not want to limit the audience of those whom enjoy polls to those whom also will sign up for a newsletter.

I make jokes, memes, and greeting cards.

Some folks prefer a social media platform, maybe more than one, to see the new and remember the old.

Some folks prefer email.

Preferences switch.

Sometimes that switch is to pause or turn off.

Tumblr's Survey Culture has lead me to develop a few key rules into how this is going to be set up

Individuals must have the ability to answer anonymously if they desire. As a a matter of fact, answering anonymously should be the default.

Individuals must have the ability to answer without being anonymous if they want. A lot of people tag their answers.

Spam answers to purposefully skew results can be really, really funny. Tumblr's version of this is when a popular account reblogs a poll with a comment, influencing the results. My version of this is not limiting answers.

I make jokes, memes, and greeting cards.

Not marketing decisions for you as a person on how, how often, and where, and when, you see said jokes, memes, and greeting cards.

I write this as a combination of transparency in business practices, but also, as someone who is a fan of neat indie art and whom is wary of social media continuing to host it, I feel it goddamn critical to share with others who make stuff that there are infinite ways to connect to audiences.

And when they go away it's less about "winning them back" (I hate this marketing term), and more about being easy to remember when they've been gone for 6-24 months and are trying to remember your name at 3 AM.

It's about respecting folks and not badgering them.

you know what, screw it, making a post. ik people harp on Twitter users for not knowing how tumblr works.

but also don't tell them. how tumblr works.

one of my least favorite things is "unspoken rules" for anything. like. how am i supposed to know that if it's not spoken. so;

- tumblr is not actually a social media website. it is a blogging platform first and foremost.

- to get an accurate tumblr experience without algorithm stuff, you will want to go into your dashboard settings and turn off "best stuff first," "in your orbit," and "based on your likes"

less algorithm recommended stuff is very valuable, because you will be able to curate your experience far more than any other websites.

- tag your posts! you can use FAR more tags than Twitter. if you think a tag is relevant, don't be afraid of adding it.

this can include content warnings, especially the more common ones such as bugs or whatnot -- this in particular is something you want to keep in mind, as the filtering function works based on tags

- you can hide your likes and the blogs you follow! it's okay! it's not a big deal and most people prefer it! if someone hides their likes and following, it does not mean anything other than they like their privacy. i prefer them being hidden, myself.

- the queueing feature! you can queue up to 1000 posts, and change both the time of day you'd like queued posts to post, as well as How Many posts to post per day. this is very useful as well! especially for content creators; people don't like spam, and with art it's hard to interact with several posts all in a row.

(on that note, people will also queue reblogs! i myself do it a Whole Lot! this means i could end up reblogging a post days, weeks, or even months after i actually found it.)

- reblog whatever you want! it doesn't matter! you don't have an "image" to uphold, no one cares. and if you have a specific theme you want to keep to -- that's what sideblogs are for! you can have a bunch of sideblogs and just do whatever you want with them! you are Free. there's nothing holding you back

- people talk about reblogs so much Because of how tumblr works. for example, for small artists with very few followers and such; any 'algorithm' prioritizes posts that actually get kots of interaction, so a small creator won't have a very good chance of getting algorithm-preferred posts. reblogging helps spread smaller posts naturally.

- people complain about posts getting lots of notes but in reality no one actually really cares. it's being played up for The Laughs. you can still interact with popular posts if you want.

- the whole culture on tumblr is something all in its own separate world at this point. if someone threatens you with a metaphorical knife it's like saying hi

- you can customize your blog theme to an extreme degree, especially on desktop.

📝 What I Post My original posts are mainly about Cyberpunk 2077, specifically Valerie and Goro, with the occasional life update, selfie, and shitpost thrown in for good measure. Virtual photography in CP77 has become my main creative outlet over the past year, but I also draw and write. Please do not repost or edit my original works anywhere without my permission.

🔁 What I Reblog I reblog a mixture of video games, movies/shows, art, scenery/aesthetic, fandom history/commentary, and meme posts. Occasionally I reblog political/current event posts, but I mostly use this space to relax so they aren't too common. For a full scope of what you'll find here, you can check my tag page.

📅 How I Queue I maintain a queue that posts 5 times a day, and posts can be queued as far as four weeks out. I don't really have a consistent method for what gets reblogged immediately and what goes into the queue--It varies depending on my activity level, if my queue is running low, if I feel like a post is over-saturated in my feed, etc.

💕 Who I Follow I prioritize keeping my dash a manageable, comfy place, so I am somewhat picky about what blogs I follow, and I am just about at my limit for the number of blogs I find I can reasonably keep up with. In addition to having shared interests, I typically I consider these factors before following someone: - I don't follow minors, and I generally prefer to follow adults over 25. - I prefer to follow blogs with at least a basic tagging system. - While I respect the need to vent, I have a very strong aversion to guilt-trippy and/or instigating posts (e.g. histrionic pleas for users to reblog content, posts that drag one character to praise another, or excessive fanwank).

Q: How do you make your Cyberpunk screenshots? A: The main tool I use is the Appearance Menu Mod, which is used to spawn NPCs, decor, and lighting. I wrote a very detailed guide on how to get started with AMM that you can check out here. I also use Reshade for the Cinematic DOF and Real Long Exposure shaders. All color editing is done in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Q: I read your AMM guide but I can't get the NPC poses to work for my NPC of choice. What am I doing wrong? A: First, double-check to make sure that you don't have any mod conflicts. The NPC pose .archive files can only be used one at a time per locomotion type, so if you have two or more in your mod folder, they won't work.

Most likely, though, the pose .archive file and the NPC you're working with have different locomotion types; e.g. Johnny uses the corpo locomotion, so only corpo locomotion files will work on him unless you also use an .archive file that converts his locomotion to another type. You can read more about it in this section of the guide.

Q: What mods do you use/recommend? A: I have a list that I update every few months that lists all the publicly available mods I use in my game as well as a more general mod tag for any mods that look interesting/useful. I've also dabbled in making pose mods, which are available for free at my Ko-fi shop. (Disclaimer: Please note that a mod recommendation is not necessarily an endorsement of the modder.)

Something inky this way comes! The Ink Demonth emerges once again!

The Ink Demonth is a 31-day event dedicated to the game Bendy and the Ink Machine (and other games associated with the Bendy universe). It’s based on daily themes. As long as your creation involves elements from the game along any interpretation of the respective day’s theme – it counts!

You don’t have to create something for each day, make as many as you’d like. However, if you manage to do all 31 of them, you can submit a form to receive a little gift (drawing request)! In the form you will have to provide a link to each of your posted event submissions (it doesn’t have to be Tumblr, just a site that’s publically accessible!).

You will also be able to choose an artist you’d prefer to make the gift for you, you will be able to choose between me and my two talented friends @rinkopatateneko and @fullmoondaggers-art / @ask-the-hellion-studio (you can pick more than one option, even all of us if you don’t care about the artstyle of your gift).

As fun as the events and ideas you posted about 19days would be, wouldn’t it also just bring in more negative stuff - like fandom in general has become a field of land mines and I fear that something that’s supposed to fun will turn into some sort of battle. Like how some people get extremely heated over any other ships outside of their fave ship and they cannot possibly have other ships except theirs, etc. The last thing anyone wants is for content creators to be targeted simply for making something they thought would be fun

(This ask and answer is about this post.)

First of all thank you so much for addressing such a big and valid concern. I agree that that has indeed happened in certain fandoms - I can say I've been in the thick of it and witnessed quite the warfare - but in others it has also brought fans and readers and content creators together even closer and tighter in a wonderful thriving community.

I have the feeling this'll get quite long so please proceed under the cut with that in mind.

I believe all things are potential harbingers of both discord and harmony. There will always be people who feel entitled and who want - even demand! the audacity! - authors and artists to create for their ships and their ships alone. And there will also always be people who can appreciate the writing and the art without judgemental treatment regarding the pairings/characters depicted, no matter their preferences.

All of that happens and will continue to happen, whether we go forward with these events or not. And yet authors will still write what they want to write, artists will still draw what they want to draw, graphic designers will still make the edits they want to make as well. What we could do, in this small and close knit fandom, is take in our hands this powerful rich opportunity and try our best to make a model of positivity out of it.

In these events, there would be no bashing or shaming allowed. The content created would be to be enjoyed by those who are attracted to it, and those who do not have a taste for that fanwork in particular would be asked to remain respectful. (As it should always be.) There would be no ship wars in these spaces. Discourse, hate-speech or anti-behaviour would not be tolerated by the moderators of the event.

Creators who indulged in it would be immediately disqualified. Any unnecessary commentary or complaints from the audience would be deleted and reported as spam. Anyone instigating conflict would be only painting a target on their back, really. Because most of us - I dare say - are only here to appreciate the brilliant artwork and fanfiction woven and crafted by the talented people who share it with us.

If it came to it and it escalated, this hellsite has several tools that can be put to use to that regard. Accounts could be blocked and/or even reported. They wouldn't be able to interact with the blogs created to run these events from then on. We would be able to create a black list and post it publicly so everyone else who wished to could simply block those unruly pesky accounts and remain at peace and free to enjoy themselves to their utmost.

Let us not forget that this is all fiction and it's all for fun. Everyone's allowed to have their own opinion, likes and dislikes. There simply is no need to step on anyone else and their interests to elevate them.

Let's exemplify, for the sake of clarity:

Do I personally ship A with B? Imagine I do not. I do not search for it. If I come across it? I scroll past it. Once or twice, I may even like - and even reblog - if it happens to catch my attention and it's well written/drawn! (I have tags along the lines of 'I don't ship it but' and 'look at this beautiful art' or 'drown in the power of these words.')

It's so easy to interact amongst ourselves without coming with pitchforks at one another. Know what actually needs effort? Being a meanie and a party popper! Who in their right mind wastes their time on things they don't care for? Dum dums, that's who! Of course, we're all dummies at times... and that's okay! Let's just not harass people or crash their fun while we're at it!

If nothing else: you wouldn't like if others did this or that to you, therefore don't do it to others. It's a simple concept to grasp.

Very important: in these events, every single piece would be explicitly and properly tagged and warned for right at the very top of each post, so there would be absolutely no excuses for anyone being nasty.

We would just have to be open to the experience. Enjoy our ships and let other enjoy theirs. We do not have to all like the same thing. That would be just boring. But we can cohabitate devoid of trouble in fandom. Each one of us just has to be respectful. No need to even be nice. No one has to compliment something they don't like. They also don't have to step on what others do.

Don't like a ship/character/theme? Don't read stories focused on it. Don't put down authors who write it or readers who enjoy it. Same for art. No need to shout about how awful it is just for the simple reason that it does not fit into your personal shipping preferences. It can still be still be a tasty and wonderfully baked cake, it's just that you're not fond of vanilla or strawberries. It's okay. There are all kinds of cake for everyone's tastes!

Further examples: If a ship happens to be a NOTP for me or I don't care for the character(s)? I filter the tags. All of them. Any and every tag I can think of. It's very easy to protect ourselves on Tumblr from content we do not wish to see. (My own list is huge and just as effective.) Filtering is incredibly important.

So go ahead and filter out the ships you can do without! Filter out porte-manteaux like Tianshan, Zhanyi, Qiucheng, Tianxi, Tianyi, Lishan, Litian, Liyi, Shantou, Polydays, (...) Filter out any ship tag that doesn't strike your fancy like Q x MGS, HC x JY's mom, (...) Filter out characters that aren't your cuppa tea like HT, HT's dad, SL, JY's mom, XH, (...)

Make it safe for yourself and for others. That way you won't rage at the sight of your NOTP, won't feel the compulsive need to trash the people who ship it, no one is hurt and everyone is happy!

There are many steps we could follow to prevent rotten eggs in our coop. And many more actions we could take to throw them out if need be. I firmly believe, however, that if we're all of the same mind everything would go well and with very few bumps along the way.

If we only ever feared the possible negative consequences of our actions, never taking the risk for the possible positive ones, we'd never get anything done. I say let's not let our beloved fandom stagnate or dry out. Let's incentivate and motivate and inspire! Let's share! Let's have fun!

Think of it in these terms: it wouldn't be a competition at all but rather a charity event. Performers and spectators coming together for a common good, raising content and spreading joy! There would be no winners or losers or prizes. What would matter would be good old-fashioned participation, both by providing content and/or consuming it.

It could also a good way to get people to express themselves more. Many content consumers tend to lurk or keep to themselves even if they like the content posts. (I used to be one myself and only a couple months ago started to come out of my shell.) I myself advocate for reblogging instead of liking - if you have to choose one or the other, I mean, why not do both? - and leaving a word on every single post I like and/or reblog. Sometimes I go nuts commenting, sometimes I leave a small note in the tags.

It doesn't matter how. Even if you're shy or introverted (*raises hand*) or don't know what to say I guarantee a single emoticon or a string of disordered letters symbolising incoherence will make the creator's day all the same. Getting feedback is so important and motivational for creators and also a great way for fandom members to keep in touch and support each other.

Additionally, if a person would like more of a certain type of content here are some healthy actions they could take: a) commission a creator and pay for it if they can; b) politely make a suggestion to a creator with an open ask box; c) post a prompt publicly for possible interested creators to use; d) do it yourself and share it with others!

This turned out into more of a "behavioural guidelines" thing than I'd have liked. I am not in any way whatsoever telling anyone what to do. This is what I do, and it works wonders for me. I stay completely out of toxic arguments and in on all the goodies. I'm able to fully enjoy my fandoms. And isn't that what we all want?

Of course, this is only my personal stance on the issue. I did go for a survey first exactly for this end, to get their opinions on the subject and see if it would be worth a shot. I shall hope many other people will think as I do, but I will wholly respect those who don't.

Okay, time to put my thoughts down because tomorrow will be a bit hectic:

-Friendly reminder that the Ball Fic will be 9k words. It's long. But once you start reading, it actually feels short. XD Or that's how it feels to me. I can only hope you all will like it. I'm so excited to post it, aaah. ;_;

-I'm not sure how to tag this one just yet. Do I just tag it like always? But Gladiia is kinda flirting (Kinda she says) with the other two but part of me wants to tag them all separately? Or just the polycule? Damn, why am I so indecisive? XD What would you all prefer? This is a genuine question. I'd love to know what people prefer more. (And before you ask me, all of them. I ship all of them.)

-I'll reblog it a few times tomorrow because I know I'll spam this blog a bit so... XD Also will be reblogging the previews, this post, my art and Hoa's art too. (Especially the last one, it's very important.)

FAQ!

Took me long enough, am I right? I wanted to compile some questions I've received on the form for your ease! Thank you all for being so splendid, this will be a blast.

What's the minimum word count for fics?

15k!

Will there be a dropout penalty?

I saw this crop up quite a bit. I would never penalize someone for having to drop out, this past year has been hard on all of us. If you consider dropping out, I ask you reach out to me when you can so we can problem solve and work on new pairings in case it gets late in the process.

What if I can't meet my deadline?

Again, I understand! If I notice you haven't submitted your latest deadline, I'll reach out and check in on you. This is why I tried to space this out with pleeenty of time, and mostly over the summer when people are out of school. It's all good. <3

Will there be an AO3 collection?

I would hope so! I'll have to figure out how to make one of those, but I'd love to have them all categorized. I also will be reblogging all the art and fic posted to tumblr to this blog once Nov. 5th happens!

Are crossovers/AUs/etc. allowed?

Of course! Because we're celebrating Nov. 5th I expect a few fics and art will focus on that, but personally I'll be writing an AU, and I know some others are planning the same! Also works don't necessarily have to be Destiel related but again, this is a Nov. 5th BB so expect a majority of the work to be focused on that. <3

Will the artists have say over who they're paired with/how many pieces they'll do?

Yes! After writers have their concepts and the starts of their fics done, artists will get to check a spreadsheet and put down a minimum of 3 fics they would be interested in working on. As the stats are now, it seems like artists are vastly outnumbering writers, so its possible artists will be doubled up on written work to accommodate! However, we still have less than a month before applications close so stats may change.

How many pieces of art can I produce?

That's up to you! I'd love to see artists collab with each other, make comics, illustrations, amvs... The choice is yours!

Do I have to join the discord?

I would very much prefer if you did! After June 1st, all updates will be in the discord to minimize spam on tumblr dashboards. So please keep your tumblr messages open, we can't contact you otherwise!

Do works have to be in English?

Preferably yes, sorry!

Minor content warning for description of surgery and death

I am the proud recipient of 5-8 donor ligaments [doc won't tell me how many so that's my best guess]! They where used in my knees to reconstruct torn and unrepairable ligaments that where affected by my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

Because of my EDS, I frequently minorly dislocated my knees for years [which actually is very common in normal knees too! Everyone dislocates there knees at one point in there life while going through growth spirts!] and all the connective tissue in my knees became less elastic and stretched out over time due to it being genetically wrong, resulting in major dislocations that compromised my ability to walk!

So, my doctor deconstructed my knees and removed almost all my major ligaments, replacing them with donor parts that aren't affected by eds and Tightening them tighter than a normal person's to add security, he also drilled a Zig zag channel through my knee caps and threaded extra ligaments through them for more support, just in case my body did ever manage to stretch out my knees!

That all being said I'll say it again-

PLEASE REGISTER TO BE AND ORGAN DONOR! YOU CAN SAVES LIVES AND IMPROVE LIVES AND ITS CONDONED BY MANY MAJOR RELIGIONS, COUNTRY'S, AND SOCIAL GROUPS!

Also! Please NEVER take how Hollywood protrays organ donation as true!!! I've seen so many episodes of Grey's Anatomy that show organ donation as bad, and the doctors as organ thrives which is FALSE! My grandfather was an organ Donor when he passed! You HAVE to die a brain death to donate, which they double, triple, and dectuple check before they proceed! You can also request certain Organs not be donated, either because of health issues or just personal preference! [Ie, you may know you have a genetic predisposition for liver cancer and choose not to donate it, or you may just feel weird about donating your eyes!]

I can walk thanks to organ donation! One of my best friends in highschool was born with a heart defect and lives because of a heart transplant! You can help burn victims! Folks with rare diseases! People who where injured! People who are trying to get there lives back together after addiction! Please look up how to register as an organ Donor in your area!

CONTINUATION ON MY PREVIOUS CALL OUT POST

I didn't want to go here AGAIN, but engines-and-gin [new username and I have them blocked so I can’t fully tag them] is making posts about the situation

They've been harassing me and others for *months*, this whole situation started in early to mid 2020.

It started with this person following me and several others [@merciresolution included] and when we investigated there blog initially [as one does when followed by someone you don’t know, you take a few glaces at there blog], we found it full of spam about Thomas characters being age changed as infants and this person obsessing over them to a very high degree, including reblogs of posts that where not clear if they where from age play or agre sources [and this whole situation was taxing on me enough to begin with to do any further digging], there where also untagged posts with nsfw and major triggers [blood, needles, violent situations]. We talked to them about agre and asked them to a.) Keep it out of the main tags due to it being super sensitive and triggering to many people, an b.) To please stop refollowing people to spam there accounts with notifications, we THOUGHT the situation ended there but the person started posting on the main tag after a few weeks on a new blog, and with that they started spamming asking others to do agre role play with them while claiming they needed it for mental health reasons [they’ve claimed they have depression, severe enough they are in fear of hurting themself, but that they also refuse to talk to a mental health professional for it for various reasons]

After these events, and several attempts at reaching out to them through different channels, asking them to stop spamming other, they took a break for a few months. However, these behaviors started up again in last 2020 early 2021.

They once again started following, unfollowing, and refollowing me on my main account [this one] and @\logging-locos every day for almost a month while I sent them several asks for them to PLEASE stop doing so, before they deleted the account in question and started up again with *another* blog, at this point I blocked them for the second time [the first time being on the first account earlier in the year]

In the interim between early 2021 and this latest, they made several new accounts, I repeatedly blocked after realizing it was the same person *over and over*

Are latest follwing was a final straw for me. Opening this persons blog and seeing Agre, untagged nsfw, and many untagged common triggers is finally taking enough of a toll on me that I cannot handle it anymore.

Seeing them and there content is constantly putting me into bad spells of intrusive thoughts, and seeing agre not only is affecting my mental health with intrusive thoughts but ‘Age Regression’ is often a technical term used in courts or by law firms that is used against autistic adults and teenagers. Being Autistic and Neurodivergent in other ways I’ve seen ‘mental age’ and ‘age regression’ both used in the context of abusing autistic and other neurodivergent peoples. Forcing them into situations where they lose there rights as adults. It happens more than you think, and age regression and mental age are both terms that are touted by anti autistic organizations as ways to de power autistic’s and spread misinformation. Any information I’ve found about Agre as a form of therapy is either from unsourced materials on tumblr and other blogging platforms, or very specific mental health practices that I have not found to be a general consensus. As far as I’m concerned, the content I’m seeing from this blog is not a major therapeutic practice, I cannot find any research papers on the concepts, and the blurry line between Agre and Age play is very large and not one I have the mental capacity to deal with

I have a backlog of information screenshots of interactions with this person and I’m willing to share them, but I’m really exsaughted right now

Hi. I run this blog, and I'm a dersite destructive mind player. I do analysis shiz, and am the creator of a (currently wip) dual dreaming extended zodiac. as well as several groups of ocs who I have plans for I swear- rules, capabilities, etc listed below
