Fell in love when they were young from opposite sides of a war, risked everything to be together, have been finding and losing each other for 3000 years. But from her side, he is a cool guy she has a crush on (who is at least 15ish years older than her) who she might have known as a child. He also just described her as his entire life’s purpose. Like bro THATS CRAZYYY

Seeing Meliodas destroy the horn of cernunos is such a badass moment to me. The way he responds to her taunting with direct action and violence rather than his usual merciful beating around the bush. My favorite Mel moments are when he is using his silly goofy little guy façade and suddenly has to drop it. This is when we see a glimpse of who he was when leading the 10 commandments: arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage

i've been having some sabito brainrot and he would just be SUCH a horrifying ler, i know it. he knows exactly what teases get to his victim, he knows all their spots, he's agile enough to dodge attacks and strong enough to pin people down, he just has the full package. taking him down is literally impossible.

giyuu tries it. epic fail abort mission the absolute worst day of his life and he's had many of those so you know it's bad.

tanjiro tries it. EPIC fail, sabito is a substitute coach in urokodaki's dojo after all and he knows ALL of tanjiro's moves, it's hopeless.

nezuko tries it. failfailfail because yeah she's cute and dangerous but sabito is a teacher, he knows of the danger that comes from small people and once you see where kids stick their hands you become kinda immune to any kind of cuteness.

giyuu ropes his friends into it. some of them only need a little nudge ("i've been wanting to kill that guy for years" - "SANEMI"), some of them need extra encouragement ("and what's in it for me?" - "fun? exercise? come on kyo..." - "listen if you want this to happen you better treat me to some quality burgers because i won't risk my life for nothing") but in the end they do indeed end up trying their luck. emphasis on trying.

kanae and kyojuro fail spectacularly and publicly because they thought it was a smart idea to ambush sabito on campus. tengen and mitsuri fail embarrassingly because they have all this strength and at the end of the day it really does nothing. sanemi and obanai refuse to talk about it and akaza isn't sure whether he should be absolutely fuming at the defeat or ecstatic that he actually found someone whose martial art skills are on par with his own.

(shinobu and gyomei are smart enough to stay out of the mess and honestly good for them)

except there is one person who can actually take sabito down and that person is makomo. and getting the intel from her was always out of giyuu's pay league (she's EXPENSIVE) but now that sabito has humiliated all of his friends, tengen and his disgusting off-shore untaxed bank account are happy to chip in. and the trick is really just that sabito has one really weird spot but once you get that the rest of his spots sort of unlock like bonus levels and then it's bad. if you're just one person, getting the spot might be hard but well. they're eight now.

I know i shit a lot on live actions. But i just finished the patlabor one, and i fucking loved it. Patlabor is like my favorite franchise ever (maybe a tie with ruroken) and i will rewatch it yearly (be it the manga, anime,ovas or movies). I even studied japanese to read the manga because is not translated, that i know.

The point is that while i was watching the live action i realised how it molded my brain watching it. That casual-absurd humor, the slice of life bits, and my love for underdog characters 😩👌 who can be so pathetic, but also so brave. Damn! I fucking love it.

The cast is super fun. It is a slice of life but with big ass robot police. Everyone has their stupid and smart moments. Also noa, the main character is the shit. I love her.

That anime can give you the most stupid moments, but also be so emotional and political at times. And the soundtrack fucks man 😭👌

(It likely is because of needing extra space. {In Battle, his home and his lab are in two different spots. Something that's normally either a mixture of the two or right next to each other in other games and adaptions.} A hc of mine is that as Tails' skills grow, the more he updates his workshop bit by bit. I actually like the idea of him eventually going back to Cocoa Island and it serving as his main home and base of operations; as I imagine it's private and secluded enough to not warrant [unsolicited] tourism and snooping.)

Personally I prefer to think of him having a secluded enough place (maybe hidden from sight with some cloaking tech or something), but close enough to civilization that he can go into town when he wants. (I still haven't been rewatching X, but I believe I saw a picture of his house where it's kind of attached to a cliffside and I think it's kind of sick)

Congrats on finishing shin Jeeg it’s great 👏 I’m currently rewatching it with my partner so I thought I’d let you in on some trivia regarding the entire Kyo lore reveal in ep 10. (Note this is info I got from a friend as it regards toei Jeeg, and I only read the manga before watching shin just to get to know hiroshi and miwa a bit)

Kyos entire character was ripped from a one off ep of toei Jeeg where a villain redeemed himself, expect it was tweaked a lot in shin. Mainly, himika and him were not aliens and rather from the underground, nor did he have a tie to the bronze bells or even have a sister. (From what I friend told me, they added that part in because he did have feelings for Miwa or something, but also probably did it just bc of the twist with Kenji regaridng this) not sure what his OG design looked like but I imagine it’s crust given toei but afaik other then this what they did take was Balba as well.

So yeah idk if you saw any Jeeg stuff prior esp given toei is pretty long but I thought I’d give this insight because the change is super interesting. (Also if you somehow didn’t hear lol, shin Jeeg was directed by Jun Kawagoe, man responsible for arma after ep 4, the other two getter ovas and the recenter getter anime. He is such a talented directed and I think putting aside new getter shin Jeeg is truly one of his best works)

Also sorry if this is lengthy again my autism went BRRRR because no one really gives shin Jeeg enough attention but it’s my second fav mecha after getter 😭

Toei crust is the best kind of crust (also good to know Baruba is in the toei original! I liked the big kitty)

I just started the last season of Demon Slayer that’s out today and I’m just in awe of the animation and how it looks and it’s making me emotional. I’m really so grateful that a series as good as that has such a beautifully well done adaptation. Couldn’t ask for anything more and hope that they continue doing it justice until the very end, though I have a feeling they will.

I hope you get to read it beause one of the matches centres on some of my favourite babies and I really do hate that they messed up the adaptation like that. At least I’ll always have the manga, though it still sucks 😭 Yeah. And the fourth season still has some really well-done scenes, and there’s this scene of another kind of fave that I haven’t mentioned at all, that appears in that season, and they have like this really beautiful shot of his eyes. And that’s nice to know. No problem at all. Even though I probably won’t rewatch the movies, I do really appreciate that they animated those extra scenes beause they’re all important in their own way. Shame can’t be said for some later stuff and I know Covid had something to do with the second half on the fourth season, but the movie of this year and those OVA’s from many years ago have no excuse so yeah, it’s still a shame (I know I’m being really salty here so sorry for that). The chapter limitation really does suck, especially because both were really easy to get through for me, someone who doesn’t read as fast so I hope that you do get to read both on your normal app one day. Yeah, me too. Like even though I do have my faves that I’ve talked to you about, I still love all of the characters and am so proud of the growth that certain ones went through and it’s just all so nice. Like even my non-faves make me emotional. And yeah, especially those. Like the other boy I’m not normal about has such noticeable flaws and is such a silly boy (like I call him silly so often while rewatching some of his scenes) but he’s such a well-made character that you can’t help but love him.

I can definitely get checking out series that are recommended to you, even if they’re not what you’d normally watch. I recently paused watching my other shows to binge through Mashle because it came highly recommended by two people I trust, even though it seemed like it would be just a blatant rip-off of One Punch Man. Turns out they were right and I loved it. I hope it will be that for you with the romance series when you do watch it through! The ending of A:TLA was definitely worthy of the crying and I remember crying quite a bit throughout that show. I loved Iroh, but I really had a soft spot for Azula and things got real rough for my girl around the end of the show. I felt horrible for her, I really did. I’m so glad that you enjoyed your rewatch of it, that it could still hit you in all the right ways despite knowing what was coming. When you say last season, do you mean this is it? It will wrap everything up completely or is there a plan for more (like a spin-off or anything) after this season or a follow-up like Naruto: Shippuden? I’m so glad the last season is starting out so well though and I’m with you in hoping it will continue to be beautifully done right up until the end, and not just because it’s high on my watch list.

I’m someone who likes to get every single moment, so even if the movies are a lot of recycled stuff, I still need to watch them. Oh no! Just got done rewatching the l*vi backstory ovas and jesus christ that whole ordeal is such a massive condemnation of the s*rvey corps (<= idk what people be searching) on multiple levels its actually insane. Like. The idea that you could come out of that being like wow what a tragic and harrowing ordeal l*vi is so cool and strong and brave etc and not like WHAT THE FUCK... GET HIM OUT OF HERE!!!! The way erw*n masterminded this whole plot to blackmail him into service and then indirectly got his family killed over LITERALLY NOTHING functionally ruining his whole life and then like. Rubbing in the fact that he has nowhere else to go like his plan was just to secure this talent by any means necessary (WHICH IT PRETTY MUCH WAS?) It is literally horrific 😭 and the fact that it ends with l*vi being like At The End Of The Day No One Ever Knows What Will Happen In A Situation... so I guess I'll follow this guy until I die?

The Druids having the technique Enslavement of the Dead is actually really cool because it shows us that the goddess race really was that fucked up from the very beginning. Like the characters realize that Ludociel and Nerobasta are not all there made out to be eventually, but we can see just from the types of abilities the druids (aka those closest to and led by the goddess race) possess

which sonic cartoon is the best and why?

Hmmmm if we’re counting all kinds of cartoon media, I HAVE to go with the Sonic OVA, it’s so quirky and fun and I adore the characters and world building. I really wish we could have seen more of that world and those characters. I rewatched it with my brother again recently, years later, and he was afraid it wouldn’t be good anymore because of nostalgia goggles but it was still so well made and so enjoyable. It’s not exactly canon to any other Sonic media but it’s like watching a Ghibli movie of Sonic, which is a really fun combo. Also I love Knuckles’ silly hat and he should have it more often.

TV show cartoon wise, it’s a hard pick for me. I grew up watching all of Sonic X on YouTube (imagine getting Sonic shows on TV here ;_;) so I have a soft spot for that fucker, even though I will fully admit that the quality is pretty awful at times, especially in season 3. I think it has fun characters and interesting original plots, while also handling its little Adventure mini arcs well. Fuck Chris Thorndyke though, all my homies dislike Chris Thorndyke. I know he’s, like, 8 but he’s suvh an annoying addition to an otherwise good show 😭. Sorry, 11 year old me has a grudge against that kid for how he acts in the first, like, 1.5 seasons at least.

I didn’t grow up with SatAM or Underground but I did watch them as a tween/early teen and got very upset when I found out Sonic Underground got cancelled without ever resolving jack shit :(((( This is, like, the only Sonic show that has super clear, stated goals that they literally sing about in the intro every episode, so it sucks that it never got to actually get anywhere (even though i can see why it got low enough ratings to be cancelled hshdhhdhs but I’m attached <3)

I like Prime, it’s fun and has potential, but its characterisation isn’t my favourite and I prefer 2D animation over 3D. I’ll definitely watch it as it comes out, but so far I can’t really rank it very highly in my tier list because it’s so short and I don’t trust Netflix not to cancel it, which really puts a damper on how much I can enjoy it :( However if Silver the Hedgehog is in future seasons it WILL shoot up the rankings immediately for that reason alone. I am very biased I love my boi and Sonic Rivals 2 CANNOT be his most recent appearance as plot relevant in something other than the comics.

Okay, I might be overdramatique because I'm pure tears pal but I have some incomprehensible babble to spew and my tumblr will suffer collateral damage of it.

So hi hello. In the Internet sphear I go by Percy. And if you don't know me, my favourite anime of all times is Kill la Kill.

For some reason, I catch myself rewatching it every now and then. I thought I might be watching it extra critically this time but I got lost in the sauce by the 3rd ad and didn't feel like doing any deeper inspection.

(No joke if that's how americans watch anime no fucking wonder you need power of anime AND gods on your side. In 24 episodes I've watched more ads in minutes than actual episodes, that's fucking insane. Nothing is sacred anymore, I swear)

KlK also marks one of my last anime ever watched. It aired in 2013, I think, and I've seen the OVA (I don't remember a bit of it though) but then somehow in 2014, I've started Akumo no Riddle but got bored by like episode 4 and never picked it, or any other series, again. In me teens I just couldn't justify wasting time watching anime, when I could actively do other stuff I enjoy and that requires more than physical form (aka I do something-anything).

I clearly have a soft spot for it. For some folk it is weird; on one hand I have a... Complicated relationship with nudity. One can say I do not like it very much. But it never crossed my mind that in 24 episodes, 80% of it is spent half naked. I just kind of got the nudity is used for narrative purposes and paid it no mind. For some it's just fan service for all the weebos to beat their meat to the drawing or whatever.

Well, I love the graphical style and prowess of KlK. I think (is the key word here) that klk and attack on titan (the title I use for it does not tranlsate into English and you cannot appreciate the peak of my humour, sadly) are semi close on the time line. And I remembered a lot of people going head over heels for attack's style, but I always liked klk's more. Also music-wise klk blows the attack on nonsense outta the water. Like, they wish they had such a good track in the series. Don't even get me FUCKING started on Garnidelia! A QUEEN.

And I've been crying for 10 minutes over Senketsu's death. Like a bitch. I've seen this ending like 5 times by now and it never fucking fails. Your fave could never 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Also also, not a gospel or anything, so take it with grain of salt but I vaguely remember one day reading that Kill la Kill's title is actually a pun. What some people have noticed not a lot of killing takes place. Kiru ra kiru, as it could be pronounced, would be "to cut" and "to wear", which is quintessentially what the whole series is about. But then again, I'm not sure when, where or how I've read that and I'm also not well acquainted with Japanese (which is a polite way to say I can't read or speak it at all)(unless the meme-y japanglish counts; arigathanks gozaimuch and yamete kudastop and so on and so forth), so yeah. Take it and consider me an idiot making shit up, that's the safer way out lmfao.
