I didn't get Kazuha in 2.8 for Reasons(mainly that I had him on an alt acc), so I had to wait until 3.7. It was not fun not having him in the time in between. The amount of times I got a "No Kazuha?" in response to asking for advice was crazy lol

So, I tried to save for him for a while, like I started after Alhaitham I think? Might be wrong though it's been a while since then

I had a lot of slip-ups in-between, like I know I got Baizhu by accident at like 34 pity(I love him though no regrets) and purposefully got Nahida in 3.6 and Miko at 40-something pity(I hated her back then but I also love her now) during the first half of 3.7. I thought my chances of Kazuha were doomed.

So- weird thing about me, I cannot handle my pity not being a multiple of 10(or 0, 0 is also fine). I do not know why so don't ask lmao. So, after I got Miko, I was doing singles to get back to 10 to calm my stupid brain, and at 9 pity I got a Qiqi. This incident is actually the reason I still love her to this day, because to me in that moment, she saved me.

So, as Kazuha's banner drew closer, I saved up money and bought a $100 genisis pack so I could guarantee him on release(yes I spend money on this game, but I haven't bought anything over $10 for the past 6 months or so).

I got him at literally 1 pity. I did the first 10 pull, it was gold, and he was the very first one. This is still by far the luckiest I have ever been in this game.

I used the rest of my pulls on the weapon banner, and got a LoFI at 29 pity(which I was very happy about because I love Alhaitham) and had 40 pity towards the next 5 star.

I grinded out the pulls I could, and got another LoFI at 50ish pity. I had maxed fate points.

I wasn't originally going to push for FS, but a couple days before the banner ended the sunk cost fallacy got to me and I dropped another $100 on it and got it.(I have no regrets, but also don't do what I did lmao)

From there on, the Kazuha Year began. For ~a year after I got Kazuha and FS, I solely strongboxed VV for a year, trying to make him the best he could possibly be. I got the final piece for the first completed build on 7/15/24, and it looked like this at the time

1,013 em and 190 er. It was basically perfect.

I gave him his first crown, his burst, on 7/22/24, but I don't have a screenshot of that.

If I had made this post pre-5.0, that would be it. But 5.0 is here.

First, I hit soft pity(78) on 9/3/24 and won my first 50/50 since Hu Tao in 4.1 and got c1.

Then, I finally got enough sanctifying elixirs, and used them on a new circlet, making this his final build.

At this point in my account, c2 Kazuha is basically just an 8% boost to his elemental damage buff, so I wasn't going to really try to get it, but I do like Kachina as a character so I decided to keep going.

3 days later, on 9/6/24, I was on 10 pity, and did my dailies and ended up with 9 pulls. I decided to wander around Natlan a bit to try and get the final one to do a 10 pull.

I finished a series of puzzles, had enough pulls, and pressed the button. The wish screen lagged slightly, and even though that happens often on my tablet, I knew. That lag was different.

The wish went gold, and after a couple seconds worth of anxiety, I was graced with my very own c2 Kazuha

And 2 days later, I had gathered the weekly boss drops, and farmed the Liyue talent domain, and I gave my favorite character the last two crowns he has long deserved.

Now he looks like this, which until I inevitably give in and go back to VV, he will stay like this.

I'm wondering Admins, how good is your gacha pull when you try for a certain character?

For me, I've been trying for Bennett since I started playing during version 1.2 and he just...Won't come home? I've gotten practically every four star except him?

luckily enough for me, both five stars that i really wanted (tartaglia and zhongli) came home on soft pity. consecutively. i don't try super hard for four stars tho.

i have all the 4 stars but it took until like ar 53 for me to get benny lol🥲 i've also lost every single 50/50 (i do single pulls for everyone bc i have no self control) but luckily i had guaranteed for zhongli and ayaka <3

this is the story of how i almost rage quit genshin. i got mona on hu tao banner, i got zhongli after by accident despite really disliking him at the time, i got c6 fischl while trying to get rosaria constellations (i still have c0), and i got c6 xingqiu while trying to get beidou (the only 4 star i do not have and the only one i want), i got 2 five-star swords and 0 five-star characters on the standard banner, and then i got jean after pulling for ayaka. that is when i rage quitted genshin. but then i got bored so i started playing again and like 10 wishes later i got ayaka. i feel like my luck is really good now so im happy i feel life turning around for me

genshin anon! yeah the sacrificial one can have the skill useable again after it's used! gosh i pull all the claymores :/ when i was doing some pulls to try to get homa, i got the wolf's gravestone instead AND i finally hit pity on my standard banner (i only use the free pulls on that) and got the freaking skyward claymore from it so.... yay.... guess xinyan can get a new claymore and if i ever pull diluc... ive got his claymore.... lol.

(2/5) oo nice! id definitely give bennett a try then. i use him in spiral abyss but my normal healer is diona. but he does really good. yeah i agree ): from what ive heard honkai had the same type of update schedule and it worked for that so.. im sure whenever a new region comes out everyone will come back and it'll bring more people in? but yeah exploring is so much fun and we just have to wait all the time. it would be nice to have a bit more events in between.

(4/5) probably won't pull anymore to save for childe. since c2 sucrose is good and i have razor now. i enjoyed his playstyle. it definitely took a bit to get used to but i think by the end of his story quest i had it. aww i love bow users! haha. i love using polearms and bows the most. i walk around the world with xiao, hu tao, venti, and diona lol. yeah i can't wait to see that boss then!! more story!!! did you do the hangouts yet? i unlocked barbara and noelle but i haven't done them yet.

(5/5) ill do the hangouts once i get bored or something lol. yeah rosaria... lol. ill still try to get her (mainly since ill be trying to get childe) but.. hopefully we fid out she isn't as rude as she was in albedo's quest lol. she seems fun to play though from what ive seen. and yeah the most things you get are from ascending! but hp and def i think still increase pretty well while leveling up. attack doesnt change a whole lot just from leveling up.

ohhhh okay!! i think i have the bow version on fischl but that was because some guide told me to i didn’t actually understand what it meant jaskdfla omg nice!! the only 5 star weapon i have is the skyward sword who i just put on my most dps sword user at the moment lmao (currently bennet i guess)

and i am starting to get used to him!! actually between him, xingqiu, and chongyun i’m getting elemental reactions for days so it almost makes xiao the pointless member on my team now since he’s a pretty selfish character lmaoo once he gets to friendship level 10 i might swap him out again for a more support character like fischl and make bennet the main dps. 

yeah!!! but i get they have to. program all the events ajsdkflaj in all honestly i think the rate they’re doing things is fine, but i do hope i don’t lose interest before another region comes out LMAO

i’m really really liking the windblume festival!!! maybe it’s not as like. pretty as liyue but the events are definitely WAY more fun ones that’s for sure. like even if i don’t get extra rewards some of them are just fun to play which is an indicator of like. a good minigame lmaooo. like the lyre/music one i really really want those perfect scores ajfskdl

i definitely like polearms and claymores the best! and as suggested earlier i walk around with whoever i’m trying to build friendship levels with while still having a balanced team so right now its xiao, bennet, xinqiu, and chongyun!! chongyun there bc the xinqiu/chongyun besties pair >>>>>>>>>>> for elemental reactions AND character stories lmao. i actually played chongyun’s hangout walking around as xinqiu which was funnier when chongyun mentioned xinqiu lmaoo.

i’ve done chongyun’s and barbara’s, i’m probably gonna do bennet’s next!! i like the hangouts, they do get a little tedious with the multiple endings but that’s the nature of these kinds of storyline-based games and i’m at least glad they give you the option to skip to certain parts of the story instead of restarting from the beginning (that would truly suck lmao). and at least you get rewards for each one.

lmaooo yup rosaria we’ll see... since she’s kind of featured i wonder if she’ll show up in the main storyline for the windblume festival like venti. but yeah she looks super fun to play, and since i love polearms + claymores and she’s a polearm user who looks like she fights like a claymore user i’m very 👀👀👀

ah thank you for your input! yeah I definitely think presentation is really big in genshin fandom hdshf there are so many good looking character banners and aesthetics on text posts, although I think genshin fandom is really visually focused in general so it makes sense. my other fandom is really canon divergent and although it's still a lot easier for art to get more notes than writing, there's a solid following for general character hcs since so many people have interpretations of characters that are wayyyy different from canon lol.

have you done kokomi's quest yet and if so thoughts 0-0 (i just finished it hdfskf) I will be awaiting your college au kokomi thoughts! uni aus are my favorite aus along with harry potter aus lol I have so much brainrot for those. i haven't heard of that manhwa!! it also seems like it got turned into a show? i will have a look (that dude Is lowkey creepy ahshdhsf. but also it fits Well)
