I'm starting to see ppl talk abt updating their artfight pages and at first I was like what why it's still months away and then it hit me that by months it was two months and now I'm just silently sweating as my anual side project to remake the eternal gales refs and give them all icons comes back to haunt me

I'M PARTICIPATING IN ARTFIGHT

I took a while, but i finally finished an adequate number of refsheets for it!

In order you have Max and Alëxice, two third of the cast of an old webcomic i worked on. They used to run an inn designed to rob people, but eventually had to leave it behind on a whim to save the world.

Next is Sarah Blackblood, a less-than-a-game used dnd oc which i ended up building an extensive world around. Usually serves as a go-to when it comes to my ocs.

Following them is the main character of an old Minecraft Machinima i made years ago, which still goes nameless, and the antagonist of its first chapter, Sexy Demon Dude. That's his name. It's in the credits.

Finally i added the culmination of years of building upon my first sona, through writing, roleplaying outside with childhood friends and most importantly, following her journey through Terraria, to the point where she is now her own entirely unique character. Additionally, I added a character i played in a much more recent playthrough of the game as well. I feel as if both are just as iconic, y'know kind of on a personal level but whatever, they have cool designs too.

Originally a few more were going to be present, including my sona, but i'll keep them for next year... i think 7 is well enough for now.

Regardless, glad to have finally finished them all !! Sorry i'm 3 days late !! Here's my Artfight for anyone who's tempted to attack any of these goobers, i'm on team Werewolf, and good luck to everyone !!!

Howdy howdy!

It's been like,, half a year since I last posted art 😭😭 arts still slow but I'm getting there,, I decided to redesign my persona a bit (which I was supposed to do back in January but here we are) and I like the design and colors a lot more now so I'm happy with this!! I think it's also interesting to see some more consistency with my style now (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠) I also made a new icon too!

I'll do a mini art dump for some stuff related to Ryder (one of my ocs) at some point, but for now I'm getting ready for artfight! Next post is probably gonna be my artfight profile hopefully. Hope everyone's well, and hope everyone had a good pride month :)

It's that time again for the summary of art! 2022 is on its way out and it was certainly a year...

This was the year of the water tiger in the Chinese Zodiac. I enjoy using Zodiac things as prompts AND my birth year was of the tiger, so that is January's image. I used the lasso tool for a lineless look, it was fun.

February's image is a bunch of air type raptors of a species I have been thinking of for a while. I was trying to flesh out what markings they would have and what kinds of color morphs might exist. (front to back: rare (sunset), common (blue-jay), melanistic (dark), leucistic (light), and albino) Of course they are not finished (I guess headworlds are never really finished) but I would like to someday update my websites bestiary with all the characters and species I've created and these would be one of the featured ones.

March's image is for an Ovipets challenge that I won! It is a Catus with butterfly wings looking at butterflies in a field of clover.

In April I made a bunch of shuffle-style icons and little sprites for my characters for things like their toyhouse pages or my website... so basically a bunch a stuff that won't get posted by itself.

For May here is a sketch of Fulvina from Spectrobes (the thing my Fulvina is named after! I had to draw it eventually, but) I didn't finish it at the time because I was having trouble with the lines, though I do plan on finishing it. Spectrobes as a whole could use some more love!

June's image is Amdy as a Unicorn, as I was seeing Junicorn challenges but didn't want to draw something every single day. I also chose this because well, why do I have so many so-called shapeshifters yet I only draw them in one form? I should show what else they can do!

July is ArtFight month and this time around I found some very cool characters to draw including a dragon named Colors! This was very fun to draw.

August I created a character called Daemon, seen here. Haven't really fleshed him out much though XD.

September Flight Rising released a gene called Soap that makes the dragon extra shiny, and I knew I had to draw it. What better than a vaporwave dragon? Flight Rising has released a LOT of stuff this year now that I think about it!

For October, a WIP of Alban... didn't finish much this month. I wanted to draw some Halloween images and make a bat-sona but that didn't happen in time. Somewhat related, this is the third year in a row I started to feel depressed beginning in October and into the winter, DESPITE loving Halloween and colder weather, so I'm wondering if that's a sign of seasonal depression or something? Yeah.

November's image is more Ovipets, this time dogs (Canis and Lupus) playing in fallen leaves. Used lots of different CSP brushes in this one. (For the single purchase version, of course... as if I'd deal with a monthly subscription for an art program... I don't know who thought THAT was a good decision)

December I finished this piece of Cygnet. I was going to try to draw more for December, but the sheer cold of this country wide snowstorm(!) seems to have put me in hibernation mode, so I'm gonna go ahead and finish with this.

Now's also a good time to say that I still don't mess with ΝFТ's or АI art, (I don't consider either of these things to be “art” and I don't have the energy to argue about it) so I've been experimenting with new watermarks to try and combat that in a subtle way... still watching Twitter catch fire. Still wearing a mask (end date: undefined). Still love playing Legends Arceus... STILL too shy to socialize!! Come on, that's gonna end up being my new year's resolution for like, every year! Gosh XD But I must continue to try... I must..!

For Artfight, since I only submitted 6 OCs, I'm considering adding some OCs midway through the month, or when I come back from visiting my grandparents. Would that make sense? (Giving my 6 besties the initial run and then adding friends lol)

I don't know for sure who I'll add, though. I'm running into an issue that I call "being a writer first, and an artist second", in which many of my character designs aren't meant to be all that cool. It's notably the case with Murder Fabrication: aside from a few oversights that I'm fixing as I revamp the sprites (mostly done), my characters are very much intended to look like random ass people. With few exceptions (like Chloe dressing for her talent, Oscar being huge or Isabella having a specific fashion,) I meant to specifically have those characters with amazing talents look unidentifiable in a crowd. There are also cases in which I specifically tried to make an outfit bad or boring - like Ben's outfit that he sewed as a teen and now realises looks like shit, or handsome-charismatic-guy-Jan's bland uniform!

...All of that to say, I may have the best reasons in the world behind my simple design choices, the result is still that in the middle of a "draw cool designs" competition, they're not in their element. I was super embarrassed when I submitted Chris as my last character and she also wore a simple black outfit <(＿　＿)> This is her perfect outfit! She's comfortable! She didn't know there was a dress code!!!!

ANYWAY... This is a personal hang up, I don't assume anyone's coming to my page to be judgemental OTL... What I mean to say is that I don't know who I'll submit on top of these six, if I do in the future! I wanted to avoid submitting characters who have too much art compared to others, but I might submit Isabella, since she has a fullbody reference and she's one of my favourite designs...

I have a ton of characters who don't necessarily have drawn references :x And when I think about my other main cast, they also wear boring uniforms!!! Though it would be encouraged to draw them in different outfits, their default references would still be that grey uniform they all wear. If they have one at all. (Like what do I submit for Arès? Him dressed as Hoodlum from Akudama Drive? I've drawn Hermès a bunch... naked!!!!! Aphrodite styles her uniform but I only have an icon of her!!!!!!)

I have other miscellaneous characters, but most of them don't feel like priorities to me. Maybe I should submit Jan's dad for the DILF loving crowd

Well I've been working out this story about some phantom thieves / vigilantes who are working to take down a corrupt billionaire + police force in Chicago, and I'm vibing with them atm!

I think I've definitely described them before, but basically they're all based on playing cards :0 the main one is Diamonds, genderfluid icon, their brother Spades, and then Clubs and Hearts. They go between petty stuff like graffiting a police station to murdering a corrupt detective and a serial killer, so they have range lol

They call themselves the Royal Flush! They're v snazzy

The main characters are Eli, a detective that joins the police without enough qualifications and is thrown into the Royal Flush case, and Diamonds, the leader of the group! Each chapter switches POVs

I got gifted a character during Artfight that I've inserted into the story, and adding her in suddenly brought the whole story together, which is the most satisfying thing ever ^^ i have a plan in my notes of how I want it all to play out, but I'm still working on adding small details to flesh out relationships and stuff

The police characters are either corrupt and incompetent, or chill and unbothered, and while I absolutely do not like the police, I enjoy the detectives I've created for this story >:) you've got:

Eli, main character, who hasn't gone through police training and was thrown straight into detective work. Doesn't ever get enough sleep, runs on coffee, and isn't particularly dedicated to the police force, just trying to make money to help his sister

Roy, the typical chill detective who stays relatively calm in most situations. Looks 8 years older than he is, dresses in an unbuttoned shirt and a bomber jacket no matter the situation, and also is just trying to make money and keep himself afloat

And Aria, gifted character, who's actually a private investigator that the police force hires, definitely doesn't give a shit who she's working for until it comes into a plan. She part-owns a nightclub and is one of the baddest bitches I have the pleasure of writing

And ofc the Royal Flush are super fun to write too, but I don't wanna ramble about them for too long so I'll just summarize with;

Diamond, the frontman who lives for performing and gets the biggest justice boner an afab could possibly get

Spades, their brother, the biggest homosexual Chicago's ever seen, who also enjoys the spotlight but is content just helping out

Clubs, the hitman, keeps everyone on track and pulls off the harder things to do like disarming and murder

And Hearts, the woman in the chair, Chicago's aroace queen who manages the social media aspect of being an illegal vigilante group

I'm very excited about them :) after writing all of this I realize i actually have another story that might've been more exciting to read about but hey!! I still think these guys are really cool :] tysm for asking!!

Anyway, hello! My name is Storm. I'm somewhere on the aplatonic spectrum, greyromantic, biromantic, asexual, and a trans tomboy. I'm also genderfluid and pronounfluid, so my pronouns often change, but for the most part I update my blog description whenever they change, so you can look for my current pronouns there (they have sparkly emojis surrounding them) :)

This is a multifandom blog. My fandoms are marvel/Loki (mcu and comics), Elder Scrolls, LotR, OUAT, Doctor Who, BBC Merlin, PJO/HOO, and MCGA. I'm probably forgetting some. Elder Scrolls is my current hyperfixation, so you'll probably see a lot more of that than anything else atm. My obsession has become a problem, but it's fine (lying).

I also have numerous mental health issues and neurodivergent conditions that I'm very open about. I have depression, anxiety, adhd, ocd, and autism.

I do write fanfiction, and I do take requests, but note that I don't write smut and may take a bit to fulfill requests. The same goes for my art.
