i tend to stick to one fandom at a time, so for now i'm writing hellcheer for stranger things, but in the past i've written for: 1d, julie and the phantoms, shadowhunters, 911, and young royals! (some of those were just one-offs tho)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

yes! i try to respond to every comment i get, tho sometimes i don't reply to ones that are like replies to my previous comments bc that gets to be too much. i also moderate all my comments so i tend to delete the ones that are rude (which truthfully i do not get a lot of, which is nice!)

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

oh without a doubt that's always have & i always will. i set out to write a very sad fic and that's exactly what i did.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i'd say this could apply to pretty much every other one of my fics bc i do prefer a happy ending since isn't that what we're mostly all here for??? happy endings for our blorbos???

8. Do you get hate on fics?

i have in the past. it's part of the reason why i started moderating comments. i simply don't understand why someone would take time out of their day to read something when they usually know they aren't going to like it before they've even started, and then take MORE time to write a nasty comment to someone who shared their work FOR FREE. go be miserable somewhere else, thank you!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

yes! all kinds, i suppose. i'm not really sure what that second question means.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

i don't think AUs count as crossovers so ... no? i once had an idea for a 1d/teen wolf crossover a million years ago but that never really made it out of my head much less onto ao3. once upon a time i also had an idea for a jatp/hellcheer crossover ... that could maybe still happen.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

yes. someone once reposted several jatp fics of mine to fucking wattpad (derogatory) and only deleted them after i commented on every. single. one. calling them out for it. wattpad did fucking nothing.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

no, but i've had a couple people ask over the years.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

yes! so far i think the only one that's ever been posted is the only thing i want (when one drop hits my mouth) with my dear friend @cunnninghams, but many fics have been brainstormed over the years with grand plans of one day being written! (the omfd s2 we dreamed up lives on in our hearts if not our memories @magicalrocketships)

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

ughhhh i don't want to say i'll never finish it but we're edging towards a year since i last updated i roll 'til i change my luck and i just have zero will to go back to it. but! i really don't want to delete it either so we'll just have to wait and see :(

16. What are your writing strengths?

i take very great pride in my dialogue. my sister read one of my works recently and complimented my dialogue and i was all 🥰🥰🥰 over it. i've also had multiple people compliment my ability to write scenes well enough that they can see/hear them in their heads and i absolutely love that because that's exactly how i write!! i have a very vivid imagination and it takes a lot of effort to try and get it right on the page.

BREVITY.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

english is bad enough i don't need to be stupid in another language.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

once upon a time i wrote self-insert lotr rpf fic that will never, ever see the light of day (shut up i was like eleven) BUT the first fic i actually posted for other people to read (which has subsequently been deleted from internet existence) was a bandom fic specifically about simple plan lmfao

20. Favorite fic you've written?

oh, that's so hard. if i'm going by fandom, for 1d it's these four walls and me bc that fic has a piece of my soul forever. for jatp, it's a tie between coping and stubborn, selfish, easily jealous (the former because it helped soothe the sting of the show getting cancelled, and the latter because i love my stupid fucked up boys who can't get their shit together to say i love you). and for stranger things, it's if we don't leave this town (we might never make it out) because i had the most wonderful time writing it and i'm so glad so many people felt so deeply connected to the story.

ive seeing these anons giving advice and im glad we're all wondering why you aren't more well known. ive been reading acotar but it took me a while to find your blog and i really was surprised i hadn't found it sooner because you're a great writer and you also write a lot, so you should be on searches and stuff a lot. i thought it was because you wrote a lot of dark fics at first and that's not for everyone but you also write a lot of others so im not sure how you don't get way more notes on your fics. i think what the other anon said about interacting with other writers and im not familiar with the examples they gave tbh but yeah there's a few blogs that interact with each other a lot so you know they're friends (azsazz and acourtofthristandmen and more) but if you don't know them or you're not really good at/ want to you don't have to try to interact with them, i think you should bet on interacting with your audience more because that's what keeps people coming back. dont be afraid to post stuff on here either, this is your blog so you can post, especially asks because we do love seeing our asks answered and if people don't see their asks answered they might not keep sending them bc they're basically being ignored.

I mean, is there some setting I might need to switch on or off? It took me months to figure out how to link posts and even longer to discover the whole ‘read more’ thing so I wonder if there’s just a really obvious button that’s labelled “share work” or something and i’ve just entirely missed it 😭

Honestly I’m very happy with how things are at the moment, like having people write in if they enjoy a fic, offering ideas, giving advice—I’d much rather keep things as they are than maybe having more notes on a fic but less people knowing this blog well enough to want to send in requests or talk?

I hope that doesn’t sound ungrateful or anything, it’s just that I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining I might not be getting enough because I genuinely I love how things are at the moment 🧡💛

Okay okay!! So!! I don’t know if this is a common thing other blogs do, but there are people I see interacting and I was thinking it would be fun to include you too? I know some people might find that stressful though and I don’t want to scare anyone off, but I thought it might be fun to tag some of you guys in those tag games? Solely because before I started writing, people who wrote fanfics seemed so far off in the distance and that is genuinely not the case, so I thought it might help people feel more comfortable in this space?

That is just an idea though, and I don’t even do tag games that often, so it wouldn’t be a regular occurrence or anything! :)

I’d like to clarify it’s not only not spamming things that makes me nervous to respond, but also because I don’t always know how much free time I’ll have in a day, so I often only have mornings to get to talk to people? I really hope no one feels ignored—generally if I haven’t answered something it’ll be because I simply didn’t get to find the time that day to get around to it? But I completely get that it can be discouraging to manage to send an ask in then it doesn’t get answered :/

I'm not sure if you're comfortable with this but the anon who asked you to write the Joong imagine where they are best friends and she grows up and gets into San because she thinks Joong, her childhood friend, doesn't like her back. I saw that exact same ask, word for word in not one, but three pple, two of whom I follow on my for-you page. I thought I was tripping but then I scrolled up and I was like yeah these really are three different people who have received the same ask.

If you aren't/are comfortable with that, I just would like to let you know. I just thought I would tell you first since between the four people, you were the first person I followed.

I just don't understand personally why someone would do that, since the only reason I request stuff from a specific writer is because I would like to see my and their ideas merge, as well as their writing style, who they would portray the request, how their mind works as a writer.Why exactly would you want a million different people to write the same thing? Are you comparing them or something?

I'm sorry if I blew up on you, that kind of behavior just makes me mad. If I was overreacting, pls tell me, I won't mind🥲💜💜

i agree, i don’t understand why they’d want to do that. i get they’d really want to see this fic but, hear me out, maybe don’t go around parading it to every door? it takes a very long time to write a fic, to connect everything alongside the plot, word building, characters and dialogues. either you ask one person, or write the fic yourself tbh, as of now, i’m not writing that request 🤚🏻

i love your replies to the writer’s ask! about the compliment you gave yourself, yes. i do agree. i’m trying to recall which HQ fanfic of yours i first read. i’ve read so many of your works from that era. as i’m sieving through my memories, a few works of yours pop up like kageyama & the world responding?? daichi’s story with the prompt on goodbyes? adore the way you hook and drag. without looking at your masterlist, which story immediately comes to mind when you think of “time”?

about driving, since i’m still new i haven’t driven much. i’m very excited to cruise on the roads, but i’m also really bad at overtaking (i.e. i can overtake—or else how would i have passed my driving test—but i haven’t done it when cars are going fast & when it’s crowded… road conditions for my test were milder). it’s scary… SJDJSJDJSJ. i’ll hopefully be driving soon with my parent who can instruct me. i think for the time being, as i get used to the car, i have to focus, but i look forward to blasting music while driving 👍 — @anonymilk

uGH that reaper!kageyama x angel!reader fic is still one of my all time favs u__u im so happy you remember that one. sldkfjasd and the daichi story T^T -- i realized that pre-hiatus i was so so so kagehina biased with a hard sprinkling of suga but then post-hiatus i came back and suddenly i'm a daichi stan like is this..... IRL character dev bro. am i just into the Greenest of Green Flags now. not that i dont still adore kagehina bc i do. u__u they are my babies.

in terms of "time" -- i think the one that comes to mind most immediately is the hinata "length of daylight" fic i wrote! it remains one of my fav hinata fics i've written to date :D

for driving -- it def is something that needs lots of practice! but you'll get there!!! i'm excited for you!!!! and yeah to this day, i hate overtaking ppl but it's a necessary evil LOL

re: agha shahid ali YES oh my god okay. i love his stuff. i actually found him when i saw a poem of his on the new york subway lol im not even kidding. and it still remains one of my favorite poems of his to this day -- it's called Stationary, and it goes like this:

The moon did not become the sun. It just fell on the desert in great sheets, reams of silver handmade by you. The night is your cottage industry now, the day is your brisk emporium. The world is full of paper. Write to me.

i think the reason i fell so in love with it is because every single line is so vivid. not to say that most of his other poems aren't like this as well but like. idk something about this just spoke to me so much? i love love love metaphors about like irl things turning /into/ paper or ink or like... writing-related stuff. it's just such a beautiful image to me. also like there's a phrase in every line that strikes me "reams of silver", "brisk emporium" -- and something about the sentence "the world is full of paper" makes me like want to yell bc it's so??? GOOD??? bc yes!!! the world is full of paper!!!!!

and obviously, the ending just SMACKS you doesn't it? write to me. ugh. UGH. ugh its so good.

sometimes this poem still comes back to me in random moments and it makes me happy.

and now for some not so fun stuff. tw for like... ilness and death but yeah uh.

this entire summer has just been kind of ass tbh??? like. during the single month of july, we had 4 people in my family/friend circle pass away -- 2 grandparents, 1 uncle, 1 friend of a friend (who was literally only 24yrs old!!! bruh!!!! WTF!!!). we thought August was going to be chiller, but nope. last day of Aug, last thursday, my boss's wife passed away after battling with cancer for 2+ years.

it hit hard for our entire team at work bc like. she was younger than my mom. and my boss is such an industry veteran, and he and his wife have been married for 17 years, they have a 13yr old son like... it just sucked all around. we all went to the funeral this past wednesday. it was a beautiful service, but obviously really freaking sad. half our entire office was there, everyone was crying. i was crying like. it was a mess.

and then right after, i think my body had had ENOUGH of this nonsense, and i got a really bad fever literally ONE HOUR after i got home from the funeral. and i've been sick since then.

it's just been... unreasonably rough... i'm really hoping that this is the last big bad thing that's gonna happen for the rest of the year. like. im so exhausted -- pls @ the universe LOL. take it easy on us okay.

so yeah. i try to keep the heavy stuff off this blog bc it's supposed to be a place where i come to be happy and write things that make me happy so i haven't talked about this much but u__u since you asked, i didn't wanna just be like "oh yeah everything is fine" when it's not LOL

3. what are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics? pining, completely off-the-wall premises, people being covered in blood, cars, friends to lovers, & general sillyness broken up by characters being emotionally devestated :))

11. are you partial to a certain character/pairing or are you more equal-opportunity? If you are partial to any character/pairing, why do you think that is? i do try my best to distribute my love and fic writing across all the pairings, but i am human i am willing to admit that i occasisionally truck with favoritism (shh don't tell anyone) i have always had a soft-spot for writing lashton and malum, partly bc of what was going on in the fic community when i joined & bc i think their dynamics are pretty natural for me to write. like i can't imagine writing malum as anything other than friends to lovers which is one of my favorite tropes, and lashton are very easy to emotionally devestate bc i have a pretty clear idea of what my fictionalized versions of them would do in response to x thing happening to the other. but i also go through spirts of favoring other pairings! there was a period of time where all the wips i started were mashton (and someday i will finish them,,, someday)

14. are there any tropes you would only read if written by a trusted friend or writer? oh definitely! i think anything that starts to enter the morally grey area (ie fics involving violence or sa or sh) are ones that i don't tend to read unless i know the author's work, just bc it can be really easy to butcher a darker-themed fic, either making it unrealistic or overly romanticized or too preachy for my tastes. i also tend to be pretty hesitant to read fics that are written in a non-au (or in an au very similar to our world), and i like to be familiar with what the author thinks of each of the band members before i dive in. it's fine if their interpretation is different from mine (and it often is lol) but i like to know what to expect and know that they aren't going to be portrayed in an incredibly flat manner. what can i say i'm a bit of a writing snob lol

18. if you wrote a sequel to [fear the fever], what would it involve? welll i may or may not already have a doc with sequel ideas for this fic sooo 👀 i'm still deciding exactly how i want to handle it, but the idea currently in the lead is following them on their roadtrip to malum's wedding and exploring all the struggles that would come with that (only being able to travel when the sun's down, dealing with luke's craving and being regularly trapped in smaller spaces together like the car & motel rooms) and *meanwhile* we'd be following mali koa, who is also on the way to the wedding but she's a secret vampire hunter *cue dramatic music* who picks up on signs that a newborn vampire is heading the same way she is and decides to track it down along the way. the drama! the suspense! the potential! i would love love love to write this and it may be the next long(er) fic i write after i finish my monstrosity of a wip
