I am doing well, crafting ouro alongside some personal shifts and growth and setbacks and victories. it has been a godsend to take all this pressure off for this period and do things my way. though, I'll say: while it has taken and will probably take another while, this silence will be broken at some point. I'll avoid saying soon only because I'm staunchly sticking to my pace&process. however !! I finished the draft for the first book yesterday. !! I am currently doing some hefty edits, collecting art and testing coding (&learning something new a hundred times over, over, again, whether it be storycrafting, interactivity, ui design, social media, art, code ... the list goes on) and so for the most part, I'm having a good time, as long as we count the entire spectrum of the human condition as a mostly good time. pfft.

I miss hanging out here too! I genuinely can't wait to get back to online shenanigans once I feel ready for it; if you'll have me, of course. I can imagine that this type of secret development is frustrating and everyone has their limit. It means a lot that you sent this my way. Hope you're doing well too. <3

For any of my fellow north american elvis fans that weren’t able to watch the new Elvis documentary on amazon, I have found a way to watch it 👀

initially I wanted nothing to do with the doc but then I got nosy and tbh it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but Alanna Nash was somehow worse than expected 😑

Here’s are the steps:

1. Download ExpressVPN through the app store

2. There are 2 options once downloaded: a free trial, or a one month subscription for $13. Personally I chose the one for $13 just because I always forget to end free trials and this one charges $99 afterwards😫

3. Once you have chosen either the free trial or the one month subscription follow the in-app instructions for the set up and once set up you are going to choose New Zealand as the location and then click the power button

(it should look like the first picture once activated and you will know it worked when it’s says “vpn” next to the WiFi symbol in the top left of your screen)

4. After that, download the app TVNZ+ through the app Store which is a free tv show/movie site only available in New Zealand

5. You will have to make an account on TVNZ+ but it is free and only requires an email and a password

6. On the TVNZ+ app the documentary is called Elvis: Heartbreaker. I recommended not leaving the app while watching because the vpn’s connection can be sensitive and log you out, and then you will have to log back into the app which gets annoying 😭 (also just ignore any error notification that says for NZ residents only, just click out of it and continue logging in)

7. Since Alanna Nash is a spiteful nasty hag, I highly recommend skipping her speaking parts!! 😃

Just watched the Laverne & Shirley episode titled “The Slow Child” (s3ep15) and… holy shit the way they handled Amy was so poignant and I think I love Lenny ten times more than I previously did (he was already my favorite). This is the only episode that made me start bawling. Actual 10/10 episode. A must watch.

finished reading “family family” by laurie frankel!!! a 5/5 read!!!

a wonderful read that i didn’t see coming. i found out about 'family, family' while searching for a new read that wouldn’t be the same as the last 5 previous books i’d read (sapphic sad rom). and oh god, i’m so glad i gave it a chance!! amusing but also thought-provoking, ‘family, family’ is a real page turner that keeps you on your toes. positive representation matters!

Also I can't believe I'm saying this about a persona 5 spinoff but p5t is actually... Surprisingly good? The character dynamics within the phantom thieves are much more fleshed out (which is something I always took issue with in the original game), the character screentime is a lot more balanced and mostly no flanderisation (aka yusuke gets to Do Things for once, makoto gets to Not Do Everything thank god, morgana is the most likeable he's ever been to me), the new characters are incredibly fun and executed very well especially for spinoff-only characters, the plot concepts are interesting, the sprites are very fun and expressive, like. idk I just didn't expect it to make up for some of my issues with the main game tbh!! a pleasant surprise for sure
