TMA x Hetalia crossovers are so good actually cuz the nations as a concept are pretty creepy if you think about it. Like you’re telling me that there are people who are not people out there that can know you deeply and fundamentally as a person and a timeline if you look into a certain one’s eyes? That have lived quite literally since the beginning of civilizations whom all the blessings and curses of humanity have been thrust upon?? Witnesses to our rise and downfall??? And they’re just OUT THERE?????

In the Magnus Institute there is a hallway lined with portraits of important founders and sponsors only one of which is a painting done in the 1800s of a young man with green eyes and the thickest eyebrows. A portrait that looks suspiciously like the guy who pops in from time to time to have private meetings with Elias. Must be a descendant.

I headcanon that countries faces can’t be digitally recorded in any matter and if they are photographed they become blurry and distorted or obscured by a conveniently passing object or person so the only way they can be portrayed is through drawings. Anyways read Changing Face by Slovenskych on ao3 it gave me so many brainworms that I’m this close to mailing them my hospital bill :)

I WAS IN THE NIGHTSHADES LIBRARY, SLUMPED AGAINST ONE OF THE SUPPORT BEAMS AS I READ THE BOOK I’D BEEN STUCK ON FOR THE PAST WEEK. A bowl of grapes on one side of me, occasionally dipping my hand in to grab a few and plop them in my mouth, eyes scanning word after word, paying no mind to my surroundings.

That was, until I heard the familiar screeching of the statue opening to the library. My face screwed in mild confusion, not expecting anyone to be coming. Especially at this hour — it was half past 11 and I should have very well been in my dorm, sleeping. But what Weems and the other staff didn’t know couldn’t hurt them, right?

The footsteps that descended the curved staircases were heavy and frantic, tattered sneakers coming into view as they practically flew down the steps. Fully lifting my head from the worn pages of the novel I was reading, I waited to see who had entered the library — seeing as only a handful of people knew it existed.

However, the face that followed was unexpected. A head of red hair and glasses — what was Rowan doing here? He got kicked out weeks ago. 

He didn’t seem to notice me as he eagerly scanned the bookshelves for…whatever it was he was looking for.

He looked stressed…erratic. Almost like a wild animal, if I’m being honest. He’d been acting strange ever since the new girl showed up but he looked worse than he did when we told him we couldn’t keep him around a couple weeks back. He had deep, red bags under his eyes and his hair looked like he either hadn’t touched it in days or couldn’t stop touching it. 

I let the grape clenched between my fingers fall into the bowl and let the book fall shut, the sudden noise causing the boy to whip around until he set his eyes on me. His shaky gaze went wide before hardening into a glare that I chose to ignore.

Setting the book on the ground, I stood slowly, dusting off my pants as I did so. “Rowan, shouldn’t be in here. You’re not a Nightshade, anymore.” I stated, keeping my distance.

“Y/n…” He muttered my name as if he was scared, putting his hands palm-side down in front of him as he inched closer. “I just need one thing. You don’t have to tell anyone I was here. I’ll be in and out, ’kay? I-I swear.”

I shook my head with regret, hugging myself close with the sleeves of my sweater pulled over my hands. “Rowan, I can’t- It’s not up to me. And even if it was, I'd tell you the same thing. You’ve been off lately…” I spoke meekly, not wanting to set him off as it has been easy to do that lately. Too easy. Dangerously easy.

His eyes squinted, his motions to come closer halting in a heartbeat. A deep scowl formed on his face. “Off? I’ve been off?” He laughed bitterly, looking up at the library ceiling. “That’s really funny coming from one of the elitist assholes who kicked me out of their little secret society the second I didn’t fit your standards anymore.” He snapped, throwing his hand out at me.

My head fell to the side as he spoke, lips parting to speak. “We kicked you out, Rowan, because you were losing your shit and we got sick of your tantrums. It seems not much has changed.” I reprimanded sternly. He started to take slow, calculated steps towards me. So, I started to walk around him, my back going from facing the support beams to me standing in front of the bookshelf, Rowan never taking his eyes off of me. We circled one another, almost taking the others place, with him now standing close to my abandoned book and bowl of grapes. “You’re dangerous. To yourself and us. And we don’t want to get caught up with whatever theory you’re chasing.”

“It's not a theory! It’s-” He took a deep breath, pinching the skin between his brows. “Damn it! Why are all of you so oblivious?! You can’t see the real danger that’s right in front of you-”

He was becoming volatile and unpredictable, in his words and movements. Grasping at his hair as his face became a deep, angry shade of red. “Rowan, you should leave.”

“NO! No, I’m not leaving until I get what I came here for-” He spoke quickly, his words jumbling together. He started towards me, in long strides and I almost didn’t see him coming. I wasn’t thinking clearly and he was starting to scare me.

“Rowan!” I shouted, the sound echoing of the walls and halting his movements. “Just go! I don’t want to hurt you but you’re making this more difficult than it needs to be.”

“I need the book…” He muttered, eyes glancing over the tiles on the floor frantically.

“What-”

“Just give me the damn book!” He shouted, finally snapping.

His right hand shot out and I could feel my body leave the floor as I flew back, my head hitting the wood of the bookshelves, disorienting me for a few moments. My head was spinning and the room was split into two as I tried to regain my consciousness. 

All of a sudden, what sounded like two pairs of footsteps were trampling down the steps, two blurry figures coming into view and shouting at Rowan. Inaudible statements I couldn’t make out. 

When my senses balanced back out, I could finally see the two people who’d entered the hidden library — Ajax and Bianca, shouting worriedly at Rowan.

“What the hell?! Stop!”

“Rowan, let her go!”

Rowan was simply shaking his head and squinting his eyes so tight, it had to have hurt. It looked like he was trying to block out his own thoughts and failing miserably. 

“Mmm.. shut up!” The angry boy shouted, causing his psychic hold on me to somehow put more pressure on my chest, constricting my airflow as I gasped for air — my chest was caving in. And if he didn't let me down, I knew I might die.

“You’re gonna kill her! Put her down!” Bianca pleaded. None of us were thinking straight. I looked ahead at my best friend and boyfriend, my eyes watering in struggle as my fists clenched at nothing. 

They spared a glance at one another before Ajax was reaching up at his beanie, going to tug it off before Bianca stopped him — shaking her head ‘no’ before she was marching up to Rowan and throwing his shoulder back.

Using her siren voice to force him into capitulation. “Put her down.”

Rowan's hands fell to his side limply, my lungs filling with air as my body slid rapidly down the wood of bookshelves and Ajax sped across the room as fast as he could to catch my frame before it collided with the hard floor.

His arms went under me, holding me bridal style before sitting down and lifting my head onto his lap, rubbing my cheek with one hand as I gripped the sleeve of his hoodie with mine.

“Breathe, it’s okay. You’re okay, it's alright. I got you...” he coaxed as I caught my breath.

Once I was breathing, shakily but breathing nonetheless, his head snapped to Rowan who was arguing to Bianca. “What the fuck is wrong with you?” He growled. “You could have killed her!”

“Ajax, it’s fine.” His gaze whipped back down to me, his glare harsh and angry — frightened. 

“Fine?” He said incredulously. “That wasn’t fine! He isn’t even supposed to be here. This is why we kicked him to the curb in the first place.” He ranted, turning back to Rowan who looked regretful about his actions but not necessarily sorry. “Because we knew some shit like this was bound to happen!” 

“I didn’t mean to...She was-”

“I don’t give a fuck.” Ajax said lowly, his eyes hard and dark. 

“You need to leave.” Bianca said sternly, arms crossed and eyes dead-set on him. Rowan stood in his place, stuttering like a fish out of water before she spoke again, much more conviction in her tone. “Now.”

Then the boy was dipping his head down and rushing up the stairs and out of the library. “Next time I see you, I’ll kick your ass!” Ajax shouted after him. He wasn’t the type to make threats but stoners had a type of strength like no other, so it wasn't one to be taken lightly.

Bianca rushed over to me who was now sitting up slow out of Ajax’s lap.

“Are you alright?” She asked worriedly. I nodded, coughing lightly once or twice. Ajax had a hand set on my back as I allowed my head to fall onto his chest, his free hand coming up to cradle my head.

“Thank you.” I muttered, voice still shaky. “But, why were you guys down here?”

Bianca smiled pitifully and rubbed her hand up and down my forearm. “I woke up and you weren't in the dorm, I got worried. I asked Ajax if you were with him and he said no, said he had an idea where you might be.”

“I told you to stop coming down here alone.” Ajax reminded firmly, looking down at me from where I was perched against his chest. I muttered an ‘I know’ and a ‘sorry’ before letting my arms go around his waist and hug him closer. Bianca let her hand fall from my arm, sending us both a look before bidding goodnight and leaving the library. 

Ajax and I sat like that for a while before he moved to stand, my arms falling from him as he rose. Dusting off his pajama pants, he outstretched a hand to help me stand. I wrapped both of my arms around one of his as we left the library together — my bowl of grapes and book abandoned and long forgotten.

When we got outside, I clung to him tighter as a chill swept by, my lungs thanking the breeze. “Can I sleep with you tonight?”

He didn’t stop walking as he leaned to kiss the top of my forehead. “‘Course you can.” He replied as we continued to walk together.

We made it to his room without being caught, going inside and getting comfortable under his covers. It wasn’t long before we clung to each so close, you couldn’t tell where he started and I ended.

“I’m sorry that happened to you. But I promise I won’t let it happen again.” He assured me sleepily.

“I know., but it wasn't your fault.” I mumbled, burying my face in his chest. “Love you.” 

“I love you, too.” He muttered, lifting my chin to peck my lips before allowing me to bury my face into his chest once more. His arms tugged me closer. I knew he was still fuming from what happened and I'd have to try and talk him down from potentially killing Rowan, or recruit Xavier to do it for me. In a weird way, I found it endearing to know he cared so much. But I don't like to see him upset.

And even though my chest still felt heavy and achy, and I’d have to sneak back to the girl’s dorm at the crack of dawn praying not to be spotted by Weems or the teachers — I knew it’d be okay.

-Honkai Star Rail men with a mentor!reader who dies protecting them-

Dan Heng: Dan Heng desperately tries to avoid what you’re about to do. Tries to push you away from him, out of the way, but it’s too late, you’re determined to take the blow for him. He watches in horror for a second as your body crumples to the floor, and he dispatches the enemy swiftly before he returns to your dying body, kneeling next to you. Once he realizes your dead, he doesn’t know WHAT to do. The Astral Express crew hold a very special funeral for you, and he spends his time locked in the archives, reading over and adding to your files, missing you so much. He treasures your lessons, writes them out and updates the archives on you. Soon you’re the most interesting file in the archive. And he’s glad when others read your story. But he doesn’t like to talk about what happened to you. It’s another one of his closely guarded secrets. He feels ashamed he couldn’t save you, and that his beloved mentor had to die.

Gepard Landau: Gepard knows what’s happening. He knows what’s coming but he can’t stop it. He just has to witness the horror as your life is ripped away in front of him. He holds your dying body, asking, pleading for a reason, why you would sacrifice yourself for him? You can’t answer. You die before you can. And he is left all alone in this world. The Silvermane guards and Supreme Guardian Bronya all honor your sacrifice at your funeral. Gepard gives the funeral speech, with a shaky voice, but he is determined to honor you and your life story. He’s a little lost without you. A little quieter, more stern, and he throws himself into his work to distract himself from your death. Not the healthiest, but it’s how he copes. And he has Serval there to help him cope too.

Jing Yuan: Jing Yuan can’t believe he’s losing another mentor figure. You hugged him and he had to feel the sensation of your life being ripped away from you, and now he’s on the ground, cradling your bleeding body, asking why you did it, not that you could answer him now. It’s happening again. AGAIN. He doesn’t know what to do, he gathers his nerves and avenges you, and then holds a grand funeral on the Luofu for you, attended by many many people. He doesn’t know what to do without you, but he knows he has to move on. He passes your teachings down onto Yanqing, and tells your story, honors your memory. You’re hailed as a hero on the Luofu, and the anniversary of your death is commemorated by many.

Luocha: as soon as the attack hits and you crumple in his arms, you know this man is DESPERATELY using every healing technique he knows, even the forbidden ones. He’s doing anything he can to bring you back, but you’re too far gone, your wounds are too deep. He can’t save you. For the first time, you see Luocha begin to cry a little bit as the life fades from your body. He remains with your body for a long while, trying every healing art, anything that might work even though he Knows you’re gone. He never surrenders you though. You become the next coffin he carries around, and if anyone asks he can warmly tell them that you were his beloved mentor, who died…protecting him.

But it would be really cool! Newpaper comics and the like were some of my biggest drawing inspirations as a young kid. It would be so nice to give it a go:)

I’ve thought about it, and, sadly no 💔 I’m incredibly busy, especially as of late due to family tragedy, and my health makes it hard to be online all the time.

I’m a mod for one discord server my friends made, and, I do a terrible job at being a mod. I’m never online and just don’t check in with servers, sorry! But I can always happily promote a fan one👍✨

There’s a small linkage to this. To be honest there was an grand, but old concept for this; but I might drop it as it doesn’t really impact the story in a positive way (as I see it). Or maybe I’ll continue with this, and see what I can do with it in the future.....! Maybe I’ll surprise myself, hahaha. Let’s find out!

But in general it was used before to signify angels, or death’s presence. I don’t know if I like this as I didn’t really use it for every angel in chapter one. For fun, this is what the map looks like when Gabriel and Vittorino talk and the static occurs. The Basilica walls change, and some angels appear.

Hmmm..... oh boy. I think there were a few changes, so I will attempt to remember, but I believe I changed;

Gabriel’s co worker plot line: Meh. It’s a good excuse for him to get to the Basilica. But it’s not so heavily talked about anymore. She is most likely just dead, or missing, and Gabriel can now use Vittorino to help regain his memories. Gabriel’s past overall has done a lot of last minute changes; I think all for the best.

Gabriel’s age: I made him younger. Just to look more helpless and you feel sorry for the guy.

Vittorino and Gabriel dialogue; Vittorino is meant to be ambiguously-taken by the audience when he meets Gabriel. You can decide to trust him, or not.

Accardi and Vittorino’s dialogue in Act 3: I believe I changed some things when they talk about Dante. The old version, I believe, there were indications that Accardi knew who Dante was? He still does for the updated full game, but, now with V2 he claims he can’t remember specifically just Dante’s appearance/face. Lots of face imagery here hahaha

Lots of little details I believe; like what notes Ryker found and such.

The static noise. Also is the reason why in the demo; Leon told Ryker to ignore the static noises; and why it’s not in the full game now. I really just didn’t care for that concept, and wish to use something better.

In the future, if given the chance; I would like to re-make the town and the townspeople. In general just change NPC outfits, way of speech, beliefs, etc. to really give the town a stranger feeling and making the player feel so out of place.

Hmmm..... sometimes I throw an intentional curve ball. Sometimes I don’t give a yes or a no to not spoil the future fun.  And yet, I have also deleted some asks that said too much. I try to delete outdated asks but I’m also just..... not online much and forget to go through my archive, hahaha^^;

Off the top of my head; nothing was spoilered in my answers, but, a lot of people ask me about “how will X character react to Accardi being outed as a cannibal?”

Well.... I’ve already decided to change someone’s reaction. I think this will be fun to write dialogue for, when I’m at that scene, hehe.

To give an idea; 8:11 is has been fully written for years now. But, it’s been a struggle to create a game with my health, busy schedule, etc. as a one-man-team. So, sometimes bits and pieces of the story, or characters, change over time like I do. New things inspire me, challenge me, etc. and I like to implement it in my stories. So far, the ideas and sets I’ve made for 8:11′s sequel overall make me extremely proud, and I hope to show it sometime in the near future when completed. 💙👍💙🦭💙

Hmmmm...... only recently! As a challenge I wish to find voices in the same language characters grew up speaking (i.e, Ryker = French, Gabriel = Italian, etc.) My girlfriend actually pointed out a really nice headcanon voice someone had for Ryker, which is this video;

I like to think Juliek was forced by his parents to learn violin or something; but he didn’t care for it. So he doesn’t pressure Amalia to pick up instruments if she doesn’t want to. But he loves to hear Accardi play. Maybe Susan knows how to play as well? Maybe instrument-playing is reserved for more upper class people in this world, as it sounds with above hahahaha.

Sorry for a disappointing answer anon, but, I just like arrows! They are often in my dreams, and fun to draw, so it’s common to just see in my artwork and stories hahahaha. I’ve had practice with shooting arrows and guns; and just like them. So I like to draw characters with weapons. Nothing much to it for 8:11′s story(symbolism wise); but maybe for future stories of mine.

Art Notes:

This is a gift / apology art for the user @slimsnipes , after them being very kind (and tolerant of my incessant blabber mouth… so sorry about that... 😭) during a stream and helping improve my art skills and motivating me to keep creating!

Please, if you haven’t already, go check them out! They make wonderful art— especially Speeding Bullet-related content!!! >u< — and are just really cool in general, so if you want to be crying in awe for two hours straight (like me…), here’s the person to go to!

As for the artwork, I made it really late at night and really quickly— not because I was rushing but more because I made it during a spontaneous burst of inspiration at 1AM that even my sleepiness couldn't stop. -w-

Probably due to my inability to think straight from the tardy inspo-explosion, I made a mistake when drawing where Spy's ear and jawline ended up being WAYYY closer to his eyes than physically possible. I re-drew it in Markup and covered it up with shading (because I can't be bothered to erase the colouring and rip the paper LOL), and now, aside from the general area and lineart being slightly darker than the rest of his face, you can barely tell there was a change at all!

Plus, it helped improve my colouring a little bit, which was great because that was my initial goal with this drawing in the first place.

This work is not something I'm immensely proud of since there are a lot of flaws with it, like the entire wonky anatomy of Spy, that I feel I could have avoided if I had just made it during the day and... not so randomly... but I'm still going to post it here just to document the experience and take it as a lesson to learn from!

And, again, to reiterate, my standards are pretty low for what I post here-- anything that doesn't look like chicken scratch or scribbles-- because I want to post things that I truly express myself with, so I won't be leaving this one out!

Anyhow, that's about it for this one! Remember to check out slimsnipes and Lizziefij when you can, they are both super talented and they've really shaped the way I create, and I'm sure they'll inspire you too, in the best way possible!

There was massive discourse yesterday because a guy had entered all of the f1 x reader tags bacalao demanding that woman write for m!readers and basically guilt tripping at the end. It asked asks then said it male men fell short when no one writes for them. Then, a few seconds later, he answered one of his ask and said he’s not comfortable with writing for anyone except for men and ftm which is fine. Everyone has their preference.

But we got everyone upset is the fact that he’s saying that it’s not fair that women are only writing for women when men in the fanfiction community barely get representation. And then he turns around and says he’s not comfortable writing for women. Can you see the hypocrisy?

And then, a few hours later, he decided to address women as “females” and one of his ask that he also put in all of the F1 X reader tags. And said that “females act like they’re the only ones in the world and act, like only females, read fanfiction”

First of all, referring to women, as females is kind of gross. Even if that’s what they are, it’s gross, referring to people as males and females. I don’t know why, but it feels so gross.

Second of all, someone, another m!reader writer, came out of the woodwork saying that everyone was being dramatic and he wasn’t being misogynistic or asking anyone to write for m!readers. He said that they were just complaining, and everybody in the comments decided to go tell them to write it themselves.

Everyone in the comments was telling them that women might not feel comfortable writing for anyone outside of their gender and if they really want something then they have to write it themselves because they aren’t gonna get it by complaining

Bro, it was a whole entire thing. And then the one who decided to jump in all of us sudden said that it wasn’t that serious, but he and the other guy were the ones who made it so serious 😭

I’m pretty sure all the stuff is still there if you really wanna see it. You’re probably gonna have to scroll for a bit in the tags now, but the ones I recommend using is f1 smau, I think. That or f1 x reader.

No one was being rude, everyone was just trying to tell them that, just like he doesn’t like writing for women, some women don’t like writing for men. We were also trying to tell them that when women tend to write for men, men come into their ask, and Berate them for doing so, so they want to refrain from doing that so they won’t get hate sent their way

It was a whole thing and honestly so entitled of the m!readers. Here’s the thing, you’re allowed to be upset that there’s a lack of stuff representing you and your community, but to come into the tag, where people want to write and say, “I request for some people to write for m!reader because it’s not fair, we don’t get enough representation and I can’t do it myself because I don’t want to, and I’m not good at writing”

Let me just tell you, that man has written before, and seemed absolutely fine with it. He also had the goal to say that men don’t get Much representation on social media at all. Especially the fanfiction community. Which is blatantly wrong. There is a huge community of people just for male readers on this app. On Wattpad. On archive of our own. I just don’t think he wants to look for it, or be a part of it.

The person that randomly said that he meant that he’s just sick of seeing people right for male reader, and then women come and say, “can we get that but in Female reader” that’s exactly what they’re doing to us.

I just wanted to catch you up on the all the drama if you didn’t know. It’s over now, I think. But it was wild. His post reeked of entitlement, so people rightfully called him out for it, and then somebody act like we were attacking him is basically the td;or

like i kinda understand where he’s coming from😕, like sometimes i wish there was more latina rep on this app, but yall don’t see me putting the blame on non latino writers ???? i write that stuff myself and don’t guilt trip others 💀

After a lot of heavy thinking, I decided that I will be archiving this blog- but I won’t be deleting anything!

I’ve been wanting to try something new and after everyone that happened, that kinda became the push I needed to make the final decision, which is honestly bittersweet.

If you want the entire reason I’m leaving, everything is under the cut. If you just want the TLDR: I’m archiving this blog and moving to another account (which I won’t be publicly sharing) so that I can have a fresh start. It’s been great writing for you guys and I love you all so much! I never thought I would make it to over 2k followers in my entire life, and it was so much fun interacting with y’all 😭💗 if I don’t see you over on my new account, I love and appreciate every single one of you and wish you all nothing but the best, and thanks for being a big part of making my life a little more brighter 🫶🏿

For those that want the full explanation, here it is! (And buckle up cause it’s long):

So basically the TLDR on the drama/discourse- I received multiple hate messages (one even being threatening) calling me a ped*phile for writing aged up SFW Miles Morales content. I didn’t post the messages publicly because 1. I don’t want to bring discourse/negativity on my blog because I want to keep things positive and 2. I didn’t want to give them attention cause I didn’t know if they were trolling or seriously upset. I made a post celebrating that I got my first ever hate messages as a joke/trying to laugh it off (cause it really did come out of nowhere lol) when the same group reblogged it and started to attack me more. I ended up blocking them and left it alone- but I didn’t feel comfortable writing for the time being because I’m thinking that I really did make people uncomfortable with my works- which was never the intention.

They never pointed out what work was the issue, but I’m assuming (because like I said, they never specify what work or works it was and I know it wasn’t anything I recently posted), it was of my earlier works (Miles with a Flirty!Reader that was posted in 2021). I reread it and not only was it cringe, but I could see how it could be problematic and make people uneasy.

I posted an apology because like I said- making people uncomfortable was never the intention- I was a dumb and inexperienced writer who didn’t know any better. I don’t write NSFW on this blog, and I don’t/will never write NSFW with minors ever. I didn’t take the post down because I didn’t want it to seem like I was “hiding” anything, so I kept it up (but if I was asked to delete it, I would acknowledge it and then take it down).

I didn’t get any more messages after that, but I was really uncomfortable with writing after that.

Listen- I always write my characters aged up. It’s been in my rules since I started writing that all characters are aged up (unless if it was with characters like Luke who I write strictly platonic for). I didn’t know there was serious discourse behind that until I got those messages (and I didn’t know how HUGE it was either). Then I found myself falling down this rabbit hole of that discourse and just honestly feeling worse about myself, genuinely thinking I’m a horrible person for writing, so that’s why I took a break to self reflect on my choices.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t agree with getting called a p*do and honestly think that it was uncalled for and very disgusting. That word isn’t something to throw around like it’s nothing- real people are victims of that, and being called over fanfics isn’t okay. I’m not attracted to kids- most of my content is just soft/fluff, including what I write with aged-up characters that are imagined/in a AU where they’re older than their canon age. If it’s something different (ie. Yandere content), I give content warnings and tag it correctly, and make sure that it’s never crossing over any lines into DC (dark content)/NSFW territory. I know that minors interact with my works and that’s totally okay! I’ve always let minors interact with my stuff, the only thing I set a boundary on is that they don’t direct message me (since I’m not a minor and want that boundary to be respected). It’s never been an issue with minors reading my stuff, which is why I make sure it’s never crossing into a territory that like the ones previously mentioned.

So after thinking for a while and taking a break, I still want to write and I’ll more than likely still be writing aged-up characters. I’ll just be extra careful and mindful with what I post and probably won’t write for Miles Morales anymore (which might be for the best since the Spiderverse fandom has a lot of discourse going on rn that I was not aware of until this happened 😬).

To this day, I have no hard feelings if you aren’t cool with the concept of aging up characters even if it’s just SFW- it is totally okay, I understand. Everyone should have their online experience be enjoyable, and if not interacting/blocking me will help with that, then go for it! It’s no hard feelings. There’s nothing wrong with blocking people if it helps curate your own online experience. This is Tumblr- it’s not that serious especially when it comes to writing fanfiction. It’s a place where everyone should be able to have fun!

I do want to genuinely apologize again, and I take full accountability and responsibility if I hurt anyone with my actions. I write as a hobby and a way for me to connect with others with the same interest- it’s never anything with ill or shady intentions.

her makeup was very kesha inspired during this era, as well ! lots of glitter and rhinestones on her eyes, as well as sort of “smudged” eyeshadow, huge brightly colored and glittery stars / lightning bolts drawn around her eyes, and dark, smoky, almost messy eyeliner

her nails were so cute, too ! they had rhinestones and animal print and all these metallic elements,, and they were also very sharp swjsiwije

also ! kaori’s style finally got a name ! the media started dubbing it “kao-kei,” and the term eventually made its way to gyaru forums where gals who recreated kaori’s fashion were dubbed “kaogyaru” or “kao-gals !”

and a lot of gyarus LOVED the style bc a. it reminded them of namie, b. it was a lil nostalgic since it resembled ganguro and old school kogyaru, c. it was a combo of a bunch of different styles, and d. it kind of brought back tanning a bit, which was going out of style by the 2010s !

btw, kaori also developed a bit of an obsession with mainframe sunglasses during this era ! like she was wearing them in at least 3 of her mvs MSNKDJ

all in all, the styling for this era was phenomenal and everyone loved it MSNKSJ

like when i tell you kaori was everywhere I MEAN IT !

this album truly made her pop star level like,, her debut showed that she had potential but this really reinforced it !

she was quite literally the most searched singer in japan ALONE, and she placed pretty damn high in the states,, like she was truly a big deal !

the lead single was HUGE ! it sold over 100,000 (!!!) units within its first week and debuted at no. 69 on the billboard hot 100, becoming kaori’s second consecutive entry on the chart ! here’s the thing, though, “black night” actually became her first ever no. 1 hit !

it debuted at no. 1 on the oricon charts, and girl kaori was floored once she found out msnkwkdk

it stayed there for a full month, too !

the promo during this era was crazy !

kaori had TWO full tv specials on both music station and gma, and everyone loved them ! she was greeting fans, and the specials were quite literally a taste of what the tour would be SMKJD like the energy, choreography, and stage presence were off the charts

and you could tell that kaori had been working on her vocals ! like that voice was CLEAR !

she even performed at the warped tour sjsmkejdj and her set was super fun bc there were a lot of her fans there (her aussie fans were so blessed like kaori already went there during her tour smjejdj) ! and the crowd favorite was def “black night” at both her gma special and her warped tour set,, like that song took OVER radio stations

and oh my god kaori finally got a vogue cover ! the concept was SO COOL like it was inspired by female rock icons such as joan jett and debbie harry, as well as by ayumi hamasaki and koda kumi !

she had a bunch of collabs this era, too !

i won’t spoil them here bc they truly deserve their own post, but all of them were so so good, believe me SMKSKDJ

another interesting thing was kaori’s endorsements this era jsiwks she became the face of shiseido due to them sponsoring her tour, but she also became the face of pepsi of all companies ! her campaigns were so britney inspired, and she had a commercial in japan that was quite literally EVERYWHERE

and they put her face on the cans ! (only in japan though </3)

she also became the face of luminous change, and she was all over shibuya billboards, on posters outside of 109, and on the packaging BSNSKM

kaori also had promo for something else, but that will be revealed in due time !

and and and ! she ALSO had a capsule collection with the gyaru brand jsg ! like the pieces were inspired off of kaori’s personal style, and damn did it sell skhdjdjdk like gals were truly all over it

her promos were mainly focused on the states, but she still had time to promote in korea ! like she was actually a guest mc for m countdown this time (for like. 3 days 😭), and she appeared on weekly idol with 15& ! and ofc kaori KILLED it like we all know she’s hilarious

her tour began in august, and my god the amount of celebs that came SKIWSJS

allume came ! like kaori’s bestest industry friends wbk ! minzy and cl came, as well as western celebs such as taylor swift and kesha !

the tour was so fun and so theatrical,, like it was probably kaori’s most acclaimed tour to date (and her longest girl whew MSNSJKD),, there was also added dates in china and some areas in japan bc demand was HIGH !

and oh my god “black night” was used as the first opening for tokyo ghoul ??? and “talkin’ 2 myself” was literally used as one of the endings of death note,, of all animes !

like girl kaori was ECSTATIC ! she was literally that huge !

but y’all know what the coolest thing was ??? when “talkin’ 2 myself” was released as a special single, the music video was animated !

like literally in the style of death note too,, they made kaori into a death note character SMSJS

she had a lil interview in mexico, and she had a set at lollapalooza chile,, she was also on the covers of quite a lot of magazines ! vivi, woofin’ girl, nylon, l’officiel, marie claire,, like you could literally not escape her during this era sjiwjdndn

all in all, very eventful era ! like sweet 18 truly made her a superstar (at only 18, by the way), and she literally became thee teen idol back then ! she was dominating charts, everyone loved her,, it was just great ♡

Like absolutely nothing can fill this void. It’s become my favorite fanfic of all time, and it’s made me feel emotions I’d never thought I’d feel. Your take on certain tropes is just so, so refreshing. The pacing is perfect and satisfying and it’s everything I could ever want from a story. And the way you depict levi and hange is SO FAITHFUL. Their internal monologues, their banter, their personalities, everything is just so perfect and hilarious and I wanna thank you for giving me the best time ever. I have loads more but don't want to make this a whole book rec essay 😅 My life changed dramatically a few months ago because I got a new job and moved away, so I'm exhausted and making a new life for myself, but I'm enjoying every moment even if it means I have tons of overtime work and zero energy for fanfic writing. I already had a shitty day due to yesterday’s results (I was so stressed and disappointed I couldn’t sleep. Ended up sleeping for less than 4 hours before waking up to work). And then I had the shittiest day at work 😭. But then on my way back home I saw that green garbage bag at the bus station and I almost broke down. 

And talking about disappointed and green - 

I realized TOO LATE (because I was at work) that they premiered the ParaLive Live on youtube!! With NO ARCHIVE!! I opened it on the last moment and then it was gone!!! 😭😭😭
