#first things first i think in like 2022 him and spencer def broke up at some point for a multitude of reasons #mainly that mabeline feels she's matured and has taken on a more protective/providing role in spencer's life and yet he hasnt changed 1 bit #if anything he just got worse #the breakup itself isnt over like some huge conflict. jonah just realizes one day this guy is kind of bad for me and she loves him still #but doesnt know if they really should be together so she says something like. i think we should take a break.#and the two of them arent together for most of the story in this au #on spencer's end this leads to a whole bunch of turmoil an identity crisis a situationship with maddiefriend etc #on mabeline's end he's kind of just left with this quiet longing #she's objectively doing quite well for herself but he finds himself missing something. he just wishes spencer were still with her #and hates himself for still being stuck on him but cant stop thinking about what if he gets better #so eventually by the end of the story i think they would get back together #her and spencer reunite and shes hesitant at first to accept him but he proves that he's changed for the better and learned his lesson.#and she admits to herself and to him that he loves him #i'll try to make this more cohesive if i actually write this as a fic or a comic sometime #not that i really have time for that... these days. sigh #anyways besides pining over her ex she gets up to some other stuff like starting testosterone and fursuit commissions like it says up there #as of getting back together with spencer in 2025 (?) she still lives with her parents #but she has accumulated enough mouney to like rent an apartment so afterwards him and spencer end up living together and working towards #getting enough money for a hosue #i think maybe also her and spencer become fully fledged members of P.I.E.? im thinking about the future of P.I.E. as well #toast and ghost are retired probably by this point and i think spooker and chris would become the main guys #i havent put THAT much thought into it but i think woah should be involved as like an apprentice and sue's daughter too who i will draw soo #P.I.E. experts let me know what you think the future holds for them... if you are okay with it i might use your ideas for inspiration #anyways actual tags now #venturiantale #taleblr #mabeline wolf #jonah wolf #venturiantale fanart #VT 2020s au

At least once every 6 months I become convinced I just literally cannot write fiction anymore. Considering that's a thing that actually happened with my poetry writing and my drawing ability it's a somewhat concerning idea. Currently in one of these phases now.

#I've found writing difficult ever since I hit my 20s #not only the never finishing anything and anything I do write taking an incredibly long time to actually produce #but like #just not knowing how to write a scene #I'll have huge blanks in the stream of a series of scenes where I just don't know how to describe people like #turning around #crossing a street #sitting down #and often I'll have thought the words to describe a scene out in my head and it's fine and then I go to write them down #and half of it's gone or somehow the quality has completely degraded and there's nothing worthwhile to put down #it's ridiculous #and like I don't know what to do about it and like actual Writing advice seems to not exist #like there's style advice and how to get yourself writing #and specific stuff like 'show don't tell' don't say 'feel' etc #but like nothing for like how to actually just Write #not that I even have a way to describe my problem in searchable terms anyway #writing exercises never help because they're always little mini scenes-- i.e. exactly what my attempts to write stories #tend to turn into disconnected collections of anyway #(this only applies to fiction because god forbid I be able to write anything for Myself)#(meanwhile 5000 pages of college bullshit come out fine)#(just like what happened with my artistic ability-- draw for the assignment: fine; draw for yourself? complete shit)#there's probably some way to get help somewhere hidden behind 500 paywalls that I'll never be able to access #sometimes I think eventually I'll just be unable to put two words together any longer and then I'll die

As I suspected, drawing Aziraphale for the first time wound up MUCH better than my first drawing of Crowley, and was much easier.

My style naturally flows with roundness and softness, two things that you could not use to describe Crowley, but that are perfectly accurate when giving a description of Aziraphale. Oh, and I thought y'all Tumblr people were being ridiculous with the obsession over the Sheen nose, but after studying it for the drawing, I totally get it. You are correct. I didn't draw it right here, but he has a very nice nose.

#it's sad because i like drawing crowley more simply because he's the more relatable character #but aziraphale is so much easier and flows so much better with my natural style #so i guess i'll just have to work extra hard on the crowley drawings #and then use the aziraphale drawings to relax afterward #and no #i will not be drawing them together in an art piece any time soon #my heart cannot #i will eventually #but eventually is not today #art #digital art #drawing #gomens #aziraphale good omens #gomens aziraphale #aziraphale #aziraphale art

I've mulled it over and I haven't had a Drew appreciation post in a bit...and with the anime now going on without him forever...

Drew and Brassius time! They'll never meet in canon, but I like imagining how they'd interact. :)

Going off the theory that Brassius had some of his works displayed in Hoenn, I think it would be cool if Drew was familiar with him as an artist! A source of inspiration, even.

They have a share similar attitudes, with how they value the beauty in things, and how perfectionism slowly eats away at the joy creation brought them. I think it would be very interesting if Drew was drawn to Brassius' work without knowing he'd face a similar challenge in coordinating about losing sight of his artistic purpose.

Also neat potential commentary on how art lives outside of its artist. Like if a work Drew adored was one that Brassius believes is one of his worst. How does that make an artist feel, that even what they see as 'trash' can still be a masterpiece to someone else? Do they have a right to say that person is wrong? As the audience, how would it feel to know the artist is ashamed of what you love? Does it matter? They both believe an artist should stick to what they believe and not bow to external pressure, but you can never be 100% divorced from that pressure either.

So I think they would have very interesting conversations!! Also Brassius could make Drew a little Roselia mug. :)

2 new Reiya & Compass 2.0 avatar

I wanted to make a player character based on the ones in the Compass 2.0 anime (I loosely based it of my Live Arena avatar) and made 2 Reiya color variants!

The cyber Reiya was the first designed. Originally intended him to be an exorcist but I liked the cyber aesthetic the white&cyan created so went with that instead... haven't figured a name out yet (wip name: Cyber) but his quote is "Never Tell Anything" and his gimmick is refusing to speaking aloud, preferring instead to use text and emoticons to communicate. He CAN talk, he just doesn't like to. His WorldLine is a futuristic world that feels overly automated, creating a feeling of stagnation and fear of what he can't predict. He is a timid shut-in who is afraid of humans despite desperately longing for human connection.

Second design, The Wanderer. Wanderer was supposed to take on the fore mention exorcist trait but this was also scrapped. Wanderer was designed to be more tough and hostile compared to "Cyber", who was more cute and meek looking. His WorldLine is a harsh and almost post-apocalyptic looking wasteland, littered with ruins and beasts. Survival has pushed this Reiya to trust nobody and always be on guard, never feeling a moment of safety living outside the protection of city walls. His quote "Never Stop Moving" a mantra reminding him that staying in one place to long could be his undoing.

"Cyber" and Wanderer, parallels. After meeting one another, both Reiya start to trust in one another giving them both their first sense of connection. Cyber pities Wanderer for his harsh life, desperately wanting him to feel safe to sleep and eat regularly- sharing the simple things he would take for granted. Wanderer pities Cyber for his shut-in nature, wanting to teach him to be stronger and to feel the freedom of the world outside- not wanting him to waste away never understanding what life is. They were designed to be somewhat opposites that could drive each other forward.

#going into this game knowing it's a deep puzzle game where every little detail could matter : i gotta write Everything down #2 hours later : maybe i'm overthinking this maybe not everything is super relevant i'll just see #2 more hours later : i gotta write everything down and make a spreadsheet and draw a map and hire benoit blanc #christ how compelling this fucking thing is. i don't even know what specifically makes it scratch my brain so well but #ourgh #i don't want to say anything that could be a spoiler because it really is a game you must go in with 0 knowledge of it #but god... realizing that One element that's in basically every room had a common pattern #and having to solve a fucking riddle every time to find what the pattern is leading to #AND STILL NOT KNOWING WTF I'M MEANT TO DO WITH THE ANSWERS I GET OUT OF THEM GKFJFJDJD #i'm gonna gnaw my skin off #so anyway. it's a puzzle escape room-ish roguelike #you're in a mansion where YOU get to pick which room is behind every door you open #so it's your job to create the layout of the mansion and make sure you avoid being stuck with dead ends everywhere #you've got a limited amount of energy to explore. the rooms you can pick from when you reach a door are random.#you're gonna need to find keys you're gonna need to find coins you're gonna need to find gems #there's special rooms that have specific roles there's nothingburger hallways there's little minigames #there's items you can find that help you like a shovel or a hammer you can break chests open with #but anyway when you're out of energy or when you've nowhere left to go your run ends and everything in the mansion is reset #(except for very specific things you unlock which i won't detail)#so you basically start over Except with all the knowledge that you've gathered on your previous attempts #so maybe you found a password for something and then in the new run you find the thing the password unlocks #your main goal is to reach a very specific room at the other end of the mansion AND EVEN THEN #i haven't reached it myself but i imagine even if you manage to get there there's probably Something you need to do/have done #to really succeed like there is A LOT GOING ON #you're dropped in there no tutorial except little notes you find around the mansion no NPCs just you and your map #it's fucking brilliant if you're into puzzle games and mysteries and don't mind “slow” gameplay try it ouuuuut #it's still a bit RNG based what with being a roguelike but that's the thing innit #you keep going because you hope you'll eventually find all the right things in the right place for you to put together
