I am not really a writer, so I haven’t considered it. I love coming up with headcanons and I think I am pretty good with dialogues for our comics, but writing a proper story (even a very short one) is just way too difficult for me. I can’t even write these replies fast enough… so I’ll stick to what I do best and keep drawing <3 Out of the two of us, Katsu is the writer, but Katsu’s main focus right now is Nebula. To be completely honest, fanfics in general aren’t our cup of tea… (That being said, Katsu did write a couple of fanfics before, albeit not twst-related)

just a heads-up, i'm still unsure if I really want to be that active on social media, at all. I don't think i'll be reblogging or liking others' posts all that much, sorry. I'm always anxious about being perceived by people I don't know and maybe a bit paranoid about online safety after being drilled with it during elementary school.

Hi! As someone who played your quotev match-up quiz (and had a lot of fun with it), I’m kind of curious if your opinion on it has changed any now. I could tell from your posts that you value accuracy to canon when dealing with fan content about characters, so I was curious to see if the new character information released since 2022 has affected how you view it.

Dw it's not rude at all! I love to ramble on and on about my projects and characterization anyway, and I'll really glad you enjoyed it! It also fuels my ego a little to hear that you can tell lol.

I'm curious to know who was your top 3 and how accurate you thought it was, was it surprising in any way? If you don't mind ofc, I just love being nosy about what people think of my stuff lol.

To be honest, that quiz was always meant to be more on the wish fulfillment side for the readers, because that kind of quiz is usually taken by younger, more sensitive people as a whole and it's hard to do more nuanced takes in that format.

I also can't really have my usual interests be more obvious like I can on tumblr and AO3.

It was kind of my way of trying to do what older fans had done for me back in the Quizilla days. (RIP Quizilla, gone but never forgotten.) I actually preferred the edgy, in-character variants even back then, but the TWST fandom on tumblr is very...

Let's just say I'm very hesitant to interact with most TWST fans first, unless they post similar things, and that I've gotten anon hate just for posting that quiz while being a yandere/OBM!/adult (as in age) writer.

That being said, the point allocation was intended to be fairly accurate without any cheat answers, and I didn't wanna sugar coat the results too much.

Some characters are easier to "game" than others, and some have broader or more niche tastes, but if you're not careful you could get Sebek or Vil instead of Riddle for example.

Also, Idia and Jade are pickier than Rook and Floyd and the points try to take into account what the player would want as well.

I've adjusted the point spread a lot since then at different times.

A tiny bit due to new characterizations, but mostly because the point spread system is annoying to work with and because I realized not everyone will read the questions and answers the same way.

You also can't do negatives, which would've helped the quiz be a lot more accurate, but what can you do?

I actually really regret accidentally contributing to the whole "crybaby" Azul and thought about it re-doing his result soon after posting.

I've actually been thinking about it again recently, but I kinda don't want to take away what people are used to either.

I had initially thought that was a joke/affectionate bullying, but I found out not too long after that a lot of people seem to genuinely think that Azul cries over everything, despite canon saying that he's changed.

It seems like poor Azul has been hit with a double dose of woobification and ukeification by the fandom, and I'm not a fan. He's a pos (affectionate) like the rest of them, and I'd like him less if he wasn't.

Tbh, I actually think he's one of the most morally bankrupt in the entire cast, along with the Tweels and Leona. Like, he's dealing in literal, violence enforced slavery whereas Jamil is trying to escape it for example.

(I also hate what the Eng localization has done to poor Jamil, but that's another rant.)

Also, Rook has said a lot of questionable things to Vil and I'm unsure as to what the intentions were. Like, is Rook negging Vil when he points out millimeters of weight gain? Is it supposed to be a normal, "positive" thing because Japan loves to glorify EDs?

It makes the VDC thing look really bad too, not the actual vote itself, but all of his other actions imo.

I'm leaning towards Rook being manipulative tbh, because he has a pattern of it, already really disrespects non-humans, and is very socially savvy and close to Vil. (This isn't bashing btw, I still love Rook as a character.)

Otherwise, not much has changed other than me getting more comfortable with the characters and fandom I suppose?

I'm guessing you're caught up as an Idia fan? Good choice btw, and if you are the one that sent the Idia ask dw, I'll try my best to fulfil it too.

Tbh, I'm actually really disappointed that his parents are actually really cutesy. And, speaking as vaguely as possible, I honestly don't like the new fae lore in Ch 7 either.

I feel like Yana has suddenly decided to start downplaying the more serious, heavy tones and I'm not quite sure why? Maybe to ease players into a slightly more romantic slice of life continuation after the main story ends?

Idk maybe it was always planned, but I feel like it makes Idia seem a bit more like a generic whiny teenager. I still love him, but I choose to ignore that part of canon and give him more distant parents who are still struggling with grief and their work.

But feel free to disagree, I don't mind at all. It's just nice to have someone to talk about TWST with too!

"Dude..." Ace whispered to Deuce. "Everyone's looking at us really weirdly."

"Watcha lookin' at, huh?!" Epel sneered, sizing up a Octavinelle student.

"U-uh, nothing! Not you, of course!" They said in a rush. "Not that you're not worth looking at just uh-"

"Really now?" Epel seethed.

"Epel, let it go," Jack said, sighing. "C'mon."

"It is highly unprofessional of you to start a fight with another student!" Sebek yelled over at Epel.

"I'll show you professional when I shove my foot up your as-"

"Epel!" Jack pulled back the boy by his collar. "Sebek, disregard him."

The Diasomnia student scoffed. "Such a small threat wouldn't phase me. I am Waka-sama's personal guard, after all."

"I don't think they're looking at us..." Deuce whispered back, looking at the students staring.

In the middle of the group was Yuu, with Grim perched on their shoulder. The prefect was chewing on some jerky that they had on them, occasionally giving a piece to Grim.

"...I think they're looking at Yuu." Deuce completed his sentence.

"Woah, you're actually being smart for once?!" Ace exclaimed on an intentionally loud volume.

"It's not like you're much better, Ace." Yuu smirked, handing Grim a piece of jerky. "You're an idiot. But you're one of my idiots, so don't worry, heh."

Ace blushed a little before turning around and huffing. "Where are we going anyway?"

"I would like to know that as well! I can not slack off on my duty to protect Waka-sama! I should be back soon!" Sebek agreed.

"Oh just down to Sam's! I need some stuff and I've been saving tokens for weeks." Yuu replied. "And why do I feel so many eyes on me? Like this is creepy."

Grim looked up from his piece of jerky around at the people Yuu seemed to be talking about. "I dunno... Hey! Why are you starin' at us?!"

"U-uh... Nothing, nevermind." The called-out student stammered.

"It's alright, don't mind Grim." Yuu motioned for the student to come over with their hands. "C'mon."

Nervously, the student shuffled their way over to Yuu and the other first-years.

"Well?"

"Uhm... see... you're ...aquaintances? I don't know if that's the right word... but you seem to be familiar with the dorm head of both Savanahclaw and Diasomnia," They said, staring at the floor. "And no one's really ever talked with either so much as once, so you're kind of a... celebrity, I suppose."

"Me, a celebrity? Hah!" Yuu laughed. "I mean it is true that I'm friends with Leona and Tsunotarou, but surely more than I have talked to them."

"I wouldn't be too sure, Yuu." Jack nudged them.

"Yeah... the Diasomnia dormleader is kind of... scary."

"How dare you call Waka-sama scary!" Sebek yelled.

"Sebek, calm down. I don't think Tsunotarou minds." Yuu sighs. "You can go now."

I don't think I ever posted like info on my twst OC, Noir, besides like lil bits and pieces on twt but uhhh here hehe ^w^

Name: Noir Tiburón Pronouns: She/They Age: 18 Dorm: Octavinelle Height: 149.86 cm (4'11 ft) Grade: 2nd Year Class: Class 2A Club: Pop Music Club Unique Magic/Signature Spell: Poor, Unfortunate Souls - Noir can take away a person's magic and use it simply with their pen. They can give their magic back, the same way with their pen.

Random Trivia (Slight angst warning):

Noir was twisted off of Glut the shark from The little Mermaid.

Rather than be aggressive, they (like some actual sharks) are very shy and rather reserved. They do have a chaotic side, once thinking of burning down the Octavinelle dorm because of how much Azul was having them work overtime.

She was born in the Coral Sea to two shark merfolk who loved her dearly. However, some humans in diving gear found their home and ransacked the place, killing both her parents which led her to live with her abusive grandparents. After a few years, when her grandparents both passed on, she had to bury both of them before swimming away. With time, she found a port and saw humans for the first time. She then transformed into her human form before passing out and a loving couple took her in and took care of her, feeding her and loving her the same way her parents did. They also taught her how to cook and even make drinks (non-alcoholic, of course) in their restaurant.

The choker on her neck is a gift from her biological mother while her glasses are a gift from her adoptive parents.

They love to collect stuff. When they were a young shark pup, they would collect random human stuff, little mermaid style. When they started living on land, they mostly collect stuffed toys and books.

Started attending NRC a little later than the others. They would've started school a year earlier than Jade, Floyd, and Azul and would be in the same year as Trey, Cater, and Lilia.

In her mermaid form, she can swim perfectly fine, better than Floyd and Jade sometimes. But with legs, she can swim, but not as fast.

Much like the tweels, they have pointed teeth but they aren't at all sharp.

Unlike Jade and Floyd who need a potion to change forms, Noir can do this with their magic. But it does take up a lot of energy and she tends to pass out when changing from mermaid to human.

Their closest friends are Cater, Kalim, Lilia, Floyd, Jade, and Azul (but Azul is up for debate, the two have a rivals thing going on)

She is dating Trey Clover, but before that, they were study buddies with Trey tutoring them in subjects like Alchemy and History.

Noir is part of the Light Music Club as a vocalist and was just taken in by Cater, Lilia, and Kalim after they heard her singing in the garden. Their taste in music ranges from Metal to Pop to Ballads, if they like a song, they like it.

They are the bartender of the Mostro Lounge, learning how to make drinks from her adoptive parents' restaurant.

Trey maybe her boyfriend, but he isn't the first. In Noir's first year, the first person who claimed they "loved" her ditched her on birthday, and the second one just flat-out cheated on them. Took Noir forever to trust guys and took her forever to fully trust Trey.

They have a huge sweet tooth and their favorite drink is iced coffee.

I'll probably drop more on noir's lore soon!! Anyway hope u guys like my OC >////< I'll probably post a lot abt them here hehe

Would you be a mer, a beastman, a fae, or a human? (or other!)

Mmm… maybe a lioness beastwoman?? If we're being actually realistic it would be a simple human but we're having fun here hahah

Would you be at rsa or nrc?

I don't really fit completely in either, but since RSA would be to stuck up, probably NRC.

What dorm would you belong to?

Ignihyde, but I refuse. I wish it were Savanaclaw, but I won't be xD

What character(s) would you be best friends with?

I would probably get along best with Rook? And Epel too. I'd probably get along with Cater and Kalim too, even if they'd be too extroverted for my poor introverted soul hahaha Also… Trey too. He seems nice to hang out with.

Well, I already can barely stand Idia and Azul without knowing them in person… so probably them lol

What character(s) would you date?

Well, the dream would be Vil, but he wouldn't like me back xDDD So maybe Leona or Ruggie?? None of them would like me back tho hahaha

I am so bad at thinking this stuff, but my friend Sha always associates me with sharks, so we'll go with that one even if Floyd would not give me that one in a million years XDD

I'd just have a normal quiet life. Just minding my own business at school, not really trying too hard not lazying too much (let's go with that xD). Just a normal person from a normal background hahaha
