I’ve not been knitting for the past month due to a mixture of factors. But I have had some off and on work on several projects.
Featured here are a kite shawl, an unblocked lace doily knit in worsted weight cotton, the most evil baby blanket i’ve ever had the displeasure of creating with my own hands, and yarn for a future sweater.
#knitting#knitblr#lace rot#lace knitting#wip#i'm dying squirtle.#i cannot find my liquid starch for doilies and it's driving me insane.#i'm currently living at two different houses rn and the house i'm not at has all my yarn/knitting bits#this house has moths so i Don't Trust but i have a knit blanket over here that they haven't touched so far so i'm keeping an eye out#hopefully i can move the rest of my stuff over soon. the next time i go back i'm going to at least grab my cotton thread for more dolies.#i am in lace withdrawl. even tho i have a ball of yarn for a lace shawl here that i just haven't started.#doilies just hit different than a huge lace shawl. i want to knit with tinney tiny needles and even tinneir tinier yarn.#oh i almost forgot the thing on the doily is 6 inches long for scale.#the black mark on the lace shawl is where my toes were and i do not post those without being payed for it.#and i bought way more of the scarfie lite than i need because i want to make an oversized sweater AND i just adore the yarn that much#if my math is correct which it so rarely is#i'll have enough of that yarn for a sweater#a full sized scarf AND a hat or two

Heyyyy since there's talk of the Breezepelt Attacking Poppyfrost scene going around, I just wanna remind people that he explicitly does that because he was groomed by the Dark Forest. Jayfeather points it out on the page that Breezepelt's stated motivation doesn't make sense, because it's not actually a rational idea Breezy-P came up with. It's then shown that actual factual evil demons are exploiting the anger he has from being a victim of child abuse, to indoctrinate and manipulate him into radical violence
I wrote a little essay about this with citations and stuff. It wasn't "for no reason," and anyone who tries to use the scene as "evidence" of Breezepelt being Secretly Evil to justify the abuse he underwent as a kid either didn't read it, has bad reading comprehension skills, or is cherrypicking on purpose.
Crowfeather emotionally and physically abused his child, Breezepelt was socially alienated by WindClan as a result, which leads to this moment. That is what is on the page.
