Guys do you think Dexter's significant to the plot of Spooky Month? And I'm not taking about the stuff we've seen, not the episodes dedicated to him. I'm saying a possible role he plays with the cult (or possibly lack of role with the cult.) Do you think in a future episode he'll be faced with a decision where he'll have to keep the kids safe from the cult? Because I do. I see it vividly. The little ones are captured, he manages to save and defend them. Otherwise why the hell does he keep showing up in the episodes.

I don't know it just bothers me that he's been so apparent in the show yet there's no connection to him and the show's underlying plot. Like, I know we've seen those QR code diary entries he's made where he's trying to keep himself from killing Skid and Pump, which is unique to the villains of the show and might offer a hint towards the future. He's the only one who hasn't tried anything against the children, because he does not target children. He had bloodlust, but not outwardly stated nor hinted that it primarily is targeted at children. Why is he special in this show? Maybe Pelo didn't have to much of a plan for Dexter when Unwanted Guest rolled around, but realized that he needed the character for a future subplot or necessary leverage for something and decided to use him. Maybe Dexter's just a plothole. But then he shouldn't keep showing up. Not have two episodes dedicated to him. Not an appearance in the two newest episodes.

And just to contribute to my griping, I want to mention Bob Velseb (I also have a bone to pick with him.) Look, he was around for Tender Treats, lightly mentioned in the previous episode, and never talked about again in the newest. Hell, Dexter was given a small cameo appearance in Tender Treats while they were showing the news. Bob was barely around in the show, and yet we've seen he has to do with the cult. He had the necklace. I was wholeheartedly expecting any mention of him in Hollow Sorrows. Nothing. I do want to point out, Moloch also has made multiple appearances. But you know what all of these have to do with each other? IT'S ALL A PART OF THE CULT.

Buddy. We've seen it time and time again, there are certain things you can expect in each episode, you have an idea as to what some characters will do, what will happen, what it will all connect to. In this show, bad things happen to children. But Dexter is an outlier. He was going to slaughter the boys because he was at his limit and they were the closest, but not because he had a perverse desire or allegiance towards the harm of kids. And it genuinely makes me wonder what the endgame will be with this guy. I refuse to believe we had all of this information and time about the guy for him to just end up remaining a sentient blob of melted plastic. Whether it was the original intent of Sr. Pelo to make him potential good guy when the show draws to an end, I honestly believe that will be the case.

And before I leave, I do actually love this character. He's great, in not complaining about seeing him too often, I'm GLAD, believe me, but from an analytical standpoint, it drives me insane.

there's always jokes about spiderbit third wheeling and spiderbit outsider pov moments but it's so true anyone that isn't them is ALWAYS going to be on the outside of their relationship literally no one will ever be able to fully understand what they both mean for each other. WE do, but that's only because we have the benefit of being able to see the other through their eyes and themselves through their own. no one on the island has that benefit though no one is capable of truly understanding, and then you start mixing in their own individual views of morality and what lines can't be crossed and the fact that they both think of themselves as soul mates and, no wonder people think that they've mutually lost it. if someone doesn't understand even a bit of one half of them they have no hope of understanding the full of them

Alright, I promised an update in the tags of the queued post a few days ago, so now that my internet is finally strong enough to let me create a new post from scratch, I'll actually do that.

Ultimately things ended up taking a really fucking weird turn again, and after speaking to the service company directly, we found out that the "service personnel" that had been here, weren't actually from their company despite toting their uniforms.

Unfortunately this isn't even the first time something like this has happened, so this information wasn't as hard to believe as you'd think. One of the nosy elderly men from down the street was even able to provide some photos he took of the "workers" and their van, which he had taken "just in case", which is a hell of a lot more than we could do last time.

On the positive end of things, the real service personnel showed up yesterday with just as foul an attitude as the fake ones had, and have apparently set to work undoing whatever was done to fuck up our internet access so badly. Though they have been significantly slowed by the presence of the police, who are treating the situation with about as much urgency as you would expect from someone being chased by a half blind snail, and really just seem to be enjoying getting in everyone's way.

All in all, shit's weird as per usual, but thankfully on the way to being fixed if my current internet status is anything to go by. (The real workers took one look at what had been done and just said "What the fuck!" which... isn't encouraging)

Either way, I wanted to thank you all so much for being so patient again Darling ones, I hope you can continue to bear with me for just a little bit longer 🖤

So I am learning a lot from the responses to @soloorganaas ‘s Wolfstar poll, and I’m sure they will make a post when it’s over that is more articulate and comprehensive than mine, but the one thing I am seeing over and over that makes me want to scream and that I need to address:

“there’s no point in reading the source material because MWPP are barely there anyway”

BABES I AM BEGGING YOU, IF YOU’RE WRITING SOMETHING WITH THE MWPP CREW IN IT, READ. THE. BOOKS. I’m not saying give the author your money, pirate that shit. But oh my god, the prevalence of the lie that MWPP are basically blank slates for you to write about because they’re barely in canon....NO. This is wrong. Book 3 is literally named after one of them. We get so much backstory and so much characterization for Sirius and Remus, and we see a good deal of them and James in flashbacks. From POA to DH, we learn so much about them in every book. 

Kill the idea that MWPP are blank slates you can do whatever you want with. Kill it with fire.

When I look at the concept art for Tadashi Hamada, all of those fashion options had glasses and it makes me sad that it didn't end up in the final cut. I understand that they were trying to get his vibe right, they probably had a particular idea in mind and the glasses just didn't fit, but good lord I think we were robbed.

I mean...

He's beautiful no matter what, but this also leaves me to wonder just how different they would have interpreted his character had they kept the glasses.

I see how different he looks in the other concept art (the clothing choices are diverse and for the most part unalike) and I feel like each one would have been an entirely different character altogether.

All my life I've been told by all kinds of people that they can never really tell what I'm feeling or what's going through my mind because apparently I'm always just hiding everything behind a smile so that I've become rather unreadable. apologies if this is out of left field at all but do you have any thoughts or headcanons about lucy and schroeder? 😭 they’ve been on my mind sm lately

Charlie Brown listens to Schroeder’s complaints about Lucy barging in, and asks why he doesn’t lock the front door. It’s the surest way to keep her out. Schroder half-heartedly shrugs, admitting it’s crossed his mind before, and says nothing else. That’s all the answer Charlie Brown needs, really.

Lucy doesn’t always lean against the piano– whenever Schroeder’s practicing instead of performing, (never. NEVER. interrupt a musician while they’re practicing) Lucy takes the opportunity to practice playing house, and she’s damn good at it. She can never seem to make a good cup of coffee though…

Schroeder never shuts down Lucy’s nuptial hypotheticals. Lucy’s got an active imagination, and. well, they're kids, so she comes up with funny problems. and Schroeder likes a good brain puzzle, so he’ll slow down on his playing to really think on a good solution.

Lucy’s not a big fan of Beethoven, or any classical music really, but she’s very fond of Sonata no. 8 in C minor, Op. 13 “Pathetique”: II. She walks in some days asking for Schroeoder to “play that lovely Pathetic song”

Lucy finds out that Beethoven was hopelessly in love, and rubs it in Schorder’s face that if he truly wants to follow in the footsteps of his idol, he needs to find a gal to pine after.

Schroeder’s the Piano Guy at gatherings and parties, unfortunately. He likes sneaking in sonatas every other pop song or so, and everyone around him groans. Then, quickly shut up. Because Lucy is death glaring every person in the room. No one dares telling Schroeder to skip his song. If Schroeder wants to play his boring ass sonatas he will play them, thus sayeth the fussbudget.

Schroeder will never. ever. EVER. admit it but… he secretly likes being doted on. Lucy gives him undivided attention and listens to his lengthy talks about music (though she’s always making faces at whatever he’s saying) and Schroeder’s never had a captive audience quite like her before. She’s an audience that responds (see: nags), and the reciprocity inspires his playing.

Lucy believes in Schroeder more than anything. She assuages Schroeder’s anxiety when he has to face a new piece, or worse, when he’s been stuck on a section of a piece for a longer period than he’d like. All she has to do is smile as he plays. He knows that face is genuine, and suddenly he finds he’s unclenched his jaw long ago. Hey, that section suddenly isn’t so hard….

Because of Schroder’s position in the sidelines, he’s able to see when Lucy’s at the cusp of spiraling, doing that Thing where she spreads herself thin for everyone and gets angry, insisting things be done her way. He knows when to step in and remind her that in order to take care of others, she has to take care of herself.

umm as for my thoughts, the only cohesive one I have rn is that I think they were absolutely adorable in "It's the Small Things, Charlie Brown"!! All Lucy has to do is call for Schroeder and he comes a-runnin, ready to play. I have no idea I needed that for their dynamic. Oh! and Schroeder being the one to point out what Lucy's afraid of in "Lucy's School"? His straight to the point delivery, acting as the final nail in the coffin? It's rly important that it was HIM who delivered that line to me for obvi reasons. Just. Yes. yesssss I'm so happy how Wildbrain is handling these two, so delicious.
