I am a queer woman and I want to fix something with my hands!!! Take me to Home Depot and set me free!
#i've worked at three home hardwares and one home depot#i helped my dad redo the garage roof when i was thirteen#learned how to install a toilet the same year#built a bench when i was seven#i miss living in a space i could do stuff with#i miss having the money and the truck#why must i live in an expensive city?#i want my own house or condo#i already know anything i buy i'll have to do work on#i'm ready!#i want to paint my apartment walls and my landlord won't get back to me#i've been sick all day and lying in bed staring at the scuffed walls of my room#because the landlord knew he could rent the place regardless of how well kept it was#the kitchen is from the seveties#oh the renos i would do if i owned this apartment#let me at least paint the walls!#i said i would do#you said you would buy the paint#buy the paint Robert!#let me feel in control of some aspect of my existence!#ahhhhh!!!!!#on a side note i forgot how grumpy i get when sick#and it's been so long since i got a cold#at least when i had covid my brain was too foggy to really think about how gross i felt#i've been wanting to fix things for a while but getting stuck in bed all i can look at is the scuffs and chips in my bedroom wall paint#blegh#renos#renovation#queer#lgbt

eyyyY so my sports girl crush and i was talkin abt sports stuff 2day and she mentioned abt how she could do 11 chinups and 70 pushups back in the day. really makes ya think..
#misha speaks#sometimes i'm bowled over with what good taste i have but more importantly today was another good day#ADN there was no weirdo customers!#there was one customer that was really... aggressive with me and my coworker through out her entire time in the store#to the extent where I'm pretty sure her husband was smiling because he knew how ridiculous she was behaving#she wanted some lamps from the display we couldnt find the lamps so she had my coworker D (a wonderful lady who's always smiling and whom#everyone (customer and coworker alike) loves) runnin around the store trying to find them#and the lady was like 'lets just get the display' so we sold her the display and then as i was getting the other stuff she mentioned now and#again abt how she wanted it gift wrapped (????? i work at a hardware store. picture a home depot that isn't home depot. we don't??)#so than finally at the end of the transaction i was just as aggressive back (tho slightly more aggressive) and i was like 'Oh I Guess I'll#Just Get A Bag For This One. And For THis One. And For This One.' and then she was gone :))#and i talked to my dear coworker D and asked her if she was rude to her (she was.) and D just said that sometimes customers like this come#in expecting a No and then have a guard up so D was just like abt how she smiles and is extra helpful and sometimes that helps them relax#but this lady was getting nothing but Yeses and still was waiting for a No and I mentioned this to my sports girl crush and told her i was#more passive aggressive usually and she agreed with that method. it was a sunny day.#buTT. no man called me dear sweetheart or worst yet - wORST FUCKING YET 'good girl'.#i've gotten called 'good girl' twice within the last three days its..... unfortunate...
