why you should love nikaidou yamato

i love the drunk onii-san of i7, he’s literally hilarious,,, ANYWAYS, why should you love nikaidou yamato?? well if you don’t already, i’m about to tell you now!

one, yamato is the leader of i7!! he literally takes care of everyone, especially the underage group,,, he prepares lunches for them!! he even sticks cute flags into tamaki and iori’s lunchboxes, like that’s literally the sweetest imo,,, he acts like some old geezer that’s not interested in putting in effort and wants to take it easy, but he does all this,,, -cue tamaki voice- ty yama-san.

ALSO,,, please don’t forget the time i7 danced outside trigger’s live tour (after the ban was lifted)! they ended up getting in trouble so tsumugi decided she was going to go off to apologise, and smack bang! yamato is outside!! he knew tsumugi was going to get her head blown off, and decides to come with her, saying he’s the leader of i7 and he should also take some of the responsibility of i7 deciding to dance outside!! he’s literally such a big supporter of i7

and that leads straight onto my second point!! two! yamato is so supportive of i7 in general,,, like first and foremost, remember at the audition? he was going to drop out because he was going to let the people that actually had dreams go and try to achieve them! like it went straight to everyone else, then himself in that moment,,, what a good boy

also please don’t forget that he is so weak-willed to honest and hardworking kids like riku and mitsuki! and ok ok, he is honestly super weak to mitsuki,,, like it’s occasionally mentioned in the story that when yamato sees mitsuki working super hard, he actually wears this super upsetting expression because he’s in this for revenge, whereas mitsuki’s dream was to be an idol since he was a kid. he has a big heart.

and remember the king’s game?? he just wanted tsumugi’s lap pillow and then,,, he just gets riku. and he’s like “ahhh i want out“ but riku’s just so happy about getting chosen that he relents and decides to use riku as a lap pillow despite how much he doesn’t want to (i mean cmon look at his face, does that look like a face of willingness? yes but look at how happy he’s making riku) he’s so important in making i7 happy

three, despite how much he cares, he’s so lazy,,, i mean, isn’t that the biggest mood?? if you can’t relate to liking to take it easy,,, i beg you to take a break and just,,, rest,,, like please.,.,.,,., have you just seen him become the laziest human, holding a can of beer in one hand and is just like “you should do what you like on days off” yamato i approve

and yamato doesn’t even want to clean his room, have you seen his pet robot cleaner (roomba) musashi? he treats it like his actual pet though! he even wipes it clean and takes care of it,,, like yamato is so wholesome in everything he does?? and plus, don’t forget that his ideal date is a ‘stay-at-home date’ because he’d prefer being with them in general, rather than going out to places

four, he is incredibly skilled! he learns choreography faster than everyone else and his expressiveness is better than anyone else and he’s extremely observant as well! remember when mitsuki was just like “well crap, idk why i can’t dance as well as the others?? i’m doing everything that the others are doing but i can’t???” and then yamato jumps in. he’s just like “you’re shorter than everyone else (savage yamato strikes again) so your strides will be smaller, that’s why you’ve got to make longer strides to compensate (for your short height mitsu)” and then mitsuki’s just so happy that yamato was able to pinpoint the problem!!

also let’s not forget the music fest incident! when everyone else was lagging behind, super confused and everything, yamato (and nagi) was still smiling and able to dance properly!

plus, his expressiveness! that is one of his best qualities as an actor and an idol! he can actually act really well, even emitting certain auras like bloodlust. like he’s nailed everything about acting, he is practically a god at it! (idk what else to say here so i’m moving onto the next point,,, best face ever though)

five! let’s not forget how much of a secret worrywart yamato is!! during a rabbit chat (i believe it was the goodnight awesome ones but please don’t trust my memory) he emitted a bloodlust aura to mitsuki when they had to act, and then mitsuki started avoiding him (because he lowkey got scared of yamato). because of that, yamato started getting upset and just says to tsumugi “mitsu’s avoiding me and idk why, this is making onii-san sad”! and then he just gets so happy and relieved when mitsuki starts talking to him again!

let’s not forget when tamaki got into a fight with gaku? yamato just started seeing red, and grabbed gaku and is just “what’re you doing to our tama?!” he’s the true overprotective dad

he’s literally takapapa #2 when it comes to yaotome gaku. he makes sure gaku can’t hit on tsumugi, he’s like “stay away from our manager”, he is so overprotective of everyone!! (omg please look at the rabbit and ribbon yamato has on him)

but he’s also like this,,, please make up your mind nikaidou yamato (although he knows his boundaries too because like, on his bday, he’s just like [to the manager] “want to go out in secret? jkjk tonight, onii-san’s lovers are the fans”)

six, anyone that wears glasses should be able to relate to this! yamato cannot see anything without his glasses which is why he noped outta there when nagi tried taking his glasses (”nagi, onii-san needs this to survive in life”). and yamato has canonically confirmed that glasses are,,, his identity lmao!! when someone told him to take off his glasses during sougo’s rabbit parka chat i think, he was literally “are you trying to negate my identity?” it’s hilarious

i found that so funny omg can we not forget the fact that his king pudding chibi literally has glasses like him.,.,.,.,.,.,.,

seven, speaking of yamato’s identity/ image, it’s so important for him to remain inconspicuous (which i guess is also one of the reasons why he doesn’t want to do acting [the main reason is very spoilery so i’m keeping that out of here for now])!! like mitsuki asked yamato to see his family and yamato just instantly went sour and made a bitter laugh THEN there was also the one time he yelled at nagi for asking him about who this acquaintance he met up with was (and then he felt bad right after)

truly yamato, you are more than just a ‘little mysterious’, you are hella shady

eight, he is part of the wholesome pythagoras trio. let me, once again, elaborate to you how much yamato cares that he’ll go to hell and back for everyone in i7! if you’ve seen yamato’s unit rabbit chats, you’ll know what i mean,,, he was literally like “uwaaaa here they come, here they come” each time nagi or mitsuki was coming at him, because they basically,,, destroyed him! nagi was hugging him so much he thought he couldn’t breathe while mitsuki is destroying each and every one of his bones #ripyamato

nine! i don’t really ship anyone together in i7, but apparently, he’s shipped with almost everyone so +1 for nikaidou yamato for compatibility!!

he ends up getting these nightmares about basically everyone looking at him, and they’re just like “are you satisfied now yamato?? you screwed us over for your revenge, i hope you’re happy”

not exactly a good thing, but yamato is NOT afraid to screw things up,,, he literally strangled yuki at one point when he (yuki) was pushing on all of yamato’s buttons #ripyuki

Doppo calls Kazuha by his first name…That upgrade means their relationship escalated quickly (or this is a quirk of HypMic in general, since I noticed most characters are on first name basis with each other). Also, it’s cute Doppo finally has someone in his corner. No other part of the franchise has one, to my memory. Update: It might actually be “Kazuha-kun”…but I’m still surprised though. Update 2: It’s both, actually.

I’ve listened to the phrase “some random guy” several times from Hifumi’s mouth and all I can figure out is the “yatsu” at the end. (Doesn’t help my ears blocked themselves up again, although it’s less than it used to be.)

I realised they skimped on the budget…this “hot off the car chase” line seems more like an MTC line, doesn’t it…?...Yeah, it’s almost word for word for MTC in DRB+. Maybe the subbers rushed and used this translation (this link I put here) rather than their actual lyrics…? I will have to get to the bottom of this. Update: Turns out the translation is slightly different, but…yes, there is reference to a car chase in the start of Shinjuku Style. (Sorry, I don’t know every lyrics of every song off the top of my head.)

…wow, this got really Doppo-centric. I’ve never seen the leader relinquish their position when it comes to “leading into battle” before. It just goes to show the staff really do pay attention to how popular Doppo is.

Apparently FP’s sign is a peace sign sideways to represent an F, but…it’s just a sideways peace sign to me…

…how is Dice’s bead ornament attached to him? Is it on his hair, on his ear, on the skin behind his ear…? I was trying to replicate his outfit and got stuck on how to represent it, so I ended up opting for trying (and failing) to do a small braid on the right side.

IWGP shows up this season…it’s the song with the “hoo!” noise BB perform in this episode.

LOL, “Dead men tell no tales” is a perfect saying for MTC.

Ra (ら) and ro (ろ) look kinda similar in hiragana.

Even without the audio, I can guess the words were “yarubeki koto” (things you should do) -> shachihoko.

The texts are written in gyaru-moji. Gyaru-moji is basically indecipherable to anyone who doesn’t know how it works – kind of like the common teen vernacular, to be honest (LOL…?) – and so the subs actually kind of ruin the confusingness of it all, but they did slightly better when they went “UR”.

Movie shiritori! But…has it really been half a year since Leo started? I feel slightly robbed about that plotline with the Men in Black right now…(then again, HypMic is just as bad about important plotlines, if not worse, so…I’m going to be patient and not complain.)

Moon Land finished recently, so I wonder if I’ll lose interest in this anime from here on out…? There was a Pommel Horse Prince in that.

Moon Land taught me that gymnastics has a lot of skills named after their creators, much like the Aragaki previously. The score is out of 10 for both D (difficulty) and E (execution), meaning a 20 is the best you can do, but the judges can get really picky...

The word for “vault” literally means “leaping/jumping horse”…makes sense.

Some of these names are names I’m familiar with from Moon Land already…but I never remember what the skills look like.

You can hear a thumping beat in the background when Samatoki prepares himself. That seems to be a similar way to how ARB treats this stuff.

Do you have any favorite moments with Yamato and Nagi?

OFC I HAVE!!!!! their relationship is my favorite next to mezzo hahaha

First of all, both Yamato and Nagi has/had secrets that can danger idolish7’s popularity. Their backgrounds are not only opposite but also similar. Yamato is an illegitimate child of a big star, he felt he wasn’t loved and spent his youth seeking revenge on his father. While Nagi had everything and can do anything. He is a prince and loved by women, but almost all the men he met in Northmare, including his brother, didn’t like him because they envy him. 

The two of them found out about each other’s secrets earlier than anyone in i7, they understand each other’s pasts, feelings, and reasons. Because they’re similar, both of them are stubborn and refuse/d to reveal their pasts. But since Nagi understood Yamato’s feelings, Nagi could encourage Yamato to have a serious talk with everyone (in part 3). So I hope Yamato and Mitsuki can do the same to Nagi in part 4 :’))

I’m getting OOT so these are my fave Nagi & Yamato moments!!

First, in 2.4.2 where Yamato refused to accept a drama offer starring Yuki and him. Nagi noticed that Yamato didn’t want to accept the offer because he didn’t want to work with Yuki (who knew Yamato’s father very well). Nagi asked Yamato to take off his glasses to see Yamato’s face which is similar to his father.

Nikaidou Yamato: I’m not doing it.Takanashi Tsumugi: Huh?Nikaidou Yamato: Can you turn them down? I don’t have any intentions on appearing on the silver screen.Takanashi Tsumugi: But…. i ship Trigger hard in basically every way, so i love both combinations. Trigger’s just such a good trio? i know everyone’s basically super supportive of each other in all of i7′s groups, but there’s something really special about Trigger’s group dynamic and the absolute, unwavering faith they all have in each other. there’s also something super charming about each of them individually, since there’s this huge gap between their professional image vs their actual selves, and i found their part in Tenn’s recent birthday RabiChat to be so adorable…when asked what kind of activity they’d like to do with Tenn (as a duo), both Gaku and Ryuu got so :( :( at the thought of being kind of left out, and then they were also worried that they’d left each other out, and! just! Trigger is a true trio, nobody wants to be left behind and the three of them together is the ideal.

(plus. haha. you cant expect me to watch Diamond Fusion and not ship them, right. i lost it at that one scene of Tenn turning his head and leaning in close between Gaku and Ryuu with that coy, teasing look.)

ANYWAYS. UM. i love both, but if i had to pick, i’ll go with GakuTenn. even if Gaku and Tenn spends most of their time bickering (which is cute too! some of it is the fond, playful kind), there’s so much mutual respect and trust between them. Gaku has repeatedly called Tenn the best center in the world, convinced that he knows Tenn so well he’ll argue with Riku about what Tenn is truly like (”I’m always by his side, there’s no way I’m wrong”). Tenn will openly admit to having full faith in their leader, and he’s said some pretty damn sappy stuff about the picture he took of Gaku for the birthday photobook LOL, with how he wanted a picture through which people can understand Gaku’s incredible gentleness and kindness. i treasure the moments when Gaku unexpectedly compliments him and Tenn just kind of ?!?!?!?!!?! with a tsun blush. plus, Gaku basically telling Kujou to fuck off and not come near Tenn again…legendary. he says so many good things in the last bit of part 3.

tho i love RyuuTenn too, they have some truly tender moments and are a good match as well! Tenn’s really nice to Ryuu sometimes and there are some hilarious RabiChats where he just…says something super kind to Ryuu and then TURNS AROUND AND ROASTS GAKU MERCILESSLY IN THE SAME BREATH. Ryuu’s the most caring boy ever who tries so hard and only ever wants his teammates to be happy, often saying he wants Tenn to rely on him, and Tenn often speaks extremely highly of Ryuu and makes an extra effort to be nice to him. there was like, a RabiChat where Ryuu gushes about how he’s happy that Tenn’s trying to be more social for him and chats with him often now, and that’s super super cute. 

overall i’m more attached GakuTenn (i guess they have…idk how to explain but? more of a fire to them? like there’s that immediate push and pull dynamic and sparks fly bc of their clashing personalities and bickering which just highlights how much they care about each other even more) but these are both such good ships and i adore them, okay. IT’S A HARD CHOICE.

obviously the best solution is to go Trigger OT3. but failing that, GakuTenn.

Honestly, I’ve never been too impressed with Acer’s Spin two-in-one laptops. They were OK, but against Lenovo’s Yoga, HP’s Envy or Spectre x360 and Dell’s XPS 13 2-in-1 they just couldn’t compete. Then, the new Spin 5 arrived earlier this year and it was hard not to take notice because it literally stood above the competition.

Co-engineered with Intel as part of its Project Athena program, Acer updated the design and features to improve its mobility, but also added a bright 2,256×1,504-pixel resolution, 13.5-inch touchscreen. The Spin 5 was originally priced starting at $899, but that was before the pandemic. You can get one direct from Acer for $999 with a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 or go up to a Core i7 for $1,099. In the UK, it sells for £1,099 and AU$2,162 in Australia. All in all, while the deal isn’t as good, the Spin 5 is still reasonably priced for everything you’re getting.

Less scrolling, more working

The slightly taller display might not seem like much but it does give you more room to work without significantly increasing its size compared to the typical 13.3-inch 16:9 laptop. For example, the Spin 5 is about the same width as the super-small Asus ZenBook 13 UX325JA but it has roughly the same screen height as a 15.6-inch laptop. So without significantly increasing the size of the laptop, you can keep more of what you’re working on, on the screen. And at only 2.7 pounds (1.2 kilograms) the larger display definitely didn’t impact its weight.

It’s like a digital sheet of paper

The extra vertical space is nice to have for working on the two-in-one in its laptop position, but it’s also nice in tablet mode. The 3:2 ratio and 13.5-inch size makes the display roughly the dimensions of A4-size paper. Add in the light weight and you can comfortably use the Spin 5 on your arm as you write on the screen — something that’s a little awkward with a larger 14-inch model like the Yoga C940. Like the Yoga, though, Acer includes a small active pen that stores and charges in a garage on the right side. 

The slim pen works well for quick sketches and taking notes.

The pen’s tip feels good on the Gorilla Glass display. Sort of like a wax pencil writing on glass. There’s enough friction that you don’t feel like you’re writing on glass but the movement is still fluid. I used it a lot with Microsoft’s OneNote and Whiteboard apps and it worked perfectly, even if it’s a little thin for me to use for an extended time. 

In general, the hinge design is similar to what you’d find on most other two-in-ones. Acer did design them to slightly lift the rear when you’re using it as a laptop, which is nice. I did notice that the hinges would occasionally become misaligned when opening it, however, requiring me to close and open it again to get them in line.

A connection assortment worth mentioning

The Spin 5 has two USB-A and two USB-C ports. The latter are Thunderbolt 3 and they can also be used for charging. However, it also has a barrel-connector charger so you can use both USB-C ports for other things. All three are on the left side, though, so you can only charge it from that side. Still, along with a full-size HDMI out and a microSD card slot, this laptop has more connections than most. 

The rest of the Spin 5 is what you’d expect to find on a premium two-in-one. There’s a comfortable backlit keyboard paired with a smooth precision touchpad with a responsive fingerprint reader embedded in it. The speakers are at the rear of the laptop and can be heard regardless of the mode the Spin 5 is in. They’re nothing special and to my ear sound better when you shut off the included DTS audio processing. 

No mic or webcam kill switches for privacy.

The webcam and mics are good, though in low light the video is definitely heavy with noise reduction to the point where I looked like a painting. Virtually no Chromebooks, Windows laptops or MacBooks have decent full-HD-or-better webcams, which is a shame now that everyone’s using them nonstop. Also, there is no webcam privacy shutter or mic kill switch on the keyboard, which the competition has at this price. 

Performance is on par with the leaders

Despite the thin body, the Acer Spin 5 has all the performance of its competitors (though it does get a little warm at times on your lap). This will have you covered for office tasks, school work and basic photo and video editing, so some light content creation isn’t out of the question with the Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics. It kept up or surpassed similarly configured models like the Yoga C940 and Spectre x360 13. 

As for battery life, it hit a solid 8 hours, 51 minutes on our streaming video test with the display brightness and volume set to 50%. That’s a little shy of what Acer expects you to get, so it should be possible to get better battery life with some more power management. I can say I had no problem writing, web browsing and streaming music for an entire 8-hour workday and still had an estimated 30% (1 hour, 50 minutes) remaining on the battery.

Modern cordless vacuums

Traditional dust bag vacuum cleaners are reliable and productive. Unfortunately, they are rather cumbersome, not very convenient for cleaning hard-to-reach places, and their work is accompanied by a fairly high noise level. Trying to get rid their models of these cons, at the beginning of the 21st century, companies actively began to develop the direction of robot vacuums. Unlike robots, they provide higher suction power. Of course, they are significantly inferior to corded models, the best models of which provide up to 300 Air Watts (AW). But price, compactness and versatility provide them with significant pros.

The Roidmi X20 cordless vacuum cleaner

Its design conforms to the traditional minimalist style without protruding parts and controls. In fact, the model is a handle with an ergonomic bend, button start and power control, an air filter, and one of the nozzles.

The nozzle with flexible hose is designed to clean hard-to-reach areas, including corners, crevices, furniture folds, etc. The mini brush can be manually rotated 360 °.

It's ideal for cleaning the curtains, tablecloths, sofas, PC keyboards and much more. The nozzle for Vacuum Mop Combo mode is a water container. It's attached to the main brush with the help of magnets.

Microfiber mop automatically absorbs water from the tank while mopping, using the principle of plant capillarity.

Battery

In our testing, the Vacuum Mop Combo mode was efficient and convenient for cleaning a long hallway, a small kitchen and a large room.

Of course, apps significantly affect the functionality of any modern smart device. To connect to a smartphone, the X20 uses Bluetooth. Roidmi cleaner app with firmware update function supports iOS and Android. It provides control of the current charge level, the time until the battery is fully charged, the standby time, and the wear of the main filter.

Setting the default operation power (minimum power after turning on) is the most important. The list of acceptable settings contains 60, 80 or 100 W, which correspond to 60, 45 or 35 minutes of cleaning time. Subjectively, 80 W is the most optimal choice, providing increased power while maintaining a normal duration. But Xiaomi's claimed compatibility with Mi Home requires choosing one of the regions of China during the first setup.

Testing

According to the developers, the 60-minute operation of the vacuum provides cleaning on an area of up to 380 square meters. But, of course, it depends on the cleaning quality, the evaluation of which is always individual. In our testing, it was cleaning of a 3-room apartment, X20 was compared to a powerful Siemens vacuum. We need to mention that the floors in two rooms are covered with low pile carpets. Usually, the time of such cleaning does not exceed 15-20 minutes. Roidmi X20 coped with this task in 27 minutes with the same quality. In addition, cleaning a small area of the carpet from rice took only a few minutes, even in Moderate mode. For the purity of the experiment, furniture and curtains were not cleaned. But a separate test of this mode also showed an excellent result. The X20 easily cleaned the curtains and keyboard at minimum power. The upholstery was cleaned in turbo mode in several minutes. In fact, the turbo mode was needed only for this purpose. For other tasks, Normal and Moderate power were sufficient. In addition, Vacuum Mop Combo mode helped quickly wipe floors instead of the traditional mop.

Conclusions

PROS: - excellent equipment provides wide functionality; - high suction power provides cleaning the carpets with low and medium-length pile; - very convenient automatic light; - 2-in-1 design; - wireless charging with Magnetic Wireless Charger; - Vacuum Mop Combo; - BMS-X battery management system; - long battery life at short charging time; - two brush rollers for different types of floors; - the innovative cyclone Air-X system prevents the loss of suction power due to clogging; - highly effective 6-step HEPA filtering; - stylish minimalist design. CONS: - no storage for accessories; - long-term cleaning in handheld mode tires the hand due to uneven distribution of weight; - the small bin capacity; - Vacuum Mop Combo mode requires skills; - small capacity of the water tank. Roidmi X20 cleaned a kitchen, hallway and three rooms with two low pile carpets on one full charge. At the same time, it was able to provide the cleaning quality no worse than powerful Siemens. But the cleaning time has increased by about 40%. Moreover, mop mode greatly simplified wet wiping. Therefore, the vacuum is especially convenient for cleaning apartments without carpets. But its use in Vacuum Mop Combo mode requires some skills. Unfortunately, it does not replace the traditional mopping of very dirty floors. To a greater extent, mop mode is designed for daily cleaning of not very dirty floors in the hallway or in the kitchen.
