Additional thoughts on bustin meshi (+ some bonus doodles at the end)
Being the mad scientists that they are, Ray and Egon can probably find a way to reverse the transformation spell on Peter, or at least give him the ability to switch between forms. But by this point Peter is so used to being a catboy (and not just mentally; his body is used to it too) that he still usually stays in that form, only reverting to a normal human appearance while on the surface and/or trying to make a good impression on people
Upon joining the party, Janine is extremely taken aback that they have a beastman in their midst; she'd heard of that kind of magic before but never encountered it in real life. She remains put off by Peter for a long time. Winston, meanwhile, takes it in stride and just assumes Peter is from a species that naturally looks like that-- sure, it's a little odd, but it's not that much stranger to him than an elf or a half-foot, since he didn't grow up around those races either
There's a bit in the gb movie novelization where Egon thought Ray's parents were trapped in the bermuda triangle, and I imagine something analogous happens here. Egon thinks they should go back to the dungeon where Ray's parents died and revive them and Ray is like "no it was years ago, there'd be nothing left of them to revive at this point" and Egon is like "it's okay we can use forbidden magic." This is a longstanding argument between them
Many people assume that Janine and Egon knew each other beforehand, with some even speculating that a less experienced magician like her only keeps her job through his good graces. This couldn't be further from the truth, as they were raised in very different social spheres, so she's about the only elf on the island who hadn't heard of Egon's academic accomplishments before they ended up working together. As for her keeping her job, that much is similar to canon-- she threatens to quit often, but sticks around because she knows they need her
At some point Ray offers to teach Winston some basic healing spells, which takes Winston by surprise because he didn't realize it was possible for tall-men to learn magic. His grandmother and many of his other ancestors were magicians, but his parents kept that a secret, not wanting their family to be persecuted for it. He's a bit resistant to learning magic even once Ray explains it's possible-- but still a more cooperative student than Peter, who has a personal grudge against any magic not cast by his close friends
This is kind of schrodinger's au for me where I can picture them as just a random party in the dungeon meshi world with no connection to the plot, BUT in a scenario where they're reenacting the dunmesh plot...
Dana is an artificer who's studying the paintings in the dungeon and wants to observe them up close in their original setting, so she hires Peter, Ray, and Egon to escort her through the dungeon. This upsets the dungeon lord, and next thing you know she's getting gobbled up. Egon teleports them back to the surface, where they realize they'll need more support for their rescue mission, so they hire Winston and Janine, neither of whom have any idea what they're getting into
And the rest is history :3

Moomin x JJBA AU - Intro post!
Hello!!!! I figured I should make a post about this, and probably some other aus too eventually…
(I’m gonna go ahead and put this under a cut cus it’ll be long, but even if you don’t care about the au I promise it’s not just words!!! I put silly drawings too!!!)
Alright! So this is an au where characters from jjba are like moomin characters! To clarify, they are still in their normal universe, with stands! (I may also do some spin offs in a no stands/ actually in moomin valley version of this au too!)
I’m calling this the “JOJOxter au” because all of the jojos are joxters :]
I’ll start with a list of each species + a brief explanation of traits / details!
(Note that I have made moomins / snorks roughly the same thing in this which is why there isn’t a section for moomins)
Joxters
Joxters are very cat like, in appearance and behavior. They tend to be very adventurous, though sometimes lazy by nature (though this is the general rule, there is of course exceptions to this!).
Physical traits can include: cat-like eyes (yellow sclera and cat pupils), retractable claws, sharp canine teeth, markings on the nose bridge, cat-like ears and tails, fur on various places of the body (hands, forearms, chest, legs, etc), and whiskers.
Mymbles
Mymbles are the most humanoid of the bunch. They can be anywhere from extremely short (like little my (from moomins) or diego (in my au), to extremely tall (like mymble mama or mista). Mymbles often have a love of chaos and general shenanigans. They are also known for having strong familial bonds. Mymbles are able to hibernate, and do so occasionally.
Physical traits can include: small horns with rounded ends, skinny tails, and sharp teeth.
Snufkins
Snufkin are a mix between Mymbles and joxters. They can show traits more similar to one or the other, be a perfect mix of the two, or even change from one to the other. As such a lot of their characteristics depend on the individual!
Physical traits can include: cat-like eyes (usually without the yellow sclera), tails, sharp teeth, pointy or claw-like nails, fur on various parts of the body, and whiskers.
Muddles
Muddles are generally known for being very emotional, or feeling one (or more) emotions very strongly. Usually anxiety or fear (moomin example is the muddler), but it can be any emotion(s). They often like to collect things, and get attached to or find comfort in their collection.
Physical traits can include: long floppy ears (like a rabbit’s), whiskers, long tails, fur on the legs, and large eyes.
Snorks
Snorks are very round looking creatures, known for being very soft! They are able to change the color of their fur based on their emotions. Snorks are known for being friendly or accommodating, but this is more due to general snork philosophy rather than a trait! They often have many hobbies, and are known to be very big on hibernating the winters away, though they don’t have to.
Physical traits can include: pointy ears, long tails with tufts of fur on the end, paw pads, and round faces
Here is a doodle page I did to decide how I want to draw each species:
Tumblr media
I just realized how long this is… yikes
Anyways! That’s basically the meat of it, so next is mostly just doodles!!!
Here’s bruno and jotaro! (Bruno is a snufkin and jotaro is a joxter)
Tumblr media
Here’s drawings of diego and silver bullet I did:
Tumblr media
[ID in alt text]
For context, this is how horses are drawn in the moomins (or at least *a* horse) and I thought it would be funny to draw them like that too!
So diego rides a normal sized horse in this, since having a small one would put him at a severe disadvantage in the race!
Here’s some miscellaneous drawings! (For reference fugo is a muddle, narancia and mista are mymbles, jolyne is a joxter, and FF is a snork!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this au instead of FF being plankton, they’re a bunch of hattifatteners!
Alrighty!!! That’s all! I hope you enjoyed, even if you just skimmed everything :]
Please reblog, comment, or send me asks about this au if you have any questions!!!

Wanna see my doodles of my Shazam AU I've literally never talked about in public? Of course you do
Basic gist is that she's transfem; she originally goes by "B" instead of a name, but eventually names herself "Bea" or "Bee" (haven't decided yet; might even just have her end up still using Billy). Sivana is her sort of guardian while also being one of her main villains. Also Mr. Mind lives in the house with them posing as a simple pet while mind-controlling Sivana; he isn't totally innocent though since he still tried to take over the world before Mr. Mind showed up.
This started with just the Tiny Titans Mr. Mind doodle but then I started doing AU stuff to try figuring out what B looks like (and two attempts at drawing Sivana since I don't draw old people often and need to improve)
ID in alt/below cut
[Image Description: A page full of black and white pencil doodles of headshots of B/Shazam, Mr. Mind, and Dr. Sivana. From left to right and top to bottom are the following doodles:
-Dr. Sivana, similar to his appearance in the Shazam movie. He wears circle glasses and has a glowing eye.
-B looking shocked and yelling "Sans Undertale?" in all caps. Sivana responds with "Stop saying that I don't know who that is"
-Mr. Mind, similar to his appearance in the Tiny Titans comics, where he wears large round glasses and a top hat. He doesn't have any antennae or his radio, his spots are one color, and the markings on his back aren't black.
-Mr. Mind, looking closer to his original appearance, wearing a bow above his radio. He is smiling and thinking "I will not swear I will not swear I will not-"
-Mr. Mind staring straight at the viewer and saying "Trans rights or your life". A little bit below him is Shazam looking to the side and saying "I am trans". She has longer hair than her canon appearance.
-B and Mr. Mind next to each other. B has chin length black hair that covers her right eye. She is side-glancing at Mr. Mind and thinking "He has no idea I know he's controlling Sivana". Mr. Mind is thinking "She has no idea I know she's Shazam".
-Two doodles comparing B's appearances. The first shows her with chin length black hair that nearly covers her right eye and a streak in it. This one is labeled "Bee (A year later)". The second one shows her with bangs that almost reach her eyes and her hair almost reaches her chin. In both pictures she is smiling, though her smile is bigger in the first one.
-Mr. Mind smiling as he says "It's me boy I'm the PS5". He's showing teeth and looks malicious.
-B with eyeshadow, looking bored. She has chin length black hair with bangs that nearly cover her eyes.
-B as Shazam saying "Who needs HRT when you're Shazam?" She has half of her hair swept to the side and the other half is shaved.

Im not sure this is the right blog to ask this, but do you have any advice for drawing more loosely?
i think the key to this is 1. letting go of caring too much when drawing and 2. practicing enough u have a good foundation in muscle memory w/ drawing!
i always recommend people to try drawing with pens. not even fancy ones, just like ball points on like shitty notebooks or whatever. i say this because i think what helped me most personally was, throughout high school the only things i carried around with me to write with were pens and i’m someone who sometimes need to doodle to focus (i’ll zone out of lengthier lectures or meetings sometimes if i cant doodle while listening), so i’d end up doodling on margins a lot in ink.
that of course, is more permanent than say a pencil, and drawing so much like that teaches you to be a bit more deliberate about your strokes. but u may say wait! if im drawing with something i cant erase/ctrl alt z, wouldnt that go against point no. 1 up above??? and my answer is… u still gotta try to care not too much. if youre doodling with pens and something comes out looking off, just like move to the side of the page and draw it again, or draw something else. I KNO that is easier said than done but like thats always how i am. i just dont take doodles like that too seriously (bc if i was setting up for a drawing that i DID want to look good id obv be starting with pencil or just straight up in photoshop where everything is undo-able haha)
BUUUT the main point is like. this is an exercise to get u more comfortable with drawing. if u feel more comfy with your muscle memory foundation, you’ll be a bit less high strung when drawing, and it’ll just come out naturally. the key is feeling less precious about every single thing you draw, because that will only stunt you in the end
i like still do all this myself, like these below are things in my notebook from just these past few weeks that i did during meetings at work (pfft). theyre not the prettiest doodles in the world but its about getting that drawing exercise (and also i like constantly have a drawing itch i need to scratch so this helps klfdjg but thats just me)
IN CONCLUSION U JUST GOTTA DRAW A LOT AND try not to care because eventually the feeling u gotta be high strung and make every stroke perfect WILL disappear!! u gotta build yourself that trust and the good looser drawings will come!!

One day I was stretching in the little space the tiny University Fitness gym allotted for such activity, and Mae happened to be there doing her Yoga. We were friends and had gone to the Puyallup fair with some mutual pals, like Lisa Yu and another personal trainer from the gym, John Tailor.
By the way, John ended up in a reality TV show called “Too Fat For Fifteen,” and ended up getting his Ph.D. and being teacher of the year in New Jersey. At the time, he liked Mae and was always hitting on her. Sorry, bud.
John Taylor in “Too Fat For 15” Reality TV
I was usually very private, but for some reason, I decided to come clean and needed to confess to someone—so I told Mae I was a homeless derelict. She took pity on me and decided to help. It just so happened that she was house-sitting for some rich doctor friends in Seattle, taking care of their dogs in their frequent absences.
She let me stay at her apartment while she was gone! Can you believe the faith of this woman? To this day, she admits she has never even thought of doing something like that before. I now get to tell people that I lived with her before we even dated. Talk about a crazy conversation starter!
I moved in and even slept in her bed (without her being there of course), while she was gone and my brand new apartment was finishing inspection. Later, when she came back, I moved to the couch as the project continued to be delayed. We had many conversations late into the night and actually got to know each other a little.
When I moved out, I asked my dad to help me build something for her as a gift. She didn’t have a good towel rack in her apartment, so we fashioned one out of wood and added some elaborate scroll saw work on the side of a tropical scene for decoration. We stayed in touch and eventually started dating.
It was near the end of my college years that decided to get back to the theater and I began auditioning for local theater on the professional level. I wanted to see where the dance training, combined with my music minor and acting training combined would take me.
It was then that the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle took note of me and made me one of their premier chorus boys off and on seasonally from about 2000 to 2005. I worked through the ranks as an Equity actor and had a few good roles as well.
My first show was Gypsy, the life of Gypsy Rose Lee, one of my favorite musicals, where I danced with a few other great performers like Louis Hobson (who has some notoriety in Seattle with his own theater and a few IMBD credits), along with Greg Allen, one of the funniest men I have ever met and the greatest tap dancer.
Gypsy at the 5th Avenue Theatre
Greg has made a life of working professionally in the northwest and rarely needs to find other jobs, other than working at a coffee shop here and there between gigs. He made that choice long ago, stuck with it, and I commend him for it. The lead in Gypsy was played by Judy Kay, a fantastic and powerful singer with a long career on Broadway, who we used to see singing in New York at the Macy’s Day Parade. Every night I used to marvel as she closed the show with high notes and a ringing vibrato that filled the halls: “Everything’s coming up roses for me and for you!” I was a regular Joe among true battle-tested professionals.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Over the years I would perform in shows like Most Happy Fella, the 5th’s 75th Anniversary Gala fundraising events, Hair (twice, where I was the psychedelic modern dancer and acrobat with a giant glow in the dark phallus that everyone obviously assumed was real), A Chorus Line, playing the role of Don, The Wizard of Oz (the hardest show to be ensemble in, with all the crazy set changes and the green unitards), Yankee Doodle Dandy, a Hairspray Promo, Singin’ in the Rain, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, where I got to back up a special show with Lucy Lawless, popular at the time for her role as Xena the Warrior Princess on TV.
Lucy was amazing, tall, beautiful and extremely gracious to us chorus boys and girls. We got to pick her up and twirl her and I was the one with the knee to the ground so she could sit on my lap as she flirted with the audience and sang.
After the show, as we left the stage door in the alley, I had never seen so many ravenous fans awaiting any performer. Even on Broadway, when I later waited for friends to get out of their shows, even the big stars did not draw these kinds of crowds. It also happened that this crowd filled the entire alley and circled out into the street and around the city block, all awaiting with bated breath the appearance of Lucy Lawless.
It was the largest number of Lesbians to ever congregate in one area at one time. We should have called the Guinness Book Of World Records, as it surely would have made the cover.
As with everyone else, Lucy was patient and gracious and took plenty of time to greet her fans and sign autographs. Poor clueless me thought it might be for us boys, and immediately checked my posture and flexed my muscles. I couldn’t understand why they never gave me or the other boys a second look. One of my coworkers had to point out to me that Lucy had a huge Lesbian following that traveled from all over to see her. We could have done a ribbon cutting ceremony of the alley and named it the New Isle of Lesbos.
We all went to dinner at Palomino’s just down the block after the show. Lucy went out of her way to raise us up and even kissed us on the cheek in front of our fans and parents just to make us look good. My uncle to this day is mesmerized by the lifestyle I lived, and everyone enjoyed the pleasant fiction that I had exotic Amazon women singers and dancers hanging all over me on a daily basis feeding me grapes.
Singing, dancing, and acting all at the same time requires a certain set of skills that relatively few people master. I was so fortunate to be allowed into this elite group of people for a short time in my life.
At the time, I had no clue how rare the opportunity or how lucky I was. I was having a blast and working hard and making more money than I had ever made in my life.
During college, I had tried a ton of entrepreneurial ways to make money, including starting a jewelry business, buying “tiny little ads” in newspapers, and even buying and selling real estate. I was constantly reading the papers and thinking outside of the box and going to seminars. It was an incredible time of dreaming and conquest for me.
My friend Gary called me an “Artist-Entrepreneur,” and I began to try to live up to it. I looked into starting a dance school, started an Internet import business before everyone else was doing it, and also took jobs for local ballet companies playing the prince in the Nutcracker or something when I wasn’t working at the 5th Avenue Theatre. I did a couple of runs with a theater on Vashon Island, where the parents and patrons of the theater would house me and feed me while I did the show. I lived out of a backpack and didn’t need much at all to live, so I was very happy.
Also beginning around 2001 I moved to New York City to try my hand there. When I wasn’t in Seattle working for the 5th, I was on an airplane. I found a scholarship that helped with the costs and decided to maximize it.
I stayed with a college friend, Ryan Jones, or “Jones” as we all called him, who had graduated from the UW drama program and married another artist, thereby landing in the Burrough of Queens. Jones was running a non-profit and starting this own theater projects. He now runs a new dance and performance art physical theater company with his new wife in Los Angeles.
It was a culture shock for me, but very good. I rode the trains and subways and lived in spare rooms and on couches for months at a time. I took dance classes alongside New York City Ballet dancers (that could mop the floor with me) and singing lessons from an amazing old sage called Maria Farnsworth who trained New York City Opera singers. I auditioned and honed my craft. I was eating, breathing, and sleeping New York and I loved the Big Apple and all its glory.
I ended up sleeping on a futon at my college roommate, Michael Bilikas’ pad in Greenwich Village. Michael was at this point at NYU dental school, and still on his phone all the time. His place was $1,700 per month for a tiny studio apartment in the early 2000’s, and the place was hopping all night. The only hour of quiet was between the hours of 3 am and 4 am, when the nightlife finally died down, and right before the garbage trucks came to clean up to start the day all over again.
A week before 9-11 I was in still in New York, preparing to fly to the gulf side of Florida to visit with my parents who were on vacation to see my aunt’s new place. She had moved to start over and was tired of the rain and cold in Washington State.
Around that time, Mae had decided on her own to come visit me in our tiny palace of squalor in Manhattan. I was too dense to admit it to myself at the time, but our relationship was going somewhere and she was pursuing me. I had long ceased to pursue anyone and was happy with my only-child alone time, and single laissez-faire lifestyle. I was focused on my fanciful career pursuing the elusive stage.
Mae and I did a little tour and ended up at the twin towers and then decided to have lunch in the financial district. I was comfortable getting around but didn’t really know that area. I decided to take her to lunch, but we couldn’t find even a lowly sandwich place that I didn’t have to take out a mortgage to afford.
I ended up putting an over-priced soup and sandwich on my credit card and tried to be chivalrous. I wanted to stay in New York City, and I secretly hoped Mae would just stay, but we both knew I didn’t have a real job or any kind of financial security to speak of, and we all know how attractive a man is and how secure his lady feels when the best he can offer is a futon in a dental student’s apartment.
I flew out from NYC and directly into the airport that we later found out the terrorists flew out from. I remember how laid back and relaxed that airport was then. The trip to Florida was short, but again reminded me how much I love the sunshine and palm trees.
As soon as I got back to Seattle we saw on TV a plane crashing into the twin towers. We were all in shock and completely stunned by the tragedy. The little airport in Florida and every other airport in the country decided to start increasing the security after that.
Life After High School: Chapter 9 Vagabond One day I was stretching in the little space the tiny University Fitness gym allotted for such activity, and Mae happened to be there doing her Yoga.

Of course, I had to draw these two together for this idea
I'd imagine while he lost his memories, the void poisoning and staining remains. While he can see his black hands and feel the void in his system, it's hard for him to wrap his head around having a void being as a baby, so he at first stubbornly rejects the idea they're his child. Until he sees his moulds and workshop, and while he doesn't know how or why, he can put two and two together. And just wonders what the fuck did he do to his kid? And while he's young and doesn't want children at this point, he warms up a little to them after that and is willing to take care of them.

Somehow a very simple drawing idea spiraled into me Thinking About Things.... I didn't end up doing any additional drawings for the concepts I wound up considering (aside from some notebook doodles that didn't turn out good enough to post) but I'm putting some ramblings under the cut (ID in alt text)
Tumblr media
So, suppose Neil does encounter Yotsuba Koiwai in the field instead of the bad luck demon. How'd she end up in Massachusetts? Don't think too hard about it, but let's assume that she got lost somehow and is wandering around all by herself. Hey, actually, maybe this is from before her dad adopted her... or in an au where he never met her? Hmm, much to think about right off the bat. Anyway...
Neil decides that she's a good luck charm because of her hair and he cheerfully shows her off to Ryan and Kevin. They decide to take her home with them (because they're a bunch of bozos who don't consider the ramifications of something like that)
Yotsuba is kind of confused by these guys and their whole deal ("New kids? Ahaha, but you're grown-ups!") But they make a good impression on her because she's never met grown-ups who hang out in fields picking clovers and flying kites before. It's weird but it's also fun, y'know?
You know how the second scene from the lost episode was supposed to be them building a house of cards? I think they're still doing that while Yotsuba is sitting on the floor next to them stacking blocks. Eventually she says she's hungry; cue the "oh geez what do kids like??" discussion
She says she likes milk so they give her some "milk chocolate" to tide her over while Ryan cooks her something
K: Ryan's a good cook, y'know. He makes a deadly batch of cookies, literally.
N: Geez, don't put it like that, you're gonna make her think we're trying to poison her or something! [Aside] You're not putting any poison in there, are you, Ryan?
R: What was that? Put poison in this?
N&K: NO DON'T!!
It's fine, he makes a normal plate of curry or something and Yotsuba loves it enough that she decides to keep hanging out with them
We already know Kevin is good with children because his introduction as a character is him entertaining a kid and he canonically ends up with grandkids as an old man. He takes Yotsuba to the park and they play catch with a football
However, the football accidentally hits her in the face and she becomes distrustful of him from that point, much to his chagrin
Now clearly nkotr doesn't take place in the same universe/timeline/whatever as the video "MarcoBat16 Visits Neil Cicierega" but I'm going to borrow a bit of lore from that video and say that Neil is protective of his puppets and doesn't want other people touching them. This causes a bit of tension at first but the issue dissolves once Neil and Ryan bring out some other puppets and toy-type things that they don't mind if Yotsuba borrows
On that note I think Yotsuba is just young enough not to register anything about Ryan as creepy or weird. Like you know those stories about little kids who love scary monster animatronics or whatever because they haven't been taught that those things are scary yet? It's like that. Ryan is like "and here's my weird mannequin head and my voodoo doll!" and Yotsuba is like "wow awesome!! :D"
I also think that she braids his hair and puts lots of bows in it and stuff. She's never met a guy with long hair before so this is an exciting new opportunity for her
Neil tries to teach her to play video games and it doesn't work at all, she's still too little to really get how the games work and just hammers madly on the buttons. He somehow takes this as another sign that she's a good luck charm, because ever since he started playing against her he always wins!
Kevin makes several attempts to win back Yotsuba's good graces, including introducing her to Rocky because kids generally like dogs. This backfires because Rocky jumps up and barks too loud, which startles Yotsuba. She warms up to the dog quickly enough, though
What finally does succeed in getting Yotsuba to trust and like Kevin again is him agreeing to lend her some money so she can buy candy after both Neil and Ryan told her no
Assuming that the premise here is just that Yotsuba got extremely lost while visiting overseas, this would be about when her dad finally finds her and takes her home. HOWEVER, assuming that this is a timeline where Mr. Koiwai never adopted her....
After she hangs out with them for... let's say a couple of weeks? The new kids decide she should "start pulling her weight" and get her to help them out with filming their next webisode. She has lots of fun with the camera, but they don't really teach her how to use it (they assume she already knows even though there's no reason why she should know something like that) so all the shots are really unfocused with lots of shaky cam and poor framing, etc.
But it's too late to re-record so they submit it to the studio as like an avante-garde found footage piece and the studio actually approves
After a quick "background check" to make sure she's not going to turn out like Spencer (she passes this test with flying colours because she doesn't even understand the concept of liking things ironically, or know what Myspace is or what onion rings are) they officially welcome Yotsuba onto the team :3 Her theme colour is green, of course
