in @magthemage and I’s Android AU, Risotto Nero is a medical android who has a very rocky (dubious) past and is kinda finding his way as he goes - v much a ‘do what I must to survive’ kind of guy... though he draws a line at senseless loss of ('good’) human life - whether due to his programming or his sentience, is up for debate. ...That’s not to say he hasn’t taken lives before, however... He’s v likely the reason Miriam (my OC) survives her encounter with EcciDiO (because of his medical capabilities) that led to her meeting Professor Brando and started the events of our shared AU! (the ‘current’ events, anyway) - their meeting was completely by chance but taking a chance on him proved to be the right call, and now he’s in the service of Professor Brando because she encouraged him to pursue his sentience and what he *wanted* to do...

I’ve been having big brain rot about Nero (and how Miriam passed up the chance to date him in the au, smh) BUT one of the perks of being an artist is I can just *make* that content i passed up, and no one can stop me hehe 😏 . (Mag is actively encouraging it tho so it is supported and not really rebellious lmao) . anyway I haven’t drawn him much and wanted to give it another go! medical androids have all kinds of tools hidden just beneath the skin... so I think it goes well with his ‘canon’ version of himself too in that regard hahaha . the AU has a lot of canon characters in it, but because of the fact so many androids are ‘model lines’, they may come off as ‘ooc’ to a degree, and that’s intended! i think of it like every android has a little piece of the canon character in them (the multiple Dios being the best example imo), it just varies on their circumstances and experiences!

We’re gonna ignore the fact it’s nearly 3 am while I type this but I’m gonna for once embrace my true cringe-I say as cringe is dead-and admit at least here since I said it on twit but not everyone follows me there that I’ve been cooking up a getter crossover fic with mega man ZX of all things. Why? Well next to mega man being what truly sparked my obsession for robots and ZX is my favorite series of the franchise there is a scary amount of similarities between the two that a crossover unironically fucking works well. Like I don’t think it was anything intentional, ZX definitely has some mecha influence like every other mega man series but it was more so (obviously) inspired off of toku if we focus on an genre in Japan. However both in a way can be boiled down to “humanity’s future is tied directly to machines” and “destiny is my path to choose” in terms of narrative themes so they legit stick together sososso well.

(also I noticed like- Arma!Kei and Go and Ashe and Grey are almost scarily fucking similar minus Ashe&Grey actually getting to know each other since that sadly doesn’t happen-in the manga they do meet but they aren’t related rip-in game but I might need to save that for a different post even though it’s not at all in the au since there’s no place for it I just I rotate it constantly)

Me and my beta reader were so insane enough that for nearly a YEAR we figured out this au because it was just “what if ryoma but in ZX” for the longest fucking time I’m not fucking exaggerating because it’s a semi trend of mine to want to throw ryoma into other series even if I’ve mostly restrained myself with this 💀 But when the fic is up I will likely be tagging it under ZXG so it’s easy to organize so yeah.

Just thought of a small AU that I felt like sharing with you

The Unova kids as, kids.

Imagine if the six of them had somehow met before they became trainers and set out on their journeys

Just cute moments of them together, Iris boasting about how she’s already using her grandpas Pokémon to train to be a gym leader, N sneaking out of the castle to meet up with the five of them, Hilda, Hilbert, Cheren, and Bianca asking their parents to drop them off so they can hang out with Iris and N. Just the six of them being the best of friends

Now imagine when the events of BW happen :)

N is being forced by Ghetsis to turn against his friends and his friends being conflicted, cause on one hand The King of Team Plasma is causing chaos and wreckage in Unova, but on the other hand N is their friend since they were young. They don’t want to have to hurt him

Also it’s like 11:30pm and I’m tired so idk if this is even consistent with the story/plot of the games or if it even makes sense

No but,,, no but Ghetsis knowing abt N and how he'd sneak out from the castle just to hang out w the rest of his friends, and like, at first he wanted to take him and go on w that whole humans and pkmn speech, but like, him deciding to just let him be and let the betrayal break him soon and such

I do know tho that once N's friends hear Ghetsis call N a "freak without a human heart" they'd all go batshit, like I want it to be the breaker for them, that they'd really start attacking Ghetsis directly instead of just his pkmn, and it actually caught both Ghetsis and N off guard cause Ghetsis himself didn't expect them to really attack him directly.

And like cbdmnd imagine Bianca and Hilda taking N away from Ghetsis tho, bc despite the fact that he's the King of Plasma, and they did hear from Anthea and Concordia what Ghetsis did to N, all that abuse and manipulation, and they didn't know N was going through all that, so now that they know, they'll make sure that N doesn't have to go through all that anymore, they'll make sure of it

It would also be dope tho, if N got Reshiram in this, and like,, it flew over to Hilbert, waiting for his commands, and Ghetsis was shocked bc why would Reshiram, whose trainer is N, would listen to the commands of someone who isn't its trainer? Then he sees even Bianca and Cheren could command Zekrom and such, and then suddenly Reshiram listens to them too, and before they could land the finishing blow, he escaped

And just cjdmnd N's there wondering why they didn't just take him out too, he's the King of Plasma, surely he deserves the same treatment as Ghetsis, but just cjmdnd the others just hugging him and telling him that he didn't know any better, Ghetsis was a cruel man who used him for his own selfish deeds, they know that N was a good person, and they'll continue to believe that, and they'll make everyone see it as well.

But like,, N still wanting that space to think tho, and still left Unova to do some more self reflection stuff and such, and while it did hurt the others, they left him be, respecting his choices. On a lighter note, imagine his surprise the moment he got back, Cheren becams Gym Leader, Bianca became a researcher, Iris and Hilbert became Champions, and Hilda was still the Hero patrolling Unova, and he's just "I missed a lot"

Anyways they're all soft after that bc I said tho and bc I'm so weak for them like your honour please I know for a fact they had a sleepover the moment N got back bc they missed him so much and they didn't want him to go anywhere anymore, not where they couldn't follow, please your honour N just telling them he's not going anywhere, he's finally home
