I wonder if it's a design choice or the devs themselves can't make up their mind, but why did Solomon's eye colour "change" in NB? The chibi sprites in the OG show his eyes are shades of grey to brown/almost gold-bronze.

The NB chibi sprite shows his eyes to be dark blue and brownish-gold.

Don't even get me started with the cards and merch that can't make up his effing eye colour

To my Solobesties (I'm calling Solomon stans this now. I think we formed a strange kinship after lesson 17 even if we never interact lmao), especially artist solobesties, hats off to you and your service to the community.

My personal HC is kinda a spoiler for uhhhh something I'm writing, but here it is:

His eyes trembled as he met with yours. How could he have hidden this part of himself for this long? How could you not notice? How could you forget? How could Father be so cruel to him and you for simply existing? You traced the corner of his lips with your thumb as you held him by the cheek. He was leaning onto your right hand, unable to maintain his gaze. He was surprisingly bashful. Adorably shy without his facades. But he looked like he would crumble even with a gentle word so you did not say anything. He looked at you expectantly, then looked away as your gaze burned onto him for too long and muttered, "You can't figure me out?"in almost a whisper, after a long-drawn out silence, weighing in his words, watching your expressions and body language. Afraid, so deathly afraid. You smiled. "It's like I'm looking at a mirror. Sometimes it's silver, sometimes it's midnight. When you look at the world around you and then look back at me, I feel like you've captured the sky and the oceans in your eyes. It's beautiful." His face was red all over, even to the tips of his ears. It was such a shame. You haven't even said everything you wanted to say to him yet. That he was the moon and the stars to your daytime; gold and silver gazes, looking after you from afar in the many branches of realities he couldn't be as honest with you as he was now. Ah. What will you do without him now? How can you give this up after remembering everything? You knew it was selfish, but you love him. Both of him. Every part of him just as much as he loved you and every part of you that existed. But now, you had to say goodbye. Again. How truly unfair.

ok ive had enough of queering judaism. can we start judaizing queerness now. or something

#like. it feels like so much of this queering judaism shtus just layers an american/secular queer identity over judaism #which i guess is fine for certain communities. but it's only going to push you away from orthodoxy #and if as queer jews we already feel like our queerness makes us into secularized outsiders in our own communities #how does this help? is trying to get our communities to embrace an essentially secular american iteration of queer identity supposed to mak #us feel LESS like outsiders? it's not quite doing it for me #we need a queerness that comes from within judaism that is essentially jewish #ive seen a couple of articles recently from ppl talking abt how word/concept of butch doesnt exist in their language & culture #but they use it anyway #& like. i love being butch. it's important to me ill never give it up #& i am american too. but my whole identity as a butch he/him lesbian is exclusively secular american it came from the outsifr #which is definitely due in large part to the fact that my Gender Problems were really tied up w orthodox jewish gender roles #so naturally to get out of that i'd pull on something not jewish. but i wish there was another option? idk if that's possible #or how it would look #maybe that's why im obsessed w the idea of a butch w long curly payos.... 😦#i forgot where i was going w this but yeah it's frustrating #this is a large part of why im wary of starting a queer Jewish club on campus bc the people who would wanna start it w mr #well no offense but they are insufferable about this #(incidentally they're also insufferable about chanukah. no surprises there)#nachi speaks #jew blogging #others have Actually written abt all this tho

clark is not a good liar, but he is great at keeping secrets and can be described as secretive by lois...

#i think of this a lot. his lies are so bad the only reason he gets away w lies as clark kent is cuz how he built #clark ken.ts reliability ( his human person is meant to be percieved as flighty. flakey. )#but when it comes to secrets such as his identity. being supe.rman. his true feelings..HE IS A PROFESSIONAL AT HIDING IT #clark was raised to hide who he truly is and what he is capable of. in fact he is so conscience of not giving anyone any signals due to the #he has to keep track of everything he does. such as having to pretend to be weak. having to give way when being shoved like a human #pretending to be tired when he jogs by panting. conscience that he has to say ow when he falls #basically clark is extremely aware of how to not give anything away that he is so good at being secretive #and sometimes this DOES awfully effecti his relationships #example one: he was too scared to tell lois he was superman even if he was dating her ( in some iterations ) so he prolonged it...#example 2: lois once called off their engagment because clark never mentioned he had once been engaged to a woman he had been #hanging out with again ( completely platonic btw ) but in clarks head hes like #just so good at not mentioning things since he thinks it doesnt matter to be mentioned if itll add strain?#idk hes weird like hes an honest man he wont lie to you but hes justa professiona secret keeper on a subconscious level atp #❝ 𝗢𝗢𝗖 ⁂ ꞉ [ out of character ] ¡#also i welcome muses confronting him on his secretive nature. its not healthy sometimes ngl

i think spearmaster and srs’ relationship is a lot more interesting than people usually make it in fan material… srs was apparently originally ‘repulsed’ (quite literally the word used) by spearmaster, but by the time it’s campaign rolls around, has become so attached they actively worry for it to nsh, being unable to imagine what would happen if it were seriously harmed… test tube baby emotions

#though they did also take the time to teach it basically sign language(?) instead of just giving it the mark and being done with it… much to #think about #i cant describe it well in this post #i just think people make them the Teehee loving slug iterator relatjonship #mostly cuz them + moon n riv are the only ones shown to deeply care for their little critters to my knowledge #bc i think people barely figured out nsh made hunter bc of their ascension screen #or maybe they don’t? idk.. maybe i haven’t seen enough fan content .#but srs has complex emotions for their carrier pigeon #it’s cute #rain world #my favorite slug iterator relationship is srs and spear and pebbles and artificer because they’re SO funny #pebbles and his weird cat who is divinely protected from his wrath.#& suns who wants to have a strict business relationship with their cat but leaves out too many open cans of tuna for it to stab for that #to be the case

#on top of finding the time to nudge his regulars towards finding true love #love a guy who can do it all!#the jungle #the jungle the series #but also there's something about hunter slash his bar forever playing matchmaker to the guys of the jungle #while he himself remains solitary and all alone #(like not a SINGLE co-worker even)#for all their camaraderie and shared secrets #hunter still always remains slightly removed from the rest of the group #there's the prey and the predators playing out the naturals laws of the jungle #and hunter... only oversees so far? oversees. facilitates. protects.#but never hunts #yet at least #anyway idk where im going with this #but heh kinda like idea of a fantasy AU esque thing where #not only is Rendezvous a place you'll never find unless it wants you to find it (when the Jungle decides they want you to find it)#but hunter being the same #kinda like those coffeeshop AUs where the fantasy coffeeshop appears when it wants and changes the trajectory of your life #anyway Hunter choosing to watch this iteration of the Jungle perform their roles and live their lives and fall in love #watching and narrating #and once this part of their stories wraps up and his job here is done #rendezvous and hunter disappear from their lives to reopen elsewhere in space and time and facilitate the stories of a different group #or something. idk I should stop rambling in the tags when I'm sleepy #anyway. hunter's lack of a staff at his bar amuses me greatly. that's what this post was supposed to be yes #placeholder tag
