Broken Resonance

Jasper: “treasurer”

Jerecho: normally spelled Jericho. It means “city of the moon,” and was the city that the Israelites marched around and felled. It spelled “wrong” because his bioparents were trying to be artsy (also I was trying to be artsy because his nickname Echo. Echo came to me because I thought it was a cool name for a ghost which was what he originally was.)

Brass: (for spoiler purposes we won’t be using his real name) an alloy of copper and zinc. His nickname however comes from the fights he gets in because he uses Brass knuckles. Idr how it came to me, just thought it was cool.

Mitchell: English variation of Michael "who is like God"

Mercedes: “gracious gifts, benefits.” “Mercedes is one of the few names attached to luxury living…it being a legitimate Spanish appellation stemming from one of the epithets given to the Virgin Mary--Santa Maria de las Mercedes, or Our Lady of the Mercies.” Source

Sterling: “of the highest quality”

Raegan: “little king”

The Darkness Chronicles

Desabelle: I made this one up actually. I wanted her nicknames to be “Des” and “Desa” so I just looked for other names that had that “a” sound with an extension if that makes sense (see: Annabelle)

Axel: “father of peace” (real ironic since he creates a lot of conflict)

Logan: “little hollow” (this is fitting)

Shane: “God is gracious”

Raelynn: “Raelynn is an invented English name that became popular during the 21st century. The name starts with the element rae. This use of rae can have several meanings. Rae is the short form of Rachel (meaning “ewe”), the feminine short form of Raymond (meaning “protective advisor”), or the alternative spelling of “ray” (as in sunbeam). The suffix -lynn means “lake.”” Source

Cassiopeia: “cassia juice,” “she who chooses to excel.” “The name Cassiopeia is a girl's name of Greek origin. It is “the name of a mythological mother who became a stellar constellation.” Source

Miscellaneous

Zereus: another one I made up of two names. Zeru which means “sky” and another one I can’t find :/ maybe Zeus which also means “sky” but his name on Lyre means “stormy.”

Kaiper: Axel’s future son. He wanted to name him after a space related thing, his wife wanted to name him Kai, which means “sea.” Axel tried for Kuiper, his wife asked for the spelling “Kaiper.” Axel settles for the spelling but they argue about it a lot.

Alias: not his real name, but when he’s on the run and trying to keep his name private, he’s asked what his name is. “My name?” “Yeah, your name” “…” “Your name, kid. Your alias, what you go by. C’mon, it ain’t that hard.” So he took Alias lol

Lunaura: another one I made up, literally from the words “Luna” and “aura.” It means “moon’s aura.”

Varian: “variable” or “fickle.” He’s one clone of many, all of them are called Variants. He was just the one his father deemed the best, cut off the “t” and bam. His name. (Apparently it’s the name of a WoW character?? But I didn’t know that. I don’t play WoW.)

my beautiful friend @cynotype (follow her, she is lovely) tagged me in this pair of ask games, so I’m gonna answer them woo!

1- Relationship Status: Single and trying to work on myself before I try to date anyone else again.

2- Lipstick or chapstick: I honestly hate both of them.

3- Three Favorite Foods: I add so much garlic, salt, and vinegar to various foods that it’s become a meme.

4- Song Stuck In Your Head: Brain Dead from A New Brain -- something about the tempo and pacing of this song resonates with me me when I’m stressed and anxious or hypomanic, so sometimes I’ll loop it when I’m feeling that way. Also Jonathan Groff is a gift.

Writing Tag

1. When starting something new, how much do you know about the story before you start writing?

Oh god this assumes I actually start writing and don’t spend endless time planning shit...

somehow both too much and not enough

2. What draws you to your WIP(s)? Why did you choose to write that/those over anything else?

I really love magic and have always wanted to write fantasy or scifi, but I love dealing with the small human problems within star-touched worlds rather than grand stories of saving the planet.

3. Favorite writing spot? Why?

I’m about to move so I haven’t let myself fall in love with any spots here, but I love cute cafés in general for writing -- something about the café atmosphere works really well for me.

4. Share your favorite line of what you’ve written so far!

Luke’s heart was trying to claw its way up his throat. Olivia’s mouth tasted like a mentholated cherry cough drop, and his lips were going numb. His hands and mouth and tongue moved without him telling them to, like he was watching himself kiss her in a movie. Some sort of artsy indie movie, too -- the room around them felt blurry like an impressionist painting.

apparently not wanting to kiss people is one of my strengths as an ace writer who knew

5. If you had to choose one oc to bring to life as an actual person, which one would it be and why?

Oh god Luke I’m sorry but you’re the only one who isn’t an absolute twat yet

6. Are you looking to get published? If so, do you hope to make it a career?

I’d like to be published someday, but if I die without being published I won’t linger as a ghost or anything -- I have other career plans.

7. What’s something you would read but would never write (or the other way around)? Any reason?

I really love reading mysteries, but it’s not really what I find rewarding to write.

8. What’s something you are most proud of about your work so far?

uh tbh too early in the process to find much to be proud of beyond the fact that I’m trying to make there be more of it now.

9. Badly describe your WIP(s) in one sentence.

Luke has a gay furry panic at boarding school

10. Why did you want to be a writer?

I want to create things. Ideally good things, but I’m not picky.

Fanfiction Writer Asks

Most of the writer ask posts I come across are only like ten or so questions long so I thought I’d try to make a longer one because we like talking about our writing! Feel free to reblog!

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction? 12 or so

2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one? Marvel,DC,Riverdale,WWE,Harry Potter,Anything that sparks My creativity really. Favorite so far would be Marvel.

3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer. OC’s,they’re just easier and I can give My Character more personality then Y/N.

4) What is your favourite genre to write for? Romance,Drama and Fantasy.

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why? Wells of Hearts,My FanFic of The Flash’s Harrison Wells.

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why? Prbly My Teen Wolf-Peter Hale one,since it went no where and I don’t plan on finishing it.

7) When is your preferred time to write? Any time I have free lol

8) Where do you take your inspiration from? My Muse att,Movies,Shows,FanVids or other Fics,Music.

9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

In My Most recent Harry Potter one,A Perfect Distraction,Probably the end when Severus shows up and asks to join them. Everyone else likes The Comment Lucius makes in the ballroom about Draco and Harry though ;P

10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind? For A perfect Distraction I had The end clear in my head before anything else,for a change and just thought that added a little humor to the Smut and gave a reason to add Snape in.

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it? Nope.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why? I’m pretty sure Loki will be,So far HR Wells because his Character is so fun and light.

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why? I don’t really have one.

14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can tell about multiple stories. A Perfect Distraction is a Comment made by Lucius to Rihannon in the story so that’s how I came up with the title for the one shot. The Title for The main story is Called The Snakes and The Raven. Pretty self explanatory really.

Mischief on Wings is My soon to be Loki x Amara story and I came up with that name as sort of a tongue in cheek way of describing both characters as Loki is The God of Mischief and Amara is a Valkyrie.

15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names? They just kind of come to me or through a name generator lol

16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx? For The Snakes and The Raven,I had just finished The Movies and developed both a Crush on Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape,I decided to write Fanfiction about them and Rihannon came to mind as a Ravenclaw who was in love with Them both in school,Luci and Snape where Good Friends growing up and both fell for her and they decided to be in a Poly relationship together (in My Fic both Malfoy and Snape are Bi). I made Rihannon there age instead of a Student because I felt the Teacher/Student dynamic had already been over done.

17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on. "Hit on her again." Severus warned Sirius,wand at his throat. "I.Dare.You.

18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them? Teen Wolf- The Alpha. My PTSD and The fact that most of The Peter videos I had watched on youtube had been deleted...

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to? I’m not finished with them yet lol

20) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently? No.

21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire? I’m not sure. I do really like Fangirl Hells writing’s.

22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it? No but I do feel bad that at 13 yrs old writing WWE Fics,I made The Rock abusive :/

23) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence? Music definitely.

24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes? LOVE IT

25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story? No,just while thinking about it.

26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? A Perfect Distraction-The initial Smut scene took so long to write because I was either not in the mood or had no idea how to approach it. Turns out I just needed to make Lucius Romantic :)

27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow? Both.

28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction? How well received it actually is!

29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like? Um yeah My Harry Potter one and Wells of Hearts!

30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at? lol um My Shane Mcmahon one’s as there so Short especially ‘It’s Been Awhile’

32) Are any of your characters based on real people? In The Flash Fic,Michelle Renee is obviously me as she has My name,but since I don’t actually have powers,i’d have to say My WWE Roxy is the closest in terms of personality and style.

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten? Just asking to be tagged in My writing is compliment enough!

34) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten? idr

35) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest? I share My SFW one’s with My Family and My NSFW one’s with The Hubby lol

44) What is the last line you wrote? For My HP One it’s just an outline but-They have late night get togethers in The Library and secret rendezvous in The Room of Requirements and Snape’s Potions Class after hours.

OCtober day 1

I can’t draw worth a shit so instead I’m going to talk about my OCs and force myself to update their stupid profiles and do something creative. And also I’m three days behind WHOOPS. So here is the first one on the list followed by the next two.

This motherfucker is Dai, aka the only villain I have ever actually written and I’m still not 100% comfortable with this. He’s essentially a rework of the villain of an RP I did when I was ~12? Back then his name was Cosmos and he was the most Generic Asshole Villain and he was after a girl named Skylar Angel Smith (or something like that, it was super Mary Sue and I regret nothing. Skylar was later morphed into a guy named Caleb.)

This canon takes a lot of lore and mythology from Christianity, Judaism, and Islam and I think Asmodeus appears in all three of these in various forms and under a slightly different name? IDR, I have a chronic inability to write shit down and then I forget important details. ANYWAY.

So the story goes that Asmodeus aka Dai was the spawn of something-something and either an angel of death or maybe Lilith depending on the origin. He’s been fucked up since day 1 but hey. Then Lucy is like “FUCK YOU, DAD” and Dai tags along in the Great Tantrum of Angelkind and he becomes one of the 7 princes of hell, the prince of lust or some shit. Or maybe this happens later, idk. I don’t have my notes on me fml.

A young, strapping brooding demon kid eventually is forced to partner up with King Solomon. Apparently Beelzebub set this up? Dai doesn’t exactly have a choice in the matter, he’s an angsty snarky teenager at this point and Beelzebub was probably sick of his shit. King Solomon is one of the Kings of Israel, a prophet, and he supposedly built the first temple of Jerusalem. Except this guy is wealthy as fuck, and also has a special fancy ring that gives him power over demons (and djinn), and he enslaves them to build the temple. Dai is the literal manager from hell. Solomon tells everyone what to do and Dai makes sure they do it.

But Dai Defies Authority, and this partnership doesn’t last. According to lore, this exchange literally happens:

Solomon: Hey Dai are you really as all powerful as they say you demons are Dai: idk Sol maybe if you take off your Magical Demon Immunity Ring and give it to me I can show you Solomon: Fantastic idea literally nothing could go wrong Dai: LOL PSYCH

And Dai uses his Almighty Demon Powers to legit blast Solomon a million fucking miles away and then Dai throws the ring into the fucking ocean and it gets eaten by a fish. Yeah. Seriously. Shit’s wild.

But lbr here Dai probably seduced the pants off Solomon and swiped the ring, but the other story just sounds cooler I guess.

So anyway Dai becomes the ruler of Israel or something for like 30 years? Imagine, shitty asshole teenage demon in charge. Meanwhile Solomon goes on a Great Hero’s Journey, eventually gets his ring back (by miraculously eating the same fish that ate it 30 years ago?) returns to Israel and tells Dai to get the fuck lost. So Dai is banished and returns to hell and spends the next several hundred years doing demon shit.

Then along comes this human girl named Sara. For whatever reason, Dai has the Mega Hots for Sara. She’s like the Bella Swan of the bible. He’s fucking OBSESSED with her and won’t leave her alone, and even resorts to murder. Like, she’s engaged, and he’s mad jealous so he murders her fiance. But Sara keeps rejecting his advances and she gets engaged again and then Dai murders THAT guy too. He starts to murder any dude that gets too close and she eventually gets labeled an outcast and no one wants to go near her. Thanks a lot, Dai. Sara’a about ready to give the fuck up.

Meanwhile, this guy named Tobias is travelling around with his archangel bff Raphael. Raphael is like the angel of healing or whatever, they’re going around exorcising people and healing the sick, and they hear about this poor girl named Sara a few towns over. They go there, and have an epic showdown with Dai. Like, “the fuck dude, she told you no, get over it already you fucking creep”. Then they set the gallbladder of a fish on fire and Dai is so terrified that he leaves. (Not really).

Basically, at the end, Raphael “binds Dai and banishes him to Egypt”. Which is to say, Dai gets entombed in a tiny ass cell and gets buried under the sands of Egypt for a long time. Like, a long long time. This shit happens before Jesus Fucking Christ is born, and Dai is stuck inside a tomb under ground all alone in the dark until the 1800s, when the British have their Egyptology fetish and dig his tomb up. (Meanwhile, Tobias and Sara get married and live happily ever after).

When Dai finally gets his ass free, he’s pissed. Mega pissed. And also completely batshit crazy. And he wants revenge. The problem is a lot changes in almost two thousand years, but his goal is to wipe out the entire lineage of Tobias and Sara, murder that assangel Raphael, and cause an apocalypse maybe. Because that’s the biggest Fuck You he can think of and he wants nothing more than Earth to be wiped off the face of existence. After you’re entombed in the earth for 2,000 years you’d probably want to destroy every trace of it too.

So Dai travels the globe, charming the pants off of everyone, fucking a handsome demon or two, and leaving a trail of dead bodies where ever he goes. Raphael doesn’t seem to be responding to this, so he ups the anti and starts murdering the people blessed by Raphael, too. Aka people born with godly healing powers.

That’s where Caleb comes in.

Some 200 years later Dai is in the good ol’ US of A and hears there’s a healer running around, finds him in Minneapolis, and tries to kill him. Unfortunately for him, Caleb is a lucky mother fucker, and Raphael has armed him to the teeth with protection. Kind of. He has a reaper boyfriend and also has reaper body guards and they show up and whisk him away.

So in the midst of ruining lives forever he has to chase this scrawny ass down.

Dai is Not Pleased lemme tell you.
