heyy, just reading your intro post it kinda seems like you might have adhd and/or autism (as someone who has both myself and knows many people who have one or both), if i were you i'd check out some symptoms and find people talking about what it's like to have them to see if you can relate, might help understand a bit about how your brain works, and even if you don't think you have either it might help find ways to deal with life and your brain a little easier cause you clearly have some similar symptoms
funny you say this now, I’m actually going to the doctors on Thursday to check- my friends keep saying I probably have both and my therapist has started agreeing- I’m kinda scared in case I do have one or both, but excited to have something to call it besides “my brain being weird” (plus maybe accommodations?) so wish me luck? Lol

I decided I should make a masterpost because weeeee!!!
Hi everyone!! I go by Ess, Al, or Bee, and I use all pronouns!
I am 18, although I do admit I can be a bit childish
I’m pan and ace, and am taken by my lovely partner!
Most of my filtered tags are ships I don’t like tbh….
So anywaaayyy-
FANDOMS
Hazbin Hotel
Helluva Boss
MLP(specifically G4)
Pokémon
You can probably guess what ships I like based on any art I make- right now I’ve been consumed by the RadioApple brainrot
oh and um- nsfw makes me uncomfortable in certain circumstances- specifically I don’t like looking at drawn porn in general(y’all draw whatever you want I just don’t like it) and there’s a tiny list of characters I’m uncomfortable seeing smut of all kinds of so-(famously Alastor is one, you’ve seen the post, I know you have) so yeah(again- do what y’all want, I just personally don’t like it)
Tone tags!! I use tone tags when I can!! Also I stole my current typing style from a friend
I might be neurodivergent (adhd and/or autism), because if I had a nickel for every time someone who was diagnosed and knew more than I did said i definitely was-
I have a little persona I’ll draw later that represents me
I intend to do more Evangeline posting, if you’ve seen her!
Ummmm yeah, bye bye!

i really really really relate A LOT to the symptoms of adhd and i’m barely functional in day to day life so like i should probably get that looked into, but also i went to THREE different health professionals and they all said they couldn’t confirm or infirm “but i personally don’t think you have it” and every time it sent me down a spiral of convincing myself i can’t trust my own perceptions, which isn’t helped by the fact that those medical opinions were sketchy, because on one hand what if they’re genuinely not qualified to diagnose my particular kind of adhd (bc masking, bc girl adhd, bc bias or mis/outdated info, bc too young, bc whatever) cause tbh i asked someone with a completely different medical speciality, someone who basically asked me if i had good grades in elementary school and then said hmm not sure maybe it’s autism but i don’t think so, and someone who told me “too young to know, do sports, eat more vegetables, we’ll see when you’re 25 maybe” (which. valid advice to improve my life and manage my symptoms to a certain extent, but not what i was asking, and also not helped by the fact he bullshitted something like “you don’t have sensory problems cause you think [two objectively very differently textured foods] have different textures”), but on the other hand, still trying to get a diagnosis when multiple health professionals have said it’s not the case? that’s something you do when you’re delusional. refusing a fourth opinion with a test? that’s something you do when you’re delusional. like, to be fair to me that’s 1) also something you do when you have adhd and are emotionally sensitive, and 2) i have reasons to be scared of the diagnosis process being inaccurate bc adhd is reputably something that not every practioner knows about and sometimes the excact same process can diagnose some expressions of adhd but miss subtler/more innatentive/more masked ones, and also i have no idea what the test is but i know i can do very well during an enclosed test in a way that will not translate to real situations (cf iq test when i was 12, never peaked like that in school) and i’m terrified i might genuinely have adhd problems that affect me in my day to day life but won’t show up because i mean. being in a doctor’s office being subjected to a test on an ipad and asked questions is sensibly not the same as living through your day normally. but also that’s what a delusional person would say to excuse itself.
in conclusion, if i had a nickel for every time i’ve asked a medical professional to assess a possible adhd and the result was no official confirmation or infirmation but an informal “i don’t think you have it” and it sent me spiralling in self-doubt and self-hatred over the uncertainity of how equipped those professionals are to diagnose or reject the possibility of adhd, i’d have three nickels. and if i had a fourth nickel it might just break me.
