Akihito/Sutokuin MBTI Analysis

Akihito is an INFJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging).

Right off the bat, it is obvious that Akihito is not an outgoing person. He trusts two people in the entire universe, and only two people: Yasuchika and Ibuki. Since they have stuck by Akihito's side loyally for the longest period of time, there is a certain degree of mutual trust between the trio. As the leader of a state, Akihito possesses the ability to strategize ahead for the future by anticipating opponents' possible moves and efficiently counteracting them. He does not just sit around perceiving what is happening, he actively takes a stance to support his best interests. Being raised from a young age to be concerned about Hinamoto's welfare, Akihito is skilled in matters of jurisprudence, diplomacy, and negotiation. He is willing to compromise as long as it leads to the achievement of a goal, but not on the major issues. For example, in his route, when deciding to singlehandedly take on the burden of freeing the entire kingdom of its curse by sacrificing solely himself, Akihito planned meticulously ahead, but jumped at the opportunity to further his aims at every chance. One can see the mentality of a man who grew up without much support or opportunity reflected in his self-sufficent mentality. Akihito may appear noble at first glance with an elegant face and graceful almond-shaped eyes, but there lays a backbone of steel beneath the calm facade. Hence, judging over perceiving.

The MBTI personality analysis system is not a wholeheartedly trustworthy one to understand all of the nuances of a unique individual. Nevertheless, it can be a fun pasttime to explore on people in different situations. MBTI is far from being 100% accurate, but is designed only as a hobby. This is one psychological framework that can be applied to human beings, as long as it is meant only in a nonserious context. Is Akihito new? I try to keep up with ikegen but I think I missed his introduction?

If you're asking whether Akihito's route is the new route then--YES!

As for his introduction, like Cybird does for every game, they did the same for Ikemen Genjiden by introducing three new characters and starting the 2nd Chapter 'Forbidden Love'. These three new characters are:

Shuten-doji Ibuki, is based on one of the 'The three great demons of Japan' and he's the strongest one. He lived for 1200 years and loves to corrupt humans and other demons for his own pleasure. He also has a child form, which he uses to go in and out of the Imperial Court.

Some fun facts:

He is the adoptive father of Kurama. But Kurama left him after feeling disgusted seeing his flamboyant lifestyle. He also used to torment Kurama a lot.

His ability is thunder. (One of my favorite elements!)

He has a great obsession for cats (Another cat-lover added to the party)

He's also a great dancer and always dances when Akihito plays his drums.

He lives with Yasuchika and Akihito at Yasuchika's mansion. But he still has another house on the outskirts of Kyoto as his secret base, where he lures his prey.

He's the mood uplifter of the trio.

Sutokuin/Akihito, is based on the world-famous Japanese emperor, Sutokuin-tenno who died resenting Hinamoto after being alleged for many things since birth and also not given the throne by his father, who was blinded by a baseless rumor. Sutokuin/Akihito, also known as the King of Curses, has a very powerful curse residing inside his body since his birth, which could destroy the whole world.

Some fun facts:

He made a deal with Ibuki.

His first-ever friend is Yasuchika, which later turns into much more. But now, everything is awkward between them.

He plays drums to which Ibuki dances and he writes waka poems.

He adopted a little bird temporarily named Ruri.

He is the only character who has a crush on Yoshino in every route, I feel like. (Why else would he show up to see Yoshino's face when she comes to Kyoto?)

Akihito looks at their trio (Yasu- Aki-Ibu) as a family and he feels incomplete even if one of them is absent.

Kitsuji Sueharu, based on Kaneuri Kichiji, a merchant that helped Yoshitsune for seeking refuge with the Ohsu Fujiwara clan. What makes Sueharu special is that, unlike others, he is based on a personality that doesn't exist. There is a record about a person named Kaneuri Kichiji, but whether it's true or not, is up to you. For that you need to ask the real Yoshitsune itself!

Some fun facts:

He was the childhood friend of Morinaga, so they're about the same age.

He's a very successful and shrewd black merchant and is also very rich.

He is also incorporated with the Rebels.

Don't underestimate him! Though he's not a samurai, he's actually a pretty good fighter and also said to be on par with Morinaga.

He is the first male lead who meets Yoshino.

hello ikemen genjiden fans! it is very nice to meet you. i made a new blog for ikemen genjiden and am super excited to be starting one. i am a new fan of ikegen but got into it because of a few notable characters, especially akihito, shigehira, and yoshitsune. i plan to be answering asks on these characters on my blog, so if anyone has a question about ikegen, feel free to ask. unfortunately, i do not know japanese, so i cannot provide any information about routes in advance that other people do not already know. but if you are ever curious about topics such as mbti characterizations, hogwarts house sortings, personality analyses (i am really good at these!), headcanons, or oneshots, feel free to submit an ask on the blog.
