I totally agree it’s unfair that American carats should start demanding for us tour dates but they provide a lot of exposure for kpop and seventeen and open the door for others to discover the joy and i also agree that yes it’s fair that other countries and south east Asia could get your dates but they should focus on safer and wide spread accepted kpop countries because no offence at all to the countries themselves pakistan and India don’t seem great for idols and the fans there are very hardcore and intense for areas that are homophobic and filo fans already get a lot of fanservice and hype for being good crowds despite having the most koreaboos and cringe fans 😞

Okay now that we have visuals..... Let's dive deep because I'm about to write a whole essay (bc im annoying)

ALRIGHT what sets TXT and Mingyu's looks apart are three factors

These factors go hand in hand in some ways.

Mingyu, regardless of the personality Carats know him as (babygirl, soft, clumsy, sweet), is known to the public and those with basic knowledge of SVT or him as this muscle man with gorgeous features. And I've always seen Dior as this nice brand for women but they are horrible with menswear. They either lean very hard into the clean cut silhouette look or feminine male energy.... And it kinda makes it boring.... idk that's just me.

Just like my whole Diesel ramble about Hoshi, and all other FW related rambles, those who are invited to FW are given press approved samples from the previous collection to wear while attending a show for a new collection (now this could actually be from the actual runway or a double). Either way, it's limited to sizing.(and I like to think Mingyu had some say in his outfit.)

Most importantly, because it's limited to sizing and it's a loaned outfit, they wont custom it to his size – sew/alter. At least not too much. They may do a quick stitch fix or pin. Because of that, he has limited choices. I would have loved to see him in the tweed sleeveless top that Yeonjun was wearing but realistically because the material has no give, it most likely didn't fit him because he has wide shoulders and big arms.

FURTHERMORE (lol) TXT has more leeway when it comes to their press outfits with DIOR bc they aren't confined to just one collection or just the runway samples. Meaning custom looks and fits. If they went to FW, pretty sure they would be only in the SS24 looks as well but the looks I showed above are press releases and other event.

Bottom line is....... it's Dior's fault.

Okay this is so so random but I recently came back to the fandom after be bullied out of it (not by carats but by my school mates who found out I was on AfterSchool Club for an episode and treated me like the black plague) and backstory is I am a white passing mixed kid, and my whole life me and my friends who were also mixed would make jokes calling each other ‘whitie’ or ‘cracker’. And when i left the fandom people where still making White Boy vernon jokes. Fast forward, I am getting back into for the first time in years and comment on a tiktok how i will call Vernon “Frat boy” or occasionally “white boy” to my friends to distinguish him from the other members. And the Original poster answered my comment with a video saying “I hate when White Carats-“ and then proceeded to make fun of my name. I obviously got a little upset and just said things like “im not white, im white passing. Its a little bit hypocritical of you defend one mixed person and then in the same breath make fun of another mixed persons name” (the part about that is my name is related to my culture). Any they pretty much said “doesnt matter, my point stands” and i thought that was valid. I did some more reseaech of recent interviews and while I could only find him being upset about racism and colourism in Korea, I know he has stated he feels more korean and I respect that. So i went back to the original post, deleted I comment where I accidentally misgendered OP and apologised, explained how i felt, said that they were right and left it at that. To slightly still talk about the mingyu situation (which I hope its alright!) I found something annoying during all of this that you echoed and some anon's said and it was how QUICK some fans were dismiss OP1 with her experience and feelings, making it seem like mingyu is the one that had it worst. Now by all means, it is upsetting to know that yes this will follow mingyu and the rest of the boys till the end of time. Sadly we cannot change that, all we can do is correct people on the situation so I do kinda feel bad BUT to say mingyu is "completely innocent and not at fault" makes me confused because ??? and yeah i agree, it's frustrating that it seems like a lot of people can't see or understand the nuance of the situation. i think maybe some people are trying to overcompensate for the mistranslations which had such serious accusations, and i think others are just uncomfortable with the idea that celebrities can make mistakes and be forgiven (as in, they think the only way celebs can be "forgiven" is if they were completely innocent in the first place. otherwise they must be cancelled and since they don't want to cancel mg he must be 100% innocent!). but i don't think either of those, or any reason really, justifies the lack of compassion for any of the OPs. it's possible to have conflicts where no party is a villain, actually

i do think the correct response for carats as a whole is to start moving on. the conflict between OP1 and mingyu has been resolved between the two of them, and the other claims were proven false. if OP1 is satisfied, there's no need for carats or non carats to call for mg to be punished further. but on the other side of that, which as you mentioned is more of a problem currently, there's no reason to punish (ie sue) any of the OPs. as i said in my other post, the OPs are still victims even if mg wasn't the perpetrator of the other claims. if even an institution whose primary purpose is to make money (ie pledis) can look at the situation and be like 'hey, it wouldn't be right to try to prosecute these people so we're not going to' then i think that's a sign that to sue these people would be unjust

but also to clarify when I say carats as a whole should move on i mean there's no collective action we can or should take that would be helpful. i don't mean that every individual should force themselves to move on before they're ready. as I've said before and as you've said, i think any carat that needs more time to process and isn't ready to go back to doing normal fan stuff, or those who won't ever be and decide to leave the fandom are totally valid! i second everything you said in that regard, everyone should do what makes them most comfortable ^^
