“What are you talking about,” you said, Dae-ho is cool and all but he isn’t really your type. “Oh come on, us being here is proof that life can be short, and I just assumed you and Dae-ho would became official.”

Official? Like in a relationship? You scoffed going back to your food.

“Yeah umm that’s not gonna happened,” Dae-ho chimes in with you humming in agreement. “But you two work so well together, the brain and the brawn of this whole team and (your name), I can tell you that having a marine husband has its perks..Gi-hun back me up here, tell these two how they act,” Jung-bae slightly nudges Gi-hun, you looked to Gi-hun who was trying to have Jung-bae let it go. “Jung-bae leave these two alone, if they wanted to be a thing it’s on their terms,” You sighed, placing your food down.

You gave Gi-hun a quick thank you. What you didn’t notice is that behind you, Jun-hee was super quiet, side eyeing Dae-ho. She kept her mouth shut, not wanting to let out something that would embarrass her. She was very attracted to you, the way you joked around even in these games. One night, Jun-hee was feeling worried and scared so you hug and cuddled her in bed, that was when she confirmed how she felt about you.

She wanted to know if you feel the same way but seeing how Dae-ho acts with you makes her hesitant. Was she wrong? Were you just very touchy? No that couldn’t be it, you didn’t act that way with Young-Mi or Hyun-ju. Were you messing with her, gaslighting her?

She kept her distance, not wanting to feel hurt, you were very confused, you were try to joke with her or check on her but she would give you a hum and turn away. The third game started, it was the mingle game. You always checked to see if she was close and she was safe. It was the team of 3 round, you and Dae-ho pulled her into a room. Dae-hi quickly shut the door, going to lean on the wall next to you.

“oh shit, that was close, nice thinking (your name),” Dae-ho mumbled, trying to regulate his breathing. You hummed in acknowledgment, your eyes trailing to Jun-Hee. If looks can kill, you and Dae-ho would be bleeding dead on the ground.

“Jun-hee…is everything okay?,” Dae-Ho also looks at her, she scoffed as the alarms go off, she walks to the door opening it. “Are you guys alright,” Dae-ho facing you, you shrugged, biting your lip out of stress. You were a huge over thinker, you went back to everything you did, hoping you haven’t offended her.

He brings you out the room before the next round started, you kept your eyes on Jun-hee as everything went in a circle. The voice yelled out ‘two’, you quickly looked to Jun-hee, but she dragged some dude with her, oh wait, you recognized him ,it was her ex. You felt your heart break, Dae-ho grabbed your head pulling you to a room.

He stood there in silence with you as he shut the down, “She didn’t even look at me, she chose her ex…over me?” Dae-ho placed his hand over your shoulder, slightly rubbing it. You quickly wiped away tears from your face, you restrain yourself, if you make it out alive, you could just cry at home..right.

The game was over, you and Jun-hee were giving each other the silent treatment. The team felt it, they nervously walked,giving each other glances, Gi-hun and Jung-bae were secretly asking Dae-ho about it but all he could do was shrug.

It was an hour until lights out, Dae-ho was trying to cheer you up while you were glaring at Jun-hee’s ex and Jun-hee was glaring at Dae-Ho.

“Jun-hee, how about you and (your name) go to the bathroom before lights out starts,” Gi-hun motions you both, you two reluctantly stand up and headed to the bathrooms.

You were both just there, you kept looking at her, she was trying to avoid you, you were sick of it.

“So what’s the problem,” she looks to you while furrowing her eyebrows, she turns to you. “I don’t know what you mean,” you scoffed, leaning onto the sink and crossed your arms.

“You have been treating me like I ate the last donut, what’s going on? What did I do?” You reached forward, grabbing her hand. She looked down before looking back up to you.

“You keep leading me on, making me feel things, I feel like you know how much I like you and you are making fun of me in a way. I’m human and you keep making a fool out of me,” your jaw almost drops, were you really that oblivious to her feelings?

“Jun-hee…you know I’m like super into you right?” she looks up smiling. “You do?” you nodded, laughing a bit, bringing her closer. “Duh, how could I not, you’re pretty as hell, smart, kind,” you held her face in your hands, dragging your thumb along her cheek.

“Sooo, you don’t like Dae-ho,” you chuckled again,laying your head on her shoulder before looking back up at her. “Dae-ho is a cutie and I definitely would…if I liked men,” her mouth goes agape before laughing with you.

“Well I feel guilty and stupid,” you tucked her hair back, shaking your head. “You aren’t, I didn’t really announce it,” she trails her hands to your waist. “I should still make it up to you for stressing you out and stuff,” she bit her lip and gave you soft doe eyes. You smirked, looking to the door.

“Well being my girlfriend would help,” she smiles, leaning up to kiss you softly, you of course kissed back. You both made out for a good minute before hearing a loud knock. It was the guard alerting you that you were taking too long. You both smile at each other before leaving.

The team notices the smiles you had on your faces.

“Nice to see you two made up, it got awkward quick,” Jung-bae said. You sat down with her and she leans her head on your shoulder, intertwining her hand with yours. “yes and Jung-bae, I ask that you stop trying to make me and Dae-Ho a couple, it’s upsetting my girlfriend,” everyone looked at you two in shock.

Jun-hee smiled and kissed you on the cheek. “Oh wow…did not except that, will do I will leave alone,” Jung-bae says nervous to say anything else.

Dae-ho nudges you, signaling a good job. You smiled, leaning into her more. You don’t know if you gonna survives this but hey at least you are with her.

I also am working on an au based off of Artis pups and when I found you I was like 🫢🫵 Very similar ideas 👀👀👀Also Hunter as Pioneer’s mentor is SUCH A COOL CONCEPT— Like like cause Hunters my favorite scug and the fact that you included him in your au and as Marbles’ mentor is just *squeals* but it also makes a lot of sense considering he comes a little bit after Arti and is one of the few scugs who can encounter pups in their campaign. I also wanted to ask if its okay with you if I use that idea/concept in my own au 👉👈

I was also thinking about Pioneer’s brother— Ik you said that you hc him as being dead, like officially, but I thought it would be interesting if he was still alive. I personally was inspired to let him live in my au simply because of some official art of Gorum (specifically his endings art especially the food quest one where he has a suspiciously familiar green slugpup). I was thinking something like what happened to Surv and Monk (the one-way pipe considering the fact that he kind of began to drift to the right as he sank) happened to him and Gorum found him. Idk these are just ideas Im using for my own au but thought I would share.

while my current headcanon is that the green pup died, i've been thinking very hard about it for the last week or so, and IMO there's a high chance i will retcon that. if the pipe thing is canon to Surv/Monk campaigns then i'm even more eager to adopt that idea. my only real hold-up about the pup was that we clearly see it drown in Arti's dream (the same flashing aura behaviour when you swim underwater), and if he really did drown then the only way to bring him back to life would be through karmic rebirth "last checkpoint save" kind of thing… which feels a bit cheap? a little too simple for me. i'm heavily biased here, because a while ago i read an interesting lore post of someone trying to explain why Arti's pups wouldn't "respawn" if they were killed, while Arti did. in short, the pups were too young to be bound by karma and so when they died, they died for good (reincarnated as a different creature, maybe) - but Artificer being an adult and already having experienced the urges before, was brought back. if i can, i will try to find that post again, and link it here.

ANYWAY yeah, personal AUs don't have to strictly comform to the game's canon, i keep forgetting about that. hell, i've seen people revive scav king or, i dunno, SOS from the dead, and they made it work.

speaking of my AU again, i may also have headcanon'd Arti's mate as a semi-aquatic scug (less freaky than riv tho), and so Bryn/green pup would have inherited some of those genes, making him more likely to survive the drowning. so yeah, i think i like the storytelling potential of keeping the pup alive, althought i'd have to sit down and do a proper brainstorming on what that means… when Arti and Marbles eventually reunite with their long lost other half of the family.

by the way, if you (or anyone else reading this post) wants to use my ideas in their own AU then i'm okay with that! no need to credit or anything. many people come up with similar concepts anyway, it'd be silly to try and police them on it.

i'm kinda sad they got rid of the "shadow's purpose was to help cure maria's terminal illness" plot line. i don't think there's any implication she's chronically ill, even if not terminal? like i LOVE when ppl hc shadow as her emotional support alien or something to help with her illness, going that route more explicitly would've been awesome. like he still has the pain from losing his sister, but a major part of his trauma is the feeling that his only purpose never got fulfilled—Maria was terminally ill but died of completely preventable causes.

LIKE the super scene hits because it has the same / similar hit to why SA2 was so impactful! i have a sp/in in sonic so im not immune to "THATS THE THING I KNOW" pointing at the screen with a big smile BUT direct references should be done for story impact rather than "that's the line" like the thing above; Shadow helping to save earth after coming to terms with trauma and such, fighting alongside Sonic after so long of Shadow feeling alone, striking a cool ass pose with him with some lighthearted bickering—THATS IMPACTFUL!! it's not just "THATS THE THING I KNOW THEY DID THE POSE" it's showing shadow's growth :) that goes for the use of live and learn, too! live and learn, you may never find your way 💖

ALSO the next movie is gonna be based on sonic CD it looks like !! im genuinely rlly excited to figure out how they work with that, considering all the future & past time warps being a major part of the game? i think it'd be a good idea to bring sonic '06 into the mix either the next movie or the movie after that, silver coming in during the whole time shenanigans would make sense!! maybe a good time to reveal shadows been alive and formed team dark in his own time bc i doubt they'd make a whole movie or miniseries for that? unless the next movie is gonna b based on sonic CD and sonic heroes...but amy should get her spotlight for a bit

i HATE mary shelley's frankenstein (the movie)

(Very long rant under the cut)

First off im gonna be clear im absolutely NOT talking about the novel frankenstein written by mary shelley. This book is my favorite story ever and i could rant for hours about how much i love it. Im specifically talking about the movie titled "mary shelley's frankenstein". If you ask literally any frankenstein fan they will tell you that most movie/show adaptations are relatively inaccurate. Thats why when i found out that "mary shelley's frankenstein" was considered to be the most faithful and book accurate adaptation, i was super excited to watch it. I was incredibly wrong.

At first, i didnt really know how to feel. The movie was fairly entertaining, i liked how they expanded on a few characters and made a few story changes, but thats about it. What makes me dislike this movie SO MUCH is the fact that it feels like instead of actually reading and analyzing the book, the creators just read the sparknotes of frankenstein and tweaked the story a bit. It removed some details/plot points that seem insignificant at first glance, but any further analysis will show those "small details" were super important story-wise. It lacked so much of the depth that i was hoping for.

One thing i noticed from the very start was the portrayal of victor and his family. I will say that i dont really mind how william and elizabeth were written. I tgink my main gripe would be that they feel so flat and one dimensional (especially elizabeth), but i kind of understand since they arent really given much depth in the original story either. i thought it was cool that they made justine have a little bit more depth and they showed her close relationship with william, i thought that was cute. I think they couldve done that better without having her have a one sided crush on victor though. It just felt like a lazy attempt to make her seem more interesting.

What i HATED was how victor was portrayed. No hate to the actor, but he is NOT victor at all. Some of my gripes are personal things (blond hair, beard, etc) but others just straight dont make any sense. Like... he just seems so much more outgoing and friendly than og victor. It wasnt the vibe he had in the book and was a very.... interesting creative choice. And WHY in the world did he have ABS. Victor spent 2 whole years making his creature and its obvious he barely takes care of himself in this time. Even if he was well built beforehand (even then. does he really seem like the type to work out) i really dont think he'd still be in shape after the trauma his body goes through during the creation process. The narrative also lowkey felt very... apologetic towards victor. A lot of scenes that highlight victors selfishness and flaws are cut from the movie, which made me really upset because it takes so much away from victors character. Victor's complexity and moral gray-ness is what makes his character so interesting and appealing to me, so this victor portrayal just overall felt very flat and bland.

One of the two things that really frustrated me was the lack of justine's trial. The trial is SO incredibly important because it is the first scene where victor truly has to face the consequences of his actions, yet he lets another person take the fall. However, in the movie, william is killed and justine is found next to his body. The town immediately carries her with pitchforks to the town center (?) with victor and elizabeth chasing after them yelling to stop. Justine is immediately hung without any questions or anything. This change is so terribly detrimental to the plot, i was shocked they changed it. The fact that the trial in the og novel spanned several days gave us time to see elizabeth spiraling into depression, justine eventually accepting her death, and most of all, the guilt eating victor alive. We see him contemplating saving justine, but in order to save himself, victor stays silent the entire time. This conflict highlights victor's selfishness and his tendency to run away from his consequences. Victors guilt does not purify him.

The other thing that infuriated me was henry clerval's lack of importance. Basically all he does in the movie is lighten the mood at certain parts. This is such a superficial way of portraying his character, and i was super disappointed as someone whose favorite character is clerval. In the movie, Frankenstein and clerval meet in college, both studying science/medicine. This immediately gave me a bad feeling, since the whole point of victor and henry is that theyre opposites, but love each other nonetheless. Victor is into science and sees everything very matter-of-factly, while henry is into poetry and sees the beauty in life. The two balance each other out and their opposite traits give them great chemistry. Them being childhood friends is also super important, which is taken away in this movie adaptation.

I wont go into depth because if i do ill ramble for hours, but clerval is so incredibly important to the story, especially victors character. He represents victors happy and relatively carefree life before his obsession with reanimation, and provides comfort when victor is at his lowest. One of the most important clerval scenes is actually his death. Victor is left absolutely devastated by the death of his best friend, to the point where hes pushed to thw brink of insanity. Why? Because the death of clerval symbolizes the death of his old self. The consequences of his neglect and selfishness have ruined his life so much, to the point where he can never be happy like he used to be. Clerval, the man he describes as the most pure being, the (literal) light of his life, is gone forever because of his actions. As you can tell, this effect is not achieved when victor and henry only know each other for their short college careers, and it's definitely not achieved when clerval doesnt die. It feels like they only added henry just to say they had a character that is typically forgotten by adaptations in their movie (btw if you really wanted this achievement then add ernest frankenstein into your movie cowards). If thats your motive, then id rather you a stereotypical mad scientist frankenstein movie instead.

If you like this movie, absolutely no hate to you at all. I can def understand why and i really liked some parts of the movie. The reason why i hate it is mainly because it is advertised as a book accurate, faithful adaptation, when many crucial parts of the book are discarded

WIP Wednesday

I was tagged by @im-overstimulated-and-im-sad. This is a preview of the first chapter of my upcoming 911: Lone Star fan-fiction.

Working Title:"little boy don't you cry the child in you is still alive, daddy can you die from a broken heart."

It is beautiful autumn day in the city of New York, and the 2010 homecoming week for the Manhattan school districts.

The fourteen-year-old and ninth grader Tyler Kennedy Strand who goes by Tk is riding high.

The beginning of high school has started out great for him. He joined the school marching band playing the drums. His mom and stepdad have been taking him to the ice-skating ring to prepare for hockey try outs the are happening in a few weeks. Tk wants to join the baseball team in the spring too, so his dad has been taking him to the batting cage and park so they can practice and spend time together with him. He is still super good friends with Tommy and Mikaela from the middle school, but it is no longer play-dates. They aren’t little kids anymore.  

They hang out now and went to see Twilight in movie theatre last weekend and then played video games.

His divorced parents, Gwyneth Morgan and Owen Strand have been civil with each other for the most part and have even started allowing him to take the subway without an adult and got him his first cellphone. It is a blue and black flip phone with a little tiger charm. It is nothing fancy, he can call and text.

His parents have set rules to allow him more independence as he is growing up and becoming a young man. It annoys him sometime because it feels likes he is being babied compared to his peers. He understands he really does and does not really blame them; he knows where they get it from but the does not make him feel any better. His mother being lawyer knows how messed up the world is and tries to help those struck by unfairness of it. His father sees tragedy every day and there are some days where he can’t save anyone.

They want to protect him, they know how he is, he knows how he is. Tk was and is still sometimes a clingy shy sensitive child, he is friendly and outgoing once you get to know him but bringing him out of his shell is hard work. He is embarrassed by it and tries hard to not to be so needy and dependent on his parents or teachers, everyone needs support, and everyone has their own issues. So, what if he is not best at reading social cues or needs to take some special classes or it takes a little longer for him to reach certain milestones or needs more support and structure than other kids his age. But no matter how many times he is told how much he is loved he still feels like a burden and like maybe he is being lied to. He won’t ask for help, if you want to Tk to tell you what is wrong you must force it out of him.

If Tk wants to take the subway by himself he just needs to have his cellphone with him, updates his parent and is home before dark or tell them where he is. Which is better than nothing, given how overprotective his parents are Tk thought it would be a long time before he could ride the subway by himself.

He got even got his first boyfriend Alex and has had his first kiss. Tk is planning to ask him to the homecoming carnival, today. Alex is seventeen and Tk looks at him the stars looking at the sun. He is so cool. He rides his motorcycle and skateboard to school. He brings Tk along for the rides sometime with him gripping tightly on his waist.

Alex is an artist, painting and drawing in oil and watercolor. Tk could watch him paint for hours and did, his friends covered for him. He models for Alex, Alex asks if Tk could model for his paintings. He calls Tk beautiful. He tells him Tk you’re so beautiful. You are like a priceless piece of art, my beautiful handsome smoking hot boyfriend. The words paint blushes across the younger boy’s face, his cheeks glowing rosy pink and red. Nobody had ever spoken about like that to Tk before.

Tk starts sneaking at night by climbing out his bedroom windows and down the fire escape. Alex would be sitting on his motorcycle waiting for Tk to climb down the ladder and then they would drive off. Alex took him on his first date. He went to his first high school party. Tk really likes Alex, he is love with him.

“Tk, Tk it is time to wake up and get dress.” Owen says gentling shaking his shoulder.

4 - If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

i got an an ask about this ages ago and spent a really long time thinking about it but i really think missy is too wrapped up in Doctor Who Specifically to really work in any other story? like i watched agatha all along the other day and agatha is Very Missy but even if i dropped missy into that situation i just feel like it wouldn't be her? anymore? but with that being said i think she would be a good character for a vaugely space opera-ey book where we spend most of the book inside her head, with her thoughts, not a lot of dialouge. it might take away a bit from her general fabulousness & over the topness but i think she would be a good character for one of those 'last person alive in xyz isolated space station' things. although possibly that is just my desire to pick apart her psyche.

that being said i think she would also thrive doing This Is How You Lose The Time War with twelve although that is possibly very similar to the dw time war anyways....

8 - What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

it's not nessecarily The Fandom b/c i havent seen much of it in the fan creations i look at but a lot of people, eu authors included, seem to really lean in to her being Secretly A Good And Nice Person which she?? isnt really?? like obv s10 & 'let me try to be good' is a very important part of her arc but most of her regen & existence before that isn't under that. she does kill people. for funsies. like there's an audio story i forget which one where she's pretending to be a nanny to some kids & i know they were doing it for mary poppins paralells but they were leaning wayyyy to far into the 'she's only pretending to be mean & secretly loves them' angle which sort of annoys me idk why. it just feels so reductive

24 - What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

i wouldnt say im anywhere near in the fandom but as i mentioned before i watched agatha all along & it was literally died 2017 born 2024 welcome back missy doctor who. the similiarites. Were There. which im fairly sure was intentional like theres no way thats a coincidence but it was a wee bit jarring for the first couple episodes.

25 - What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

my first impression, from the little bits at the end of episodes through s8 was sort of just a 'i'm sure this will all be super important later idk why she called the doctor her boyfriend though' but when she kissed him in dark water i was mostly just thinking GOOD FOR HER lol. the master reveal did go crazy though i was clapping & cheering for that hehe i'd only worked it out like ten seconds before she actually says it lol

like i definitely knew i liked her & thought she was really cool but while i was watching her seasons i was still stuck on the tenth doctor so it kinda took me a while & some episode rewatches to get fully attached to her & now ive been thinking about her for six months lol

How will the reunion between Akari and Juliana go? Or Carmine?

So this is like, two years post Indigo Disk at this point. Carmine is about 19 here, and Juliana/Florian as being 17 and Kieran as 16 here.

Carmine travels for her job, she works with researchers as a sort if body guard against wild pokemon in dangerous areas they're studying. Pretty much what she did with Briar as a student. So she is out of the region when Akari gets reverse eebied back. They're staying with Drayden in Opelucid City, since Ingo is staying there too (and Emmet he's not going anywhere). After Carmine finally finds out what's up from Drayton she demands to facetime immediately to see Kieran.

Akari vaguely remembers her, their memories are sort of coming back. They just feel kind of seperared from them. Staring at the face of god kind of scrambles your brain.

So they initially reunite over facetime but it's not exactly a coherant conversation on Carmine's end. She's too busy bawling so Drayton winds up having to have a private conversation with her about the situation. After that she drops everything calls her grandparents to tell them whats up and then THAT'S it's own situation becauase poor grandma thought she was having a stroke when they heard the news.

When she gets back to Unova and finally sees Kieran in person she's bawling again and appologizing to them like Drayton did so Akari is finally like why does everyone keep apologizing to me? I dont get it. So then she's even more upset lol. But Akari really matured in Hisui and does kind of remember a big sister so there super happy someone they're related to actually wants them. (Akari went through a phase where their memories of indigo disk era had them thinking they were a terrible person and everyone back home was better off without them)

She also has a few of Kieran's pokemon on her like Furret and Hydrapple and they are very emotional seeing Kieran again. It takes her a few days because she's so overwhelmed but she eventually reaches out to Briar and the Protagonist to let them know Kieran's alive.

Im just gonna use Juliana in this to make it easier, but Juliana is shook. Like she's moved on with her life, mourned Kieran, still has nightmares about the incident. Kieran is the ghost that haunts her. So she's beside herself too and Carmine gives her time. She tells her friends who like, all vaguely know Kieran through osmosis since the whole thing kind of broke her, and they help her work through what she's feeling. Same with her mom, her mom keeps a picture of Kieran in their house even though she never knew them. But like the fact that this kid died and her own kid almost did too is pretty devastating to think about.

So Juliana facetimes Carmine and Carmine shows her Kieran (they don't talk yet, the whole situation is a lot for these two) and she starts crying too lol. She's like "do you think he'd want to talk to me?" And carmine is like "well, they've changed a lot but its more like. Theyre back to their old self just, more sure seeming? Also i honestly dont know if they remember you"

So its a whole shitshow essentially. Just a bunch of people navigating a difficult situation. Akari is kind of facinated by Juliana like "wowzers i was friends with someone so cool? I cant believe i was so mean to her i should appologize" and theyre like kieran i think sort of dying kind of negates that you're fine.

Then comes the big bomb that Akari has a SMART PHONE. That is the biggest change of all. Cannot believe you went to the past and came back with knowledge of memes.

Eventually the two talk and they're like pen pals for a while (through texting) while Kieran is healing and doing rehab for some injuries in Opelucid. Carmine is staying in an air bnb there to help out. Eventually Juliana gets the courage to come visit and when they meet she's half crying in joy half having a bi panic because Akari is very pretty.

• Miles dreamt about alot of things that night. His parents, you, and most importantly, what he had to do. It was weird though. He didn't see his success, but he didn't see a loss either. He was just...foreshadowing..? It was weird but it felt familiar...

• Has he done this before...?

• "Miles."

• ...Someone was shaking his shoulder. Miles, of course, pushed the hand of whoever was touching him, but they persisted. That put a frown on his face. What the h?

• "Go away."

• He grumbled. The person sighed. (Kinda like the "I'm gonna lose my patience" sigh)

• "We have to save Jeff."

• That caught his attention. He sprang up.

• "How do you know about my da-!?"

• He froze. In front of him was his undead uncle. Miles was perplexed. Until, he remembered the previous night. He's in his spider's dimension, uncle Aaron is super alive and this dimensions Miles is tipping on the scale of jerk and you've changed slightly...Crap. Realizing he just shouted at his dad's brother, he sinks back into the blanket.

• "I'm sorry."

• The young hero mumbled. Uncle Aaron chuckled in his throat. It's rare when he sees his nephew being polite. Let alone timid. But, there's still stuff to do. He can ponder the differences later.

• "It's cool, come on."

• "We got work to do."

• That caught the anomaly's attention. He let the blanket fall back on his lap.

• "Work to do?"

• Wait, wasn't the plan gonna be relayed when everyone was present? Matter of fact, it's still dark out. ...What time is it!?

• "You'll see when we get there."

• His uncle replied, while tossing him a jacket.

• "We leave in fifteen."

• Miles sat quietly in the car while the ex Prowler grabbed some things from his apartment. Once again, this felt crazy. His uncle Aaron had a purple convertible, this one has a truck.

• (Which is still purple...seriously how did he NEVER know his uncle was the prowler? They're so many signs.)

• He's also...jaded. He's not mean or anything. Just quiet and pretty short with answers...but, that's okay. Miles can tell from all his greys that life's been tough...probably a lot tougher than his life. The driver door opened, making the him jump.

• Of course, it was just uncle Aaron. He hopped in the driver's seat.

• "Ready?"

• Still frazzled, Miles nodded.

• The drive was...quiet. Well, sorta. There was music on, but zero talking. Oddly though, it was nostalgic. Reminded him those drives when his Uncle and his dad fought before Miles stayed over. (He never caught the arguments, but he always knew something was up.) Silent with the calm sound of wheels grinding against the pavement. BUT, this silence is getting pretty heavy. He's starting to feel like he's breathing too loud.

• Miles cleared his throat.

• "So, um..."

• His uncle looked over, his gaze making Miles feel super small.

• (Is this how uncle Aaron was with other people!?)

• "What's up with the prowler thing? With...Miles and all that jazz?"

• The truck was filled with heavy silence again.

• "Ask a different question."

• Uncle Aaron replied, flatly. 1610 Miles swallowed hard. Okay...that was a touchy subject.

• "Sooo, the truck,"

• "It's purple and black. Where'd...you get it painted?"

• The uncle chuckled. So, the boy chooses the car instead? Must've stood out to 'im.

• "A friend of mine did it."

• "I had to pay her still but it was half off so..."

• Miles nodded. That's...kinda interesting. More questions could be asked but...nah. His heart resides on paper, not wheels.

• "You draw?"

• The teen twitched at the question.

• "Huh?"

• "Do you like to draw? Like my Miles."

• Uncle Aaron asked again, this time using a fuller sentence. Miles couldn't stop the smile forming on his face. Finally, a subject he can get behind!

• "Yeah, alot."

• He replied.

• "I use highlighters and pens normally, but recently I've been trying to go digi-tal."

• Miles snickered. (He's kinda lying about the digital thing, Ganke only let's him use his tablet twice a week.)

• His (kinda) uncle listened quietly as his (kinda) nephew ramble on about his hobby. It's lowkey adorable. His Miles does the same thing. Except, his nephew is strictly pencils and black pens. Like one of those...manga artists? Slowly, the truck came to a stop. Miles looked through the window.

• This looks like...

• "Alchemex?"

• He said outloud.

• "You got it."

• Uncle Aaron replied getting out of the car. The Spiderman couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. Alchemex...has alot of memories he rather forget about. Suddenly, another glitch hit. The burning and atom decaying lasted only a few minutes, but it felt like a hour. He took a deep breath and climbed out of the truck. Uncle Aaron was waiting at the entrance, analyzing him as usual.

• "Sorry, I, um...hit the roof."

• Miles nervously snickered. Yeah right. He hasn't felt any roofs or balls since he got this hairstyle. And he's been rocking it since he was 10. His hair absorbs ALL impacts. His kinda uncle didn't reply and pushed open the doors. The teen immediately pulled out a flashlight. The sun is coming up, but it's not showing in Alchemex!

• "Don't fall behind."

• "Okay."

• The two of them slowly ventured through the building. It looked abandoned and destroyed. Like, some beast escaped in here. Wait- There wasn't a Peppy playtime incident here, was it!?

• (Get the reference?)

• But, now that he looks at all the spray paint...it's just abandoned. And the destruction...is still unknown, but he's sure as hell it wasn't a fuzzy, blue monster with red lips.

• "So...Alchemex. Why?"

• Pfft! Why'd he ask the question like that? His past uncle remained silent until they got into what looks like the collider room.

• (Seriously, who destroyed the place?)

• "Back when I still prowled,"

• His uncle (randomly) said.

• "I picked up a little on how this thing works."

• "Maybe the collider can send you back."

• Miles gasped. That was a perfect idea! The collider can bring and return people to different dimensions! Why didn't he think about this earlier!? But...what's his dimension?

• "This could work, but,"

• He looked at all the broken computers and desks.

• "How would we get any data to the collider?"

• For the first time, Uncle Aaron smiled at him.

• "I'll leave that to you two."

• 'You two'. Who's the other person?

• "Anyway, we came here to get the layer of the land."

• The ex prowler said, back to business.

• "What tools we need. If the colliders still working. And how to send you home in one piece."

• Miles snickered.

• "I know we need some new computers."

• Uncle Aaron shook his head and put his foot on the rail.

• "Don't all the kids have computers these days?"

• He wasn't wrong there. Ganke has dang near three. His uncle's eyes were on him again.

• "You got your little suit on, right?"

• Miles nodded. After everything that happened, he wouldn't feel safe without it!

• "Good,"

• He tied a black rope around his leg and shot a gun attached to it.

• And he jumped off, swinging around the white room. It's...actually pretty cool to see his uncle in action, when he's not trying to claw his throat out. And even though this isn't his universe or his true uncle. Swinging around with him is a dream come true.

Hii um, really sorry about bugging you but I was scrolling through tags and I saw that you drew lovely Nathan and Leslie work a while back; I'm wirting a huge personal AU and one of the subplots is her breaking Nathan out of camp so they can do a world domination thing lol

I've never seen any headcanons of them ever so it's super hard to wirte (even if it is just for myself, but I love over analyzing both of them) so I was wondering if you had any cools ones that you're comfortable with sharing?? I'm really really sorry if this is random, from a random user but I'm just so content starved and your art on here is so comforting and I love the scene one so so much!!!!

wow i really appreciate that! i have a few, nothing too exciting. im not sure if you meant for them interacting or independent headcanons but ill say what i remember. it might be a longer response than you asked for LOL

for more technical ones:

i headcanon that nathan knows at least a little about how leslie works as a robot so if she gets hurt he can help fix her (but hes no robotics engineer so he cant do much about major damage). i also think that she can continue to mimic voices (like when she pretended to be president). she can use this to help herself or nathan (usually blackmail) but she also uses it to taunt nathan (for example, mimicking jimmy to piss nathan off). i also think leslie can change her body temperature from colder than a human to scalding hot (sometimes not on purpose, if she isnt working properly she might overheat which could damage her). i always imagined that there was some sort of underground facility (i wanna draw this but lazy) where she went to recharge, but thats one of my more fantastical headcanons. i personally think she didnt have parents or a house to live in (only a facility) but thats just me. i imagined that after leslie died, nathan recuperated and went to the crime scene or wherever her body was held and either: a. she showed signs of being functional, so he broke her out. or b. assumed she was completely dead/a lost cause and left her there (and she was still alive but wasnt capable of showing signs). both are fun ideas . i imagine that nathan diverted a great deal of his savings from drug-dealing to help repair leslie if he had saved her.

as for their relationship, in my headcanon:

neither of them will admit that they care about one another, even though they do. leslie doesnt admit it because she thinks that being emotional could compromise her rational thinking. nathan does not admit it because i dont think hes ever admitted any true feelings of appreciation or friendship for anyone lol. he would not do anything that might make him emotionally vulnerable (not that hes really conscious of this).

they both taunt eachother and can be meaner than they intended to. they both have a habit of lying to others in canon, so i imagine they still do that.

from a rational standpoint, leslie considers nathan an important asset and his ability to keep quiet about important (and unethical) things makes him valuable for secret operations. from a not-so-rational standpoint, she appreciated his different approach to life and the fact that he is not phased by leslies bizarre nature (the way she acts when she drops her act of being some innocent kid). she has grown fond of him in a way that i believe resembles an unspoken friendship.

nathan first considered leslie as another person to harass, but after being "employed" by leslie, he began to actually appreciate her, and its probably the first time a girl did not instantly hate or pity him. he probably has some sort of crush, but maybe not because leslie is crazy. he also thinks leslie is scary (but so do most people who have dealt with her "mask-off"). i think nathan likes leslie more than leslie likes nathan, but nathan is the first person she goes to if she has a problem, so they are dependent on each other at least a little.

yippeeeee okay id better explain what exactly im trying to write here lmao so like. this whole au was originally just an experiment in mapping the spider-person story onto a morbius variant as a joke bc i liked the idea of him being like "i was straight up bitten by a radioactive animal and started doing vigilante crime fighting can you please let me into the multiverse" and miguel going "NO youre literally a villain How did you get this number" but then it kinda spiralled and now theres like themes n shit

so long story short morgan michaels gets bitten by a radioactive vampire bat on a uni trip and wakes up with some weird mutations but doesnt really take much notice, he just goes about his day as normally as he can until he Fucking exsanguinates someone to Death. and takes it Badly. so then while hes trying to cope with that and adjust to the whole "vampire(?) thing" like. finding a non-homicidal way to get blood. he encounters spider-man and goes Hey! You know what would make me feel less shit about that whole murder thing? Doing that!

so he pisses off to try become a superhero and accidentally gets stuck with the name morbius, fucks around w/ doc ock and almost finds out until spidey saves his ass and morbius goes Hey. Im bad at this. Youre good at this. Can i be your sidekick until i figure out what the fuck im doing? and peter goes Hhhhhmmmmm bc He knows morbius is a villain. hes wearing one of them watches hes all caught up on how his canon works. but maybe this one is different..maybe he can fix him.....as in hes literally floating there in front of him asking to be fixed. so he says Yeah okay ill make sure you dont get yourself killed probably

so theyre doing the whole superhero mentor thing for a while, morgan learns and grows amd theres some cool contrasting moments where he handles shit completely differently than spider-man would and changes the trajectory of some established arcs, until eventually hes off doing basic superhero stuff all on his own and goes Hey that guy doesnt have a pulse. Thats kinda weird. so he tracks the guy to this weird secret rave in a factory basement with all these other dead people and at one point they turn on the sprinkler and its full of human blood? which hes so normal about ofc (<- the lying liar) and then this COOL GUY with a COOL JACKET and a COOL SWORD shows up and starts annihilating everyone and morbius goes Whoa cool! and then this guy tries to kill Him and he goes HEY WAIT IM LITERALLY ALIVE and blade goes Thats fucking weird cause youre definitely a vampire so whats your deal. Come with me so i can figure out what your deal is. so then morbius meets blades cool hematologist friend and cool butch biker mom and finds out abt Actual vampires which, it turns out, he definitely isnt hes something else which just seems similar bc [INSERT COMIC-TYPICAL MUTATION BULLSHIT]

they both get tied up in plot stuff and even though it takes a loooong moment for blade to trust him theyre actually a pretty good team, morbius is used to spider-man treating him like a student and, implicitly, a child so its neat that blade treats him like an Equal (albeit an annoying inexperienced equal w/ bad jokes and a worse costume but still) and turns out they actually have a lot in common? and kinda bond really easily? and maybe this whole "edgy-hero-who-kills-things" deal is working wayyyy better for him than the spandexed paragon thing spider-man has going on and that guy is super out of his depth in these circumstances and needs to stop pushing in assuming he knows best just bc hes a """hero""" and actually hes maybe being a total uptight prick about the no murder thing and who died and made him king of new york anyway?? fuck off spider-man i have a cool new friend who Gets Me and will absolutely definitely never judge me for killing someone or succumbing to bloodlust which is definitely totally 100% true and Not a fundamental misinterpretation that will come back to bite me in the ass.

I can’t even begin to put into words or # the amount of yrs I suffered & connections I lost because of what was destroyed because of that.

It’s taken A LOT of healing… A LOT of shadow work, A LOT of therapy; lol. THAT work is why I have such a positive foundation for my play today.

But quite literally the most beautiful thing about all of this, gets destroyed..because u didn’t build ur ideas based off of actual human experience.. it was fantasies projected for you; onto u, scripts that wwre acted out infront of you to sell content, to sell an image..

but they dont make that differentiation; its just portrayed as 'how it is', all at a time when ur brain is STARVING for 1) information 2) connection .. a time in youe life when ur body is regulating its hormones & brain chemistry to create 'the adult its trying to become'

we really go thru 2 puberty's as humans; one in our teens & the other in our early 20's before our brain fully develops at 25.

(theres actually been recent studies that suggest neurodivergent brains don't finish fully developing until they're 30s ; something that would absolutely explain a lot in my personal case... & yet are seen/treated legally as ADULTS at 18..

Says a lot they don’t want u to drink till your 21; but you can sign your life away to the military at 18…👀

No one ‘magically’ turns into an adult at 18… life is SO much more complex than that. But it’s quite literally the bare minimum in giving urself a chance at a healthy happy relationship w bdsm or rope. (& if ur anything like me… you’ll probably still absolutely fk up then 😂; BUT you will be BETTER EQUIPPED to protect urself.

Save urself the trauma, the time… start exploring these themes-content when ur OF AGE!!!
