so ginatan or ginataan comes from the word gata which is like coconut milk like like the creamy version cos coconut milk has like a juice version but that's just juice the coconut milk is from like squeezed coconut flesh hehe lol. ok so ginataan means like 'a dish with gata/you put gata'

and theres like a savory version of ginataan

idk in the internet it has a g as in ginataang which i guess makes sense cos if you said, ginataang hipon, that means shrimp (hipon) with coconut milk (ginataang lol)

The protective dome around Raven was totally useless and, like her friends, she knew it.

She was there, standing in the middle of the contraption built by Cyborg, with all her vital signs being recorded on the computers that occupied a large part of the room, beeping together with the devices that showed her brain waves.

Everything had been perfectly assembled and positioned so that she had the best protection that anyone could have in the face of what was about to happen, but all those technological tools made her feel like a laboratory rat, studied in vain to discover that in the end the experience had gone wrong again.

She sighed loudly and propped her elbows on her knees, resting her face in one hand; she no longer cared about floating.

She felt physically and mentally drained to use her powers in something as unnecessary as floating, and she didn't need to be inches from the ground at that moment.

In fact, it was better to have contact with the earth, with the concrete floor. At least she would be sure that she was still alive, that the world was fine and whole.

Raven let out a loud snort and huffed impatiently, her eyes roaming the room until they found the door, waiting, miraculously, for one of the other Titans to enter. She had been inside that dome for hours and she couldn't take it anymore - loneliness was good when chosen willingly, not out of obligation.

When the dome barriers disappeared, Raven adjusted the hood on her head, thinking about the possibilities that surrounded her. Beast Boy was right, after all. Trigon was already on Earth, like the first time, and she would not be of much help if she were trapped, safe and sound, while her friends killed themselves to save the world.

“I knew you'd be up for it!" He celebrated, approaching her.

He shook his head negatively and approached her, holding her arm firmly and preventing her from getting away. The difference in height between them remained almost nil, with Raven looking a little taller from a distance because of the hood.

She frowned and looked at him without understanding, trying to pull her arm out of his grip, uncomfortable with the position they were in.

“It's just…”, Beast Boy started to speak. “I shouldn't be here and I know it. You are always so focused and correct that you even embarrass me for acting that way, but, last time, you had the coin I gave you and we won.

“I don’t know where it is.”, Raven lied, lowering her head to hide the blush on her cheeks. Some of her emotions were manifested in Nevermore, reminding her of the small passion she held for him. Passion, that, that she was sure that she would never be reciprocated. He was not a philanderer, he had never dated anyone after Terra, but he was not unaware of love affairs like her. She had a little more experience, even though she was also small. “We can't keep others waiting.”

“I can't let you go without an amulet.”

“There is no such thing as luck, Beast Boy! How many times have I told you that we need to run after what we want?”

“Many.”

“And none of them fixed on your brain?”

“Apparently no.”

“I should have imagined.”

“Why can't you give me a credit?”

“You are acting like a child who believes in Santa Claus.”

“And you're being cruel to me.”, he complained. “I thought you stopped that a while ago.”

“I stopped. Are we going to battle or not?”, Raven asked impatiently. “The world is about to end!”

“Then let me go!”

“I can't let you leave here without an amulet!”

Raven's words echoed around the room, and Beast Boy smirked, as if he had been waiting for this ever since they started arguing.

Such nonsense fights and quick discussions were not new to them, who were used to being awkward a few times a day, always for stupid reasons. However, that time, the shapeshifter had a purpose and, knowing that Raven would play the game, he put his idea into practice, which ended up working very well, thank you.

Raven shook her head and shrugged, silently asking if he wouldn't give her anything. She was waiting for a frog charm or other coin, but all she received was a warm kiss on the mouth, which made her blow up the nearest computer monitor.

The touch of Beast Boy's lips on his made her close her eyes instantly, her body and mind embracing the fact that she wanted that kiss - she had even been waiting for him for a long time, having fantasized the moment several times in the stillness of his. room.

On the other hand, Beast Boy didn't explode at all, but he felt his whole body vibrating. Her cheeks were as flushed as Raven’s, and it had taken him a long time to have the courage to kiss her.

The kiss could not be considered "worthy of a movie" because the two were too tense to give themselves up completely. They did not know where to put their hands and neither should they do it; A light in their heads blinked incessantly, reminding them that the world was ending while they were kissing, and billions of people were at risk.

It could be considered an ordinary kiss, but for Raven and Beast Boy, it meant much more than that.

They separate after a few seconds, unable to exchange a direct look. Beast Boy cleared his throat and Raven clung more tightly to her cloak, almost disappearing inside it.

“Raven”, Beast Boy smiled, making her look him in the eye quickly. Without breaking eye contact, he simply stuck a five-cent coin in her hand. Like old times. “Good luck.”

All good old fashioned fairy tales begin with narration, And this is no exception.

A long time ago, in a land far from here, sat a kingdom. Prosperous, clean and pleasant. And in this kingdom was a king and queen who unpon a winter morn, blessed there kingdom with a baby girl, a princess. However the day after she was born for reasons unknown to the kingdom the princess was sealed away never to be seen again.

Across the kingdom however while all this was going on a family rather wealthy and high standing welcomed a new baby boy, who they named newt. Yet his father already had two older more talented sons and thus newt was left purely to the attention of his mother.

And as in all old fairy tales, not long after his third birthday, his mother died.

The father wanted little to do with the blonde boy so he put him to work as a servent for his elder sons.

I groaned as I turned over trying to avoid the sunlight peering in thought my window hitting me in the eye I turned to face the wall hugging my old pillow tightly nuzzling close to the soft old fabric "uuummm princess..." I groaned holding it closer to me giving my pillow a kiss "good morning.... Uumm I know, I don't wanna get up either. Maybe we should just stay in bed a little while longer"I smirked pulling my pillow closer lightly rubbing myself on it but-

The sound of a thousand bells erupted from my wall so I groaned getting up and getting my clothes on running downstairs to the kitchen quickly making tea and breakfast taking the trays upstairs to my brother's room

"Your late!" They both complain

"I'm sorry the stove wouldn't light" I lied giving them there breakfast and there tea

"Liar! You where slaking!" They yelled

"He was probably off with that dam rat again!" Mark yelled

"He was probably sleeping in dreaming he was snuggling up with a princess again!" Alex yelled

"Shut up!' I complain going to leave

"You'll never get a princess newt! You'll be lucky dad doesn't just marry you off to the whore house, or some old crone!" Mark yelled I sighed shutting there door and going down the hall

"Good morning father" I smiled bringing him his breakfast, his tea and the morning paper

"Ahh newt, your late" he says

"Sorry the stove didn't want to light" I answered

"Very well" he nodded "Don't you have other things to be getting on with?" He asked and I nodded going back down to the kitchens to put on the pots for lunch and dinner once they where going I went around the house cleaning and dusting best I could, as soon as that was done I went out and fed the animals taking the laundry pot with me scrubbing and cleaning all the clothes often having to run inside to do some little task for my family to clean up after them, tie a shoe, get them a drink, I hated it but it's not like I have anywhere else to go, I wouldn't last a day out on the streets atleast this is a roof over my head, once I was done with the laundry I went and inside to start sorting the lunch sorting the soup I but on this morning, once it was done I took it up and severed it to them just as the door knocked my father glared so I went and got it, it was a messenger he handed me a letter and went off so I took it to my father who opened it and looked shocked

"Dear subject of our noble kingdom, all unmarried of age men are invited to a ball this evening to celebrate the birthday of the princess... And she will be choosing her husband" he read "this Is it boys I want you both looking your best one of you is bringing home a princess or so help me I'll roast your cocks on the open fire" he warned and my brother's ran off "what are you just standing around for?" He asked me

"So- so I can go father!" I asked excitedly

"What? You! No, go run there baths, go pick there clothes go on" he said

"But... The letter said all unmarried of age men.... That includes me father. I- I could try to marry the princess, better to have three options then just two?"

"Newt, I could never disprove your mother... But I have doubted since the day you where born that you where my son. Your not going that's final." He says I stormed upstairs to my room ignoring there bells and calls until I couldn't ignore them anymore I went and did the jobs they asked of me bidding them goodbye as they went to the palace I went up to my room feeding my little mouse a bit of biscuit looking at the castle across the way it lit up so beautifully I'd give anything to go...

"Your wish is my command" a voice smiled I jumped out of my skin looking to see a man behind me I pulled my little mouse close to me and screamed in terror "oh god I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you" he says

"W-w-w-ho are you?' I stuttered in fear

"Your fairy godfather you idiot' he laughs messing with my hair

"Fairy what?" I asked "if your my fairy... Godfather, why the hell haven't you helped before? You know my mum died! I've been abused and neglected since she died by my own father, who in fact might not be my father, and me not going to a party is the time you get off your ass to help with my problems?" I complain

"Look kid, were having to stretch alot of fairy tale cliché to get this weird ass plot to work it's really not the time for questioning it" he warns "now you wanna go have a shot at banging a princess or not?"

"Fine" I sighed "but this is really a stretch"

We headed outside and with a wave of a wand I was washed dressed and presentable "whoa! I wish I could have a bath and get dressed with a magic wand that would make life so much easier"

"Its amazing trust me, and your going to need some transport" he says taking my mouse from me

"Hey leave him alone!" I complain but with a flick and some magic dust he was a beautiful white horse that looked very confused "whoa... You uhh you got big Mr mouse. I Uhhh I just like sniffed some ye old

When I arrived at the palace I was ushered to a huge hall filled with people I felt everyone's eyes on me it was horrible I went through the hordes of people trying to escape to a less populated area when I bumped into someone

"Ooh goodness I'm so sorry" a voice said

"No, no quiet alright it was my fault" I said opening my eyes to see a girl in a beautiful blue dress with a Vail of lace covering her face she had been knocked to the floor as had I so I got up and helped her

"I'm sorry sorry I didn't see you" she says

"No, no really it's quite alright, it's my fault I should have been looking where I was going, I'm very sorry," I told her

"Where were you going?" She asks

"Oh the outer room get our from the masses a bit" i laughed which made her giggle

'likewise, would you mind?" She asks putting up her arm

"Of course not" I smiled letting her take my arm as she lead me to the little side room full of pictures and bookshelves

"I rather like it in here" she says

"The work is beautiful, and there are some amazing books" I said

"I like the quiet" she said "knowone ever comes in here"

"How do you know?" I ask her

"I go here often, I've never heard anyone else here" she smiled "I'm sorry... I should probably get back to the party"

"Well not if you don't want to" I told her

"I don't really want to" she giggled, we sat on a sofa chatting for what felt like forever she held my hand the whole time "I should really go back now, it is my party after all" she says

"Y-your party?" I asked "your the princess?"

"I am, I don't like telling people they tend to treat me differently" she explained

"I understand, my princess"

"Your sweet" she giggled "what's your name?"

"Newt" I smiled "what's your name princess?"

"Y/n" she smiled we sat and chatted for a while more talking about books and things until "newt... You know I'm looking for a husband tonight?"

"I do" I smiled

"Could I show you something?" She asks and I nodded she then slowly pulled back the lace pushing it over her head, she had beautiful hair, a adorable face, a smile that made me smile even more, she had a couple of scars on her cheeks and around her eyes and her eyes ... They where unique.

"Can I ask you what happened to your eyes?" I asked her

"The day after I was born when my family showed me off to the kingdom, someone tried to kill me. They failed but I was blinded"

"Y-your blind?" I asked "ohh you sweet princess"

"I wanted to find someone who didn't care about my eyes, but didn't want me for just my kingdom" she explained

"sir we are looking for the boy from last night, the princess has chosen him for her groom" the man said as he came in with y/n in a little light blue dress and her Vail still over her face

"She has!" I asked excitedly

"Quiet you! Excuse him young servent boy" my father said

"Humm he sounds familiar" she said

"Your highness he didn't even attend last night" he said

"Wait he's-" I began but he slapped me to Shut me up she went over holding the hands of each of my brother's

"Of course not" he said holding my arm tightly and she sadly left with the castle men but I slapped his hand away and ran out

one more because I delve into this and honestly it still hurts but writing about this makes me feel better. I want people to know this is not healthy behavior. This was the last email i ever got off him. And it was and still is the most upsetting to me. It was so simple. I had known this man to be my father since I was 3 (He is technically my step-father) and when I got this email i was about 13. I had dealt with the abuse for 8 years. We finally moved away, my parents divorcing. This was the whole email.

Ultimately what i want to say with this post is this isn’t a healthy relationship. And if someone you know is going through something like this, help them in any way you can.

Also, it is hard to get over this. Abuse is not something you can just walk away from. No matter how long it lasted for. the feeling is always somewhere near and it sucks. The weeks, months, years of abuse can manifest in many ways. In my case depression, anxiety, the constant need to have some kind of control in my life. I lost my phone and it has thrown me into a terrible feeling of lost control. I scrubbed all my pots and pans with steel wool the other day because i knew i could control how clean they were. (on a side note i cut my hand doing that please be careful with sharp objects) For my mum this abuse turned into PTSD. she passes out sometimes because of it and for years she was just a mess and at the age of 12 (when we left my father) i had to grow up and take care of the family and lost out on my childhood. now i am 18 and trying to be a child again and i can’t because i have bills to pay and responsibilities.

And even though the abuse never leaves it does get easier to handle. try not to let your feelings consume you too much. it’s okay to feel sad, just don’t sit in a dark room alone for 2 years trying to ignore the pain then pushing everyone away who tries to help causing you to have the worst feelings in the world about your self-worth.

You are worth it. You are worth the world.

You can make it. You can breathe.

You are so creative and intelligent.

No one has ever seen the world in the same way you have.

Paint it, write about it, dance your feelings.

Last week, I had my husband's car parked up at work and I was notified that our car was broken into. The passenger side window was smashed and the thief took our GPS unit. Willow Gone

   A drabble from Willow’s best friend, Eryk’s, point of view. It’s long, I’m sorry. These are the texts pertaining to this. 

   “Errie, how about today?”

   Eryk is lain across their bed, staring at the prune colored ceiling for the five-millionth morning in a row -- or so it feels. Little appears to be able to rouse them from their state.

   Their mother, aquamarine with cavernous holes littering her face -- a Meldonian -- stands at the doorway. Her tight, bright green hair curls with the consistency of seaweed fall from the crown of her head. They are the same curls that pull at Eryk’s own blue head. Her mouth is nothing but a large slit in the center of her face, but Eryk can understand both her question and the implications deep beyond it.

   They do not answer. Normally, Eryk’s love for their mother overrides all else, but now their love for someone else holds them, like chains, in their bed.

   “We love you, Errie,” she says, for the five-millionth morning in a row, circular fins with holes reaching towards them. Her voice always sounds as if it comes from deep underwater. “Whenever you're ready, you know. Seconds will wait for you.” She touches them, once, on the leg, then retreats. The door clicks behind her gently.

   Eryk closes their eyes and sees her. Not the mother they love -- their best friend. Dark curls, murky eyes, bright purple skin -- one of many things she was mocked for. Willow sky. She was their best friend, from the moment they met to the moment their mother told them she was gone.

   In a flash, Eryk can see their entire friendship. The moment she, in a flurry of curls and laughs, sat down next to them during lunch, introducing herself though uninvited. Trekking the mountains of Amyr, them wheezing and her laughing. Her splashing purple water at them and sticking out her tongue when they protested. Her hanging upside down in their hiding place, the storage unit, singing out of tune and changing the lyrics to fit her mood. The last time they saw her -- late at night, under the velvet sky, with stars sprinkling above them, her winking playfully at their gaze.

   Their eyes shut tightly at the images. Each memory is another chain that drags them down to their bed, leading with the terrifying crash of the moment Eryk woke up and saw their mother there. Their mother had never been allowed for extended stay upon planet -- Amyr rules -- and instantly, Eryk had felt sick.

   Dad’s dead, was Eryk’s first thought. I did something wrong. I failed my tests for Seconds. Mother is dying.

   But they had never expected the words that had come from their mother’s mouth, starting simply and gently.

   “Errie… when was the last time you saw Willow?”

   She was gone.

   Eryk presses their hands against their eyelids. Why hadn’t they told anyone when they saw the bruises on Willow’s skin? Why hadn’t they reported their fear for her life? Why didn’t they try harder? What if she were dead, as dead as her mother must be? And the most terrifying thought of all: What if she went off to Travel?

   She wouldn’t be able to survive. Not for a minute. Willow would have no idea what she’s doing. Though all evidence leads to her being upon another planet -- the loss of her mother’s tokens -- Eryk has been stubbornly refusing to believe it.

   Even with the possibility of her escaping with Tallow -- what her father currently believes -- Tallow can not care for Willow. What if he abandons her? What if he hurts her? What if she feels trapped?

   These thoughts have been circling in Eryk’s head for the eons it feels she’s been gone, but they haven’t abated, yet. Every day, Eryk wakes up to hear them repeat in perfect clarity.

   They’re sure they’re going insane.

   Eryk’s communicator chirps next to them. They never get messages. Curiosity wins over depression for the moment. They reach up, grabbing it off of the ivory table, and flip out the keyboard, making the screen light up.

   the will of the sky. (in range) 1 NEW MESSAGE.

   Eryk cannot stop the tears that immediately pour through their eyes as they select the message, quickly, shakily. They have always had what Willow called bleeding eyes, but they were sure the Terran expression was bleeding heart. And now, they are choking on it.

   It is a message from Willow.

   trvling mkes me ocean sick T_T ;-; ;(

   The words are so uniquely Willow -- down to the very last mark (or lack thereof) that Eryk begins sobbing harder.

   In a perfect world, they’d take time to control themselves. They’d wait until the feelings abated and let them breathe to reply. But they have not seen the words “in range” next to Willow’s name for a long time, so long they are afraid if they don’t reply immediately, she will disappear.

   Fuck you

   It’s all they can think to say.

   The response is so fast. 

   aw!! ;( dont b meeeeeeeean!!!

   Eryk is attempting to type a response, when another of Willow’s comes.

   i knw. i knw.

   Willow never left spell check on. Most Amyra didn’t. It came with switching languages -- it was easier to just type without having to change languages each time they wished to.

   Eryk closes their eyes, pushes their head towards the screen. Willow hardly types as… seriously… as her last message was.

   Eryk stares at the small, purple picture of Willow next to each message -- heart-shaped sunglasses, smiling at someone off-camera. Eryk took that picture for her. Eryk can still taste the air from that day, can still feel the grass beneath them. Of course, she’d taken the picture of the smoke that Eryk had always used as their picture. How many times had Eryk seen a message from Willow? Thousands. Millions. Almost constantly. Willow almost never stopped texting. But this message... these words... had such a new weight to them. 

   They hardly think as they reply.

   Where are you

   Because, of course, Eryk has to come get them. They’re already thinking to ask if they can borrow their mother’s ship when Willow replies, lightning fast as ever.

   Just like you didnt tell me you were leaving, Eryk’s hands answer for them. They almost put a question mark -- they normally don’t because they feel it leaves the statement too hard -- but they choose not to in the last instance.

   u knw y i had 2 do that 2.

   Maybe I dont Willow, they reply. After hitting send, they add on in a new message, If you wanted to run away with someone you were dating, thats fine but you still could have told me first.

   Eryk locks the screen, sits up in finality after the period. They brush their hands at their face when another message lights up.

   ?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????? the fck r u tlkin about???!?!?! Im not d8in ny1!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

   Yeah. Like Id know that. Because you keep me so updated with whats going on in your life right

   It feels right, now, to be angry. Eryk hasn’t been angry this entire time. Only scared -- only sad. This feels right.

   At least there is some relief. Willow is not dating Tallow. Hopefully, he is not treating her the way others have treated her here.

   My problem is that my best friend left planet without saying anything and is now trying to pretend it isnt a big deal

   Moments later, she’s back.

   And, in true Willow fashion, she launches into a tirade. They can just see her in their mind -- tongue out, concentration coursing through her body, bent over the screen as her fingers fly.

   Officials think you ran off with Tallow, they reply.

   off. r rite. but only bcuz he hs a staff. eryk the nly reason i ddnt tell u ws bcuz i knw ud rate me out

   She means ‘rat me out’. Eryk feels more tears coming at just reading the words. They are trying to hold on to the good things: she’s alive. Tallow hasn’t abandoned her. She might be okay. They are trying not to think how far away she could still be -- trying not to wonder how close she may be to them for the first time in forever. 

   Holy skies Willow. I missed you

   I know what you mean, they type through their tears. They have to move their communicator far away enough to escape the downfall of water.

   When are you coming home, they add.

   There’s a pause.

   ……………………. eryk i cnt come bck 2 amyr. id be put to death for leavin

   Please, they try. Eryk has never been overly selfish before, but they cannot stop it. How can they live without their best friend?

   But when minutes pass and they get no response, they let out a breath of air and say, Are you happy

   its better than being on amyr if thats what you mean lol

   Her grammar improved. That means she had to think deeply about that reply. Eryk hesitates. Maybe she truly needs their help?

   I guess that is what I mean, they try. They don’t know what to say -- she said it was better than on Amyr. Better than when she was with Eryk. Better than when they were close.

   A long pause. Eryk doesn’t know what to say, but, as always, is saved by Willow.

   i hv a confession 2 make

   Okay

   i ddnt mssg u bcuz i missed u. tho i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dnt get me wrong!!!!!!!!! fckin FCK i miss u!!!!!!!! but i mssgd u… 2 say srry. ;C ;C  4 not saying gdbye. :c :c

   Eryk sighs and closes their eyes. Willow has never been very good at saying sorry.

   They release a soft breath at the emotion -- runs their fingers over the image. If they had more Amyra in them, maybe they’d be blinking in and out from the intense feelings. They close their eyes and pray -- though praying was never something they did before Willow disappeared. Now, however, it seems to highlight their life. Almost every moment is spent in it. Willow believes so avidly in the sky -- it has to save her, doesn’t it? 

   Their phone chirps, calling them back.

   Eryk knows what that means before Willow types it, and immediately responds, Please

   Please dont go. Not yet

   pls dnt tell any1 i mssged u

   I wont, they type back, oh skies I wont just promise you wont go

   They will promise anything, now. Tears rolling down their face -- choking on them -- the volume of their sobs rising so much they hear their mother swaying up the stairs, coming to check on them.

   im so srry. i cnt do nythin. gates up. i love you eryk.

   She never types out ‘I love you’. Never. Never. Never.

   I love you too Willow. Please dont leave me

   bye

   “Willow!” They’re screaming at their phone, shaking it. “Willow!”

   Willow come back

   Willow please!

   Their fingers shake as the letters light up on the screen.

   Please please please. I cant do this without you

   WILLOW!

   And then the dreaded three words light up next to Willow’s name -- out of range -- and Eryk collapses as their mother throws open the door and wraps her arms around them.
