I still can't get the unused concept art of Wish out of my head so I've been reading a lot of rewrites and looking at a lot of Wish redesigns...

So... I got inspired. I'm currently conceptualizing my own Wish "rewrite/redesigns", but with a twist. It's gonna be a spiritual "prequel", cuz idk I feel like being meta since we'll be using the original concepts before the final concepts/decisions made for the final movie XD

Many of my "prequel" characters will be stand-ins for the canon characters! So "Asha" will be renamed "Amala", "Magnifico" will be called "Mamoun", and so on. Think of Pokemon Legends: Arceus regarding the relations of these "OCs" with the canon characters.

Anyway, here are the designs I have so far! I only have the designs for Amala and the Star for now. Hopefully, I can get to draw the other characters soon, especially Mamoun and his wife.

The story will be called "Once Upon a Wish"

Here's an overview of what I have so far... Some details may change if I feel like my other choices serve the story better. (Also, small disclaimer, this is just a veryyy self-indulgent AU made by yours truly, so some details may not be accurate with the canon lore present in Wish)

The story takes place on the same island of Rosas, but from many years ago. If my research is right, canon Wish takes place in the 1200s, so maybe my "prequel" can take place in around the 900s-1000s. Rosas definitely wasn't called Rosas back then, but I'm still figuring out what to call it so I'm just gonna refer to it as "an island".

Amala is a shy, meek, but hardworking apprentice of the island's head sorcerer Mamoun (hence, her color palette looks similar to Mickey's outfit from The Sorcerer's Apprentice). Despite all her hard work in her magic studies, she doesn't really excel at using magic, making a lot of accidents during training. If there's anything she really excels at, it's the act of storytelling (She can draw/animate, sing, and write stories like fairy tales).

Amala also has a little sister Ayah, who I can imagine is the Lilo/Anna to Amala's Nani/Elsa. Ayah is spunky and cheerful, but she has an illness that makes her disabled. The sisters are orphans, but they live under an old family friend they affectionately call Grandpa Dabir. Dabir is a retired bard turned doctor who was part of a troupe with 6 other former bards, all of whom he and the sisters still interact.

Not sure if you remember but i saw you mention in the tags or something about how you had an oc that was the child of the god of slavic fox stories n was just curious about that idea of yours

Well I wouldn't count them as ocs per say just because it's a loose idea rattling around in my brain and not solidified as a story I'd definitely want to pursue, but sure I can talk about it a bit! The idea is about story "gods" that represent a specific reoccurring idea/animal/character/etc living in a space beyond the spoken and written word, so like. There'd be a god of the big bad wolf, or cinderella, etc, although I wanted to focus on Russian fantasy so in comes the god of Russian story foxes, such as the one that stole the cheese from the crow or pursued the grapes. He represents all of the iterations of these foxes and sort of guards and guides them, but he got bored of that and started observing the real world, through windows created by open books. He then encountered a librarian whom he developed a crush on, entered the real world one day to introduce himself (super forbidden for story gods to physically manifest irl), ended up developing an actual romantic relationship with her and would be in the story world less and less. He then broke the ultimate rule and created a daughter (stories are meant to be created, not creators, and especially not something irl) but was forced to return after A) his prolonged stay in the physical world started literally disintegrating him and B) when he returned, there were active efforts to keep them there without ever contacting the outside world again. This daughter grew for a few years and long story short, discovered she could travel through books, met her dad, they had a reckless adventure bc he was so excited to spend time with her, etc etc. She appears human in the physical world, but apart from book travel, can create mushrooms under her feet bc mushrooms are very entrenched in russian culture and it's also very cute :]

Sorry if my BigB looks weird (I tried really hard :( ) I'll pretend that that's intentional given my rabbit hybrid BigB thoughts under cut:

I made a little post about this before but basically BigB has such rabbit behavior:

1. Cannot help but keep burying himself underground like it's his natural habitat (seriously he comes back on ground to build a house on a mountain and then immediately makes an elaborate underground hideout again. Or how he built backrooms in SL and kept retreating there. Or how he was literally underground when he ran into Pearl, for Pearl to inform him that it was night time and BigB immediately wanting to retreat back underground. Or how he was underground for almost the entire "red winter is coming" session. Or)

2. Often fidgety around others

3. Constantly cautious but doesn't let nervousness show if there is any

4. More prone to keeping distance and watching rather than engaging

Idk he is extremely prey animal behavior (positive, affectionate) and I can never see him as anything but a rabbit now. I considered giving him rabbit legs too but then I was like nah. Because I think him having weird rabbit posture in a mostly human body contributes some inherent awkwardness and a bit of uncannines (fitting with his gaslighting tendencies). After all he's kind of out of his element above ground (or that's how he acts!) and that's when people are going to be seeing him. But just you wait till he stands tall for a change to tell someone off (like Cleo in SL or Scott in LimL). And with such posture, he inadvertently makes himself look smaller, which certainly would help him weasel his way out of undesired situations like he often does, eg by talking people into pitying him to save himself from dying. I'd also like to imagine him to be smart enough to manipulate his rabbit ears to not betray how he's feeling or to make others think he's feeling a certain way, unless he feels particularly threatened or something. That's maybe half the appeal of animal ears to me, that they can be an added tool for emoting, but a hybrid moving them in deliberate ways is a fun concept!

Oh and he has caving boots!!

I do kind of seethingly hate how he looks with his ears drawn back but I did the best I could. I really hate having human ears in addition to animal ears personally, but if I put his ears any further up where they'd look cuter (Pearl's antennae for comparision) it'll look really weird. Aghh whatever he's supposed to be awkward so whatever please ignore it Im going to cry

Also if you think the old design is cuter, it's almost certainly because of the lesser facial hair lol trust me!! And I changed the curly hair to be a bit less curly in likeness to Lee from Walking Dead because I did not realize that BigB's skin is basically that and I couldn't help myself. I was overall really unhappy with my old BigB design so yay for redesign. I swear its not just animal features that make things interesting for me...... maybe somewhat....

i do have a google doc full of everything i headcanon for tgs but some of that is embarrassing as hell so im just slapping the important stuff here

most of these 'headcanons' are here more because they make me happy than to actually make any sense. as a warning.

smokes fat blunt puffs it in your face anyways uh trans henry jekyll yeah (gets shot) ty person from the j&h community i was messaging that dragged me to the dark side and introduced me to the world of embracing my j&h trans headcanons. a true angel.

i really like more book inspired takes on j&h than the musical ones soo uhh.. yeah theyre the same person fully no j&h arguing thing. im soooorrrrryyy its just my preference for adaptations and i find it a lot more fun to play with story wise. also some other reasons but i wont get into those

polyamorous and bisexual (bi because... obvious reasons. poly because of that one couple they meet up with in the comic every now and then. my favourite ... ship (i think thats the right term?) in the comic. i love them.)

gas mask because it looks cool + chemical shenanigans ("oh but those didnt exist" shh. shhhhh.")

speaking of chemicals! they are much more into science. mostly does science-y stuff when theyre hyde though. they like to break into lodgers rooms and contribute to experiments.

tried making jekyll in the concept redesign of him look older. failed SO bad im sorry i know its horrible.

hyde has pointy ears + pointer teeth (and green tongue because potion goop) + slit pupils because i am incapable of designing a human hyde. i have no idea why but i just cant.

earrings because 1: i have a bad habit of giving designs earrings and 2: i remember seeing a few headcanons of j&h with earrings and they were so tasty to look at so i had to do my own

bandage scarf thing from the beta tgs hyde design + newer tgs design that only shows up in the mind... world.... thing.

added the uhhh goggles from the old design too.

red and green hat because i couldnt decide if i wanted hyde to have the red hat from the old design of tgs hyde or the green hat from the current design. ripped it in half and chose both. great decision making i know

chunks of brown hair in hydes because why not. also red ring around one eye as like a weird variant of half heterchomia.

hyde has weird patches of green colored skin idk it just looked cool when i was fiddling with colors so i kept it

hyde has red scales in certain spots of the design. no further explanation

gave hyde black gloves to contrast jekylls white gloves + cmon. hyde probably touches the most gross revolting shit with the places they go to. they deserve some gloves.

changed their body type a litttttle bit just a smudge

i was going to give jekyll a cravat around the neck (a really bad designing habit of mine is to give characters cravats. not my fault they look so cool) both as a fancy thing + to hide lack of a adams apple buuttt the design felt way too clumped so im scrapping that. ignore the cravat in the drawing. grrr bARKBAKRABK

actually does sparkle visually/not just as a non-existent visual effect and people can actually see it. lanyon always swats them away because the sparkles get in his face.

hyde is more shorter than shown in the comic, more like book hydes height. like a foot or more shorter than jekyll. jekyll stays around the same height though. hydes probably the shortest one in the society.

hyde has a strong scottish accent instead of the other accent he fakes in the comic that i always forget the name of

has a cane like the og book. its a sword cane.... yeah i have a addiction, im sorry. (like half my own personal characters have sword canes)

i suck so bad at drawing shoes so hydes shoes look like ass but theyre supposed to be big boots since this guy probably walks through yucky mucky areas and stuff

i would totally write some oneshots or something like that of these guys going on adventures doing experiments and stuff yknow . (stuff like lodgers content and interactions, lanyon and hyde interactions because i enjoy secret identity and person said secret identity personal knows outside of their secret identity interactions, that one couple i talked about before interactions with jekyll/hyde and just in general random oneshots that make no sense) if i actually had any literacy skill

ever since i found out abt cure puka, role swapping them and prim is something ive been rotating in my mind. and now that i have the actual story in book form i was able to really sit down with it and think. initially my ideas were pretty basic with a generic role swap. puka is now the cure while prim is the fairy and nothing else changes. it was more for sillies and i wasnt sure how to formulate an actual story around it.

i drew these back when all i had were the trailers to go off of lol

a complete story is my end goal when writing any au. i really like to take into consideration how the entire story could be affected by this change and im a big stickler for trying to make it all make sense. i figured there are two ways i could go about this. one is that i can stick to the original concept of a basic role swap. im sure i could make some sort of story out of it. but it was just. kinda boring to me. the story would follow a lot of the same beats. the only real change being that they look different. maybe change things up with a team swap as well? idk. or maybe swap their personalities, but i found that to be kinda. reductive. i feel half the appeal of personality swaps is redesigning the characters as such and well.

idk not much would change lol. There personalities are inverse of each other and so are their designs. It’d be pretty boring to me

and option two. i ended up laying out what drives these two characters. prim is driven to act though a desire to gain power and prove their strength. pukas actions revolve around their hatred of their power. the two contrast each other in personality, with prim being emotionless and blunt while puka is very much the opposite. i want to stay true to that. so i decided to try and swap their moralities. they would still follow their principles since it defines their characters, but they would have different goals due to circumstance, idk if that makes sense. it would probably help if everyone actually knew the story lol. soon,,, but yeah. puka becomes more of the driving force, taking prims place as a "precure" and being the one in charge. swap pukas goals are different, and their relationship to their strength and power is complicated. i dont fully know what im doing with them yet but i have ideas. swap prim on the other hand is forced into a passive role as a fairy. prim does not like this. they will bite you.

overall i just want to ensure the theme of power and "what is a precure" is kept in tack since i find that to be most important. its all veryyy interesting to me and i dont want to say too much since its still very fresh and being worked out and i dont want to contradict myself later but. yeah :]

so, first off, minor circuit. kid quick = disco kid again, yeah its pretty much confirmed at this point disco kid’s a redesign. also, he comes before kaiser so maybe the order was going to be different? anyway, next obvious difference i see is king hippo. hes got a lot more tape now. i think around 5 straps? that would have made for a way harder boss fight.

next, major circuit. well… really, major circuit is pretty much the same… ok next-

world circuit time! something i noticed is soda being really glossy for some reason. was he like that before? i dont remember. anyways, bald bull. mans looks like hes gonna explode… is he okay? god knows.

8 - 25/11/2023 : was thinking about book covers, forgot why, but also on the name of my story for Ru, Toni, those fellows, usually i just call it Violet, but i feel maybe its a bit, nothing, idk, like its not catchy enough, so i have another idea of expanding it into You, me, & Violet, and heres a quick mockup of what a book cover for it could look like.. u can tell i got graphic design qualifications from the late 2010s x (shut up i luv this doodle)

9-11 - 25/11/2023 : Robin redesigns.. again.. just some concept doodles, mostly just a change to his hair and his top, i thought adding more colour was essential, so, he'd usually wear like minty green colour trainers, i made those and, by extension, his jumper, the same blue colour, which isn't Too blue, it's still a little bit greeny, very slightly, just for some harmony in his design.. will need to draw more of this concept to really get a concrete final design

Heya, im alright answering this, i just don't really know the answer myself ..

Its still on my mind time to time but i have to admit that, these past couple of years, Ive been less present in LCA fandom to focus on my personal projects such as SONOTK or BRS .

dont get me wrong, i LOOOOVE LCA, you have no idea how much this show means to me.. but CREATURE AU never was a fully written story, it is a basic concept i conceptualized and other people build upon, check Unhinged and the Lock and the key, if you havnt yet ! I still wanna bring to live this story someday but maybe in a different form.. maybe Oc-ify it or not..what i dont want , is force myself to get back to it for the sake of "completing it"

if/when i get back to it, whatever form it takes, i want it to be out of love and passion for this project, whenever it gets back to me !

TLDR: it still exist, maybe not in the form it used to, but rn my focus is my personal project.

1st of ALLLLLL i like my guys covered with cheese. alright? cannot tell you how much i think about them. blosc shouldntve canonized alternative universes because i got very obsessed cause i know theres a universe they married like 15 years pre-canon... (I LOVE CROSSOVERS AND AUS!!!!!)

speaking of crossovers and aus, here's a little medieval fantasy/dnd/fairytale au ive been cooking on the back burner. idk kind of need me a paladin buzz what can i say! (i came across the first sketch a while after drawing it and thought, What the hell does "SP" on his uniform stand for? Did I forget to finish writing "SR"? and then i understood SP stands for Space Paladins and had a laugh.) also i love to think about different aus and how warps hand can be implemented in them like this magic hand :)

here we have... warp. a guy... who i am very normal about. anyway. you do not imagine how many floating heads of his with the same expression im sparing you because in half of my recent files theres a stray layer or two of warp!!! 1st pic is the homoeroticism of tag team (my favourite) and the 3rd pic is some agent z redesigns/doodles.

EVILYEAR AND GRAVITINA COULD PULL A LAZSLO AND NADJA!!! ive been rewatching wwdits seasons 1/2 and got very inspired. while drawing this ive imagined like a million concepts as a side dish. evilyear has a reincarnation who is the normal buzz and of course the normal buzz is a vampire hunter. i heard he had a hunting partner who got turned into a vampire himself? fucked up if true. ozma is a werewolf and she makes out with gravitina sloppy style. Who said that?

oldies (made before i finished the show! hence the screenshot from the comic instead of First Missions! i dont know why i read the comic before i finished the show.) featuring mira :) and the old design of warp which i dont really use anymore but which holds a special place in my heart.

omg this is my most recent oc, so recent that she doesnt have a name yet (i made her like a month and a half ago), shes for a collaborative concept im doing with my dear friends about a group of washed up, super powered adults who were left behind in the changing times of their society in favor of superpowered kids and teens who are being made the face of the "first" generation of heroes :3

and uh.. hm... old ocs.. well my Oldest oc concepts have been put in the vault for retirement or Maybe Ill Come Back To Them Eventually IDK , but my oldest that are still in active development are my characters from my webcomic @noroicomic and i uh

redesigned the main characters castle/home, i just need to actually redesign the inside of it now since i have a mildly better idea of architecture and perspective

the past few years since i put the comic on hiatus ive just been spending time planning out the story in more detail, filling holes that i ignored because i was just so excited to start my comic and fleshing out the world more so its not barren and empty :]

nigga always got something to say, but got nothin to contribute like, honestly stfu. Every single time in the past when I've asked them for help it's always “idk”, “figure it out yourself”, or they give me da silent treatment and just ignore any and everything to do with our projects. But the moment I do come up wit something it's always “no”, “i don't like”, “i don't agree”, etc etc. and then I ask, “well, what's wrong with it? what do you want our characters to look like instead?”, and it's the same thing “idk”, “figure it out yourself” or the silent treatment. Like COME ON. I'm the one who came up with da original designs for literally EVERY MONSTER. It pisses me off.

“Why is she built like that? In the og she had big boobs, a small waist and a fat ass” (which was not true because I specifically make her have a tummy 🤦🏿) it's like WYM!??!?! Because that was my ART STYLE from damn near 7 YEARS AGO!?!?!? ALL of our characters looked like that not because they were SUPPOSED to be designed like that. But because that was the ONLY shit I knew how to draw. Art styles change goofy.

I aint even ask for feedback. I was just minding my own business posting my art and here this mf come gotta say something. “Look at the og”, “Look at what the og is like”. YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT!?!?!? WHY do you guys talk to my like im a fucking idiot? I always look at the og for reference when I'm drawing. And this is what I came up with. My old old art was so underdeveloped and inconsistent, I gotta fill in the blanks and fix it now. The OG concept art is not the holy grail bitch.

In fact we BOTH agreed the OG needed to be redesigned and I got NO help with dat either. WHAT'S UR PROBLEM!! The human characters were the easiest part and I had to do it all by myself. Actually I had to work overtime to learn how to draw other body types so I could make the human characters look normal. And tf did they do? Absolutely nothing. Uh it's not even online, when we would meet up in person to work together, it's still “idk” and they would just sit in the corner and shrug. There are not even hard questions!?!? Is this person tall or short? Would they wear jewelry? Makeup? Just general questions.

Yeah so fuck it. It's MY art and I'm going to draw all the characters I designed any way I want to. And if you have a problem with it, you can pick up a fucking pencil and design them yourself, like you were suppose to be doing.

I remember being in class and wanting to do a weird little face , i think It was for Halloween or some shet like that , and i have a LOT of tries and sketches , one day ill post em' ( maybe ) ( also they're super scuffed and cringe tho ) and i dont know how but the face ended Up in a TV , and now It has a body , i also remember joining the rain world discord server , i posted my custom region lizards there too , and someone liked them and i dont really remember how but we started talking and i asked them if they wanted a lizard , from that moment we began to send each other ideas for the other to draw it and such and I loved it , and one day we started drawing on aggie.io or magma ( a site where you can draw with friends ) idk i dont really remember , but i drew Stich and they came Up with the idea of antennae which i loved , and now is part of the design ,

And i dont know what more to say so I'll just put some drawings and explain them a bit ( some of the drawings are quite old so they're worse in my opinion , but I'll show then anyway )

This was the first digital drawing I did of Stitch ( + kid )

Here I think I got hyper fixation with flower crowns lol

Here I discovered that I could draw on black with white and decided to do something with TV snow

Here i was bored so i traced a photo of a hoodie and added some things cuz yeah

This one is some Sort of redesign where i decided to give them headphones , which i like but not always draw them because of lazy

I made this in a moment i wasnt feeling great , and idk , its just some stuff i kept thinking and wanted to draw it

Oh yeah and , i think i came Up with the idea of a TV because of the weird glitches and like , whenever i have a tic or get stressed , It glitches or something

Oohh yeah , forgot to mention that i made human versións of my ocs , im not as Happy as i'd like with the drawing , but i like the concept so yeah

And finally the last drawing i made , It's fairly recent and Im still proud of how it turned out , and , i dont know , just the thought of me doing this its impressing

Ooh, I'm pretty curious about your AU, I have a bunch of questions (if you don't mind answering. I just really love to hear ideas from AUs in general lol):

1-Will it be a comic, a fanfic, a fanfic with images to show important moments or just a concept in general?

2-Do the other kwamis simply DON'T EXIST in this AU, or did you choose only to not include them (so like, they DO exist in your world, but simply won't be shown)?

3-Will the sentimonster plot still happen? Will you put Félix (AND Argos) in your AU?

4- Do you plan to redesign all secondary characters? (Like the miracuclass, Félix, Nathalie, the major etc etc)

5-Will you change the miraculous powers? (Specially fluffy's, since he/they seem to be one of the kwamis in your au. Will they still have time travel powers?)

6-Are the characters you already redesign the ones who will be the other miraculous holders or will this be a spoiler? (So I'm guessing like, maybe Chloe gets the bunny and Sabrina the bee since that would make Sabrina the queen instead of Chloe lol- I didn't really get from your first post if you said that the AU would have kwami swaps, maybe I understood it wrong)

FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU FOR ASKING THESE ARE ALL GREAT QUESTIONS

1. Right now Im going to focus on posting lore snippets, some important lore changes, concept arts and doodles and possibly rants on miraculous' bad writing, but I am planning to make it a comic eventually!

2. They do exist.. or at least they did (I'm still writing that part). Fluffy is a prime example that other wonders (miraculouses) do exist, but outside of the kwamis in the lineup, they won't appear or be used.

3. Nope! There's a massive block that prevents the sentimonster plot for happening which I will mention in question 4. As for Felix and Argos, they're not happening either. I was actually thinking of removing Felix completely because I want a mostly straight-forward plot. Besides, I doubt MnP!Gabriel would allow any of his possible accomplices to bear an actual Wonder due to risks that could come If the person was to betray them or ESPECIALLY allow hormone pumped teenagers to fight by his side long-term

4. I have a few designs in mind, but in miracuclass's case they're not going to be something major unless I have a really good idea for a rewamp. Besides, most of them aren't going to be that important anyway..

5. YES! I already made changes to the Wonders of butterfly, peacock, rabbit and slight tweaks to turtle.

Butterfly - as we know from canon, akumas serve a purpose to create faithful followers. I went along with that sentence and I decided that the wonder allows the user to SHARE their power with a person of choosing (the strong emotion requirement is still there). With that, It puts a limit on Monarch's (Hawk Moth) power as he can't send more than 5 akumas without feeling the effects on his body. Due to lack of power provided by the Wonder, the artifact just drains the user themselves to gather an efficient amount to share. I hope It makes sense the same way as it does in my head..

Peacock - While butterfly's Wonder has an extremely close relation to Ladybug (creation) and it COULD make sense, I never really felt the sentimonster power have the same engagement. To me, It feels like a plot device ESPECIALLY WITH LIVING SENTIMONSTERS. Idk. I gave it a minor purpose - to disguise/confuse. It might still change over time but currently, the power allows the user to "hypnotise" their person of choice. The idea mostly came from the feathers and eye-like elements on peacocks, distracting you with their beauty.

Turtle doesn't change much. I just figured the creation of the shield doesn't have to be JUST round so the turtle user can create a wall made out of the green hexagons. It could be useful in other situations like maybe using it as a platform or a bridge! I doubt Its canon, but If it is I guess no changes then

Most important point though - NO TIME TRAVEL. Yes, the rabbit wonder doesn't have time travelling powers and instead has ones resembling the horse's miraculous. It can jump into "the burrow" and jump out on the other side. Time travel is a plot device anyway, all my homies hate time travel (toh is the ONLY exception)

6. It's not a miraculous swap AU, no. Most of the holders will be aligned with the show, although there will be a difference here and there

I love this question because I love talking about character design and the whole evolution of designs.

Difficult has to be Oyster, my Kraken-turned-Cat Oc. It's such a wild concept to try and translate into a design and he originally was a rubberhose oc!

But lately I've actually been working on a redesign for him that takes more inspiration from his Kraken half (and splatoon influence)

Honestly. Character design is a skill you have to build up. I can SHOW YOU that. A lot of my ocs have gone through intensive design rehauls over the years to get where they are now, and I'm not sure if ill ever be completely content with a design as they also change with art skill. The more you can draw- the more you can design.

Clawfoot (again) and Bucky for instance:

(sorry its gross) This is the first art I ever did of Bucky and Clawfoot. Very clearly rubberhose ocs as thats what i was into at the time! Poor Clawfoot didn't even have a face to begin with. This art is also 8 Years Old. Compare to their designs now:

And you can see the improvement. Are they perfect? No, but their designs show their story much better than when they first were designed. And they show an improvement in art skill and design knowledge as well! Other characters don't change their designs all that much, but instead change styles, Cony and Pa for instance haven't gotten any huge changes from their first iterations:

their base outfits may have changed, (not these those are pjs) but their base designs changed not in design somewhat, but mainly in style and how well they're drawn.

This is why I'm so passionate about OCs and OC designs. Especially with younger generations learning what they want to create and how. It takes time to develop solid ocs that YOU love and it doesn't do any good to push down those who are just starting. I was there too, and so were you.

I'm pretty sure fnaf 4 was made when scott was trying to made dream theory a thing, which explains mangle. Obviously we're not longer going down that route but there was a point where scott was steering us there. And i was always confused on why the funtimes were made to kill kids so far ahead, idk though

oh, the genuine answer as to why I think the Funtimes were already created while Evan is alive is because I think it's more interesting that way. It's not rooted in canon whatsoever; I just think Evan and Mike's story is more interesting if Liz's death caused a rift between them and if William was a killer from the start, rather than Liz dying later after William was "triggered" into being a killer by Evan's death.

I've seen people say that there is "no possible way" Elizabeth could have died first because the Funtimes weren't made until after Evan died, since Evan's death is what made William want to get Remnant, and I don't think that's necessarily true.

I 100% agree with you that the toy in Liz's room was originally meant to be another clue to dream theory. That's what the original intent was, but like you said, the story Scott wanted to tell has changed and dream theory is no longer the "Right" interpretation (if it ever truly was; having a "Right" interpretation is a pretty subjective and meaningless concept in a fandom like fnaf).

So, taking the "Evan saw a couple of broken toys in Liz's room, including a broken Funtime Foxy, and his brain created The Mangle as a nightmare in fnaf 2" out of the mix, then other (all equally valid) interpretations include:

similar to the Toy animatronic models, the Funtimes first existed as toys. Then sometime after Evan's death, William recreated those toys as actual animatronics for CB Pizza World

The Funtimes already existed and had their own line of toys before Evan died

William was still in the planning phase for the Funtime animatronics during 1983, and they were still being created at the time of Evan's death. We do see the Funtimes blueprints, but we don't necessarily know whether the blueprints we saw detailing their murderous features were the originals (as in the Funtimes were always designed to kill even before Evan died) or if they were redesigns with tweaked modifications William put in later (as in William added the murderous features after Evan died, but the Funtimes weren't originally intended to be Death Machines).

So, since dream theory is no longer the direction the story is heading in, I think the existence of the Mangle toy in Liz's room shows that it IS possible that the Funtimes already existed while Evan is alive, though I'll admit that the Funtimes only being toys or William still being in the planning phase for building the Funtimes in 1983 are also valid options to explain why Liz would have a Funtime Foxy/Mangle toy in 1983. It just so happens that "the Funtimes already existed" is the most interesting option to me, so that's what I'm going with :)

ramblings on my personal feelings about my GG fave

i have such mixed feelings about testament's redesign. before i get too much into it. this is the internet so in case any rando sees this and doesnt know me: there is no wrong or right way to be nonbinary. there is no wrong or right way to present or feel yourself. i am against binary completely. i do not believe in transa/ndrophobia garbage.

i also wanna state i am a long time testament fangirlie. i love testament. i am happy testament was added. im happy they came out and said testament is x-gender/nb. testament in the old GG games partially helped me realize i was transmasc/nb. i think maybe thats why the redesign makes me feel a bit strange. first, a comparison.

Testament's general goth vibe and outfit basically never changed until Strive. I do think it's very interesting that from GG-->GGIsuka, Testament gained a six pack and yet also somehow became much skinnier and looks almost emaciated. Original GG Testament was very much a softer type build with no abs. I'd even say in Strive, their body shape became closer to how it was in the original GG.

Along with that, a lot of the design elements are still there, which I think is really impressive. The boots, the skirt, the gloves, and their new corset has the same arm flairs/wraps as their old tube top did. Really, they did a great job keeping the same vibe but showing that Testament has changed. So what's my problem? I've been trying to figure it out for a while. And seeing this concept art for Strive I think kinda cemented my feelings.

It was clear from the beginning they wanted Testament to have a more "fancy" look(lol the hat). In fact the one on the right is almost the exact same outfit but their body is drastically different... And I think this might be why I feel so mixed. GG creator has said Testament was always X-gender, and I think this comes through from their design from the very start. Back in ye olden days, before the Strive redesign, Testament 100% received transphobic comments that I shant repeat. But I'm sure you can imagine the sort of hatred and slurs a transfem would receive. having testament's redesign be clearly, much much more feminine isn't necessarily a bad thing- in fact i dont think its bad. again... being nb doesnt mean someone has to look any certain way. but testament isnt a real person. testament is a character designed by people. how would people have reacted if Testament was more masculine, but they still came out and said they were nb? The poses, the voice... it was all the same but Testament wasn't clearly much more fem? the way nb feels like something only allowed to more fem presenting people i guess makes me a bit concerned. go to any post about testament and look at the comments. its all "SEXY MOMMY THIGHS THEY SLAYIN" type shit. testament p much never received this attention beforehand. testament was also just... not as popular as other chars such as brisket who received the majority of attention in this way.

where am i going with this... idk. in a way, i have a lot of not clear thoughts and no where to put them. again maybe its just because i saw testament as gender goals before strive. and as someone that is nb but wants to be more masc it makes me a bit upset. there is absolutely a pattern of what is acceptable for a nb person to look like(especially when you are transfem), and i guess it just sucks that it happened to testament who i thought was perfect in the beginning. ngl i do also miss their edgier parts also. they def moved away from edgy to a fancy/posh vibe. testament's scythe used to be made of their own blood, and they'd cut off their body parts and remove skin for attacks. i can, obviously accept that this can be a reflection of them growing as a person and no longer self harming now that they are happy... or maybe it was too hard to animate in 3D... teehee....

this walk cycle literally cannot be beat it is the best.

i wanna be them so bad again tho i wanna reiterate. testament is my #1 fave guilty gear char forever i love them. this will not change. i just have many thots and feelings
