❝ Dearest gentle reader,

While this author will freely admit to paying some special attention to the Bridgerton and Featherington families over the course of her writings, there is certainly another family of the ton who is quite equally worthy of note. The Norringtons of Edgewater, headed by notorious eccentric Baron Peter Norrington, certainly seem poised to create some ripples in London’s social scene this season, especially with two out of three daughters officially presented to society.

At the head of the line of Norrington children is Miss Eliza Norrington, now entering her third season with, this author is regretful to report, seemingly no more hope of finding a match then in her two previous seasons. Though it can hardly be doubted that the eldest Miss Norrington has been properly trained in all the genteel arts befitting a daughter of nobility, as well as a perfectly polite and compassionate manner, she also seems to possess an unfortunate - in the eyes of her potential suitors, at least - fondness for books, having often been seen at social events with her nose tucked into a tomb. This, combined with her timid nature, seems to have warded any eligible gentleman off from calling on her, to the presumed despair of her dear mama, who is very much the opposite of her dear eldest daughter in disposition.

Then we must turn our attention to the middle daughter, Miss Genevieve Norrington, who will be making her debut this London season. The young Miss Genevieve, like her mama, also appears to be very different from her elder sister; indeed, as this author hears it, she is in possession of a fierce temper and a rather outspoken tongue, having often been heard spouting ideas about gender equality and women’s education that seem altogether too modern for most members of the ton. This rather nasty reputation, accompanied by the fact that she will be sharing her debut with Miss Daphne Bridgerton, the Queen’s recently named diamond of this season, does not bode well for Miss Genevieve’s prospects this season in the opinion of this author, and may in fact leave Lady Norrington with two daughters begun on the track to becoming that most dreaded of things, the spinster.

And, last but certainly not least, there is still Miss Aurelia Norrington, the youngest and yet-to-be-debuted Norrington daughter. If possible, Miss Aurelia seems to show even less willingness to be presented and wed than her sister Genevieve - indeed, this author hears, she has often been known to deride the so-called marriage mart and the traditions surrounding it, insisting that we should all be better off finding matches by chance the way commoners do. Although there will be some time for the youngest Norrington to change her mind about these views - or, rather for her mother to change them for her - she seems to be quite content watching this season from the sidelines with childhood friend Miss Eloise Bridgerton, the two watching the goings-on of London society with negligible envy as their other friend Miss Penelope Featherington seeks to navigate it, as she makes her debut alongside her sisters.

Indeed, dearest reader, it may seem from the outside that there will be nothing of note in store for the Norrington sisters this season, simply another disagreeable young lady fading into the background and chasing away all prospects while her elder sister marches further and further towards the role of old maid. But all is not as it seems - for I do tell you, reader, it would appear that an unfortunate meeting with the Viscount Bridgerton while trying to help his diamond of a sister escape his protective glares at her suitors may have sparked a connection between Miss Eliza and Lord Anthony. And as it would happen, the newly debuted Miss Genevieve seemed to have some sort of prior introduction to London’s newest arrival, the Duke of Hastings, despite, to this author’s knowledge, never having been formally introduced to the man - and, not to be outshone by her elder sisters, Miss Aurelia has publicly declared her shared intention with Miss Eloise Bridgerton to discern the identity of this very gentle author, a fruitless endeavour indeed.

Yes, gentle reader, I believe this season, with all its Bridgertons, Featheringtons, and Norringtons in the mix, may prove to be the most dramatic, scandalous, and perhaps even romantic one in quite a while. But, for better or for worse, you may count on one thing: that I shall be here to dutifully inform you about it all.

PRESENTING MY OC FROM THE LORAX !!

Ok, I would like to use my profile to present some of my things, as I do some things involving the universe of The Lorax. I have an AU, but I'm going to focus on my oc outside of this AU, which would be a representation of me on a certain way.

Introducing Layla

Layla is a 21-year-old girl who has lived practically her entire life in an orphanage. Her parents died when she was still a baby, so she never really knew them.

At the age of 18, she was able to receive the billion-dollar inheritance that her parents left her before they died. Her father owned a canned food company that was very famous in this universe while her mother was a renowned lawyer. However, she only found out about it when she turned 18 and came into possession of her family's fortune.

As soon as she got the money, she wanted to fulfill her dream of seeing the world beyond the orphanage, building a trailer with the help of a car manufacturing company. After traveling through several places, Layla decides to visit the Truffula Forest, making it her final trip, as it would become her new home.

Layla is ambivert, generally lazy, being more lively when it is something she is interested in doing. She loves playing guitar at campfire circles, gardening, painting and card games.

She can be a bit nosy, especially if she notices that someone close to her is sad, she will bother the person until they are happy.

Her favorite colors are red, black and green.

Her favorite food is Chicken Stroganoff.

Relationship with Once-ler in her history

I decided to say that they end up meeting on the same day that Once-ler arrives in the forest because I thought it would be an interesting dynamic. The first impression between the two is not exactly good, Once-ler finds her annoying for being nosy and Layla finds him annoying for being a bit grumpy. As the days go by, the two get closer, getting to know each other better.

Layla sees him as a good friend until one day when they sit next to the river to watch the stars, they end up talking about life. The view of each other changes, growing a feeling of passion.

Random informations

Layla was created in May 2023 and initially used my real name, but I decided to change it.

She loves striped clothes, so her wardrobe is very striped.

Your Trailer cost a lot because it was assembled from scratch. Inside it has all the rooms of a house, even having a little clutter room to put things you don't use as much.

In this universe Once-ler doesn't "become" the Greed-ler, so yes, a happy ending for everyone.

She is Lorax's best friend, having several philosophical conversations with him in the middle of the night.

Her hair is natural red.

She doesn't like Once-ler's family because of the idea of deforestation and because Once-ler's mother looked at her the wrong way when she saw her for the first time.

She has a stuffed pink bunny that was given to her by her mother when she was a baby, and she still takes care of it.

Once-ler likes to teach Layla how to knit, even though she is terrible at it.

She helps Once-ler sell the Thneeds in the city.

Introduction: Mya comes from an affluent political family. Her mother is the Chief Medical Advisor to a dictator. Desperate for her mother's approval, she attempts to follow in her footsteps and become a doctor. Unsatisfied, her mother arranges a loveless marriage between Mya and a Cabinet member's son, Ryan Davis. On their honeymoon, she learns of Ryan's affiliation with a rebellion. Earning the trust of the rebellion's leader, Desdemona, she joins as a medic and is partnered with a mercenary named Ryker.

Introducing... another Rook de Riva

Because I can't get enough of the Crow's, both the fics I'm working on feature a de Riva. This particular fic is set 10 years after the events of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The story started brewing when I saw a specific fan art from @naariel (linked below), and it kept running from there. I've put a lot of time into writing "Perfectly Gathered Clouds of Doom" recently, so I wanted to pause that one to work on "The Titans' Calling" a bit more, so I'll be sharing those chapters here as well as PGCOD.

BUT before I start sharing chapters from TTC... let's meet Xeraphina de Riva!

1. Where in Thedas is your Rook from?

Seleny, Antiva

2. What is your character’s alignment?

Chaotic Neutral. She truly cares for no man's laws but her own.

3. Race and subclass?

Elf Rogue - Veil Ranger to be specific

4. If your Rook was a companion, where would they be found?

Picking fights at a tavern or running games with the drunks

5. What emotion did they usually pick?

Sarcasm, occasionally stoic.

6. What companions are they platonically close with?

She found Bellara completely endearing and adopted her immediately. She became the sister that she never had.

7. Romantically close with?

At first, she flirted with Davrin and Lucanis, though the chemistry between her and Lucanis was stronger due to their ~history~. He decided she deserved better than him, however, and "let her go" (his words). So she found comfort with Davrin instead. She spent the next ten years with him until he left for his Calling, when Lucanis came in to pick up all the broken pieces (at Davrin's behest).

8. Who are they suspicious of?

Everyone immediately except Harding and Bellara. She trusted Harding because Varric did and Bellara was just too innocent of a flower to ever warrant suspicion.

9. Does your Rook get along with their chosen Faction?

Yes.

10. Are they proficient in playing any instruments?

No, but she did discover a talent for singing while she traveled around Thedas with Davrin.

11. Weapon of choice?

She enjoys her daggers and knives.

12. What is their orientation?

Pansexual.

13. What are their thoughts on killing? Is it a necessary evil or do they enjoy it?

She has no opinion on killing, having grown up as a Crow.

14. What hobbies does your Rook have?

She picked up singing after defeating the Evanuris, but prior to that she was an avid gambler (still is honestly). She’s a master of any game you throw at her.

15. What NPCs do they like? Which one’s do they dislike?

She prefers the ones who don’t talk back: Manfred and Assan. Of the ones you can converse with, she and Teia are very close while Viago is like the older brother she never had nor really wanted. He’s taught her a great many things, but she wishes he’d let up a little.

16. Do they have a favorite creature in the Thedas?

Birds. Particularly falcons. She’s constantly wondering what it would be like to fly.

17. Do they enjoy life as an adventurer?

During her Veilguard years she was a bit too preoccupied to determine whether or not she liked it, but when she and Davrin set out on the road, recruiting for the Wardens and helping quell darkspawn unrest, she found that she quite enjoyed life on the road.

18. What would your Rook be doing if they weren’t recruited by Varric?

After being sent on her sabbatical, she had one goal: revenge. She wanted to avenge Lucanis’ death by taking out the Venatori that had captured and killed him. She was on her way to hunt them down in Minrathous when Varric found her. If she hadn’t met Varric, she likely would have stumbled upon – and eventually joined – the Shadow Dragons, using their resources to get her revenge.

19. How do you think they would meet their end?

Fighting til the very end. Xera isn’t one to give up easily.

20. Would they side with Solas or fight him?

She wanted to fight him soooooooo badly. She wanted to hate him. The only reason she didn’t trick him was because of Inquisitor Lavellan and their request to try and reason with him. She saw how much she loved him and how much she believed in him, and that convinced her to put her trust in the elven woman. Without Lavellan, she would have tricked him into bonding himself to the Fade.

21. What is your Rook’s favorite ability?

A Thousand Cuts

22. What languages is your character fluent in?

Antivan, Antiviano (the southern dialect of Antiva – thanks to Viago), Common Tongue

23. What do they do after an absolute crisis?

Drink and shut down to process. It’s what she did after the murder of Dante Balazar, it’s what she did after she was sent away from Treviso, it’s what she did after she saved Treviso, and it’s what she did after Weishaupt. After saving Treviso, however, Davrin started joining her and helped her process what happened. It’s part of what drew them closer.

24. Does your character believe in the afterlife?

Not at all. She believes in this life, and this life only.

25. What specialization best represents your Rook?

Duelist. She trusted no one but her blades for the longest time.

26. What animal best represents your Rook?

A falcon. Quick, accurate, sharp eye.

27. What was their life like before the events of Veilguard?

Xera’s life began on the steps of House Balazar in Seleny, left there as an infant by a mother she would never know. She grew up without knowledge—or desire—to learn about either of her parents. The only family she ever recognized was the House, and the only life she ever knew was that of a Crow.

From childhood, she was trained in acrobatics and archery. In her adolescence, she learned the art of daggers and the intricacies of human anatomy. By young adulthood, she was mastering swordplay. At seventeen, she received her first solo contract—just two weeks before she joined her Talon at a gathering on Verdant Isle. It was there that tragedy struck: Dante, along with three other Talons, was murdered.

After the carnage, Teia Cantori—the Seventh Talon and Dante’s former lover—extended an invitation for Xera to join her house in Treviso. Xera didn’t accept right away. She returned to House Balazar, only to find it fallen to a rival house. Rather than submitting to them, she fled north, seeking Teia in Treviso.

At the Cantori Diamond, she met Viago de Riva. He took a liking to her almost immediately and offered her a place in his house. Though he acknowledged her as a full Crow, he hesitated to send her on solo assignments. First, she needed rigorous training in poisons and time to build her resistance. For five years, she worked exclusively with him.

One contract brought her into the company of Teia and Viago once more—alongside Illario and Lucanis Dellamorte. She had crossed paths with the latter two before but never worked closely with them. Illario was warm, flirtatious, and full of charm, but Xera never took the bait. Lucanis, by contrast, was reserved, even distant—qualities she found made him easier to work with. Easier, even, than Viago.

After the mission, Lucanis began frequenting the Diamond. He told Teia and Viago that Caterina wanted him to foster stronger ties between the houses—a gesture of unity. But Viago wasn’t fooled. He noticed Lucanis spending most of his time with Xera. Watching their bond grow, Viago began to worry. Xera was already a rising star, catching the attention of rival houses eager to use her against him. A public association with the grandson of the First Talon would only paint a bigger target on her back.

Viago appealed to Lucanis’ sentimentality—and his trauma. The pain of losing his entire family, save for Illario and Caterina, still haunted him. So Lucanis stepped away. The excuse he gave Xera was simple: Caterina had entrusted him with a critical contract in Tevinter, one that would keep him away for months, perhaps a year or more. Xera accepted it with grace, but inwardly, she pined.

To distract her, Viago began assigning her solo contracts. But a shift in her behavior soon became apparent. Xera had grown bolder—more direct, less discreet. Even when a mission offered a bonus for subtlety, she often forfeited it. Her lack of discretion sparked arguments between her and Viago, who watched her with increasing concern.

Things worsened when word arrived that Lucanis had been captured—and killed—by the Venatori. Something in Xera broke. Her work grew reckless. She left messes behind. Collateral damage no longer mattered. The night she slaughtered the Antaam slavers was a breaking point. She’d just argued with Viago and needed to vent. She had no idea she’d disrupted a larger plan.

Summoned before Viago, Teia, and Caterina, she was blindsided by the decision to send her on sabbatical. The sentence sent her into a downward spiral. She fought, drank, and gambled her way to Tevinter, hunting the Venatori with a singular, violent purpose.

But before she could find them, Varric found her.

He offered her a new target—Solas. And a promise: they’d take down Venatori along the way.

28. Is your character the de facto leader of the party? Or do they consider someone else to be the leader?

She understood the weight of rank and showed deference to Varric’s command when he was still able to give it. But when he told her it was her turn to lead—that the team needed her—she accepted the role without hesitation. Leadership came naturally to her, or so she thought. It wasn’t until she realized she hadn’t actually been speaking to Varric that doubt crept in. Had she been lying to herself about how ready she was? A part of her had sensed the truth all along—that he wasn’t truly there—but she chose not to see it. That willful denial made her question her judgment, and whether she truly had what it took to lead.

29. If you could choose a different faction for your Rook , which one would they have joined and why?

Xera was born into the Crows, so she’s never thought of being anything else until she was sent away. Her need for revenge was leading her to Minrathous before Varric found her. If she’d been able to reach her destination, she would have eventually joined the Shadow Dragons because of their resources and access to the Venatori.

30. What’s your favorite thing about your Rook?

Her capacity to love. She didn’t really have one before she joined Varric’s team, but through building a team she learned to open up and has come to better understand what it means to be a part of a found family.

❝ Kalani Akana-Chen was decidedly not like most of the other teen residents of the Palm Woods. For one, they weren’t the product of a so called stage parent, pushy and overbearing and wanting their child to be successful at any cost whatsoever; their dad was very laid-back and supportive as a parent, having been behind Kalani’s dreams of pop-punk stardom the whole way, having willingly moved the two of them to Los Angeles and done his best to get them far with their music while still grieving his poor wife, who had died when Kalani was eight. On top of that, Kalani simply didn’t fit the sunny and pretty vibe that most people out here had - with their died hair, colourful makeup, and outfits straight off an Avril Lavigne album cover, they definitely tended to stick out like a sore thumb among their Palm Woods peers.

Logan Mitchell didn’t really fit the mould of a Los Angeles teenager reaching for entertainment stardom, either. Though he had to admit that living at the Palm Woods and being part of a boy band with his best friends was turning out to be fun, it certainly wasn’t what he’d envisioned for himself - heck, he’d been dreaming about being a doctor since he was just a little kid, and though he hadn’t really given up that ambition, it was definitely on the back burner for a bit. And even besides that, he wasn’t any good at interacting with people the way his friends were. He wasn’t endearing like Carlos or a cool guy like James or even charmingly down-to-earth like Kendall; he was painfully awkward, especially around pretty people, and he went on nerdy rambles that even his lifelong pals didn’t like to listen to, and because of that nothing ever really… worked out for him in the social department, much less the romantic one.

Due to all of these facts, it almost feels like a miracle when Kalani winds up getting pulled into the almost daily shenanigans of Big Time Rush and they and Logan connect. Suddenly, Logan has someone who is actually fascinated by his nerdy talk, and Kalani has someone who always brings a host gift for their dad when he comes over for dinner and actually does research on alternative culture to understand their look rather then giving them weird glances for it. They almost seem like a match made in Heaven… but of course, nothing is ever simple at the Palm Woods, life and relationships always getting into big messy tangles, and there is a very good chance that Kalani and Logan’s story will end in a big time disaster before it ever truly gets started. ❞

about the author:

hi! i'm alexi (he/she/they), and i decided to make this blog for the simple fact that these bastards took over my life, so i had a LOT of material scattered around my blogs that was getting out of hand. the first phase of idealization of BB began back in 2020 and i started writing down the first chapter in 2023. from that point, i understood that this is my calling, this is what i want to make a living off of: telling stories, wether through novels or comics.

My Gf recommended that I talk about my ocs SOO I decided on drawing all of the main ones I could

OK so. There's 4 universes. The grow a demon one, the one with Juno as the mermaid, clouds, and then Avelina's rock band one.

The grow a demon one is ESSENTIALLY about a lot of dark subjects (tw) but to dumb it down its basically factory created demons who submit to their humans. (This is probably my most thought-out oc lore that started out as a joke)

The merman one is basically a gay coming of age love story with some dark family subjects (tw) so they run away together and eventually it ends in heartbreak (oopsiesss)

The avelina one is just about this little Latina emo falling in love with this tuff guy and introducing him to her band. Just some tomfoolery and drama between them

Then clouds is just a weirdcore lil silly guy who I'd draw whenever I disassociate. Haven't figured out much so he's in his own category. He goes to different places where his hair serves different uses and gets led around by eyeballs that are deemed untrustworthy, but they're just silly ok!!

If you want any more info or drawings of my ocs, I'll TOTALLY do it. (Oh yeah the hearts indicate if the characters are currently dating or will) they all have their own little stories and tidbits so I hope ppl care maybe?

archie sullivan, RAF pilot of the lancaster bomber, and his best friend, maggie reid, a WAAF mechanic, had been stationed at thorpe abbotts for almost a year when their world is shaken up by the arrival of the USAAF 100th bomb group. archie spends most of his time avoiding his father's correspondence and finding new ways to annoy his best friend, but an evening at their local changes everything when he catches the eye, and interest, of major bucky egan.

Holy heck, I meant to finish this piece months ago. I actually had most of it done, but when I got to the flower border, I just kinda put it down and didn't touch it for such a long time. I bothered to actually finish it yesterday! Let's introduce this guy.

After struggling to have their firstborn, Julian, Victor and Vivian were told by their family physician that the odds of having another child were slim to none. This held true for a number of years, as Vivian's fertility troubles persisted. Ten years later, however, she miraculously carried a second son to term. Although small, Adam was otherwise healthy. Vivian was overjoyed.

Growing up, Adam faced a mountain of expectations, often compared to the accomplishments of Julian. He was expected to follow much the same path and reach the same success, but with every passing day, the gap between them yawned ever wider. Victor demanded no less than perfection. Unfortunately, perfection is a lot to ask of a child. Although he was smart, Adam struggled academically, preferring his more active sword training over book learning. Ultimately, he would learn what he needed to, but not without a great deal of clashing with tutors.

Like Julian, Adam's parents arranged his future marriage while he was still young. His betrothed was a noble girl, Eliza Greyswallow, who was close in age to him. However, the two of them seldom got along when they were pushed to spend time together. Eliza was attention seeking and prone to jealousy, pushing Adam to spend more time with her twin brother Elliott, who he shared more interests with. Adam complained to Julian and close family friend, Ivan, constantly about how frustrating he found Eliza, only for his brother to tell him to simply try and indulge her. Ivan was more sympathetic to his plight, but couldn't interfere on the Trueblades' business.

When Adam turned 10, he began his training to become a Law Paladin, which required further combat training as well as more intensive legal study. He was expected to take the Paladin's Oath when he became 18, however that was never to happen.

As his 18th birthday drew near, with the suffocating promise of his oath and marriage closing in, Adam acted out. He started cheating on Eliza, seeking the company of other women, until he was eventually caught. This wiped Lord Greyswallow into a rage, and he berated Adam personally in front of his parents before demanding the engagement be called off (against Eliza's wishes). Soon after, Adam refused to take the oath, which further upset Victor. Years of training had gone to waste, or so he claimed.

After that, Adam left home on a quest of self discovery in the company of Ivan. Soon thereafter, they picked up Gregory, Jacqueline, and Eric into their group. He's left with a lot of deep seated guilt and insecurity over his decisions, and finds himself often drawn between trying to be his own person and seeking reconciliation with his father, who he keeps limited contact with.

Other Tidbits:

*I wrote Hetero-flexible, but technically Adam's only ever been with women. The thought of sleeping with a man doesn't normally cross his mind, but it doesn't repulse him either when it does. He also has a very hetero-normative world view because of his upbringing.

*Adam's not very vocal about his self doubts, and often over compensates by not giving himself time to reflect on them at all. This comes across as him being reckless and hotheaded.

*Adam keeps a diary. He squirrels it away in different hiding spots because he doesn't want people pawing through it.

*While Adam and Julian aren't on bad terms, they aren't especially close. Julian is more forgiving than Victor, but is still highly critical of Adam's actions.

*Adam doesn't play piano much anymore. Most of his current company is unaware he ever did. However, he used to love it.

Though, that never happens. Running a facility full of subjects under the influence of alien elements is harder than expected.
