i dont ever post my own shit but im thinking about magnus protocol so hard. i dont know if anyone else has made these connections yet so please dont come at me too hard.

i DO know people have drawn connections to these cases and the monkeys paw, and im building off of that. i know this most recent statement seems to draw most to the fears, ie slaughter violin, but i still dont think the TMA fears, smirke's 14(/15) exist here at all. i think it is ALL desire.

case 1.1 - lover wanted their partner to come back. partner does come back, or "some of him". they got what they wanted, but not really. got it back wrong

case 1.2 - redcanary wanted to explore the magnus ruins, wanted pictures, wanted to figure out what was going on in there. we all know what happened to redcanary, at least enough to assume they figured it out and then Paid The Price

case 2 - she wanted to be perfect, she wanted something about her to be perfect, she wanted the tattoo, she wanted to fix the parts of herself that werent "right"

case 3 - he wanted his partner back (again) he wanted to live happily and for a long time with her, he wanted to escape what he had done

case 4 - he wanted to shed the shackles of his family, make something of himself, be a musician, be famous, and was willing to do whatever it took to get to that point

i think, i THINK, if we stop trying to categorize this as fear and start thinking of it more as desire, MAYBE gwen isnt as much of a red herring as i, at least personally, thought. she wants nothing more than to be in lena's position, and lena has told her, literally, she "doesn't have what it takes"

alice. alice is a fun one. i think she was the most well-adjusted in the OIAR because she didn't have, or at least didnt act, on any specific desire. but she is now. alice's desire is all about keeping sam safe, showing him it's better to NOT have desires about the job.

how did she get access to a security notification that didnt go to someone with adequate clearance?

btw my current ocs that im drawing and thinking abt a lot r tv head furry and security camera beaste and neither of them have names but they do have a cult clasic horror movie with a really trashy sequel in my head. i am far more concernee abt what to name these movies so i can make posters than what to name rhe characters.

basically the fjrst one tv head is living its life i think like. whike it is robot furry land world it doesnt need to come out exactlt, it is just being more open and like whatts the word. brave? abt being a lesbian. kissikg girls all the time!! but then... fucking. security camera beast is staring and watching all the time especially when itd trying to have like nice normal cosy relationship stuff with women. so ofc it gets homoeroticallt obsessed with the security camera a bit. eventually theres some sort of black out in their area and the actual fucking horror movie chase scenes begin. theyre trying to kill each other for real!!! obviously the security camera one is usually more of the victim but like there r scenes for both of them almost dying. im going back and forth on having there be a little ghemeing of cannibalism bcus on one hand it is interesting to connect it with voyuerism specifically, consumption through viewing someone stalker style but also augh. theres so much canniablism. theres also a lot of voyuerism bcus tma is popular but this is way less abt society and the panopticons judgment and way more abt like internalised bullshit? idk it feels different from how most ppl comceptualise it as a horrot thing on tumblr. i guess bcus im being way more gay abt it. znyway. eventuwlly tv head kills security camera and tries to go back to its normal life but it mever was normal<3 it was always a weird gay freak<3 and its like. you thought u were killing yhe embodiement of your shame but u cant just wipe it out like that!you shouldve tried to make out with the security camera come to terms with it and tried to move past it you vant just gkrcefully get rid of it! but u tried and now u have to be boring again even tho u know ur not.

movie two did NOT fucjing understand the themes of shame and voyuerism and trying to be in control of yourself and your desires in the first movie in anything but the most surface level but it understood the security camera was supposed to be hot. portrays it in a completely different way tho. tv head is recharacterised a bit as a guy who just kills people for fun. it gets a new office job and its boss is a security camera head office lady who is sooo mean to tv head guy who is like teehee wow. alsoand and killing. its coworkers. not sure what the ending will be? leaning towards office lady being some sorta final girl, slowly warming up to tv head but unaware that it ss the murderer until the last moment, and then it breaks her heart anf tv head gets hit by a car or smth idk...

btw these movies woulf be what im describing them as. cult classic and trashy sequel. in objrctum furry world not like in the real world GSGSGSG

ok so u know like back in the gravity falls fandom there was that really popular au called monster falls where everybody got turned into some sort of monster/mythological creature? i fucking love that scenario and have been making my own little “everybody gets cursed by a witch or something so now i get to draw these fun designs” aus for like everything i like (never did it w tma oddly enough? good inspo just never struck.) so here.......is..........this. not everybodys pictured here but go under the cut for a list of what everybody is plus some extra notes and stuff

ashes - OKAY HONESTLY STILL NOT 100% ON ASHES im THINKING half-dragon. yes i know i already went dragon for them in the furry au its just a good fit and also looks Cool, but also waiting out to see if i can think of anything better

brian - CENTAURRRR also again. yes. i know i went 4 horse for him in the furry au. its just good and has fun brian vibes. wanting to draw centaur brian was the thing that led to this au happening

ivy - ELDRITCH SOMETHIN OR OTHER...idk what youd call that exactly. but you get the gist. cosmic horror, eyes, unfathomable patterns and things. doing the deep dream stuff for her in that picture was very fun and im very happy w how it came out...definitely something to revisit in the future. not sure how i wanna draw her when...not doing a whole colored digital thing, but well cross that bridge when i can draw again

jonny - he’s. he’s a devil? a little demon guy? like. yeah. of course. this guy was fucking meant to have little wings horns and a cute little demon heart tail. he has somehow become MORE bastardly

marius - VAMPIRE MARIUS ONCE AGAIN HES JUST FUN. hes just fun and the aesthetic suits him. i cant wait to draw him in a fun little cape with one of those big dramatic collars you know the ones. vampire marius is of course @ alientoastt’s idea!!

nastya - BANSHEE...or ghost in general but there some banshee stuff i feel could be fun to integrate. apparently in some tellings banshees can turn into crows? i love that very much. but anyways hmm..some notes abt the design in thsi post shes not quite where i want her to be. this was done on that collab canvas the other day and like...was mostly noodling things out having fun, those flamey looking bits are a very nice motion very fun to do but NOT wwhat i want for ghostya. i want her to be more. drippy. very drowned person vibes. fire and upward-floating motif not what i want. but it was fun to draw. also i think theres some potential comedy in there with “person who predicts deaths” among crew who habitually murder each other

raphaella - SOMEWHERE BTWN HARPY & SIREN (the bird kind not the mermaid kind) very excited abt her. lots of fun potential poses here. doing her design was a bit tricky- sirens tend to be just like- big birds with human heads? but i didt wanna do just that that takes away too much of her design recognizbility yknow to Just have her head. so she has a people torso, bird from the waist down, plus her arms are wings. which means she has Two pairs of wings. which i for one think is incredibly fun like you remember in httyd2 valka’s dragon w the four wings? yeah. also avent figured what bird in particular shell be based on- for the ufrry au i went w african grey parrot but dont feel like that here. ill think on it

tim - WEREWOLF TIM DUH. DUH. also i think werewolves are especially funny in scenarios like thse cus like- okay everybody suddenly ahhh cursed ahh monster whatever. but then tims just there like. i mean i feel fine lol and u get to have the fun surprise of Oh Suddenly Werewolf. also the question of how exactly werewolves who change based on the moon function in a. spaceship. i like to think its entirely fucking random i think thats funny

TS - ANIMATED SUIT OF ARMOR!! I DONT HAVE MUCH MORE TO SAY ON THSI BUT I LOVE . THIS IDEA. and i will never draw it. because fuck drawing and designing armor oh my god

anyways i think thats??? all i have to say on this??? agdvjdkb. if you wanna talk about this at all (or if u wanna see more doodles...) im totally open to that. ill be real i get weirdly embarrassed about specifically this kind of au (like. monster stuff in general especially werewolf/vampire stuff i could not fucking tell you why. gotten better abt it over time though hey im actually postin this shit!) so im just happy i posted it afhcgvjdkvdg .

as for story type things like how. this happens. frankly i dont know thats not my forte. but the little bit of whatever ive got going on my head has the Terrific Trio of ivy marius & raphaella doing Research Science Whatever down on a planet somewhere get into contact with a Cursed Artifact or whatever the fuck and eventually get back to the aurora like. oh. uh. it happened to you guys too, huh. but thats like whatever honestly im not in it for the writing im here to draw fun centaur man etc.

grey, black, lavender, erin, mauve

grey: how many languages do you speak? do you want to learn any more? i know english and took 3 years of spanish classes in high school but i have not retained much of it :’) however i would really like to learn asl!! 

black: would you ever try going vegetarian or vegan? nah, at least not entirely vegetarian and definitely not vegan. im allergic to every type of nut so my protein options would be so small and im not eating beans for the rest of my life and i like eggs too much for that (also i get why some people are but so many vegans are like “honey is abuse but ill use slave-labor agave“ and like,,yikes). 

HOWEVER for the past several months i tried to cut as much meat out of my diet as i could because... well, it happened one week in february after i binged the first 4 seasons of tma (this is relevant) and i was making a sandwich and something in my brain just like. snapped and i looked at the lunch meat and all i could think was “MEAT” and i suddenly felt super ill and nauseous. so up until recently looking at meat (especially raw meat) and eating it made me nauseous and i still dont really know why it happened?? but im fine now i just ate a chicken avocado club for lunch today and it was delicious....moving on..

lavender: relationship status? it is taking so much self control to not put “single as a pringle” as an answer even ironically but single is the answer, curse you 2014 tumblr

erin: what was/is your best school subject? art for sure, although of the “core” subjects i was pretty good with history and english (except for the essays)

mauve: any unpopular opinions?  the unpopularness of this depends on who sees it but i kinda cant stand a lot of basic popular art trend stuff. i dont want to sound like some pretentious snoot because these people are just having fun and thats totally fine and im not stopping them but every time i see those prismacolor drawings of arianna grande or slightly-parted lips or the back of a white girl’s braid or those goddamn sunset/galaxy chalk pastel backgrounds with black silhoutetted figures i want to scream
