#im in the local gay mens chorus and we are currently discussing saftey precautions for our concert this weekend#you know. in case someone tries to hate-crime us at a Christmas concert in a church.#because that is a real and reasonable concern for our group to have.#hhh I really hate this feeling I’ve been having lately where it’s like.#being loud and unashamed and part of my community is the only thing keeping me alive but it might also be the thing that kills me. ya know?#anyway. our pastor said he doesn’t really expect anything awful to happen this is all worst case scenario prep#and I’m still very excited for the concert it’s gonna be a lot of fun and I am not going to die. i am not going to die. i refuse.#2pm in the morning#vent#homophobia mention
