✿ Episode Six ✿ : This is youth.

It’s finally Stray Kids blog content time!

I think many STAY’s have come across this by now and a lot of people have been posting about it so, I’m not the first but I’m gonna waffle about it.

Their concert that took place two days ago in Seoul, Chris was talking about their song Social Path and the line “Gave up my youth for my future”. I’ve put the clip below but the translation (as provided by spearhyunnie) is:

Changbin: Hyung-nim, this is youth. Don’t think of it as giving up your youth. You’re just living in a dream that can’t be bought.

The reason I’m waffling talking about this is because what Changbin said is more true than he realises, or maybe he does realise. He was able to say what Chris really needs to hear and what STAY hope he knows. He can continue to live out his youth, it's not too late.

They’re all only in their twenties with Chris being the oldest; turning 26 in October. Not only do they have so much more time in their lives left to live but also, their time as “adults” hasn’t been that long either. If you’re considered an adult as 18, Chris is only an 8 year old adult from that perspective and Jeongin is only a 5 year old adult. They’re still in the prime of their youth.

I do think it’s important to consider the impact that working from such a young age, especially for Chris, would've had. They didn't live a traditional youth, in many means of the term, but they still have time to curate those experiences.

Considering the fact that most people don’t know what they want to do with their life until much later on, and some people never fully figure it out, I think Skz have done well to get to where they are today and still be having fun with it. They’ve achieved so much already that they have every right to connect more fully with their youth. To many people, they are living the dream - to have achieved so much at such a young age.

They sacrificed years of their life to get where they are but they are still young with the ability to live out their youth for a long time. For example, elderly people who travel a lot or engage in more “youthful” activities are considered to be “full of youth”. It’s not something that you can easily lose but rather something that you find throughout life.

Youth isn’t an age, it’s a type of experience. Youth is living to your fullest, being full of wonder and hope and excitement. Skz are still full of that and they will continue to be; but so should we.

I do think it can be a privilege to be full of youth. When you have a lot of responsibilities and stress, it’s not easy to have and in that sense, it’s easy to see how Chris gave up the youth of his teens to create his future with Skz. However, I think that people should try to retain their youth when possible because “This is youth.” Living and experiencing new things, getting excited and being full of hope for the future; that is youth, and it’s a very important thing to have.

This concert is the very first one where you’d perform your newest album, all the songs that you’d held so close to your heart finally getting their own time to shine and be heard. However, that wasn’t the reason you were nervous, they knew why but tried their best to not mention it.

The real reason was currently sitting in the VIP section near the stage, fidgeting with his phone and bickering with Beomgyu.

“Babe, if you end this concert and decide you don’t want to talk to him anymore, just know I’ll do everything in my power to help you sneak out, or if you do want to talk to him still I’ll make sure Keeho and Sunwoo don’t ease drop. “Thank you. I honestly appreciate you all for this, I know my past with Soobin is basically what got me here now but I just can’t go on and continue this way if I don’t get closure from him. I need to tell him how I feel and get that ending I deserve because if I don’t, I can’t see myself ever moving on seriously. No matter what he says to me today, I know it’ll bring me closure and I can finally have this weight lifted off my shoulders. I need to do this for me.”

Yeji nods smiling even wider, she’s waited for this for a long time, having known Soobin back when you were all friends, she always had an inkling there was more to his story but stayed true to you as a best friend, she only hopes now that she’s right and he can finally give you the closure you deserve.

Just before heading on stage, Sunwoo stops, never being one to be so vulnerable around others he takes the opportunity of just you two to turn and talk, “I’m really proud of you, and I know I don’t say that a lot, or like in a serious tone, but I really am proud of you. I know you’re nervous because this is your first big show but trust me you’re going to do so good. No joke, I don’t think I have ever seen anyone more right to do what you do. Good luck and just remember that I am always here for you, if you need me just look to your right, I’ll be there for anything. I love you, go have fun out there.” And at that he pats your shoulder and ushers you on stage.

Soobin’s anxiety increases as he watches you finish off the last song. The crowd is too loud, the stadium’s lights are too bright, and the feeling he’s getting now is starting to settle at the pit of his stomach.

All day he’s rehearsed what he’d say to you once you finally gave him the chance to explain but all that is forgotten now. He’s left with nerves and fidgeting hands as he and the boys walk down the long hallway to get to the backstage area.

The first person he sees is Sunwoo and his heart begins to pound even harder. Soobin used to be good friends with the people you’d surrounded yourself with, having met through you but both Sunwoo and Keeho had taken a liking to him and quickly he’d become like a brother to the two boys. Of course that all changed when he’d broken your heart, and Sunwoo had never gotten past that.

Soobin sense his eyes on him, he knows he’s being watched even as Taehyun and Hueningkai go in to hug Sunwoo, his eyes never leave Soobin.

Before he can even speak up he’s cut off by another one of your friends, Yeji.

She turns to the group of boys standing next to Soobin and nods her head in the other direction, they get the hint quickly and walk away, leaving Soobin alone.

The door to Y/N’s dressing room is slightly ajar, almost as if it’s already inviting Soobin to walk in, but he still knocks out of respect, mainly though because he’s too scared to open the door himself.

A small, “Come in,” sends his mind back ten steps, is he really ready to do this? Will you actually believe what he has to say? He can’t be sure of the outcome until he tries, so he takes that leap, and opens the door, walking through it straight to you.

As you sit in front of Soobin, his hands begin to pick at the skin around his nailbeds, they turn pink and red staining them as he digs deeper and deeper, you fight the urge to pull his hands away from one another, this is a habit he’s possessed for a long time.

“You did really great up there by the way, just wanted to make sure I told you that,” Soobin speaks first, his words are fast and flustered but sincere.

“Oh, wow thank you. I appreciate that.” You’re surprised to hear your voice sound so small, it’s never like this.

“I’m really nervous right now, do you want to go first or should I?” He’s picking at his nails again.

“You should go first. I think I’d like to hear what you have to say.”

The breath he’s holding in is finally let out and he nods at you, and then slowly he descends into what he told the boys just a few weeks earlier.

“When I told you that night after lowkey was released that I couldn’t give you a real relationship I think I meant it, but not because I wasn’t committed to you, more so because I knew I wanted to be able to provide for you, to be there when you needed me but in all honesty I couldn’t do that. I wasn’t happy with myself yet, I wasn’t taking care and consideration of my own person so I wasn’t confident that I would be able to do that for you. That was my own fault though, you always made me feel like I was enough Y/N but truthfully I could never believe in it because I didn’t believe in myself.”

He lets out a sigh and moves closer to you, placing his hand on your own, he wants you to face him, see him eye to eye.

“I loved you, I think a part of my actually still loves you. I know that night when we fought I lied to you, I told you I was seeing someone else, but that wasn’t true I only ever wanted you, I can prove it if you need me to, and I know I told you I wasn’t ready, that much was true but what I should have also said was that I wanted to grow and be ready for you. I should have told you that if you could just wait a bit longer, I would grow to be ready. I knew asking you to wait was horrible because you’d do it, and I couldn’t do that to you, I couldn’t hold you back. I needed to work and grow, but you’re kind and you loved me and I knew you’d wait. I’m ready now, I know it’s been a long time but I’m ready now, and I’m sorry I put you through so fucking much. You have every right to tell me no and to just leave me right now but I do thank you for giving me the time to explain myself. I love you sincerely.”

The look in his eyes is enough to tell you he’s telling the truth, and a small feeling runs through you at his touch. His fingers rub the back of your hand cautiously, gently soothing you as you prepare to speak up.

“I’ve hated you for a long time. Recently I learned though that it wasn’t hate I felt for you, it was longing. I longed to be part of your life, to be the girl you said you’d been seeing, to be the person you wanted. I longed to have you in my life the I had you in the past. i just got back from watching the eclipse at my school! I didnt get any pictures but it was a huge gathering with food and music and stuff it was very nice. Kids and dogs running around too very cute. Afterwards my sisters friend who knows practically everyone in the entire world introduced us to two brony girls (pegasisters..LMFAOOO) and got their insta and talked for a while. So im very happy with that cause they’re really nice. And even if its just for today im so glad i got to talk to a bunch of people 😸 then a bunch of us went to get smoothies..! Today is making me feel like a real person again i wont lie. LMFAOOO <3

Not too many big things going on.. Lately my life has been pretty boring i wont lie im just very exhausted a lot of the time. Now that its a little warmer and sunny these days though im more motivated to go outside to my usual spots and engage in my outside hobbies. Yeah you’re right it’s very hard to come across anything cause the fandom is so small lol 😭😭 but I would recommend this channel their compilations are great <33 apart from them there isn’t really other active walwals :(( and they only last uploaded a year ago so I can’t even really say they are active. but their old videos are great!!

he seriously is the best :( everything about him is so mom coded like he cooks for the members, he’s very caring towards walwals, and I find it really endearing that he likes zumba lol I believe he did it on live for walwal to join him once(?). Since he went to school for applied chemical engineering (I believe that was his degree or smth very similar) he’s very smart in the stem fields. But he’s always been very musically focused and he’s recorded a lot of OSTs even before lucy. But I’d love to tell you a bit more about the members and their personalities and give you some recommendations for what to listen to!!! I’m about to see Lucy in concert in 3 days (save me I might pass away) so I’m very excited. I’ve been a walwal for about 2 years now :(

Yechan, despite being the leader, is definitely the most playful member. He’s chaotic and loud and carefree and he’s really just like a child sometimes. He says he’s mature but like… he’s not and we love him for that lol. I’m pretty sure he only ended up being the leader because he’s the oldest lol. not that he’s not a good leader but Wonsang definitely has more musical direction and leadership within the group than yechan. You can see in lucy videos if you watch them, yechan is just adorable.

Sangyeop like we’ve talked about is super caring. And his nickname is yeopmom like skjdks but still very playful and funny just like all the lucy members <33

Wonsang is the baby :( to me :( to them :( to everyone :( he is the most vital member to the group given that he produces and writes majority of their music. He basically has the say in what sound they’re gonna do each comeback, the members themselves have said that they follow whatever Wonsang wants. But even tho he leads them in a way he’s very… innocent and childlike?? In a sense that the other members often worry if someone will take advantage of him because he’s so precious and kind to other people :( he also has the cutest laugh in the world definitely recommend you look up his laugh!! him along with yechan are the two cutest members by far :(

Now gwangil is tricky because he’s unpredictable lol. On one hand he’s probably the most mature member or most serious member just cause his cringe tolerance is a lot lower than the rest. He doesn’t like to embarrass himself (felt) but it’s not like he isn’t any fun. He can be very goofy and playful when in the company of the other members, and he does like to joke around just as much as them. But he still is the “makhyung” and generally giving more boomer chill vibes lmao 😭😭

As for Lucy’s music, they have such a good discography. Highly recommend you listen to all of it at some point, but for now the songs that are top priority in my mind are: snooze, haze, you’re right, farther and farther, watermelon, sequel, play, opening, ending, never in vain, and I’d also like to include their ost run to you. there’s a good mix of fun songs, anime inspired ones (Wonsang is not subtle lol), and ethereal ballads for you and these are some of my all time favourite lucy songs. They also have some solo songs in their albums which you were probably not aware of, but on the blue and childhood albums, each member has a song!! Which means there are rare times that yechan actually sings!! And I would also recommend watching their live clips for some of their songs that you can find on their channel, as well as their covers. They’ve covered a whole lot of songs and you’ll never catch them slacking truly <3

i spent an arm and a leg.. but my family helped me out cuz my birthday is in june.. i feel very grateful but it did make me feel nauseous to spend that money but there’s sooo much that comes with the vip, at least imo normal stuff i think?? like check in, first entry, the keepsake lanyard and stuff and then access to merch BUT u also get soundcheck, send off, and a limited edition gift (whatever that means) buttt my bias is wooyoung and i really really want to meet them i think it’d be so nice to just say hi to them and if i can, take a selfie with woo and then get something like a photocard signed😭 i also think i’ll still be closer on the floor than i would be in a seat even if i’m a bit further back and it’ll be fun to experience the concert with so many other atinys rather than by myself in my seat :(

Okay bbg i'm gonna be so fr with you seeing this request got me so excited i immediately started writing and hyperfocused on this until it was done.. congrats you broke through my procrastination issue. Fun fact, this post is glitched on my laptop.

Summary : Sujin forgets herself, but she has someone who reminds her.

Timeline : September 1st, 2023

Event!

Life is chaotic. Sujin’s life is chaotic. The born pink tour coming to an end, her career at an alltime high, the lingering effects of headlining so many stadiums, contract renewals happening while they’re still in America for performances, events she had to go to with her members, events she had to go to alone. All in all, she’d barely had a breather in the last months.

Truthfully, she couldn’t remember the last time she actually took her medications, wondering if she did when it was already too late and she was about to go on stage in 5 minutes. It had noticeable effect, less focus, easily distractible, what some might call too much energy, hyperfocusing on one single piece of make-up for hours which almost got her to be late on stage.

Now back in Korea, stepping into her apartment, it was the first moment of silence she’d had in months. It was kind of eerie- really. And she did not remember her medication tasting that shitty. 

The silence was too silent, which meant everything racing at her in her mind. She had things to do immediately tomorrow, last concert preparations, contract finalizing, solo preparations (why did she want to do that again already?)

There was a point at which the silence became loud, which was the final straw.

She picked her phone up from the table, scrolling through contacts.

The knock on her door didn’t take long and Sujin didn’t waste a second to open the door. 

“Hi there.” 

Sujin smiled, waving. “Hi Kal.” Sujin was one for nicknames, unoriginal ones maybe, but she always provided nicknames.

It took a moment for Sujin to correctly process, but she opened the door fully for Kalaya to step in. She hoped her medication would kick in soon or else this would be a long day.

Inka didn’t seem to mind, relieving Sujin as she closed the door behind the younger (okay, it was one year, but Sujin took as much advantage of being the unnie for once as she could). 

Inka sat down at the kitchen table wordlessy. She watched as Sujin processed before sitting across from her, barely containing a snicker.

“So.. Gocheok Sky Dome? That’s an achievement.”

Kalaya smiled, leaning back in her chair. 

Sujin huffed, giggling. “Full of those, apparently. Been a lot of those these past few months.” She hummed, taking a moment to recollect everywhere they’d been. Inka nodded. 

“So i heard.” 

Sujin bit her lip. “Did you watch any performances?”

“A few.” Kalaya responded, reaching across the table to hold Sujin’s hand. “You five did really well.”

Sujin smiled, genuine. Though still not being good at taking compliments very well, she changed the subject. “I’m happy you got your personal instagram. Now i can stop spamming the boys and spam only you instead.” 

Inka laughed, Sujin smiling at the sound. “Looking forward to it.”

A silence fell for a little while, comforting, not like the one when she’d stepped into her apartment.

Kalaya bit her lip, looking back up at Sujin. “So.. When’s the last time you ate?”

Sujin looked back, not having expecting the question.

She thought, she definitely ate day of their last concert, Rosé had dragged her out for a late night meal snack. She’d spent her last few days in L.A messing around with her members and trying out several diners and exploring. She landed back in Korea yesterday so that all amounts to..

“Yesterday morning?”

Just like Sujin hadn’t expected the question, Kalaya wasn’t expecting the answer. She took a second before answering.

“And you’re not hungry, at all?”

Sujin pat her stomach, pouting softly. “I at least haven’t noticed.” 

“Sujin..” 

“Say it.”

Inka sighed. “Sujin unnie.”

“Thank you.”

Kalaya rolled her eyes, but let Sujin bask in the honorific for a second. “You need to take care of yourself. Did you at least take your medications?” 

Sujin nodded, pointing back to the half full cup of water and the bottle of pills that she promised to herself she would clean up after texting Kalaya and then completely forgot about.

When Sujin whipped her head back around Inka already sat with her phone in hand, making Sujin tilt her head in confusion.

Inka looked up, raising a brow. “I’m ordering food, god knows you need it look at how pale you are. And i’m hungry too, it’s around dinner time anyway.” She hummed. “What would you like?” 

Sujin blinked, taking a second to let the information process before responding. “As long as it tastes good with kimchi.” 

Inka smiled. “Understood.” 

After ordering- and presumably texting if the furious typing and scoffs accompanied by a ‘oh my god Jisung.’- Kalaya put aside her phone, giving Sujin a soft smile. 

“So… did you have separate rooms, or..?” 

“We’re not having this conversation.” 

“Yes we are.”

“Okay, fine, who’s your mystery boyfriend?” 

“Okay, well you know what-”

“No no, this is an exchange now. Tell me and i’ll tell you.” 

“Fine fine, you first.” 

Sujin hummed. “No. No we did not.”

I cannot WAIT to post tomorrow's A&E update- especially since SURPRISE it's actually not the final chapter, I have decided that after everything we have put fictional!Matty through, he deserves a better final trip to A&E than to be literally shitting himself with food poisoning. The actual final chapter will be posted on the 17th- it's about three fourths of the way done and I am. very, very, very excited about it and hope y'all like it! The A&E fic has been such an amazing rollercoaster and I'm actually really sad it's going to be done!

I had a lot of fun at the concert! Thank you for asking! I know Matty was a little quieter / more subdued than normal, but they still put on a phenomenal show and he sounded incredible live - I was actually a little surprised by how good he sounded live. The set is also just so beautiful and not gonna lie... seeing Peanut in person was a 10/10 experience 😂

This concert felt so different from what I've seen before, which is admittedly not much cus I can't afford bts concerts😭, but what I mean is I feel like despite the immense pressure on the boys they all kinda looked relaxed to me, like they truly just came on stage to have fun, sing their songs and just interact with their fans, everyone kind of got hyped up about that big annoucement thinking it was gonna be about the military (which if they aren't exempted after pulling the numbers they did, then no one deserves that exemption) but it was just them reassuring everyone they still have a long way to go, like four of them said at least 10 more years and yoongi's remarks about them not being that old and all of them commenting on the news painting this break to be something else, the vibe was just different, just seems like they're kinda done with fitting into these boxes people wanna put them in and done with people trying to "dethrone" them with other 4th gen bands as if they are some old 70 year old hags when in fact they outsold everyone in the industry, sorry not a taekook ask just wanted to talk a bit about the concert, what did you think of it, did you like the setlist??

I loved it so much!!  At this point, I think I’ve seen all of the performances I missed when the streams crashed, so I’m pretty sure I’ve seen basically the whole concert, if only in bits and pieces out of order.

I felt very similarly about it honestly!  It reminded me of times when I’ve been in this mental place of like, “Well, I’ve done everything I can do to prepare for this Really Important Thing, so fuck it, I’m just going to have a good time.”  It’s a hard state to achieve, at least for me, so I’m really glad they seemed to get there for this concert, because they truly all looked like they were having the absolute best time.  It was so much fun to just watch them being excited and happy all together!

I’d love it and you’re right about this being sort of a turning point for them feeling like they can be more themselves, and more assertive about what that means.

I was a little surprised by certain elements of the setlist, but I really enjoyed it!  Obviously Run BTS was amazing and it was really cool, not to mention beautiful, getting to hear Butterfly.  Cypher Pt. 3 and Ugh were both so so good!!!  I literally cried in front of strangers after You Forever, when the audience started singing, and then they did For Youth lol.

They really did all seem so confident and relaxed, and it felt really good just to watch them be happy.  I hope the whole concert gets uploaded in full, because I’d love to be able to watch the whole thing start to finish.  If it is, I can see myself returning to this one a lot.

CONFESSION ~ How did the confession between us happen, and how do we feel about it when we look back on it?: OH- THIS damn story BEJRNDKFKF

So sometimes I like to secretly attend and watch his concerts, just so I can be supportive… and also surprise him when he eventually sees that I scored VIP tickets. Well for one concert, this lil dork decided to dedicate a song to “one of the most important people” to him, and said how “they didn’t know they were so valued by him, but he hoped they could know someday”. So naturally when I went to visit him in the aftermath, I asked him who it was, ‘cause I wanted to be a wingman typa friend!! But he got… very flustered by it, and he thought I could tell it was me by his reaction, so he decided to just tell me then and there!

The both of us think that story’s funny as hell when we recite it, though Lúcio’s still a bit embarrassed by it. Hell, I’m a little embarrassed by it too; I had no damn idea he was talking about me, but it feels so obvious now! Definitely a fun memory to retell though, that’s for sure.

HUGS ~ Are we affectionate/open about our relationship in public?: Oh absolutely! Both of our fanbases are highly aware that we’re together. We talk about it all the time & shout each other out a lot-! In like, actual public, it’s always that I’m either holding his hand or he has his arm wrapped around me, so I’d say we’re pretty open about it in general too.

ADORATION ~ How does Lúcio talk about me to other people?: With great enthusiasm, that’s for sure; he sometimes stumbles over his words because he gets so excited about it 🥺. Whenever people tell me that he’s talked about me, it’s usually him talking about something fun we did or something funny that I did recently. Sometimes they’ll tease him about it & he’ll start going off on a “well how can I NOT talk about her 🥺💖” sort of tangent. Part 10 of “5.5” years”

The Concert: in November 2022 the only friend I had at the time invited me to go with her to the Millennium tour concert with her. I jumped at the opportunity and said yes. Later on borderline regretting accepting the offer but still excited because in my mind IM GOING! I deserve to have fun too. I knew I was gonna have to ask for permission, whenever I wanted to go out or do something away from him and the house I could never say “hey I’m going here I’ll be back in a few hours” etc. I’d have to ask for permission!

I brought up the concert to him and he told me yes! I was excited and in the few weeks leading to it I had that on my mind. The day of the concert we are both home, he’s spent the majority of the day playing the game and I was in the bedroom like normal until it comes a few hours before it’s time for me to go that I begin to get ready.

He gets off the game and sees that I’m getting dressed doing my hair and makeup and asks “where you going?” …… I had a confused look and said the concert with Chantè. IMMEDIATELY we start arguing and I’m yet again in confusion because he knew where I was going and he already told me yes. I continue getting ready during the argument and at some point he leaves me be and goes in the living room and gets back on the game. I’m dressed and ready to go and as soon as I’m about to open the door to leave he says “it’s over”.

At that point we had broken up at least once every month if not a few times during the month and I was TIRED! So I just left and went to enjoy my time with my friend. He did not call or text me the entire time I was gone. I was having the time of my life, we were in the very front row at the stage so we saw everything! Every artist up close and we sung every song word for word!!! I took lots of pictures and videos like any normal person would and again ….. my phone was connected to my iPad!

IM SO GLAD YOURE GOING TO SEE MITSKI??? I’ve always wanted to see her, but she usually doesn’t come to Italy…she did come but I was seeing SKZ that day </3 I love concerts so much! Big concerts can seem scary, but if you’re seated down they’re pretty calm…if you’re standing though, it can be overwhelming at times! But to me all of that adds up to the experience. As someone who’s super autistic, they don’t feel as overwhelming as they probably should, but more…soothing. Make sure to arrive early! Even if you don’t get front row spots, it’s still an amazing experience :} I saw a lot of vids from her tour and she’s really an amazing performer, so you’ll have a great time…also, make sure to bring a lot of water!!

I understand school is so stressful and all… WhatI do when school starts, since I myself hate school and all about it, is trying to romanticise it! I try to get into these wonyougism and study stuff and feeling like an academic weapon…wether I’m failing or not! I just start to feel organized and proud of myself, but of course, that’s hard. So good luck with school!!! You’ll do well, I’m sure…

About the dysphoria thing…I really get it. Sometimes I do cave in and try to change my bodily appearance to resemble my IRL sources! Not sure how to call it. But yes, it’s really painful…I’ve started to view my human body as an “avatar” for my real self, which isn’t super satisfactory of course, but it makes me feel a bit less dysphoric. Of course, I’d love for it to be just like how I remember my soul, but for now let’s…just customise it in a fun way, like a character of some way. This might be more understood if you’re a system, which well you are…I hope I could help a bit with these words, I’m sure you need someone to hear you sometimes :} I hope you’re having a good day!!

YESYESYES IM SUPER EXCITED !!! we got the tickets at the end of last year so ive been waiting for this for so long .... it should be seated as well which is good!! ive only ever been to concerts where im able to sit its like. a requirement almost. i dont have anywhere near the stamina required to stay standing for hours on end ... and we certainly will be arriving early! portland gets crowded as HELL when there's big events, so we'll probably be taking the train in about an hour before the concert starts. and i'll for sure make sure to bring lots of water, and take my meds before leaving as well. it would suck to end up super thirsty at such a cool event !! v_v

and yeayea i get that, i wish smthn like that cld work for me </3 im just pushing through as best as i can! it's not gonna be perfect and aesthetic but i think thatll be alright. the only course im worried about really is credit recovery for math, since i really need to do well with it or ill get kicked out of online school for real which is. very scary!! i feel the best mentally when im able to do my work at my own pace at home, so i'd hate to have to go back to in person school for the last semester of my high school life ...

and that makes sense, yeah! i typically see this body as just an avatar anyways, considering i see this reality as another iteration of the neo world program. its really comforting and can help me with some of the worst of it, but even still, it feels like playing a character very unlike yourself in a video game if that makes sense? there's a dissociation inherent to it. even though this is my avatar that i can customize however i want, the sliders aren't perfect, and the only options, while cool, are more aesthetically pleasing than affirming.

It does!!! There's no one else who can write anything remotely similar to hers and I think that is so incredible!!! We see so many songs that are so similar in so many different way nowadays everywhere, but there isn't really any that can be mistaken for hers. She's such a genius, a whole genre, so unique!!

Having siblings can be a challenge, but it's also so wonderful!

IT’LL BE YOUR FIRST?? omg you are going to have the BEST TIME!!!! Taylor has gone above and beyond with the eras tour and I’m so excited you’ll get to see it for your first Taylor show! I love that you’ll get to see her go through the eras (well except debut but we aren’t gonna talk about that one 🙃) rather than just having highlights of certain songs on a tour that’s focused on an album.

our showing isn’t until 7:30 PDT but I’m super excited bc we’re all gonna get ready together! I actually ended up driving about 4 hours to see the movie with my friends (I recently moved for my job and used to live like 20 minutes away from them lol) so I’m tired but pumped at the same time!

It is but I actually went from a big city to a more rural area back in August! I lived south of Portland for the last 7 years but moved back to the town my family lives in because I got a better job than what I had previously. I will say one perk about the small town is that it has the BEST taco truck ever so I can’t complain much! Yeah being back in the city I used to be in has been wild because I’ve forgotten how busy it gets and how bad traffic can be!

SAME! I recently saw where someone has been making the twilight saga but with muppets and let me tell you, it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time!! Long Live is such a sweet song and I legit cried when Taylor played it at my eras tour show!

yes!!! Taylor has cultivated her sound over the years and turned it into something that is so uniquely her! She also has been working with a lot of the same people over the years so it just makes it all sound so much more consistent (like Jack, Liz Rose and more recently Aaron Dessner)!

It can be! Sometimes it’s wild because my older brother and I can get mistaken for a couple (even though he’s very openly gay) and it’s always so funny when people realize we’re siblings! Mind you this happened recently too at our favourite taco truck 😂😂

she’s the absolute sweetest girl in the whole world and I’m so lucky to be her mom! Oh let me tell you, Kayla cannot be left alone around food sometimes. Once I was eating chicken nuggets and she straight up took one from my plate when I wasn’t paying attention. She has also stolen fries out of my hand when I wasn’t looking. The joys of having a rescue who was a street dog 😂 Winnie is much more well behaved in that sense but she’s definitely a talker! She’s half Siamese and loves to just talk at anyone who’ll listen to her!

I love Bea! She has this amazing sound and I really love her voice (I’m also just a damn sucker for anything that sounds like her music)! Plus she’s someone that Taylor likes as well, since she opened for the eras tour for like 12 shows, and taylor dedicated our song to Bea at her first opening show!

I LOVE GUTS SO MUCH LIKE ITS UNREAL!!!! I love sour but I feel like you could really feel the teenage angst in guts (which is my favvvvvvvv). I’m such a sucker for any music that sounds remotely like paramore - which Olivia does sound like!
