I want to first start off with that I’m not here to argue your opinion, but to just give some clarification/insight on the show.
You are entitled to your own opinion and I’m not trying to change it. I just want you to give the show another chance.
I’ve broken talking points down to sections so it’s easier to read :)
The main issue I saw that you had is that the cruise arc added nothing to the story and it was just a waste of time. However it gave a lot of insight on Yor’s character, which is something the audience had very little of up until this point. The cruise arc allowed us to see her emotional growth, since the start of the series she truly cares about the Forger Family and her role within it. The lady she was protecting (I forgot her name) allowed Yor to reflect and see what she has. It at blank told the audience that the family is no longer “just a cover” and I really appreciated seeing this side of Yor and getting to know more of her character. Is the arc long? Yes for sure, but it allows for the show not to be rushed. Then also with Twilight, you see that he cannot physically relax even for a moment and how much he is trying to make it a good vacation for Anya it tells you where he is at as a character. Then you know, love the Anya hijinks as usual but it also allows the audience to see how exactly she uses her powers to help people (in this case keeping her family together), but also where her priorities lie (she doesn’t want her family to get split apart, she cares about her family’s safety, she kinda feels bad/thinks it funny that Twilight can’t have fun). TLDR: The cruise arc allows us to see the emotional journey of the characters. Character growth if just as important as story progression.
Along the note with you not liking the ending episode of the season, someone else worded it better than I am now but it ties up the theme of role of the family. I would elaborate but I can’t word things for shit.
With all the hinting, it will come up in later episodes. I am caught up on the manga and it does address the things you wanted to know, more about. You should definitely read the manga if you want the story to go at a quicker pace, it’s not done yet however the most recent arcs have my heart and I think you’ll really like them.
I know it seems like the show is not moving fast enough, but that’s kind of the point. Operation Strix, is a long term mission so the story will be a slow burn. The show allows for messages and themes to be woven within the episodes. And as stated before emotional growth of the characters is so important to a show like SpyXFamily. But I implore you to look deeper into the show than just surface level, reading the analysis on this app made me love the show even more. I would recommend you some good accounts for analysis, but I don’t know them off the top of my head. But if you ask later, I can definitely send some.
I will not be defending the Becky episode, I was also extremely uncomfortable watching and reading it.
And again you are entitled to your own opinion, I’m not shaming you for your opinion. SpyXFamily isn’t for everyone, but I wanted to at least give you another angle.
From your criticisms, it sounds like you would like shows with a quicker pace and for that I recommend “Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood”
Also you can watch SpyXFamily on regular Hulu if you don’t want to pay for Crunchyroll premium
Hope you found this insightful and not insulting :)
Hello!
Your right in pretty much everything but let me clarify one thing. I thought I said in my post that Yors arc was the best thing about season two where there is character development. If I explained it wrong, I apologize, but the cruise arc was amazing!
Im slowly learning why Spy x Family is paced the way it is and that's because I was unaware about the Manga that is (I think?) Three seasons ahead. I just finger that since there are probably no easy way to get them in English that it would not be worth investing in at the moment (I don't know if it has been translated I'm not sure.)
So yeah, a lot of this information is new to me. I'm still invested in the story and I DO want to watch it long term...but I think waiting another year for only 12 episodes is not worth the wait if I'm being honest. And I know how that feels. I waited 9 months for Jojo part 6 (part 2) and yeah, that sucked honestly. I just think waiting a year is not worth the episode output, which is why I'm worried there going to drag this show out for much longer then they need it to be.
Full metal alchemist is on my radar, trust me. I just haven't gotten to it yet and I heard great things about it! It's just I wanted more Spy x Family because I love the concept a whole lot...but I feel like I got barely anything from the show this year and that's why it kind of stings in a sense.
I hope this made more sense.

one day i’m going to just write a full analysis (note a lot i want to i have a full notebook of notes hoo hoo) and hate it on edward’s hubris vs shou tucker hitting him right where it shakes him to the core . you did it because you believed you could! look at your body! look at your brother! isn’t that ‘messing with people’s lives?! we’re the same.’
how edward is fundamentally not the same but the outcome sure as hell is even if he’s nothing like that freak, his actions came from grief, desperation, and he was a child overwhelmed by grief. in the manga you seem him wailing at trisha’s funeral.  but they sure are foils in why they did what they did. that is undeniable., but ultimately to me, the ringleader for his little brother into a situation that i honestly think ed feels is no different than a living death because note how alphonse literally says and is wary and unsure from the start: isn’t human transmutation forbidden?
but yeah a living death alphonse endures. without even BLAMING ed although he  does rightfully and realistically snap at him post labaratory five. he’s on borrowed time. especially when the blood rune is temporary. for him it’s like he  damned his mother, he damned his little brother. and he just shoulders that alone, and refuses to really let alphonse know the extent of his own trauma the entire series, part because he’s the big brother, part because he will always feel it is /his/ fault for strongarming the entire calamity that stole their bodies.
also i want to write about edward’s transition via growth from icarus to the sun. i like how nina is a constant nightmare for edward and alphonse the entire series as well, she isn’t just an afterthought. she’s real, they loved her like a baby sister, and she died. also an analysis on the pocketwatch why edward literally just doesn’t tell alphonse initially about it at all, it’s a token of /shame and guilt/.
arrogance vs self-loathing. i find it interesting people associate ed with sloth when it’s always, always been pride. arrogance that is both a veneer to hide his overwhelming guilt, burden and self-hatred and also just part of his personality. not as a genius, or an alchemist. but himself.
that’s why he’s constantly racing against the clock. that’s why even as a personality trait, its amplified to dangerous levels how willing he is to die and give up his life for his brother , and also in contrast be so stubborn to live.
i have a lot more but hoo. ed may act like a gremlin but i think this is both a front for the times when he shows how he really is...far older than anyone should be as a fifteen year old most of the series and --- how he really is, for his immense failure and sin against his brother, his broken promise to his teacher, a flawed, but incredible big brother who refuses to acknowledge the overwhelmingly good traits of selflessness and drive and kindness because that means he’s somehow ‘forgiving himself’.
he does so much behind al’s back and is it right? no. but is he trying to spare him , and while it is borderline coddling , he also is just fully aware every second he eats, drinks, sleeps, that alphonse can’t. isn’t he suffering enough? if he can spare him any burden or pain despite alphonse wisely calling ed out? edward will. he’s a big brother, even if his height says otherwise.
and it’s ed’s fault. no one can convince him otherwise. i really think and believe fully that ed finally after bottling his pain / grief / anger / guilt / burdens are something he starts to try ‘healing’ with his found family and friends post promised day. it’s not pretty. i think a lot of people think ed is an asshole and that’s valid but the series is constantly reinforcing edward’s kindness and benevolence.
he just doesn’t want to acknowledge it because he ‘lost that right’. who should be able to think he’s a good person / heroic when he practically killed his little brother and slandered his mother’s remains?
not him. he’ll shoulder it alone. until alphonse gets sick of it. and he DOES.
but yeah bastard tucker vs edward and their differing reasons...but end result was the same no matter how borderline innocent / desperate edward’s intentions were.
this is a big brother. this is a big brother refusing alphonse without his permission to say without saying it you have suffered enough because of me. and how you don’t hate me i’ll never understand. so let me be the big brother and shoulder the majority. despite being a team.
i could go into if that’s just his way of trying to atone in futility or just -- again, edward tries so hard to spare alphonse. he tries so hard and continues to sacrifice for him. it’s why when alphonse does reverse uno on the promised day that edward literally is almost in shock that it’s the other way around. edward and alphonse are equally not okay that’s blatant and it’s disturbing because they’re physically so young but mentally....it’s a split imho.
but as the protagonist, we see it primarily through edward’s eyes. a genius / person with insane effort to prevail both hate and have confidence in himself and his talent.
and if push comes to shove alphonse’s restoration comes first / if it boiled down to only one choice. after all what’s so bad about an arm and a leg compared to him. it’s notable edward rarely mentions his own restoration in most media, it’s alphonse who reminds him ‘and we have to restore you too brother’. and how edward rarely replies.

ahh, thats definitely a big one. i first got into it in 2013, and became obsessed with it just like half of this site. after s1 ended and s2 was nowhere in sight for the future, i read the manga, but as it updated only once a month my attention dwindled and i eventually dropped it (around the end of the uprising arc, after historia became queen or around then). then last year, a family member showed interest bc of s4’s popularity and i watched it w them, and now im back! - armin anon
Ah, that's an interesting journey through SNK!! I can tell why you jumped to the manga after season 1. Four years is a crazy long time to wait for a new season. O.o I wish I got into SNK back in the heyday; I knew about it back in 2013 (that's when I got on tumblr), but never got around. I don't think there's many monthly manga, and I can see why it's easy to lose interest after waiting so long.
Like you, someone I knew got me into SNK for the fourth season. I binged everything and watched the new episodes as they came out. I'm so glad you're back into it now! Have you read up to the end of the manga too?
Have you watched other anime? How does SNK compare for you? I've only seen Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Hetalia and only now starting Death Note and Demon Slayer. SNK definitely sets a new narrative standard for me, and I doubt anything will come close in a while. The character dynamics and thematic depth is just off the charts.
Obligatory gif for reasons. Thanks for the chats; I love hearing how you got into SNK!!

Hey as the only real fma i know, can you tell me the pros and cons of watching the 2003 anime?? I've just started brotherhood and i really love it!!
aaAAAhh you are in for a RIDE. im super glad you’re watching it because it’s literally the best media I’ve experienced in my LIFE. ever. favourite thing of all time, period. I hope you love it too!
okay. most people will tell you brotherhood is better and I would agree. that’s not to say 2003 doesn’t have its pros!! I watched it before brotherhood when I was ten so in a way it’s actually more nostalgic for me??? i also haven’t actually watched ALL of it since then so this may be a little off, but I think I’ve got this……….
PROS:- 2003 goes into a lot more depth about the backstory and the start of the series in general. you get a lot more knowledge and build up before the human transmutation—all narrated by al, super effective because of his childish voice—so imo it’s all more emotionally impactful. you also get a lot more time to know the side characters (in 03, the elrics stay with the tuckers for MONTHS before they’ve even taken the state alchemist exam) so when tragic stuff inevitably happens, it’s so….. freakin……. sad………
- the story is different. it was made while the manga was still updating, so they plotted an entirely different story rather than putting the show on hiatus. it’s kinda different from the start, but by ep 20 it’s completely branched. a pro because this means you get to watch two whole fma stories!
- it’s really goddamn emotional. this is where I get a bit fuzzy in my 03 knowledge (it’s been a while, okay?) but from what I remember…… 03 had took no prisoners when it wanted you to feel something. imo, it went a little overboard with how tragic it was trying to go, but it’s all a matter of taste.
- the villains had a lot more depth and exploration. not gonna go much further for fear of spoilers, but keep that in mind if you like good villains.
- it’s got a movie. you can’t finish 03 without watching conqueror of shamballa. you literally cant—it wraps up the ending to the whole series. I haven’t watched it in five years, but the animation is fucking stunning and I seem to remember enjoying it. so. trust my ten year old self?
CONS:
- (opinion) animation and voice acting aren’t as good. I mean, it’s all pretty good considering it was made 6 years prior to fmab, but when comparing them, fmab is a lot easier on the eyes AND faithful to the manga style, and the less saturated colours better fit the series’ tone (if you care about that stuff). many of the voice actors are the same for both series (edward, lust, I think?) but fmab just sounds more natural to me.
- relationships in fmab are better (again, imo). much of fmab is about learning to take strength from others, and those relationships become so important, but in 03, it seemed a lot like edward had little development in that department.
- 2003 is slower paced and has fillers. I mean, this could be a pro if you like that sorta thing. the fillers aren’t awful, but not especially compelling either. by slower paced, I mean that it takes 20 episodes for 2003 to get to where fmab got in 5 episodes. one of my fave things about fmab is how it has, like, a plot twist per episode. they raise a question, and instead of spending ten episodes dragging it out until you don’t care anymore, they answer it satisfyingly.
- the ending could be considered dissatisfying. 2003 has the movie, of course, but even that left me feeling a little empty. fmab has a literal 15 episode climax with an ending I still love so damn much!!!
holy fuck im so sorry I rambled. a ton. this is why no one should ask me my thoughts on 03 vs fmab this ALWAYS happens
in conclusion: 2003 is lacking in story and pacing compared to fmab, but it makes up for it in pure emotion. personally, I struggle to watch 03 after watching brohood because it just seems like such a dip in quality. you may find you disagree though!! I hope your fma journey is a good one

Shows that made my 2017 better
So last year I made a list of shows that made my year better. Now I will say that 2016 was a FAR WORSE year than 2017 was for me. In 2016 I had academic pressure than was awful and I started a new school and all my friends ended up in different classes than me together, so that was fun. But then came 2017 and was all around just AWSOME and along with that awesome-ness came some amazing shows. Last year I just made a bullet list, but I thought that this year I should make some mini reviews, so here I go:
Fist off, my 2017 was dominated by animated shows/anime, so my eyes have really been opened to this amazing artform this year. HERE I GO:
My hero Academia/Boku no hero Academia
Tumblr media
What an awesome show. I watched this in November/December and I love the premise, characters and plot. It has really breathed some life into the superhero genre and is an all-together fun look at what it would be like if everyone in the world had different super-powers. It has stunning animation and the manga is also super-cool and goes in a great direction. Both the anime and manga is super-recommended.
Favorite character(s): I love Todoroki, he is awesome (and I’m a slut for angsty backstory so…). Deku is great. Actually, can I just write every character here? except Mineta, fuck Mineta!
Greatest qualities about the show: The character dynamics! The way the characters interact with each other is immaculate and they just fit together great. I also really like how each arc is structured and paced.
Negatives: The girls are sometimes a little bit passive for my liking, and if there was an arc with Mineta dying I would not be mad.
Bojack Horseman
Tumblr media
I binged this show and fell in love. What might just appear as just a wacky adult cartoon at first glance (and first couple of episodes) is actually a deep depiction of many modern-day topics and problematics such as depression, alcoholism, drug-use, sexuality, sex work, feminism, politics and of course life in Hollywoo(d). The human-like animals might be jarring at first, but it uses the character designs to its advantage with hilarious animal-puns and situations alongside making the show more lighthearted despite the shows heavy subject-matter.
The show is about the horse Bojack who was a famous sitcom star in the `90s and his slump of a life post sitcom star life and his journey back to stardom. The blend between humor and chilling, haunting realism is amazing to watch unfold alongside clever and real character development that is beautiful to watch. Ironically the most aesthetically absurd looking show on this list has the most realistic story. Great social commentary disguised as a comedy.
Favorite character(s): Everyone is flawed in Bojack Horseman, but the most interesting characters in this show for me are Bojack and Diane. So, I would say Diane is my favorite to observe.
Greatest qualities about the show: The way it discusses social issues. Its stunning and thought-provoking.
Negatives: It’s a little bit slow and odd in the beginning and some might find it a little too sad.
Rick and Morty
Tumblr media
I discovered this show around Easter time and WOW! No show like any other on this list handles surrealism and absurdist comedy, parody and satire quite like Rick and Morty. The show about the scientist Rick and his grandson (with his grand-daughter Summer joining inn somtimes) Morty going on wacky space adventures. Ricks dick-ish nature contrasts Morty’s wide-eyed curiosity turned cynicism perfectly. The show has fun world building, alongside a great blend between one-off adventures and overarching plot. Visually the show is both stunning and disgusting making it an interesting aesthetic journey for the viewer. Funny, crazy and surprisingly deep at times. And btw watching Rick and Morty does not make you smarter nor require you to be a super-intellectual.
Favorite character(s): Morty is always delightful.
Greatest qualities about the show: Its really funny and has really great world building/concepts within the show.
Negatives: It sometimes boards on a little to gross and has some growing pain in the start.
This is kind of a shout-out to a second season of show from last year’s list so:
Stranger Things 2
Tumblr media
Such a good “sequel”. I enjoyed every moment of the show (even the controversial Chicago episode). The characters developed, the plot developed, the new characters were amazing and tone and aesthetic from the first season was carefully preserved and used immaculately. The 80`s reference game was just as strong. For anyone who has lived under a rock the last year and a half the show (first season at least) is about the mysterious disappearance of middle-schooler Will Beyers. The year is 1983, location Hawkings, Indiana.
Favorite character(s): Steve Harrington deserves the world in season 2. I also really like Mike.
Greatest qualities about the show: Addicting story. SO BEAUTIFULLY SHOT! Amazing acting from everyone.
Negatives: Ok, I lied the Chicago episodes stagnated the plot to some extent. I just don’t hate the episode as much as everyone else.
And last but CERTANTLY not least:
Ok so I’m cheating on this one I watched this show in January but I watched the first episode in December so I’m including it and also I’m so in love and I wanted to include it here rather than next year’s list because I want it fresh in my mind.
 Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Tumblr media
So, this entry is technically 2 shows. One was created in 2003 based on a manga by the same name but diverges from the manga around the half-way point because it ran out of material to adapt and goes in its own direction. The other is from 2009 and is a straight adaption of the manga. This creates 2 shows with the same central characters, plot and starting points that diverges GREATLY from each other and they are both amazing!
The plot goes like this; In a world where alchemy developed, you cannot create something with alchemy without having the materials that equals to what you want to make. Example: if you want to create a radio you need all the materials that make up that radio to create it. This is known as equivalent exchange and it cannot be broken.
When the young brothers Edward and Alfonse Elric’s mother dies they try bring her back using alchemy. In the process Edward loses and arm and a leg while Alfonse loses his entire body and is only left with his soul which is now bonded to suit of armor. The brothers must seek out a way to find a way to get their bodies back.
IT IS AMAZING! Both versions are amazing, but I slightly prefer the 2009 version also known as Brotherhood. It explores dark and philosophical themes and questions such as mass genocide, the life of the military, PTSD, fascism, war, politics, what is god/playing god, what is the price of a soul is, loss and most importantly daddy-issues.
There is no end to how much this series deserves praise (mostly referring to Brotherhood here). From the way its gorgeously animated, to the pacing, the way it handles it subject matter and issues and has relatable characters. The character development is perfect, and the plot never meanders or goes into dead ends and concludes beautifully. Even the attention to details is impressive with examples such as the way it shows the characters physically aging and demonstrating where in timeline the scene takes place with subtle hair changes. Fullmetal Alchemist (brotherhood) is like watching someone pouring all the puzzle-pieces out on the table and watching someone cleverly and creatively putting them together, thus creating a magnificent art-piece in the in the process. I would also like to mention one of the most amazing aspects of both versions being the way female characters actions, traits, part in the plot, abilities and dialogue are some of the best female writing I have ever seen. Ironically enough in a work marked towards teenage boys.
Favorite character(s): Fullmetal Alchemist is the kind of show that I like to call having “parks and rec”-syndrome, where genually love everyone, however If I have to pick I might say Winry. I absolutly lover her and I think she is a great role model, hillarious and greatly written.
Greatest qualities about the show: The way it deals with its subject-matter. And also everything else about the show, but especially that.
Negatives: Nothing about the show, just a little girl and her dog that im a little tierd being meme-ed to death on reddit but also kinda laugh so im a little bit conflicted, but there is no negatives that I can think of.
That was it, bye-bye 2017, I watched some fine televison in your year, and I hope to find some just as good in 2018.

Tagged by @lingthing !
RULES: Always post the rules. Answer the questions asked, then write 11 new ones. Tag 11 people to answer your questions, as well as the person who tagged you.
thanksthanks~! Really long under the cut lol
1. How were you first introduced to Fullmetal Alchemist?
Pictures of blonde red-cloak boy and giant armor warrior + the nina/alexander chimera jokes while surfing through the internet :V (I was in my ultra-Sonic-fanatic phase back then and was searching for fanart)
So when that scene came up the animes/manga, I was already de-sensitized to it through jokes long ago sadfzgfdhgjf
I finally got the basis to what it was about when my favorite Sonic fanartists started to make posts and analysis of it. I firmly remember the discourse of whether the ending of Conqueror of Shamballa was terrible or not, and me not understanding anything lol
Still wasn’t an entire FMA fan at that time
2. Tell us all about your child your favorite character and why you love them to pieces!
BOY OH BOY, where have you been? *Points to Icon* That guy, over there (Does Greedling as an entity count)
Okay for real, so my first actual fave was actually Greed himself. I was looking at the FMA wiki and reading up on all the characters, and he caught my attention. So I was thinking, “Wow, this guy is part of the bad guys? But he’s not? And he’s actually nice!? What an interesting character! But he looked kinda like a villain beating up Ed...”
Then he jump-started my motivation to continue watching the 03 anime and I cried over him and how he didn’t deserve to die ;v;.
Several days later, I remember there being some ~Asian Aesthetics~ In the brotherhood version after looking at a tumblr post (You know, that one where it compares Xing to IRL China).
Went to the wiki again, and read up on all the Xing characters.
>sees Ling’s description (Greed? What??? Greed is my fav, why does he look different??)
>Stop and stares at personality
“That guy is also gonna be my fav I just know it.” And truth to behold, he is! There’s something about Comic Relief characters that are also secretly badasses that just gets to me ngh
AnD THEN WHEN GREEDLING HAPPENED OH MAN I WASN’T PREPARED FOR IT
THEY LITERALLY..JUST... COMBINED BOTH OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS INTO ONE JEKYLL AND HYDE THING OH MY GOD??
AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH UNTIL THEY GOT SEPERATED.....//cries
3. What are some funny FMA moments that get you every time?
>”OHOHOH WE’RE GOING TO CENTRAL?! HOW EXICITING!”
>Crocodile face Ed and sharp claws Roy
>Every single moment Ling gets kicked out of the room
>Whenever Ed makes an exaggerated face
>Major Armstrong
4. What is your favorite fight scene from the series?
fight sceneS* You mean B)?
>Roy Vs. Lust (If you could even consider that a fight scene)
>Greed Vs. Wrath (Again, don’t really know if it could count as an actual fight scene, poor guy didn’t even get a chance to attack)
>Ling Vs. Wrath (It just shows the full extent of his badassery!)
>Ed Vs. Greedling (Pretty interesting to see Ling fight badly compared to before  because of Greed being shitty on the offense lmao)
>Briggs Army Vs. Sloth (THEY JUST... USED AN ENTIRE TANK...)
>Lanfan + Ling Vs. Gluttony (nyoom, asian warrior skills)
>Greedling + Fu Vs. Wrath (Damn, the emotions)
I feel like I pretty much listed 99% of the scenes that exists haha
5. If you could make an FMA OVA, what would it be about?
*SLAMS TABLE* FMA FROM THE POV OF LING,
THE TALES OF WHAT-THE-HELL-HAPPENED WITH GREED+CHIMERAS AND ED DURING THE TIMESKIP,
OR THOSE XING JOURNEY WITH AL AFTER THE SERIES EVENTS
6. Do you have any of your own FMA headcanons? Tell us about them!
>Ling can feel 100% everything that Greed feels and vice-versa in the backseat    ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (So having his arm sliced off... he felt that)
When Greed gets tired, He gets tired
When Greed gets hungry, He gets hungry Etc. They feel everything with the same intensity.
>Greed picked up minor Xingese during his body-share, but it’s really shitty broken sentences. He tries speaking it to girls in order to impress them. Ling cringes every time and disapproves of it. So when ling comes back to visit amestris for Emperor duties, he’s known as that guy with the broken language by some of the public :)
“WOAH KUH YEE SHOU XING-WIN HWAH. NI HI YOW TING WOAH SHOU DONGSHI MA?”
“Greed no”
“NI SHIAN CHU CHII MA?”
“Greed sTOP”
(Bonus points if you managed to decipher the gibberish)
7. Who is your favorite homunculus and why?
Greed, Greed, and Greedle!! THIS POOR GUY JUST BEEN THROUGH A LOT OKAY.
Oh? He’s different from the rest of us? LETS SPITE HIM
Oh look, we found him! LETS KILL ALL OF HIS FRIENDS! Also, lets supress his memories maybe he’ll accidentally kill of the last of his friends lmao
Plus he’s like....the most docile out of all of the homunculi, everyone else goes “PEH. Hoomans. look at these ants. Its pretty fun squishing them”
meanwhile Greed is the only one out of all of them that goes “Meh. I think they’re pretty okay. oH SHIT THIS ONE IS GONNA GET THEMSELVES KILLED!”
He’s gr8
8. Do you have a favorite FMAau? If not, what’s an au you’d like to see or have come up with?
Greed survives with ling AU hands down
I just want him to have extended happiness ;A;
9. If you could live anywhere in the FMA-verse, where would you live?
Post-series Xing! I bet the food would taste so goood *q*
Also, a lot less assassins later lol
10. Which FMA character do you identify with the most?
Ed! cause 1. Im short. 2. I get really pissy easily and yell a lot when i am
(Other than that, there isn’t any super-relatable characters in FMA for me. I could never be cool as any of them-)
11. Why do you love Fullmetal Alchemist? What does it mean to you? Tell me everything! Go nuts!
>Nobody is 100% evil! They all have their motive and own sets of morals/POV! Well, maybe except for Kimblee. Gross cockroach
>making *mystical Alchemy* into something that’s weaponized and a common theme in the series, + managing to apply it to a 1920s timeline instead of something medieval
>the characters oh man i love the characters
>Majority of female characters are badasses instead of being so meek!
>Historical contexts mm
>The cultural contrast between the east and the west regarding alchemy and other things
>Wow, no fan service? I’ve never seen that from Anime besides myazaki films!
>THE ENTIRE BRIGGS ARMY
>The subtle aging of the characters
Just having an anime with all of these is a blessing aaaaaaaa
I can’t believe I didn’t watch it when the nina jokes were floating everywhere
