listen I am about as pro-abortion as anyone can be, but aborting a baby just because they have Down's Syndrome should be fucking illegal. If you're someone who actively wants and is trying for a child, then you should be mentally, financially, and emotionally willing to provide for that child for the rest of your life if something goes wrong- because that is what being a good parent takes, and many many things can go wrong. Down's Syndrome is not at all close to the worst thing that can happen to a baby, and people with it can grow up to be happy, healthy, content adults- they just need a little bit of extra help and a different approach to raising them. If you just want a 'normal' child so that you can boot them out of your house when they turn 18 and have them around to take care of you when you're older, then you don't actually want children, you want an investment. A doll, not a family member. Not a person.

Hai hai- I've been trying to do some research on it, but I may as well ask. ... What the hell even /is/ the Baiheng drama?? Like the most I heard was someone saying that she was some writer's self-insert, which... I frankly don't buy, unless I'm missing actual evidence? I mean I will admit I have a few companion missions to do to answer some of my questions, but I wanna ask.

Omg, so I had to look it up and it lead me to these posts which had some comments explaining but the gist of it sounds like- some people are mad that Jingliu's companion quest largely revolves around everyone's grief towards the passing of Baiheng and subsequent falling out of the friend group that it lead to. Some people are overreacting to the idea that Dan Feng and Yingxing decisions revolve around a female character- some people are mad that their interpretations of the lore and certain events up until now have been proven false.

Some people made a claim that it was some writer self-inserting himself into Baiheng and making her loved by everyone, along with some dumb shit about her being a mary sue. These claims are false though, Baiheng is named after someone who worked on combat encounters in Genshin Impact, not a writer for HSR. Apparently said employee also made some comment on twitter making fun of the drama and naturally, it went over some fans' heads who didn't realize they were being made fun of. I don't have the screenshots of the tweet and I don't care to dig that much into it because from the start this sounded like a bit of drama over nothing like a lot of the HSR drama recently. Personally, I loved Jingliu's quest and thought it was really touching and tragic.

that was kinda underwhelming ngl. I really expected that either Dean would show up, or we’d meet the “Queen” (it feels so weird to not call her The Empress/The Condesce/Meenah). Neither of those things happened.... yknow I keep saying that if the writers were confident enough in their ability to convey themes that they didn’t spend 15 minutes of every episode looking directly into the camera to talk about generational trauma (...and then illustrate it just fine immediately after, might I add. they don’t need to explain it all. the themes come across just fine) we would have a LOT more time for actual plot and the story wouldn’t fucking crawl like this.

been REEEEALLY pissed at my little sister lately. few months ago i told her i wanted to cosplay madotsuki for the next con, she said she wanted to cosplay from the same thing as me or shed be left out, i show her pictures of some of the other characters and she likes monoko the most, so im like cool well you can just play the game its free on steam and there isnt really any gameplay so you can just download it then we can get to work! and shes like ok ill do that. then months pass and shes planning the cosplay itself out but when i ask her if shes played it she goes "no i havent had the time". she has a laptop but its been at our papas place for way long cause she doesnt USE it and shes only at papas every other week so before she leaves to go to him i remind her to play it. and she says ok i will. then she doesnt. and when she gets home i say why didnt you bring your laptop here so you could play it and she just goes "i forgot". and shes spent the week at our papas place so ive texted her everyday going "please remember to play the game" and she either stays out till 10 and gets too tired to do anything but go to bed when she gets home, or she just tells me shell do it later and doesnt. i ask her why dont you just at least DOWNLOAD it now and then you can play it later and she tells me her laptop isnt even charged cause she never uses it (which also makes me a little mad!!!). then i specifically tell papa to remind her to bring her laptop and charger when its time to go back here and shell be home tomorrow so i guess well see how that goes. but the thing is if she doesnt bring it she wont be able to play the game at all until another week from now, which is the same week as the con so then itll be too late. part of me is almost hoping for her to forget it so i can just tell her to forget the whole thing as some sort of punishment, but i know thats a little mean. anyway
