✰ half of the genre is literally just about violence so,, fitting and would possibly dabble in black metal if he ever got the time

✰ mikey’s go-to bands are cannibal corpse, thy art is murder, maybe maybe some leviathan since he likes one or two of their songs, and one slayer album along with possibly opeth after s long week

✰ he enjoys most of cannibal corpse’s discography but his preferred/main albums are tomb of the mutilated or gore obsessed along with enjoying thy art’s infinite death EP

✰ [modern hc] he also loves volvodynia’s psychosadistic design

✰ no real inspiration from the genre since he doesn’t,, get around that often but would probably pay tribute to cannibal corpse with this basic ass shirt that he definitely had to rip the sleeves off of (it’s not a fashion statement it’s a deathwish, it’s because his arms didnt fit)

✰ always makes sure no one’s around to hear his music since it wouldn’t really make sense for someone like him to blast music while stalking a target

✰ because of the soundtrack of the movie, clearly vincent/the sinclair brothers listen to rock music and because of the time period & the way he dresses, vincent definitely listens to more nu-metal and alternative stuff

✰ his go-to bands are koRn, slipknot, type O negative, sometimes deftones if he’s feeling good, and ofc you can’t forget mcr

✰ vinny loves all the koRn albums (up until 2005) especially follow the leader since it was the first album he heard by them and has several shirts for the band such as this

✰ he probably most definitely wants to be like joey jordison with the way he styles his hair and the way he dresses and has probably tried to learn the drums to a few songs off slipknot’s self-titled & iowa albums (i can’t blame him tho i have my hair dyed like he did in 1999 & learned iowa on the drums lololol can yall tell im projecting)

✰ bo always has to tell him to turn down the music while he’s working since, according to him, “the whole damn town can hear.” clearly, he’s being dramatic but if vinny doesnt turn it down bo makes him turn it off completely

✰ plus bo’s always trying to get him out of his comfort zone and listen to other bands/artists like puddle of mudd or marilyn manson (support the art not the artist <3) but he doesn’t listen since he knows what helps him work or calm him down

✰ this is the one character i’m tossing the movie time period out for since obviously there wasn’t any metal music in the 60s, so, we’re setting this in the 2003-2006 era since that’s when tommy’s movies were made

✰ another thing before we get started, i’m fully aware of the history of mayhem & burzum and if you don’t i encourage you to look it up read up on it since it’s very interesting let alone important to understand the black metal genre (and to pay respects to dead & euronymus)

✰ so, because of the hectic household, tommy really needs something to drown it all out while he’s in the basement and when he was introduced to black metal and death metal, it was perfect (and yes i know some black metal bands are satanic and i don’t hc that tommy listens to it for that reason)

✰ his go-to bands are mayhem, cradle of filth, cannibal corpse, a little opeth, and possibly dying fetus

✰ honestly, he’d probably pick and choose albums he puts on his playlist if he liked one song so his playlist(s) would be long enough to listen to it at least twice in a day while he works

✰ [modern hc] tommy would probably fall asleep to something like xasthur’s screaming at forgotten tears

✰ 100% owns a mayhem tank top/muscle tee and wears it when he wants to get out of his “work” clothes plus he thinks the art on it is neat

✰ much like vincent, he’s constantly told to turn down his music. hoyt’s always yellin’ at him and callin’ him names since the music is “distracting” him from his chores when really it’s what’s keeping him going

✰ wants to meet more people that listen to metal cause he really wants recommendations (so, if you listen to metal, you get bonus points with this boy)
