Following up on the Vox Machina question, what would your best guess/estimation for the main party's Classpects be?

Ok I am. Very late to this and straight up forgot about it but bare with me

1: Percy. Percy is defined more than anyone by his relationships. His family, the villains and his list, and the rift he made between himself an allies. He is definitely a Blood player and I’m thinking Prince

Princes have their particularly strong weapons and Percy is the only dude with a gun in the series. His family was slaughtered, and in their name, he has a list of villains to kill. His revenge quest fueled by Orthax makes it feel even more blood-y

2: Keylith. While her being a druid and very naturalistic magic (turning into animals, controlling plants, using Sunlight to harm wraiths, and casting Sunbeam at vampires) Life makes a lot of sense. 

She is a very protective, eager, and caring person, even with her anxieties. When in over their heads, she asks why the party is even doing this in the first place. When seeing the Sun Tree she mourns and while others are discussing plans she tries to call out to it. When things are dire her connection to the tree gives her enough power to cast Sunbeam

Keylith is definitely more of a support player and while definitely a big gun, she has other tricks up her sleeve first that she is more comfortable with. Her connection with nature and a quest revolving around believing in herself to be the strong caster people can depend on makes me think of a couple things for her class. I initially thought of Page but my friend Derek thought Maid and I think that’s a better choice tbh

3: Pike. As the only cleric and dealing with belief, she is a very very easy Hope player. Her whole deal is about a crisis of faith and not being true to herself. She wants this less than pious life with her friends but does not see it as worthy of her god’s patronage, something that causes her connection to be muddled and cut off after Delilah’s meddling. Her exact class is a little hard for me to pin but I can see, funny enough, Witch or Heir. She wields her powers incredibly well and gets an avatar at the end. Her resolve to be herself and embrace her truth could easily be seen as a grand Witch triumph or as an Heir mantling their full aspect (like the Windy thing)

I think Witch more since her god acts as a patron like the other Witch players we know

Uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I don’t really have thoughts on the rest, but Delilah Briarwood is as Rage as Rage gets. She does what she does for passion, for power, for vengeance. For the love of her husband and the hate brewing in her from his loss. She even has purple lightning! Mage or Witch would suit her well, leaning more on mage

I love the idea of Jonathan interacting with all the other jojos so I thought I’d take a little break from part 5 whump headcanons to fulfill this one :D SO HERE’S SOME SELF-INDULGENT HEADCANONS ABOUT JONATHAN DOING FUN LITTLE ACTIVITIES WITH THE OTHER JOJOS BECAUSE I KNOW WE ALL NEED IT RIGHT NOW😭😭😭

-Hear me out but KNITTING

-Let this man do some nice calm things please

-Joseph has absolutely no way to connect with Jonathan. Like. Nothing.

-He doesn’t see the two of them as anything alike even though they both have the star, and when it comes to connecting with such a righteous, nice dude he’s a bit :/ about it

-He also doesn’t want to do anything stupid (In his words.) He hates baking, he’s never been into reading and school, and the two can never really click with sports

-Our man Jonathan has searched his heart and soul for something to bring the two of them together but Joseph is always just not into it >:(

-He’s almost given up on connecting at all BUT—

-One thing they do have in common? Erina.

-BOOM. Johnny-boy suddenly has ideas >:)

-Joseph is really put off when Jonathan shows up with a ball of yarn and needles and in the most innocent way possible he’s like “I have something to show you ^-^”

-the first thing Joseph thinks is NO FUCKING WAY. If Caesar or his mother or anyone caught him fucking knitting he’d never be able to live it down

-So instead he just watches as Jonathan sits by the fire, and it looks really boring at first but he just starts going at it

-And of course the gears start turning and all his brain sees is “fast task?? task I can be good at? something quick my hands can do??”

-And Jonathan looks up to take a break to see Joseph perched on the edge of the chair in complete awe, but the moment he asks if he wants to know how to do it, Joseph gets really withdrawn :/

The rest of their conversation goes a little like this:

“Isn’t that meant for girls?”

“Why would hats and scarves be only for girls?”

“But its—”

“You know...I’m making Erina a matching hat and scarf for her birthday. I could use a little help with the scarf…”

“...”

“We can make it a race.”

And with a fire lighting in his eyes, Joseph accepts the contest even though he has no idea what he’s doing. But isn’t that what he does best?

-Needless to say, he becomes obsessed.

-When his greatest fear comes true and Caesar finds out, he’s too obsessed to care about the teasing

-Joseph is good at something that Caesar isn’t. Caesar is jealous. Caesar picks up knitting.

-Are knitting contests even a thing?? I don’t care because Joseph and Caesar could probably open a fucking etsy shop with all the stuff they make (and absolutely shamelessly at that)

-Anytime they meet someone new it's immediately “which hat is better?” “Joseph’s is worse, right?” “Can you start the stopwatch for us?”

-Even in his older years, he never actually stopped making things for Holy, Suzi, and even sometimes Jotaro (thought Joot wouldn’t be caught dead wearing any of it in public)

-He actually progresses past knitting and making clothes in general becomes a secret passion of his

-The hat he’s wearing in part 4? He definitely made that. And don’t even think he doesn’t send Josuke the tackiest shit in the mail

Jonathan is very proud :)

Jotaro

-Animals. Is that even a question?

-Jonathan was always more of a dog or cat person, but the moment he finds out that Jotaro’s interested in marine life? MAN GOES ALL OUT

-He not only researches the shit out of marine biology just so he can hold up a conversation with him, but he also buys A SHIT TON OF BOOKS for his favourite angst man

-We all know that Jotaro isn’t exactly a man of words, but his heart is touched when they exchange a few sentences and Jonathan shows up the next day with a book all about what they were talking about🥺

-Like—Jonathan was always scolded for never listening to his father, but when it comes to stuff like this, Jotaro swears he’s able to read his mind

-Most people can barely get him to utter a sentence, but when these two are alone they’ll talk for hours about the ocean

-Holy was actually pretty worried for a while that Jotaro rarely ever opened up to anyone, but after seeing the two of them talk it was like a weight lifted off her shoulders :)

-They go on trips all the time to study water life. First, it's just to the river a few minutes away. Then they start going out to the lake nearby, and then they’re suddenly borrowing Joseph’s private boat and going on all these “research trips” together

-Which just consist of Jotaro taking hundreds of pictures and surprisingly never shutting up about what he sees (which is definitely a first)

-They pass by snooty, rich fishermen all the time who make fun of them for only looking at the animals, and Jonathan secretly uses Hamon to attract the fish to anywhere but where the fishers are lol

-I can blame snipster on instagram for introducing me to Smiletaro but the pure happiness and smiles of happy Joot on this boat with Jonathan is like a DRUG

-Star Platinum is absolutely thrilled, and when Jonathan realizes that Star is an amazing artist, he actually buys the stand a cute little purple notebook to draw all the ocean life they come across :3

-The moment they get back to shore Jotaro’s all -_- again around people, but you can still see the excitement in his eyes if you look hard enough

-When he gets into school for marine biology, Jonathan is so fucking proud

-This is an au which means anything can happen so I formally declare that Jonathan definitely got Jotaro those golden dolphin-shaped coat pins when the man first goes off to Uni

-He wears them as a good luck charm :3

Josuke

-Josuke is soooo easy to get along with, especially since both of them are such warm people :)

-Jonathan figures that it wouldn’t be hard to find something fun to do together, but when he actually thinks about it...he really knows nothing about what Josuke likes to do

-He ends up just asking the kid next time they see each other, and they end up just agreeing to teach each other one thing the other doesn’t know

-Because the power of KNOWLEDGE BABYYY

-Josuke shows up the next day with an entire fucking Nintendo 64 and is absolutely set on teaching him how to play something

-Erina just kinda watches like 👁👄👁 as Josuke plugs it in and Jonathan is confused but also SUPER EXCITED because he barely even knows what a video is but there are also video games??

-After much internal debate, Josuke decides on Ocarina of Time because he’s worried Jonathan will have a fucking heart attack if they play something like Mario Kart

-Also he thinks Jojo would enjoy the whole “righteous hero coming of age” archetype thing because,,,you know,,,

-They start it up and immediately Jonathan is like WHAT and has no idea how to play and dies in ways that Josuke didn’t even know were possible, but they somehow make it to the first temple with a lot of help from Josuke

-Right before the boss fight, his mom pulls up like “bitch we gotta go come on” so Josuke sees no harm in leaving the system at Jonathan’s and coming back next week

-Oho,,,ohohooo,,,

-He comes back a week later to a dark house,,,Erina’s off on some trip, and he can hear the faintest “HYAH!” coming from the living room

-He walks in to find Jonathan in the exact same spot he left him, ALL OTHER SAVE FILES ARE COMPLETE, and he’s in some obscure location doing a side quest Josuke didn’t even know existed

-Turns out he’s really good at quest games

-After Josuke realizes that Jonathan’s managed to beat the game more than once, he asks if he wants to try out another game

-To which Jonathan replies: “There’s MORE?”

-Aside from giving Jonathan a crippling video game addiction, Josuke also learns a vital thing about Jonathan Joestar

-Hamon ^-^

-Josuke’s a little surprised that Jonathan can even see his stand, and Jonathan has no other way to explain it than that it must be connected to his Hamon somehow

-To which Josuke is like “what” and Jonathan realizes that his stupid fucking grandson decided not to tell ANY OTHER Joestar about Hamon

-He’s no Zeppeli, but he could try and teach him...even if it didn’t work, it would still be a nice bonding activity

-When Jonathan finds out that Josuke’s stand ability is revolved around healing, he’s overjoyed because he might have a better chance

-They start small with breathing exercises and meditation, which eventually lead to Jonathan trying to teach Josuke how to make things like flowers

-Since it doesn’t exactly come naturally to Josuke, things don’t exactly work out,,,but both are unsurprisingly happy when Josuke manages to make a single flower bloom :3

-It’s not much, but it’s there and it honestly makes Josuke feel much better knowing that he could eventually learn how to heal himself, too :)

Giorno

-Jonathan considered teaching Giorno Hamon a while ago, but he realized that his stand already has the properties of Hamon, if not just in a more humanoid form

-And when Jojo puts two and two together that he and his son can both grow a lot of plant life, he has the perfect idea

-Garden buddies!!!! :D

-They grow everything you could possibly think of, and to top it all off, Giorno fills the garden with all this animal life :)

-When it comes to biology, Giorno never shuts up about it. He’s the quietest kid when it comes to virtually anything else but prepare for MAJOR info dumps about frogs and his vast knowledge of flowers

-Speaking of flowers, them just sitting and growing them together and talking about all of their favourites? Yes please

-Although they love to accelerate plant growth, there’s one patch in the middle of the garden that they’re determined to grow naturally

-Also them growing and eating carambola (star fruit) together because it’s my pocket dimension that makes no sense and I get to decide what fun fruits the Joestars get to eat together

-the garden becomes a great place for picnics and outings and the best place to go when things get too chaotic

-Giorno starts a plant journal where he records everything that ends up growing there, and Jonathan starts impulse buying all these flower guide books so they can look at pictures of them and put their favourites in the garden :3

-They end up creating a little pond in the middle of everything, and Giorno puts a whole bunch of frogs and fish in it and it's all very tranquil and calm and nice :))

All in all, I think Chan would be a chill/causal player that would be happy to help his friends and community while also playing hard ball once in a while just to mess with everyone 😂♥️

He’d be spending most of his time crashing other member’s islands and leaving little surprises like a useless DIY they already have or a fake painting he got roped into buying bc he was too lazy to check if it was genuine =_=

Everyone got sick of it pretty quickly but no one like Minho or Hyunjin; he’s permanently banned from those two locations and Jeongin’s considering adding him to the list next

Despite there being so much junk, his house would have an almost decent vibe: lots of instruments and fun gear, along with some random clothes, a lava lamp, and...another urinal 🗿💧

Sometimes every few days or a week

He sometimes likes to synchronize it with his current hair color but

Experimenting is also fun

Face paint too! 🌈 He chooses a warpaint print he found on Pinterest, for days when the gang gets together for a game of tag or bug catching contests

Even if he doesn’t win, Felix always makes it into the Top 3

And he has a lot of fun doing so! 😊

YGO Questionnaire Part 2 Electric Boogaloo

So, my gf/bf @howaboutalittlehelpneos tagged me to do this again a... good long while ago, and I had wanted to wait until I'd finished my GX rewatch before trying this again. But ouch oof I accidentally also got through all of 5Ds again before getting to this lol

But the 5Ds rewatch definitely reshaped a lot of my thoughts, so... cracks knuckles. This won't be spoiler free, fair warning~

Favorite Series: ugh the formatting killed my original essay on this but okay GX and 5Ds are pretty tied in my book, now-- I love them equally, but in different ways! GX fulfills my love for subversive coming-of-age stories with a heartwarming, humorous, and also soulcrushing touch, and I love how each season brings a new story and new characters-- it's like reading installments of a novel series, and I think the formatting works wonders for it as a whole. It has some absolutely phenomenal character writing, too-- even the characters I dislike are ones I can appreciate for what they introduce to the story! And honestly, not enough people give the first two seasons of GX the credit it deserves: they're half the charm, really. How are you going to feel the full impact of the heartbreaking content in seasons 3 and 4 if you aren't properly attached to the characters?

But on 5Ds's side of things... it fulfills my love for stories with time loops, found family, human nature, and of course, love and death and how they intertwine. I love how the leading characters are just a bunch of broken kids from broken circumstances who all find a home with each other, and of course, how it highlights class disparity and how fucked up the prison/"justice" systems are. Yea, sure, maybe it underwent executive meddling and all, but I genuinely love it for what it is and I wish more people appreciated it... my only problem with 5Ds is the untwist with Z-ONE and then the ending s m h I adore it overall and I could go off for a long while on it. Overall, these are my two instinctive recommendations for anyone getting into Yugioh!

(look at these boys they're so important) Favorite Protagonist: Oh, believe me, absolutely nothing has changed here-- Yusei Fudo is and always will be my favorite protagonist, and my rewatch only solidified that.

I just... love him so much? He's seen so much hell in his life and carries so much guilt on his shoulders, but he still has room in his heart to believe in others and to believe that anyone can defy fate and find hope even at rock bottom. I love that he's initially introduced as this quiet, brooding figure when he really just turns out to be a huge softie who wears his heart on his sleeve half the time and wants to bring about change for Satellite and its people. Plus I just really love that his greatest flaw is something that would ordinarily be a positive trait-- he's Overly self-sacrificial, to the point where he's basically setting himself on fire to keep others warm, and that's not really framed as something Heroic

Just... he makes me so happy. I have two Yusei charms that I ordinarily keep on my keys (one was a gift from Zenzen) and they're a constant source of serotonin for me. He's Peak comfort character for me. Best protag in my book Favorite Rival: Same deal here-- still Manjoume!

While he spends a lot of the anime getting the good old damsel in distress treatment (getting suckered into a cult, getting knocked into a coma, becoming a zombie, getting fucking Killed, etc), I still think his character arc is really well-written overall and I only appreciated it even more when I watched GX again. I love the fact that he's got a soft heart he buries beneath the edgy facade, and that he's simultaneously really sharp and also kind of dense lol. He's just a fun character and watching how he evolves from episode one to episode one hundred eighty is such a satisfying journey.

Plus, props to him for being such a versatile duelist-- 50 wins in a row is HARD as is, let alone with a deck full of cards he just found laying around in the Arctic. Three ace monsters, three different archetypes... he's a really good duelist and I'm proud of him for it

Oh, but honestly, I don't really dislike any of the rivals-- I'm neutral towards Revolver and Reiji, but the remaining four (Kaiba, Manjoume, Jack, and Shark) compel me. yes I accidentally wound up liking Jack Atlas shhh Favorite BFF: Honestly, I really like most of the characters who fit this archetype-- Joey, Crow, Gongenzaka, Soulburner... I still lean a little bit more towards Joey, but I really appreciate all four of them. I'm gonna say Joey again, just because I find his evolution as a character the most compelling, but I appreciate the other three a lot. Soulburner has the best design though Favorite GFF: Oh absolutely still Aki, but I honestly... really love most female Yugioh characters? I'm assuming this is lead girls only, but like. I'm dumb and gay and I love Girls so this is naturally the most difficult one for me to answer lol

Aki just resonates with me the most because she's the prime example of how trauma doesn't always manifest in palatable ways-- when we first meet her, she's angry and lashes out at anyone and anything just because she wants the world to suffer in the same ways she's suffered, and then... we get to watch her grow from that, once she's free from Divine and able to heal the way she needs to heal. I know the second half of 5Ds didn't give her character the attention it deserved, but I'm still proud of her for winding up on the path she did-- seeing her channel her power and energy into wanting to heal and help others was just so good and was one of the few things I really Loved about the 5Ds ending.

oh, but like. Asuka Tenjoin and Aoi Zaizen are very close seconds for me!!! Aki just has a vice grip on my heart Favorite Villain: Okay, it's still technically Vector-- I think he's the most entertaining, well-written, and effective villain out of all of the ones we've seen so far, but... I also want to add Takuma Saiou and then all of Yliaster as honorable mentions?

As someone fond of tarot myself, I was naturally pretty intrigued by Saiou the first time I watched GX, but my attachment to him only grew the second time around where I actually got the chance to understand his character better. Plus, like... the visuals with him are fucking astounding and he's always so interesting to watch.

As for Yliaster, I just... really love how the big bad of 5Ds turned out to just essentially be a broken man desperate to save anyone and anything and three robotic reconstructions of the friends he'd lost. I still think the untwist with Z-ONE was stupid and I much prefer the idea of him and Yusei being the same person, but I'm still compelled by the other three-- well. Paradox less so, because we don't get a lot of Paradox lore, but. Aporia and Antinomy for sure.

ugh Yugioh has some damn good villains

Favorite Card: now that I actually play the TCG game...

Stardust is always going to be my favorite of all cards because it checks every box for me (my favorite YGO character's ace monster, space theme, what more could I want), but Aromaseraphy Rosemary has really become one of my aces in my best TCG deck! I'm still mastering irl plays, but I'm happy with my progress and I love my plant gang...

Favorite Episode: alright, here's where there's actually been a Lot of change, so...

Season 0: Episode 16: "Turnabout by a Hair's Breadth - The White-Robed Crisis" -- The more I think about this one, the more I love it; there's a... lot of corruption in the medical industry, and I've seen a lot of it firsthand, so just. Seeing a corrupt doctor get what he deserved at the end was cathartic, in a way? Plus, a Jounouchi-centric episode is always a good time.

Duel Monsters: Episodes 96-97: "Darkness vs. Darkness/One Turn Kill" -- this hasn't changed, I still love seeing Marik and Bakura bitch at each other for two whole episodes LMAO

GX: Episode 152: "Activate Super-Fusion! Rainbow Neos" -- This one hasn't changed and it likely never will-- I take so much pride in seeing Judai push forward, past the fear and guilt he's carrying, all to save Johan... it's cathartic and I never get sick of watching it.

5Ds: sweats. still all of Crash Town, but also episodes 137-147-- the Ark Cradle is one of my favorite parts of 5Ds and one of my favorite YGO arcs period, and even though each duel is a fucking gut punch, I love the emotional intensity and weight in each episode... It hurts but in a mostly good way

Zexal: Episode 143: "The Aloof Duelist 'Nasch': The Destined Final Duel" -- this one hasn't changed! Still hurts, still love it, I still weep over Ryouga Shark Kamishiro on a daily basis

Arc-V: Episodes 81-82: "Our Respective Battlefields/The Ultimate Falcon VS The Black-Feathered Thunder" -- Okay, honestly, this was hard because I... genuinely. really don't like Arc-V very much at all lol (it's just not my cup of tea, but more power to those who do like it!), but I thought this duel was a lot of fun! Shun is my absolute favorite from Arc-V and I really like the friendship he struck up with Crow a lot, so here we are

VRAINS (so far): Episode 25-26: "Virus Deck Operation/Three Draws Leading to Hope" -- honestly I am so biased because I just really love Blue Angel and I loved seeing her get a well-deserved victory like this lol. I'm not done with VRAINS, so this is probably gonna change, but anytime Blue Angel or Soulburner are on screen, I'm happy

He had lost his family, his friends, became trapped into this alternative realm who was seriously not the best one for his usually sunny disposition (because he was not grumpy, darn it) and now he had lost the last thing that he had left - his little human pet. Now, alone in a very threatening world, Wygar must decide whether he has had enough or if he still has a last quest on him.

"Look at this!"

"Aw, he's so cute!"

Wygar Von Greire, the third son from the honorable Von Greire family, scowled at the two humans who were making cooing sounds at him. Cooing sounds! As if he was an infant or some sort of baby animal! His scowl deepened when one of the humans dared to lower itself on the ground and pick him up with its hands.

"Do you have it?" the infant female who held him in its hands asked, and the other one smiled.

"Yes! Yes, I do! Here." Wygar barely had enough time to breathe before one of the females showed the other a pot and, with care, proceeded to slip the two of them slid him into it.

Wygar sighed. It was the third time he had been met with just such a situation since he woke up on that pile of straw, exactly three hours ago. What was it with the human race that they found it that honorable beings such as himself were collectible? Still, a great being such as himself wouldn't find the situation troublesome – maybe annoying, or even irritating at the worst - if he hadn't much worse things to worry about.

So he once again swallowed the desire to explain to those humans that no, he was not 'cute'. What he was was a legendary warrior from the great Ascardia, the land of gods. He was a lugyeri, and an adult one at that, mind you, a being of legends that was temporarily gracing their realm with his imponent presence.

These humans should have been amazed, honored to have been one of the few to be in the presence of a warrior of the lugyeri; they should be bowing, revering him as their better, their superior. They should not be putting him inside a pot made of glass, nor carrying him away from his temporary home and definitely not thinking that he was cute.

Because he was not.

So, the humans were a tad bigger - ok, a lot bigger. The first time he'd seen a human, eons ago, he had been a tad intimidated. After all, it was hard not to be intimidated by beings that were triple, even quadruple your size.

But he hadn't faltered - a warrior of the lugyeri race did not falter, no. They often faced death with a smile on their face, following the brave God of Air and Storms' commands and fighting until either victory or oblivion.

Now, after spending quite some time with his pet human - a tiny female named Nephelle - he found that he no longer thought of them as being threatening.

Well, maybe his pet was a little more threatening. He felt a little pride when he thought of it, as he had mentored his pet into growing both as a magic user and as a fighter. Of course, it was never going to be as good as he was - it was human, after all, even if it did earn a few perks from the Gods, it would always be just a human.

And it didn't even have the advantages that most humans had - while it was bigger than him, it was still tiny close to most humans - which was why he called it his tiny pet.

Nephelle found it funny for some reason - he could remember his pet laughing at him the day he gifted it with an explanation, the silly human. It should have felt honored to have been graced with his presence alone, never mind an explanation - and she dared to laugh at him!

Well, for some reason he didn't feel as offended as he ought to have been... Probably because he felt a certain kinship to it, as Nephelle - much like himself - had soon found itself locked away from its world. No family, no friends, no nothing.

Its laughter felt a bit like a gift itself... Not that he liked his pet. No. It was just...

Yeah, he understood his little pet.

So, maybe that was why he had decided to adopt Nephelle. He admired the way that it never complained of loneliness, even though anyone could easily see it on the way it talked to plants, carved animals, curtains and... well, nothing sometimes. Even he had never resorted to that...

But then again a warrior of the lugyeri race never felt loneliness. It was a weakness that they did not have. Though a proud race, the lugyeri were not afraid to admit their weaknesses – 'the one who resists owning to their faults is owned by them', Wygar remembered Master Kyan, his favorite, saying. During his long life, he had been called many things but never stupid nor coward... Even if it had definitely been stupidity that had led him on this path he threaded right now, on more ways than one.

What had prompted him to interfere, he wondered, even as he glared at the human girls who dared to carry him - him! Of all people! A noble, honored warrior of the Von Greire lineage! He couldn't bear to think of what his antecessors were thinking of him, they must be turning on their graves. He knew his limits - he was barely an inch tall, on a world of giants. Even the little flying things people called birds seemed to be out for him, only giving up - sometimes - when they learned that he, as well, was a master of flight.

He could use air magic - which was proving to be bloody frustrating. Sure, he could whip a tornado or cause a storm, but to what purpose? He would surely be carried away to yet another place or another time.

And he would still be alone.

Not that he cared. A warrior of the lugyeri race was never lonely, not ever. And if he ventured closer to every human village and city - even after being captured in a glass made prison by a couple of particularly nasty humans - well, it wasn't because he was looking for his missing pet.

He didn't care for it at all.

He wasn't missing the sound of her voice as it chattered at nothing at all or the little house that it had built for him. Nor the little chair it had carved, or the little bites of a thing it called cookies that it left for him to find.

He didn't miss it at all. He was used to having little or even nothing, so this wasn't something new.

With a sigh, he stared around himself. The little females were carrying him around a path filled with flowers and there were some blueish lights hanging from the trees. It would be rather pretty and he would have admired the human's ability to make something already beautiful even more striking... if the little females were shaking the glass with every cheery step they gave. He could probably slip away from this place and dodge the humans - for all they were tall, their brains didn't always seem to grow with their sizes, it was almost laughingly easy to slip away through their big fingers and hide away in the grass.

Still, after this long of a hunt, he couldn't help but feel deflated. Yet another village, yet another human, yet no pet.

Where was his pet?

His belly rumbled and he sighed. He knew he was hungry, but had no will to try to leave his glass prison... not yet. Yes, he was a great warrior of the lugyeri race, but he was no longer a youngster. Were him at home, he would have quite a bunch of kids and grandkids to surround him, all begging for tales of his many adventures.

Unbidden, came the images to his head. His little pet loved hearing the stories of his adventures, particularly the ones that involved his lovely Lariah. How was she now, that he had been gone for so many years? Had she married again? Had she beheaded their children in their sleep when she married again, as the custom demanded?

Or had she remained alone to raise their six babies?

She would be able to do either, he knew. Lariah was a force to be reckoned and he wouldn't be surprised to discover that not only had she raised their babies but that she had also been looking for a way to bring him back home.

It wouldn't surprise him if she succeeded.

He watched as the girls reached a place - a place he guessed was their home, as they walked into it with no fear. Laughingly, they ran inside so fast that he couldn't quite take note of his surroundings. Soon, however, they opened a door and arrived at a place he guessed was their bedroom, because it looked a lot like the one his pet tended to call. Their giggles became even louder as they dropped him onto a bed and rushed towards a dresser to revolve inside it, seeming to search for something.

Taking a deep breath, he dropped to the floor. Soon, he promised himself, soon he would venture out and grab some food. He would go to whatever stood for a resting spot for travelers, listen to the music, to the voices, and hope to discover something. A whisper of a name, a voice, maybe even a physical description of someone like it.

Like his pet.

Not that he was missing it, mind you.

After everything that had happened to him, Nephelle had listened to him. It had given him freedom and also, in a way, a home. A place to come back to, that he knew was safe, warm, and that had plenty of food.

Nephelle had kept him safe for so long, he felt like he owed his pet a little something.

Not that he needed Nephelle's help, mind you. He had been completely able to chug along, as he had just been, proving to any who might have doubted him. He was perfectly able to survive without any help.

But Nephelle might not have been. He didn't remember much from that awful night, but he remembered having seen it, he remembered it had been badly wounded... dying.

It smiled at him - a peaceful, accepting smile. He would never forget that sight: he had seen it far too often from his comrades during battles. It was the peace that came with knowing that you had died for something that was right, that was fair. You died for your cause.

He remembered thinking that it was wrong. His pet was a happy little thing, it was rare the moments he caught her staring at nothing, her eyes filling with tears. And when it was sure there wasn't anybody around, it cried.

Of course, he had been around - his little pet was just a human, after all. It didn't have his perception of the ambient, honed by his intense training and the sheer wonder that was being of the lugyeri race. He had been blessed with many gifts, the one of hiding unnoticed and being able to detect another's presence was just one of them.

But he couldn't lie and tell that he didn't feel a bit of pride at witnessing the tears of a warrior - he might even have shed one or two of his own, not that he would ever admit it out loud. It hit him then that he respected Nephelle, one warrior to another.

The fact that she was of an inferior race didn't diminish her feats, quite the opposite, really. And if Nephelle was able to impress him, a great warrior of the Von Greire lineage, she would be able to do great feats indeed.

Determined, he had tried to yell at her. To shout at his pet, telling it to hang on, to keep fighting... but it felt as if the whole world was crumbling around him. The world was melting into nothingness, and he was falling... His last memory of his pet was of her smiling at him, that peaceful, sad little smile of acceptance of its fate.

But it wasn't dead.

He was very sure of it, his little pet wasn't dead. Wygar had to find it so he could see if it was alright, if it needed food, if it had found shelter.

It wasn't dead.

It didn't matter to him that Nephelle was badly wounded, or that they had tumbled into Philtria, the human continent. It didn't matter that he couldn't even calculate how far they had fallen - until he found his pet's body sprawled somewhere, he refused to believe it.

He was going to find his human pet.

But not because he missed it or, the gods forbid, because he was attached to his human pet. It was just a pet, and like he had adopted one he could easily adopt another clueless human.

Still, it wasn't the honorable thing to do - and his pet deserved this. It had been a good pet.

And he was an honorable warrior of the lugyeri race.

He still remembered clearly his mother telling him, with pride in her voice, of all the things she was expecting of him. She would want him to take care of the human pet. So that's what he was going to do.

And to do it, the first thing he had to do was to leave his little haven of glass.

Suddenly bursting with determination, he got to his feet and started to plan for a way of leaving the pot. He could maybe summon a great wind, but chances were that he would be hurt by a shard of the broken glass; if he made it a soft breeze, however...

Breezes were easier to control - not that he had a hard time controlling even the strongest hurricanes, mind you, but as a man grew older he often learned the uses of subtlety and grace.

He had started to prepare a soft breeze when one of the girls slipped its hand inside the pot and grinned even as it surrounded him.

"Look, he's so cute!"

"He's going to look adorable in this!"

It was with a mix of panic and despair that he noticed that, beside him on the bed's surface, carefully displaced, were quite a couple of different clothes. Some were even dresses! When would a warrior such as himself actually lower himself to wearing dresses? What would Lariah say if she ever heard about this?

In a fit of panic, he bit the finger of the girl who was holding him - and inching closer to the dress, the disrespectful little thing - and dashed past her towards what he expected to be the exit.

It wasn't.

Unfortunately, for all of his good plans and smart thinking, he had forgotten a detail – the giant humans would need an equally giant house. Not all of them would be like his gentle pet and create adaptations for the honorable beings of the lugyeri race.

Thanking his lucky stars that the girls didn't have any pets - not that he was scared of them, he was more than able to get rid of them if need be, of course – but it would take time he didn't have. He had just finished crossing the long corridor as the girls started after him, yelling for their parents to catch their 'pet'.

How dare they, name such a dignified being as himself, a pet? If anything, they would have been the pets, had he decided to keep them.

However, as he already had a pet and had no wish for another, Wygar summoned a burst of wind to help him run faster and slide through the crack between the door and the ground. It was with a huge breath of relief that he found himself once again able to explore freely this land of giants.

Philtria. Who would have guessed?

He took a deep breath, suddenly recognizing the mouthwatering scents of a pork roast, accompanied by mashed potatoes and... he'd guess it was red wine. Making a decision, he summoned a stronger air current and allowed it to guide his body towards the scents.

Humans were quite predictable, really. They tended to gather in places where there was plenty of food and drink, and when they gathered they enjoyed talk – not that different from his race, really, though where the great lugyeri would share tales of their battles and adventures, the humans tended to enjoy talking about each other.

Especially if said other wasn't present.

He surely would discover many things in such a gathering, and information was the first step in any successful quest. Surely a human would have noticed his little, wounded pet.

Glancing at the sky, Wygar, the third son of the proud Von Greire line, did something he hadn't done in so long, he had almost forgotten about its existence entirely. He made a warrior vow, hoping the currents of air would carry the noise to Nephelle's ears.

"I'll find you pet. This I do vow."
