ooooooh this is a good question and how dare you put me on the spot like this (jk but also not jk cause now i am rifling through my little brain thinking thoughts) but it's probably... i mean, it's an obvious one, i think, but it really has to be the moment jey stands up for sami at tribal court. i just love it so much. and it's one of the moments i find myself going back to watch pretty often because it's just so special. like a full-circle moment. and the line "but what you do, uce? you saw the good in me the whole time, and you never gave up on me", obviously goes without saying. it makes me wanna claw my own face off every single time because it's so fucking true?? sami was constantly seeing the good in jey, even when he was winding him up, but especially after he started clocking how roman treated jey, too. when roman decided he'd had enough of jey and he was now sami's responsibility, sami's entire view of jey changed. he saw exactly what jey was dealing with from his cousin, reasons for why jey acted the way he did, and he just opened his heart to him completely instead of shutting him out. even now. too. even when they're on opposite sides and they're supposed to hate each other, there's still that connection just fucking shining through so brightly.

but as well, back to the tribal court moment, it's because you don't really expect jey to be the one who does it. you'd expect jimmy, between the two of them. but not only does he stand up for sami (and makes a whole fucking video essay of proof that he is, in fact, ucey, so fuck you paul heyman), he protects him, too. then he gives him the lei after the trial is over which is essentially accepting him into the family and reassuring him that he is family even though roman's basically said he's still on thin ice and there's still a ways to go. a test, or whatever. to jey, to jimmy, there is no further they need to go. sami is one of them, now. to them, they love him, and he loves them, and who gives a fuck what the tribal chief says. it's just such a special, sweet moment. that whole segment, really. because sami is heartbroken, too. like, he's so hurt that he's being treated so poorly by roman, and jey looks furious throughout the whole thing, and then he stands up against roman by doing the "if you want sami to stay in the bloodline, put your ones to the sky" bit which then encourages jimmy to also stand up against roman. like, to me, in that moment, jey proves exactly why he's tribal-chief material. why he's worthy and then some of being head of the table.

and sami's little face, after he sees the video jey put together. the fact he's so fucking touched that jey uso, of all people, would go out of his way like this to fight for him, to protect him. the tears he has in his eyes, the way he has to bite on the inside of his cheek to stop himself from getting overly emotional. the hug they share after, where the emotion is just bleeding from both of them. jey being reassuring, sami being grateful and gentle. when he clasps his hands together as he's hugging jey. 😭😭😭 it's just so fucking gooooood, bro. it's so good.
