G O S S I P . . . How do you feel when you read that word? Are you a person who gossips? Do you thrive on drama? Have you ever heard something about YOU that was repeated back to you with extra bits added? How did you feel then? I have been guilty of gossiping in the past however not very long ago someone told me something about a person that was not very kind and the person they were talking about was ME!! I was SOOOOOO upset, SOOOOOO confused, SOOOOOO angry, SOOOOOO hurt...and THOSE feelings taught me how unneccessary and how damaging gossip really is... I do my best to work an 'honest program' and to keep 'my side of the street clean' and just the other day I was in a situation where I was asked about someone who I knew who was going through a difficult time...and I replied "it is not my business to share another person's business" and I walked away....now, for years I have worried about what everyone thought about me, what everyone said about me, and so on... THAT day was my turning point... Gossip kills... Restraint of PEN, TONGUE and FINGER is a superb rule to live by... If every single one of us refrained from talking unkindly about others then there would be no gossip!! Day 3 - Beliefs and Values. I would have to say in business and in all aspects of life being kind is something I deeply value. I love to make products that spread kindness and thoughtfulness but also farther than that I like to buy from kind suppliers and support other small businesses with my business. I like to buy things from other small businesses and shout them out! I like to find suppliers who are a pleasure to work with and I try to be the same way I like to be treated! There’s a lot of bitterness and hate in the world and online right now so I try to be a little glimmer of happy and kindness in it all ⭐️ - as we all should! My core beliefs are - be kind, support small, be bright, it’s okay to say no, and ALWAYS use fun colour envelopes - nothing against Kraft envelopes... If you asked me to name one couple who make me believe in soulmates and true love, I’d instantly and automatically name my parents... over 25 years together and they’re still so in love ❤️. My mum had her treatment today, and she really struggled with it. She been so poorly recently... she even cried today, which is a very rare thing. But my dad, my wonderful, kind, thoughtful dad, had this lovely surprise waiting for her at home. It’s things like this that have taught me what true love is. I’m so happy that I’ve been able to find that love for myself. My family goes through a lot of really shitty stuff, but there is one thing that we have always had in abundance, no matter how sick, poor, stressed, depressed, or anything else we were; love.
