hiya! I saw the garf purse you diy'd, and loooove it, rules so much!! was wondering if you had any tips for the process? :0 (will do some looking myself but figured I'd ask 🐱)

Thank you! I specifically picked a good purse garf because there aren’t many around the 16” size that aren’t skinny or sitting down. The jacket is build-a-bear. The glasses are real and have been trimmed/ bent to fit to his head, and then i sewed and glued them a bit to keep them in place. i hand-sewed the d-rings and pocket in so it’s a little bit messy, but the inner pouch has a round bottom to make full use of the space in his belly. Some people will sew the zipper into the plush first, but i sew the zipper to the pouch and then install it together. use a lot of latter stitching and save your fingers by using pliers to push and pull needles through thick spots. Also keep your stuffing if you do a lot of projects that require it, or you might just not like the stuffing level when you’re putting the pouch in and need to fluff it up a bit more.

Once you learn how to sew straps and zippers the world is your oyster when it comes to stuffed animal bags lol.
